Blood-C episode 10: Pass the coffee, hold the crazy

Amen folks. Amen.

Again folks. Again. I am full of words and opinions and poorly structured sentences that make little sense. Let’s just up into it! Spoilers for episode 10 of Blood C. I hear that Saya has the crazies?

Daddy can you SEEEEE me? Daddy can you hear the words I say?!

Episode Summary: Saya is all crying about not knowing who her mother is and her father stands there….not caring. Or taking care of his daughter. Because this is parental fail week in anime land. Before Daddy has to actually open his mouth and say words an Ugly appears out of nowhere. So magical. This ugly has a human head…and that is about it. Oh and a spine and hair. It spins around trying to attack Saya but Dad apparently had the sword in his pocket and is like have at it. The one mumbles a lot about Saya forgetting and how the humans broke the covenant and blahblah. Then Ms Head talks about being hungry and how everything tastes so horrible. She demonstrates how horrible the food is by eating Shinichiro who just RANDOMLY came back because he heard a noise. Then Saya gets serious but not before the Head Lady talks about how Saya eats something more forbidden that humans. Saya finally kills the monster. She gets headaches about the stuff she has forgotten, this time of someone standing next to her and how she used to kick ass in a past life (or something). She passes out. But never fear she wakes up to Fumito feeding her “coffee” and “candy”. She is grateful and smiles. Smiles folks.

Plain please. Hold the blood and special ingredients.

Fumito then goes to visit Dad who is feeling rather peckish. Later Fumito is seen looking pale and with wrappings on his arm. I WONDER WHAT HAPPENED! Saya gets ready for the day. Since everything is FAKE Saya only have her school uniform to wear so off she goes singing and looking for her dad in the magical reforming outfit. She goes to eat with Fumito despite the fact she just saw him like 5 seconds ago. Tsutsutori shows up, beyond heartbroken that her students are splats all over the school. Or she orders tea and orders Saya to take her to the temple and show her all the awesome old books. Eventually Tsutsutori gets her to say yes and off they go to discover the mysterious of the Uglies. Only Tsutsutori is like…look dude. I am sick of this show and want to go home. All the books in this damn room are fake, Nene and Nono are outside being creepy, and you is basically too dumb to die. Wake up crack head. THE END!

Holy crap folks!...No I still hate Saya. Who am I kidding.

Just when we thought Daddy was painted into a corner an Ugly busts out of nowhere to make sure the TRUTH is not told yet. Why we have two episodes and a movie to go. We can’t have things making sense just yet. I am beginning to think that CLAMP loved the show LOST so much they decides to incorporate elements of that show into this one. Specifically I think Daddy is calling on the Uglies, aka The Smoke Monster, when things get a little iffy. Also in regards to LOST this show is not making any sense and it is hard to tell when/if these events are even happening.

Okay. Stop acknowledging she forgot something and TELL HER WHAT IT WAS!

This Ugly was actually doing a lot of talking. Some of it was repeat of everything that has been said all along. Maybe this show was made for people with memory problems? Or 5 year olds. Yes we get it Uglies. Saya has forgotten SOMETHING. Saya should not feel bad that humans are being eaten. Saya is dumb. WE GET IT.

And we couldn't do this to start with because.......?

But since this Ugly was only a head she had to use her brain right. And her mouth. Saya wasn’t using her brain as she kept cutting the hair and not the head. We can’t even blame the sword this time can we? Saya never aimed for the head until…you know…after she sucked at life. Because Saya can’t kill an ugly with survivors around.

Have you tried some A-1 Sauce? I find that helps.

Back on Ugly. She kept talking about how lately nothing tastes good. I might argue that the other Uglies aren’t doing a great job at eating. Killing yes. But last week Purple Monster of Eyeballs ate 2 out of 20 deaths. Maybe if he ate more of his kills he might have found a tasty one? I kid I kid. Obviously she was hitting at that these “humans” being tainted yet that is all to eat.

Going on what Ugly said this is obviously the Truman Show. Saya is Truman and everyone is just an actor playing the part of driving Saya to crazy land. None of the deaths are real and the monsters are here to teach Saya something. Or going down an equally crazy world we are actually watching a video game! Yeah that’s it. Saya is trapped in THE WORLD. See how fun this show is? Just make up your own conspiracy theories as you go along.

Of course it is impossible to say what is going on. What I really thing (right now as things are always changing) are the humans being killed are not really humans. They don’t taste good because they are clones. Something not real. Of course the previews for next week show some non dead friends coming back and acting creepy. Which could totally ruin my theory. CLAMP has done the clone thing before so it could be possible.

Finally someone is making sense!

Or maybe these people are really dead and were not tasty because they were bait. Bait to see how Saya would react. I say react because saving everyone is clearly not her real promise. If so there better be some suicide by sword at the end of episode 12. Just because the some people were talking at the end of this episode doesn’t mean they are REALLY there. Saya is a bit CRAZY if you would. Add in that Tsutsutori was seen molesting Saya in the previews and it could go either way. Maybe it really is happening or Saya is just not a very reliable narrator. Or she is stupid.

My post is not doing a good job of being chronological. I was trying to explain why this Ugly was a little more helpful than past ones. Purple Eyes was all like WHY YOU CRYING?! and that was about it. I guess when we get a small tidbit of information I spaz a little. Because the pacing is SOOOOO slow anything at this point is amazing. These humans don’t taste good. Got it.

Is she eating...herself? What could be more forbidden?

MsHair also said that Saya was consuming something far more forbidden. I HOPE she is not implying Saya has been eating other Uglies. We know Saya is getting blood from Fumito. Since Saya is the only one to drink coffee from FumitoRSuspicious I would guess the secret ingredient might be in that. Others in the series have eaten the candy. Either way both the blood and the something are in those products. What I am arguing is that the griffin ugly and his minions were eating the one that was injured in episode 4. So whatever Saya is eating better be something other than that or I will not consider it forbidden. But then I can’t think of anything else more forbidden than eating one’s own kind.

Oh shi

So let’s talk about the worse part of this episode and something that is pissing off everyone in internet land. Shinichiro is dead folks. Let us count the tears that Saya shed for him. Ready? Okay done. That would be ZERO folks. ZERO. She woke up the next morning and sang a song while looking for her dad. She was more worried about her dad who was NOT EATEN by a hair monster than the best part of the entire show being taken out.

Oh and can we talk about how lame that was? Um Saya CLAMP couldn’t think of a more creative way to be killed so they decides that I “heard” a commotion when I walked home 10 minutes ago. And in that 10 minute walk I forgot how awful you were at protecting people, that all my classmates were killed like…8 hours ago, and that I have no fighting abilities to speak of. So here I am, ready to investigate. Also this paragraph is about 482934873 times longer than the actual scene itself. Just bam Shinichiro is here and now he is dead.

.....I have no words.

It seems the more important the person is to Saya the more blah the death is. I always thought Yuuko was a closer friend to Saya and she was just simply dead. Saya really didn’t spend a lot of time protecting Yuuko. Now Shinichiro got taken out in 30 seconds without Saya shedding a tear? Cruel. And lazy. And dumb. Especially after Shinichiro showed some signs of rebelling. See it seems as if people were placed in Saya’s life to keep her in check and happy. But Shinichiro and his glaring at dad…it looks like if there WERE teams Shinichiro is now on team Saya and wants to help her. Whatever that means.

Not much was revealed in the “other scene”. Just that the person talking to Saya is not at the end of the table, but standing next to Saya. And we saw some past scene of Saya (A Saya I should say) in a different uniform kicking ass. Of course if she is related to this Saya she probably only kicked ass after the entire town was dead but still. We got 5 seconds of new information YAY!

5 hours later!!!!

So after not crying about Shinichiro or thinking about hey do I have a mom Saya wakes up to Fumito feeding her candy and coffee. For like 5 minutes. We get it. He is creepy!

Oh but the creepy is not over yet. We can’t find Daddy and since this is all a sham there are only a few real buildings in town he can be. So it is time for more coffee. AND SINGING! In the past 24 hours Saya lost like 99 percent of the people she talks to in the world and she is singing a song. And only stops because she is worried about her dad. Like….how am I supposed to like someone who is so cold hearted? This is some fail CLAMP. A likable heroine she is not. Mainly because she is not a hero.

How does it feel to meet the real thing Tsutsutori? Are you amazed?

Getting Saya to the Coffee Shop of Doom was an important video game move. She had to unlock wild card Tsutsutori and get her to start showing THE TRUTH. Which makes me wonder. I really thought Tsutsutori might be a researcher in town who would die finding out what Saya really was. But Tsutsutori is in on the crazy too. She is so in on the crazy she only wanted to come over to show Saya the OBVIOUS. Or maybe Tsutsutori was really pissed off that Saya can’t read. That entire room full of fake books and Saya never opened one?! Such fail.

How can you be so stupid?! XO

I mean…maybe all will make “sense” soon and I can stop hating Tsutsutori for not giving a crap that everyone was dead in the last episode. Because no one is dead and this is all made up. Made up why though? We see the not so dead Shinichiro holding up some blood and the twins acting crazy. Maybe none of this is real. Like NONE OF IT. That Saya is somehow manifesting these monsters and she is killing off Ugly parts of herself and no one is really how Saya sees them. That she is the weird girl in class with no friends. That her dad is abusive and all she wants is the nice guy running the café to protect her.

Clearly I am making up all these theories so maybe part of one can be right and I can go AHA. But no matter what I think Shinichiro deserved a better death than that. By the looks of next week Itsuki might be spared from dying (in this cycle or whatever it is) but if he were to die I think he might just be run over by a bus driven by an Ugly. Like it will happen so fast and Saya will care more about the bus being dirty than a dead Itsuki.

Oh I am walking to school today even though my class is dead. I love having my morning coffee even though it is filled with blood. I wave to Itsuki as he walks this way. Oh no he got hit by a bus. Guess he will be late to school. I see a cute little duck I wonder where his momma is. Can’t wait to eat my lunch today because Fumito made it for me. LALALA!
