Japan Trip Food Post

Why hello there my lovely readers. I just spent an hour washing the wedding out of my hair. Hopefully I washed away all the drama too because now I just want to stay home and be a hermit for the next month. XD

In case you have not had enough Japan posts lately I thought HEY want to see what the pickiest eater in the world ate in Japan? Because one should go to Japan when they don't like fish of any kind, like things dry, and noodle bowls might not be their thing.

XD Good thing for McDonalds or I might have starved!!! Enjoy but beware of many pictures!

Photobucket

Airplane food on the way to Japan. Plane was nice, people were quiet, and we had movies to watch.

Photobucket

However the food was nasty. I ate the roll and the lettuce. Kill me now folks. XD

Photobucket

After arriving in Kyoto we went to raid the convenience store for the first time. I love choco bread now and wish we had that brand here. Many bottles of water were consumed on this trip.

Photobucket

Very first purchase from the vending machine. Not soda but not really orange juice. Husband said it tasted like tang.

Photobucket

Yes folks I went to Japan to eat McDonalds. I am not adventurous like my husband. With the language barrier and my pickyness I was not going to take any chances. However the food was always hot at McDonalds and their Mcflurries tasted so much better than the ones in the United States.

Photobucket

But I do love rice and chicken!!! I think if we had ways to cook I would have had a variety of foods. But I am still here so obviously I ate enough.

Photobucket

Husband's noms on Day 3. Some of the items were dubbed mystery items on our trip.

Photobucket

Now this might look like a perfect meal for me but I asked for the burger plain. It came with mayonnaise, egg, onions, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and some kind of sauce. And there were onions IN THE BURGER!!! X__X The fries were good?

Photobucket

The husband loved his meal though and ate my egg. XD

Photobucket

Next attempt at a burger. No onions as it was an American style restaurant but everything comes with cheese. X___X

Photobucket

The drink I always got at McDonalds was called Qoo. I think this was plain flavored Qoo and it was like purple drink.

Photobucket

Are we seeing a pattern here? Maybe I should have taken more pictures of my husband's food.

Photobucket

Ramune is a lie so stock up on it when you have a chance. And I am happy to report they are not really ripping you off at conventions with ramune (as long as you pay 3 dollars or under).

Photobucket

My happy set at Puroland! The burger had onions in it but the chicken nuggets were super good. Mainly bought this to keep the bento box.

Photobucket

They had several different types of food at Puroland and my husband got a more traditional meal. Said it was very good. XD

Photobucket

Everything is overwhelmingly cute in Puroland!

Photobucket

My souvenir cup with orange Qoo.

Photobucket

Our lovely desserts in the cafe. Guess which one is mine? XD

Photobucket

Museum food near the Imperial Palace.

Photobucket

It was surprisingly good for being museum food and not that terrible expensive. Besides look how much food I got?!

Photobucket

We had no idea what the...white sparkly stuff on my husband's food was.

Photobucket

Husband's dessert. Couldn't figure out what kind of berry it was.

Photobucket

So yummy!

Photobucket

Ghibli museum noms. Husband said it was tasty except the egg.

Photobucket

Pulled the fruit out and had at it.

Photobucket

Sparkly blue drink. I think people in Japan care more about drinks that food.

Photobucket

My not so great hotdog. Bleh.

Photobucket

Panda pancakes near Ueno Zoo. Nom.

Photobucket

Delicious noms bought in the basement of a department store. Became our main place to buy noms during our trip.

Photobucket

Husband's noms. Unless you wanted McDonalds or a noodle bowl this was the cheapest way to go in Tokyo.

Photobucket

My lovely dessert that took 5 minutes to open.

Photobucket

Best meal of the entire trip. This was at Tokyo Disney in the new restaurant the Queen of Hearts. It was pricey but so well worth in. Best dessert EVER!! So very, very good.

Photobucket

You picked each plate as you went along in line so it could get very pricey if you had a huge family. But if you are at Disney you should be prepared for pricey yes?

Photobucket

Husband's meal at the Pirate restaurant. Not pictured is the best steak I have ever eaten ever. X__X I love Disney.

Photobucket

Dessert at the Pirate restaurant.

Photobucket

Husband's noms at Ginza. He said they were tasty.

Photobucket

Pretty decently priced steak at Ginza. Potatoes were good too.

Photobucket

This is sorta like the fishies people eat at festivals in animes. It is red bean paste but it almost tastes like chocolate. Husband does not agree.

Photobucket

Husband ate a sushi go round. Pay for by the plate.

Photobucket

Cafe food. The chocolate bagel was so good!

Photobucket

Edo-Tokyo Museum food. Asked for the rice on the side, didn't quite work out. The Japanese put a LOT of sauce of their food so beware.

Photobucket

The husband had better luck with his noms.

Photobucket

The dessert was a lot better. But of course I love chocolate so how can you mess that up?

Photobucket

Husband could not wait to eat his noms!

Photobucket

Husband and his dumplings at the noodle bowl shop.

Photobucket

The long awaited noodle bowl! How did he eat that entire thing?!

Photobucket

This...is not steak. It is tofu. And I feel bad for my husband who ate them.

Photobucket

Got the same noms at Ginza but the waitress forgot about us this time.

Photobucket

Husband was having a heck of a day. Thought he ordered dumplings and got bean sprouts with pork.

Photobucket

So glad we got crepes despite the rain. They are worth the money folks!

Photobucket

Last noodle bowl of the trip. Husband said it was very tasty.

I hope you enjoyed my very special food blog post. Sorry I am picky and you didn't get to see a lot of Japanese food but at least my husband was there yes? XD

I hope you have enjoyed all my pictures from Japan. We took so many I wonder how we found the time to enjoy actually being there. But two weeks later I still miss being there, walking around lost and being caught up in the chaos. Japan was a trip I will not soon forget and can't wait to get back. But now it is back to the grind for me. Thanks for reading all my Japan posts and soon anime posts will be back on their way. Hopefully XD

Geez! It would have taken you 2 minutes to look up how to say "no cheese" and "no onions" in Japanese ;P

R- Well one must remember that my husband and I are stupid. We left our translation book at home and his great plan to steal Wi-Fi everywhere was a bust leaving his phone useless (and data plans for overseas vacations are so EXPENSIVE X__X). So if we are not prepared enough to bring the book we specifically brought for the trip I certainly was not prepared enough to actually order food I could eat.

XD In conclusion there shall be more planning for the next trip. And perhaps I should try to stop being a picky eater.

But onions...BLEH!!! XD
