Pray for no drama. Normally I like watching people who DESERVE to get in trouble get what is coming to them but I don’t want to get blamed for anything. I will just listen to second hand accounts.
Now moving on the actual anime part of my blog post. Another new anime is in the wings. Up now is Kamisama Dolls. XO Spoilers for mayhem and beer.
Episode Summary: After some blah blah words there is FIRE. Children are crying and leaving the site of something horrible. Big…things are fighting and there are explosions and craziness. Years later one of the children involved has grown up and moved to Tokyo. Kyouhei arrives at a party for his college where there is drinking, eating, and flirting. Kyouhei has his eye set on a girl named Shiba. Her father came from the same village as he did and he finds her ill shaped breasts attractive. His group of friends pick him to ask out Shiba (knowing he will fail). He tries to strike up a conversation but Shiba’s friend pukes all over the place in the process. Kyouhei is ashamed that he failed and gets drunk to wash away his sadness. When he passes out he thinks back to the time where he gave up his duty as…something and how he wanted to leave the village. His sister is distraught at his leaving. He wakes up from drunky drunk times to find himself sleeping in Shiba’s lap. She smiles and says it is time to move onto the next party. Only in the elevator is a MOG dead body. They freak out and call the popo.
Outside Kyouhei thinks to himself the man had a mark on him, a mark that signifies he is from Kyouhei’s village. Shiba seems okay about the situation and skips off to the train station. After departing the station he feels as if something is chasing him and THAT should not be there. He runs to his apartment only to find IT there. It being a god doll and it’s owner/trainer/thing his sister Utao. After some hot cocoa Utao explains that Aki got out and killed some people. Oh okay. Aki is one of the children in the first scene, the one who looked all @_@.Kyouhei is like is it because I left the village and TADA Aki appears. He makes quick work of Utao, throwing her and her god doll around with his more impressive…piece. Aki starts ranting about how the village is the one to blame and he is insane. Before Kyouhei can do…well anything Utao reappears and uses her god doll to blast a hole in the apartment building. Two men from the village come to take Aki and his god away while Utao insists on staying with her brother. Kyouhei is pissed off at the village for using him again and packs his crap up to stay with Shiba and her family. Shiba’s dad explains to Shiba the god dolls which doesn’t interest her as much as Utao being adorable. Kyouhei seems okay with Aki attacking him because now he gets to live with Shiba. Elsewhere Aki escaped from the truck SHOCKER! The end.
What to say what to sayyyyyyyyyyyy.
The beginning segment of the episode was a whirlwind of crazy. Explosions, crying, and something catching on fire. It was very clear what was going on. Madness.
What happened will surely be explained later. But I still think Kyouhei has a lot to do with the explosion yet came away unpunished....
But other than madness your guess is as good as mine to what is going on. We see Kyouhei carrying his crying sister and dragging along his friend Aki. But since Aki was locked up for being insane perhaps he had something to do with the madness? Or all three of them were being naughty and Aki got blamed for it all thus some angry feelings.
Aki. Psht. That is Accelerator all grown up and without such a creepy smile. I think it will be hard to call him Aki and not Accelerator. But Aki is easier to spell so surely I will get over it fast.
Instead of facing his problems head on and helping his village recover from the madness Kyouhei gives up his duties and runs to the city. I think I am going to like Kyouhei. And by like I mean roll my eyes at a lot and thinks dude this guy kinda sucks. Maybe it was overwhelming being in that village and in episodes to come we will learn how the village causes people to flee and fear for their lives. But for now it appears that Kyouhei was near the explosion site and knows more than he is letting on.
Of course this is episode one and not much has been let on….And it seems to be a common theme in animes that if one lives in a small village in the middle of nowhere young people tend to flee as soon as possible. Wonder how these villages haven’t died out yet…
I don’t the artists involved in this anime understand how breasts work. Or how sexy breasts look like. I don’t think Shiba’s figure is sexy at all and neither should males. I understand that men like big breasts. But maybe the boobies should look like boobies and not like crazy shaped blobs that defy gravity.
I think Shiba’s reaction to MOG dead body was a little too calm. I am just assuming she is a normal person who doesn’t go around killing two year old children and tossing them in the woods like trash so I would think she would have a more normal reaction to the dead corpse. Kyouhei was trying to be all man about the situation and talk up the fact that once he saw a dead body so he is okay. So is there more to Shiba than meets the eye or did the writers get lazy? I mean this would have been a perfect time for Shiba to grab all over Kyouhei and cry into his shirt AND it would be natural. Missed opportunities there folks.
Also if my best friend puked all over the bathroom I would take her home. Or at least cut her off from the booze. Great job there Shiba. One could argue homeslice should be responsible for herself but if Shiba cares enough to take care of an unconscious Kyouhei maybe she should take care of the more vulnerable female friend.
Utao might get annoying real fast. It is hard to guess her age just because this is an anime. But I am going to go with 15. Because I like random numbers. It must have been hard on her to witness THE MADNESS, have someone close to her (Aki) locked up, have her older brother abandon his duty/village, and take on his duty/god. So since she has all that lovely stuff going for her I might be a little more forgiving. But I can sense the brotherly love is strong with this one. And if even though she is the reluctant second place for this god watching gig her sucking at her job might be old after a while too.
Aki killing that man seems random. Kyouhei mentioned the man might be from his village but to me it seemed more like a LOOK I am back present from Aki. The village must be hurting for people now that Aki killed like 25 of them in one swoop. And the village fails to make any sense by sending two men to pick him up. TWO. Without a god thingy. Great thinking there village.
The episode ends with Kyouhei and his sister living with Shiba and her father. Said father has never informed his daughter of his creepy life in the village but all is okay. Shiba is okay with the god thingy living in her house because now she can treat Utao like a sister. And Kyouhei can rejoice at the many almost naked Shiba moments that are yet to come.
I hope this show focuses more on the super natural rather than TEE HEE look boobies and aw my sister is so cute and adorable moments. Also why in 28 Days Later does the dude walk around the empty city making as much noise as possible? Does he want to be zombie food? Until next time.

I'll just be shipping the hero and anti-hero along the way. Don't mind me :)
I second that :)
Anonymous 1 and 2: XD Glad I am not the only crazy yaoi fangirl out there. But in our defense Mr. Anti-hero did seem happy to see Kyouhei. I mean he got him a present and everything. XD
You don't have to try too hard to ship those two, they're practically shipping themselves. Aki is like the Dr. Muraki of whatever that shrine-town is called.
Anonymous 3- I think they are trying to make Shiba overly sexy with her huge boobies to destroy the fact that Aki and Kyouhei have a special past. But instead they give us unsexy balloons which is going to make us ship the boys even more.
