In other news my husband’s fever has gone down but he is still feeling like crap. :( Yet he had to go to work today. I hope he can pull through the day and just rest when he gets home. And gets some food in his tummy. Hopefully he gets back to 100 percent sooner rather than later.
So up now is Blood-C. So few episodes left and yet….things are moving at a snail’s pace. Spoilers for Saya saving everyone!!!
Episode Summary: Saya has promised to protect the remaining 12 classmates. She starts off by trying to chop the monster into pieces but of course he is made of super tough…something and she merely bounces off him. During her moments of trying to impress the viewers with her moves a few students are killed. Saya is like RUN BITCHES and Itsuki momentarily wakes up to tell everyone to run. Only if you are the first one to run you get killed. One student does actually make it outside but is killed by the censors in a brutal way. Saya tries to fight the monster but ends up getting headaches that cause her to fall to the ground all useless like. Itsuki comes back to rescue Saya slightly as the rest of the students run. One by one they are all killed, including Yuka. After Yuka goes splat Saya goes all red eyed and is finally able to kill the monster. Or the censors kill the ugly, who knows. Saya is all bathing in the blood of the monster when the only survivor Itsuki shows up. Instead of being all upset that every single classmate is dead he is like…who are you Saya? She answers with the typical priestess, going to school type girl but he wants to know who she really is.
A plane is shown overhead for some reason as Saya and Itsuki try to leave campus. Tsutsutori shows up and asks Saya if she killed them all. Saya passes out and wakes up later at home. Inside her room are two pieces of killer candy. Later during the night when Saya is outside the candies are shown as being eaten. Watanuki doggie shows up and Saya cries as she holds him. When she pulls herself together she thanks him for…being there I guess. Mr. Watanuki puppy claims today Saya made a lot of progress. He asks her where it hurts when her friends died, who did she make this promise to, who is she really, and why is she blocked every time she tries to remember. Shinichiro shows up and Saya is happy to see him. Shinichiro admits to being at school when everything went down. But Saya takes it a different way, that no other classes were at school and that makes no sense. Shinichiro seems ready to open up to Saya, about how he feels and what is really going on when Daddy shows up. Shinichiro does a bit of glaring and promises to talk to Saya later. Daddy tries comforting Saya but Saya realizes she does not know her momma’s name and freaks out. THE END.
The last five minutes of this episode really saved it. I mean prior to Watanuki showing up I was ready to scream in frustration. Still….so many flaws people.
I love LOVE how the one person I select for the MOG death is the only crazy to live. I am sure Itsuki is so grateful for that honor. Why he gets to live one more episode than everyone else YAY!
But other than that….well let’s just say my WINNING chart from last week now stands as follows:
Elder Barins- 28
Saya- TWO! TWO!
11 classmates died in this episode today. The killings stop now my butt. One death MIGHT not be Saya’s fault as the censor failed to show how he died. Some are saying something fell on his head, some are saying he ran into the monster, and some are saying the monster poked out from the building to stab him. But I think his death still counts as it was caused by Saya not doing her protecting job.
The one person Saya protected today actually helped protect her. It is unknown if Itsuki is really a human or something else at this point as Shinichiro has been acting creepy thus EVERYONE IS A SUSPECT! But he fired his little fire extinguisher and ran like hell. Yay for living!
I thought Yuka deserved a more…climatic death. But now that I think about it Nene and Nono had traumatic moments leading up to their deaths. Their actual deaths were not so…well MOG. One got her head munched and one exploded off…well all over the screen. And since we saw 23 students die what was left to show? I just saw more fight in Yuka. At least she died last? Sorta?
Well I guess if they ran outside they would have been killed with random glass falling on their heads.
You know I was going to say more positive things about Yuka but she lead 3 other students to the roof of a building. Like….has she watched ANY sci-fi movies EVER?! We know Saya doesn’t have a TV but what about Yuka? Does she have common sense? Crazy monster chasing us…lets go to the roof where we have no place to hide or escape. YAY FOR IDEAS!
After seeing Itsuki and his @_@ face I thought for sure he would abandon Saya. He was the only one who thought HEY let’s help the girl….okay never mind I wouldn’t want to help Saya either. He did show some concern for her after she sliced and diced the monster. But he was very adamant about asking WHO she is. Like oh okay that is who you think you are but CLEARLY to anyone who has eyeballs and 5 brain cells knows you are something more than a priestess from down the lane.
Oh the violence this week? As I stated earlier I have no idea how one boy died. But we did see some stabbings this week. I am not sure how come we could see those stabbings and for weeks we haven’t seen deaths that were basically the same. Or may have been the same as I didn’t SEE them. Maybe everyone else got stabbed in the face? I don’t know. Censoring is still dumb, especially when it was the purple monster that was censored. Let’s all mourn for the purple bits on the ground.
Saya needs a refund on that sword. The monster was made of rock until the very last classmate was dead and suddenly she could slice through it like butter? Maybe she could get a better sword that actually did damage before everyone died? Good plan? Yes indeed.
Homeroom teacher Tsutsutori decided that she needed to step up the crazy. Or she noticed that the plot needed to start before they ran out of time. Covered in blood and guts Itsuki and Saya try to walk away but Tsutsutori appears to twist the knife a little more. She is referring to the classmates, did you kill them all. Why would she have to say that? Despite the fact that Saya sucks so hard at protecting everyone she does feel bad about her short comings. So was Tsutsutori twisting the knife in Saya’s heart? Is Saya really helping to feed the monsters? Am I making any sense? Probably not, like this show. I think Itsuki should have been ???? because at least he was in a halfway decent state of mind. Weird encounter was weird.
Saya waking up at home with the disappearing candy of doom is weird. I am pretty sure the blood is in the coffee. Some people seem to think the candy is suppressing her memories. But she only recently started eating the candy, she had no idea what it was at the beginning of the series. But obviously the candy is important. Since we don’t know where Fumito stands in the plot that has yet to be explained we really don’t know what the candy does. We only know it is important.
Watanuki puppy thinking that a lot got accomplished today is laughable. Same old headache, same flashbacks that go too fast to understand, and Saya saved barely anyone. Sure a lot got done today. But at least he started Saya on the train of questioning who she is. And why the heck her head hurts every time she tries to remember.
I was rooting for you Shinichiro. WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU! But you upped the creepy factor by at least 5 percent today. Maybe even 10. You were at school? I mean I am glad that Saya noticed that NO ONE ELSE WAS AT SCHOOL. It would probably be better if she noticed no one else has ever been at school EVER not just today but baby steps. Baby steps. I really like that Saya picked up on that.
However she completely forgot to focus on the fact that Shinichiro was AT school. A school where she just said there was no one else at. Who the hell did Shinichiro hear from that there was a monster? I mean maybe he heard the screaming but I doubt it. Chances are he is up to something and he was hanging out with homeroom creeper until Saya proved that she sucked.
I still want to like him though. And hope that he is on the side of good. If we ever get that far in the series of course. As nothing matters what happens in the episodes because we got a movie folks! Shinichiro was honest with his feelings and slowly he is revealing things to Saya. How long have you known me? Why does my father show up and suddenly I can no longer focus? Why are you glaring at dad? All very interesting things.
Saya ends the episode crying because she doesn’t know her mother’s name. Which is very alarming but……she lost 22 of her classmates. I think she should be crying for other reasons . Maybe I should be fair as Saya is clearly at her wits end and isn’t thinking clearly. I wonder how daddy will squirm his way out of this one.
If Fumito ends up being a good guy I will puke. Or throw things. Something will happen. And it is will not be censored.
My vote is that humanity is being tested. Saya is to be a human (as she is really the Queen of the Uglies) to show that no matter how hard things get people can still be compassionate and caring. That she can experience all these emotions and still be a good person. She herself as an Ugly chose to become human to show Fumito it can be done. Only this would probably work better if Saya had any reason to be compassionate and caring. When the body count starts getting this high what are you really fighting for?
Or we are in the middle of a time loop with the flashbacks being Saya’s other attempts at sucking. I guess Saya saw how well the saving process worked for Homura and decided to try it. The Watanuki dog is cuter than Kyubey though.

Am I the only one questioning why did lover boy visit saya's place in the middle of the night? Dad needs to get a gun...seriously.
Anonymous- Well clearly he had important things to say. Like how he HEARD what happened at the school despite the fact no one else but Ms. Creepy Teacher was even at the school. Oh and he had to glare at Daddy because the audience needs to know he is not to be trusted.
Daddy can't have a gun. It is best to give it to Saya so she can watch everyone else die and then use the gun. XD
The sword! It really is questionable!
I can understand if she missed her mark during early stage of the fight.
But, she aimed just fine! Only the sword was as blunt as a wooden ruler. Why was it suddenly get as deadly as a light saber later on?
O_O
It would make sense if she attacked using her nails, but turning monster has no relevance with the sword's sharpness...
Eternia- Maybe the sword only can work in the hands of "the monsters" and Saya can't use it properly until she goes all demon on it.
Or maybe the sword recognizes that Saya sucks and is like PSHHT I ain't working. XD
But in all the early stages of every fight I am sure I could do more damage by throwing my remote at the monsters.
