Kamisama Dolls episode 13 FINAL EPISODE?

So much to do and so little time. But I am glad it was just a false alarm with all the Fall Animes coming out. Apparently episode 1 really means 1:30 minute promo. I was like OH CRAP. But apparently I am just far behind on everything else in life and not anime.

But the super good news is that despite the husband still having to work on Thursday despite asking for the day off…I got my way and he will leave at 2. Which will put us in Atlanta around 8pm so we can check in, get our badges, and still go to the SuperHappyFunSell. Not perfect and my husband might not be as rested as I would like him to be for such a long drive but it is better than him leaving at his normal time.

As you can see all the important issues are covered in this final episode.

So on that happy note…let’s get Kamisama Dolls out of the way. XD Spoilers for THE END!

Utao is a genius!

Episode Summary: Utao’s god doll decides to get up and attack Mahiru’s god doll. Only neither one are controlling said god dolls. Shiba and bleeding Kyouhei are tossed aside but Koushiro makes sure to save them before they go squish. Kirio takes off in the middle of the battle and is not seen again. Utao’s god doll completely smashes Mahiru’s god doll into tiny pieces and that makes Mahiru a little…unhappy. Koushiro and Moyako get Utao and Mahiru out of there but Utao’s god doll follows anyway. Shiba can be seen crying over unconscious Kyouhei. He is taken to the hospital where everyone waits and worries over him. We learn that Mahuri has gotten away and we later see her waiting at the train station. While unconscious Kyouhei has several revelations about his life, like that he is a giant liar and loser. He was full of RAGE when he found about Teacher doing Aki, he attacked people with his god doll, and he stopped being a Seki because Utao gained control over his. But he really wants to protect Shiba now so all will be okay. He wakes up to groping Shiba and it is all embarrassing.

Every show this season has had some major parent fail. X___X

Kyouhei goes to the roof to think about how sad his life is. Shiba joins him and wants him to stay in town because they are in LOVE. Yay for kisses? Upon returning home Moyako explains that she can’t find anything wrong with Utao’s god doll. Utao automatically assumes it has something to do with her. Which is probably true. Shiba says all will be okay and Utao is like bitch you don’t know my life?! Kyouhei thinks everything is his fault and I approve of that statement. Aki shows up and Kyouhei starts to scream at him for things that are not his fault. Aki explains that he is going back to the village and Kyouhei is like MOVE ON DUDE. Aki explains that um that god doll that tried to fry us is still alive and Kyouhei is like oh….They reminisce about old times and part on good terms. Utao and Kyouhei spend the night wonder about their god doll’s previous owners and how much he remembers. There is a brief scene showing what all the other characters are doing before OH NO The End!

This episode was great. We found out exactly what the god dolls are, Kyouhei went to the village and kicked some ass, and every conflict/plot point was touched upon and resolved.

Or none of that happened at all. Which do you think happened?

Still don't know WHAT a god doll is.....

Apparently or…obviously there is going to be a second season. Not sure why they didn’t wait until they had enough material for 24 episodes. I see people are saying this was a great ending. Um I really didn’t see an ending at all. Kyouhei and Aki saying Peace Out at the end was thrown together so fast I doubt that counts. But that is all I have to go on for an ending.

However this was episode 13. It feels like episode 14 will air next week. But according to the interwebs there is not enough material for another season yet. So we will just leave things…..opened?

I mean we got Kirio and Mahuri both on the run. Not sure how Kirio managed to run into Kuuko’s dad. Guess he has to be relevant despite the fact that NOTHING he did in the first 13 episodes mattered at all. Maybe he will have more to do in season two? For now he is waste of space. I guess I am more confused on why Kirio ran from battle. He had three people he considered siblings there. It was probably safer for him to stay there with people than hide alone and risk being picked off alone.

As for Mahuri….well she is sad and has reasons to run. No more god doll, Kyouhei wants Shiba, and her ticket to destroying the old ways in the village has been shot. So on the way home she goes to regroup and find that person in the “preview clip”.

Also we really hate Shiba right? Wasn’t she running outside to call for help for Kuuko. Was Kuuko mentioned AT ALL in this episode? Shiba thought she was shot. Yet all I saw was her crying all over Kyouhei. Shiba is the best friend ever.

Life must be tough when everyone has to listen to you. :( Poor Kyouhei.

I really liked Kyouhei being unconscious. We really learned a lot about him. Like he is a liar. He didn’t STOP being a Seki. Utao was able to take control over his god doll so done lost his spot. And if he didn’t lose his spot for that reason he surely got his god doll taken away because he attacked people. And after Aki killed half a room full of citizens they weren’t going to take any chances with Kyouhei. Oh and Kyouhei was pissed at Aki for sleeping with teacher which explains A LOT of his rage towards Aki even after finding out Aki didn’t kill Ms. CradleRobber.

So in conclusion Kyouhei and his emo I DON’T BELONG speech can bite me. He did belong, he was not an outsider. Aki and Teacher were including Kyouhei in their life….just not their bedroom. So his woe is me speech means nothing and is too stupid for words.

It would probably be more romantic if there wasn't a mile between them.

The only one buying his story is Shiba. Whom loves him back so I guess that works out for Kyouhei. Although I am surprised they manage to kiss what with the big hindrance in the way. You know…the balloons attached to her body?

What's a few dead bodies between friends right?

So I guess the only good thing about this episode was the scene with Aki and Kyouhei at the end. Kyouhei really has no idea what is going on despite thinking he is carrying the world on his shoulders. Aki really has a lot of reasons to be upset with Kyouhei yet he could sit there and laugh with Kyouhei about good times. And I am sure there were good times. There might have been more had people not tried to kill Aki and rape teachers and generally treat Aki like the plague. Kyouhei probably could have done more but in the end he was just one kid against the village. So while this was the ONLY moment that felt like a to be continued…it was done well. Aki acted almost…vulnerable and Kyouhei was only half an asshole.

Little kids can't see dead people. They can only operate deadly weapons. Duh.

So in conclusion this was not a conclusion at all. The little “what are they doing now” clips were just a lame way to work us into the next season. A season people don’t think is coming for a while. So we got a missing in action Kuuko and Kirio, no one is after Aki at this point, Kyouhei is still acting like MY LIFE IS HORRIBLE, and the Old Dude is still alive. Yes. A great ending indeed.

Poor misunderstood Aki. Go get the real crazies!

I can’t wait to see how Blood-C ends. Is this the season of Meh anime for me? :(

Kamisama Dolls episode 12: Is it over yet?

How is AWA only a few days away? I feel as if I am not ready at all. I don’t think the husband’s work is helping as they decided that he doesn’t really need Thursday off. Crossing the fingers he can leave early enough that we can get there by at least 7:30.

Also why is facebook suggesting that David Arquette be my friend? I know that Facebook has been on crack lately but this seems…weird. Very weird. And he needs a hairbrush.

Are people still watching us? Do I amuse you?!

In other news…X__X Why have some of the Fall Animes already started? IT SAID OCTOBER! Guess I better get on the ball and finish the summer yes? Spoilers for Kamisama Dolls being boring.

Tazer-kun!!!! NOOOOOOO!!!!!

Episode Summary: Shiba is trying to fight back at her would be rapist. Only he stole Kuuko’s tazer and manages to get Shiba back on the bed. Shiba decides to make the man less angry by bringing up Kyouhei’s name. Oh no that made him angrier? I AM SHOCKED. Thank goodness Kuuko is kick ass. She manages to take some people down, free Aki, and rescue Shiba. The random Diet Member dude catches up to the girls and Kuuko protects Shiba by pushing her outside. But Kuuko ends up shooting the Diet Member dude so this was probably a bad move on her part as Mahiru catches up to Shiba. Mahiru is not handling Kyouhei’s rejection very well. After some lovely words where Shiba can’t croak out the right words she takes a bit of a flight when Mahiru flings her. Good thing Kyouhei and the gang catch her.

Yes come back to the place that drives you crazy and be with me, Queen of the Crazies.

Mahiru can’t handle the fact that Kyouhei isn’t coming back to the village so Utao challenges her to a fight over crushed cookies. The fight is not…amazing as the girls are nearly equals despite Mahiru’s earlier victories. Eventually Utao overpowers Mahiru and wins much to poor Kirio’s relief. Mahiru is still not in her right state of mind and her god doll being useless is not helping. But maybe we should focus on Kuuko escaping with would be rapists? No. Okay. So despite the resident god doll fixer saying Mahiru’s doll is down for the count it gets up. Mahiru tries to hold it off but it eventually catches Shiba again with Kyouhei trying to play the hero despite not having ANY god dolls. Utao, Koushiro, and Kirio all try to rescue Shiba and Kyouhei but nothing seems to work. Kyouhei has flashbacks to important times in his life and vows not to lose Shiba. Only he gets hit in the head and the air is full of blood. THE END!

Kuuko should be the star!!!!

When did this become the Shiba show? I thought everyone was after Aki but now he is just forgotten in a closet. Of course he is the only one left to save the day now….Still. Shiba all over my screen.

Maybe I am angry because Shiba is constantly saying dumb and hurtful things. Like….when did Kyouhei say this would be rapist was his friend? I am pretty sure he said he went to HIGH SCHOOL with this dude. And since everyone in the village went to the same high school it means even less. I was not friends with everyone I went to high school with. So if someone is running around from Tenchi’s High School doing bad things don’t lump me in with them. Stop saying stupid things Shiba.

Knowing Kyouhei has done wonders for Shiba's mental health.

Now that being said…the stupid random almost rape was dumb. It really added nothing to the story (except to help Kuuko look AWESOME). More like look at how many awful things we can do to Shiba in 30 minutes! That and it came out of nowhere. It wasn’t like HE kidnapped Shiba. He called the head dude for help. So why is there a crazy turnabout in character? A man sees a woman on a bed and he needs to have sex with her no matter what? Crazy.

Hot potato!

Kuuko is the best character out of this whole series. I wish for her to be my friend. I mean…she was only curious about what the village crap was all about. Wouldn’t you? Once she realized things were really shady she was kicking and tazing her way to her friend. Shoving Shiba out the door and nearly getting shot herself. Amazing. The only mistake I think she made was not blaming the rapey do. I would have fallen on the ground and pretended to be hurt. XD That screaming lady would have made a great witness.

I am glad someone else thought that too.

The battle between Utao and Mahiru was meh. How was Mahiru so powerful two weeks in a row but Utao kicked her butt this week? Maybe Mahiru really does rely on that trapping technique too much. She doesn’t really have the experience thinking outside the box. Still I rather Utao come from behind than it being rather even for most of the battle. It was just boring. I can’t believe Utoa’s feelings over crumbled cookies could compete with Mahiru loving Kyouhei forever mentality.

Kirio deciding to help out his big brother was also odd. He hasn’t had real interaction with Kyouhei and Utao is the one who has been reaching out to him. Her. Whatever is going on with that situation. Very little character development/plot development going on for me to believe all these crazy stories.

The big bad killer isn't so scary now....

Why was Aki locked up in that closet? Why couldn’t his god doll break him out? This is all just weird. Still I am more concerned about the broken tazer than Aki.

Oh I forgot to say that Mahiru is cray cray. Because she is. Why won’t you go back to the village Kyouhei? Um because there is a track record of crazy people in that place? Just a thought. JUST A THOUGHT!

Episode 12 and we don't even know what the god dolls really are? Okay then.

What else happened in this episode? Everyone loves Kyouhei and are fighting for him. Kuuko is awesome. Aki is nowhere to see. Oh yes. The god dolls bleed. They are made of wood but they bleed. Bleed people. And when they get injured enough they lose their little marbles and don’t listen to their masters? I have no idea.

Blood? And I actually saw it? AMAZING!

Where the heck is this showing going? There is certainly not enough time in one episode to go back to the village and give people who deserve an ass kicking…an ass kicking. I mean…is there going to be a second season? One that makes sense and has a clear view of what is going on? All I see is everyone thinking Kyouhei is king. If that is the case why the heck isn’t this series going to end with him taking over the great god doll in the basement? You know, the reason why Utao and Kirio were separated? And does anyone care about Aki anymore?

This show is crazy. But not as crazy as Blood C.

Kamisama Dolls episode 11

The second part of my day was pretty smooth and relaxing. Exactly what I needed. My husband keeps telling me I don’t need to justify the fact that I needed some time to de-stress. Take a breather and relax. And then we watched like 4 reality shows together. XD Because apparently that is all I watch folks. Anime and reality shows. I am a well-rounded person. Does the news count?

I just realized that Kamisama Dolls has 13 episodes. Of course after this episode I see they need all the episodes they can get to explain/wrap up this hot mess. But part of me is like….really? How much more of this show can I take? XD So positive I am.

WEEEE! 4 months later and I still get excited over things like this. I have BEEN there. XD

Since I missed last week for some reason (I have no reason actually, I have no idea how it happened) we are only on episode 11. Spoilers for Shiba’s boobies.

You mean before Kyouhei ran away from home he needed to tell you all his deep dark secrets?

Episode Summary: Mahiru further explains to the audience (as Aki was THERE) that the adults did not save the day. No no it was Kyouhei and his RARW face that overpowered the random god doll. Mahiru explains that she is here to get a team together and destroy the village’s old way of life. Aki is like um dude Kyouhei is in love with Shiba so good luck with that. Mahiru responds to that information by tazing Aki. Back at home Utao has made a flow cart on what the heck is going on with this show because she is confused. Shiba decides that lists are hard and suggest that Utao should get back on her big sister plan. Utao decides that involves making candy. Kyouhei returns home and explains that Koushiro has told him how awesome he is. Everyone is so jealous.

Koushiro is at his house worrying that telling Kyouhei about his own past was too soon. Kirio enters the room and is surprised to see Moyako there. Covering up “his” chest Kirio is all embarrassed as Moyako is like wtf is all this? But she doesn’t pay too much attention to that as she has a shopping trip with Shiba tomorrow. All is going well in spending too much money land until Mahiru kidnaps Shiba. Utao and her candy making self is told of the news with Kyouhei. Mahiru proceeds to molest Shiba and her nasty boobies saying she is the right choice for Kyouhei. Shiba disagrees. Mahiru appears in Shiba’s dads place (on top of Utao’s candies) and wants to go on a date with Kyouhei. Kyouhei says that will be impossible as you just kidnapped Shiba. Things don’t go well and Mahiru disappears. It takes minutes for Kyouhei to decide that Utao and he should track Mahiru down. Moyako hops along for the ride. But they better hurry as Mahiru’s random minion wants to see Shiba’s boobies close up. THE END!

This entire episode was almost all about Shiba. This post might be short folks.

You say boobs and everyone knows who you are talking about.

Actually most of the dialogue in this episode had to do with Shiba’s breasts. Some of the other female characters have ….shall we say rather impossible chests but even they recognize that Shiba’s figure is something from nightmares.

Stop drinking all that milk!!!

However poor Mahiru is under the impression that these crazy….life forms are seducing Kyouhei. I hope that is not the case as Shiba is a murderer of many nice shirts but Kyouhei is rather stupid. Anything is possible. I guess I find it funny that everyone had something to say about Shiba and it was all the same thing.

Destroying a crazy god doll is not the same as destroying an entire village.

Mahiru’s further explanation of Kyouhei was meh. I don’t like Kyouhei to begin with so seeing further evidence of his awesomeness. But even if Kyouhei is a loser in my eyes I don’t see his bravery as him slipping into darkness. I didn’t see him as violent. I saw him trying to protect his friends and maybe slightly losing his mind. I don’t see that as evidence of him being on the dark side. I do see Kyouhei has having potential to being the strongest Seki but that doesn’t necessarily mean he will use his powers for evil.

Why does everyone thinks Romeo and Juliet is the way to go?

That means Mahiru’s sad plan will not work. I do think the village needs to be torn down and started anew. But Kyouhei is a coward and does not want change. He gets that from his lazy father. I don’t think all issues can be solved with rainbows and happy thoughts. Sometimes you do need to fight back. I just don’t see Kyouhei leading the charge in this new revolution. He certainly didn’t have his best friends back so I can’t expect him to go the mile for the entire village.

Also Kyouhei is insane. Like truly insane. Mahiru is not a violent girl? How do you know that Kyouhei? YOU LEFT THE VILLAGE. Aki is being tazed as we speak. Also Shiba has just been kidnapped. How about you stop saying such stupid things and get with the program?

Oh I see. Unless Kirio is a boy. Then him holding the towel like that is weird.

So…Kirio is a girl? Interesting. Interesting indeed.

So everyone from the village is insane? Guess he doesn't remember what happened the last time someone was rapped.

Oh and we know who that random guy is now. Remember the five seconds where Kyouhei was talking on the ground to someone? No? Yeah I barely remember either. So at least he has a reason for being there. Only we still don’t know how he met up with Kuuko.

ALL THAT HARD WORK?! This is why I buy food at the store. That way if it sucks or something happens to it I personally won't be sad.

Utao and her continuing attempts to be a great big sister are special. But I would have been pissed if I took so much time and effort into making something and it got all stepped on. I think NOT folks. Just no. Do not come between me and my noms.

Why is it all about Kyouhei?!

Overall this episode was pretty disappointing. The focus should really be on the crazy people in the village. Instead their crazy offspring are busy trying to get with Kyouhei. There seems to be a real lack of focus with this show. Aki seems to be a second thought now and Shiba’s boobs seem to be the main character. Not amused folks.

But I am jealous of all the shopping Moyako got to do. One day I dream of the day when I wake up and have the desire to buy overly expensive clothes at nice shops. XD Shopping in Tokyo is a real sport. So that was the best part of the show for me. Oh and Utao getting hit by the table was pretty awesome too.

Kamisama Dolls episode 10

Why hello there! How are you? Are you well? Or do you work with someone who gets paid a lot more than you and only worked for a total of 20 minutes today? Bitter? Yes life is unfair. XD

Today my husband asked me what I would do with 54 million dollars. Apparently my answers were all lame. XD But one of them was to get a blog with more features. And then pay a person to understand those features. I dream big folks. DREAM BIG XD So in the event that I win 54 million dollars I still intend on blogging. In between my summers in Japan and buying all the Legos in the world for my husband. The what if game is fun.

Lalala Can't hear you!!!!!

For a bunch of people not having fun we have Kamisama Dolls episode 10 up. WOOHOO yes? Okay maybe not. But we get a new character guys! Yay crazy girls. Spoilers for Shiba barely getting any screen time YAY!

And yet the only thing broken in the room is a laptop that was thrown and a pair of leggings. HMM. Yay god dolls.

Episode Summary: The random girl who showed up last week is named Maruhi and is apparently Kirio’s “big sister”. Despite being from the other family Maruhi loves her some Kyouhei which pisses off Shiba and Utao. Elsewhere Kuuko and her random dude friend bring Aki to another random dude’s office. He is a Diet Member Person Thingy and also from the same village. He is the one who freed Aki so Aki can turn the village upside down and free the god dolls for all humans to benefit from. Back in the park Maruhi is offended by Shiba’s huge and nasty boobies and starts using her god doll to do crazy things. Koushiro tries to be an adult and calm things down but clearly Maruhi is stronger. Moyako tries talking some sense into Maruhi but Maruhi seems to think she is the Queen and Kyouhei is her prince. With a quick head nod Kirio and Utao manage to team up and Maruhi leaves as she is at a number’s disadvantage. After listening to this random Diet Dude Aki is like um no this plan is not for me. At that moment Maruhi busts in. Turns out random Diet Dude wants Maruhi to help with his plan. Maruhi is insulted that trash like Aki was invited. This leads Aki losing a god doll fight and Kuuko getting tazed with her own gun.

That tazer should get first billing or something.

At dinner that night Utao is thinking back to the end of the battle. Kirio does not want to acknowledge Utao is a big sister and she is a little miffed by that. The next day Koushiro and Kyouhei have a meeting. Koushiro saw episode 1 and wants to know what the big explosion was all about. Kyouhei puts on his story hat and tells us more about his drama filled childhood. When he was younger Aki and him were flying around when they spotted the newly Seki-zed Maruhi. She is tiny and inexperienced. Kyouhei treats her with kid gloves with Aki is a bit more abrasive. They all end up exploring a random cave that feels weird. They just a random god doll. Aki wants them to claim it for themselves but quickly changes his mind when the god doll comes alive and tries to eat his brain. Soon an all out battle breaks out as the three find themselves unable to win against this memory eater. Maruhi is quickly driven mad and Aki does his best to protect the group. Kyouhei tries to drag them to safety (thus Maruhi thinks Kyouhei is the hero) and apparently the adults come to save them. Maybe. THE END!

Well if anything I guess I am happy we know what the big EXPLOSION is all about. Only took 10 episodes but we got there.

Maruhi was special. I don’t know what I was expecting. I guess someone who only clings on Kyouhei. I guess I was not expecting her to be so powerful. Or so crazy. But again coming from a village like that I suppose all the kids are crazy right?

But yes. She was crazy. Are all these kids dumb with fighting in the open? This isn’t your tiny little village sweetheart. I thought her coming in between the meeting of Kirio and Utao was a waste. I thought she was there to do something but obviously she only wanted to cause problems.

This is it!!!

The big reveal on who let Aki out was very disappointing. Kyouhei kept mentioning it so I thought it was going to be a mega reveal. I don’t even know this loser’s name. Don’t know how Kuuko knows him. Don’t know the other dude with Kuuko. Just…..some random dude that came to the village that wants to use the god dolls for “good”.

I truly believe that by the way. Obviously using Maruhi the crazy princess and releasing Aki the murderer is a sign that this Diet Member Dude wants to use the god dolls to protect and help the world. Not to take it over and get his way in life. Why would anyone want that?

Clearly not impressed.

So the reveal was stupid. It went nowhere. I doubt it means anything. Woe is me. But it was weird to see Aki look so panicked in battle. A little rusty are we?

You killed my bird....I mean sunglasses.

Speaking of panicked…my man Koushiro. :( What happened? This god doll thing does not seem very balanced. Even when Kyouhei was a Seki his doll didn’t seem as awesome. Maruhi shows up and she has a leg up on everyone else. I call foul folks. Unfair. Koushiro is supposed to be awesome.

There was very little Shiba this episode. Which was surprising as I thought she was going to be all :( about Kyouhei having more girls fawning all over him.

Look at us acting all family like.

There is also very little of Utao. She might sad that she is not the “official” big brother of Kirio. But I call it a success that they didn’t kill each other. Baby steps right? That and she did get to do a tag team battle with her brother. That should make her happy. They just had to share a look and they were battling together. People who are close can do that. Say yay Kirio.

A good part of the episode was devoted to the FIRE and the drama that happened years ago. I was pretty wrong on what was going on. It was hard to tell the size of the Kyouhei dragging along the Aki. But it was not Utao being the crying mess. Woe is me.

Aki is babysitter of the year!

I suppose Maruhi’s hero worship of Kyouhei makes sense. I SUPPOSE. I was wondering why she was hanging all over him despite the fact he is no longer a Seki. Then I remembered that Maruhi has a vagina so those rules don’t apply. If someone saves your life in an anime you either get really resentful or you hero worship them. I guess Maruhi is putting aside the fact that Aki was doing his fair share of protecting and only gave out a few minutes before Kyouhei.

Planning a uprising at such an early age.

I guess Aki was always crazy. Or had crazy tendencies. Maybe the abuse had already started. He was a Seki and that crazy bully wasn’t. Maybe that is just how kids work, they find cool things and don’t want to share with adults. Factor in that the adults in question were not the nicest to Aki and I can see him lighting up in WOOHOO time for secrets.

Kinda hard to take this scene seriously when she is all X___X eyed.

And all the adults were stupid. A god doll is moving on its own and three very talented Seki uses can’t take it down. Oh and apparently it eats minds. So what do they do? Lock it up, steal a twin, and wait to see who can gain control over a killing machine. Because that went well in Aki’s case yes?

And everything makes sense. The adults suck. The end.

At least we know why Aki, Maruhi, and Kyouhei are crazy. Well at least the first two. Maybe Kyouhei should cut Aki a little more slack. He has been through all this and also had a mind meld with a monster? Give him a break Kyouhei. Another sign that the adults in this village are horrible at raising kids. Maruhi isn’t locked up and clearly she has issues. CLEARLY.

I am going to ignore the fact that Maruhi had some magical serum that stops Seki users from using their god dolls. In a series that has barely explained what a god doll is/where it comes from I don’t want to touch on making a potion against controlling a god doll.

In conclusion I am glad that the FIREY BLAST in the past was explained but Aki’s “escape” was a letdown. Not sure how I feel about a new character being introduced so late in the game. Are they all going to go home and do their part to make the world a better place? Be it talking to the elders or blowing the elders up? I am hoping for the blow up part myself.

Kamisama Dolls episode 9

On the inside I was laughing all day. Can’t go into great…or any details but let it be known the troll at work did not get the best of me today. Laughing. All day.

But in sad news the ice cream I bought is not very amazing. And I bought a huge gallon of it too. :( I can’t bring myself to throw it away so now I am going to have sub-par ice cream for like…a month now. I say month so I don’t sound like a pig.

A gift from hell? I think so.

Anime time? Okay then. Kamisama Dolls episode 9 is up and subbed. Guess we will go with that. Spoilers for Kyouhei being all mopey and woe as me.

Yay for fathers!!!

Episode Summary: Kuuko’s dad decides to go to the café and harass Utao. He talks about the god dolls and how he thinks SOMEONE might be connected to them. Utao freaks out. Eventually he leaves and his minion is like dude you is a jerk. At school Kyouhei is harassed by his friend to seal the deal with Shiba. Shiba is talking to her friend about how she is worried about Kuuko. She really should be worried for Aki though. Kuuko is busy trying to figure out who Aki is and Aki is like…have fun with that. Moyako arrives at the café. She later explains that she came to Tokyo to fix Kirio’s god doll. They left the village to get away from the Old Dude who beats kids. She compliments Utao over her control of her god doll, brings gifts, and wants to be a girl in Tokyo. Later she talks with Kyouhei about Kirio and Utao getting together and being a family. Kirio is shown not being beat and being fed by Koushiro. Kuuko eventually figures out that Aki is from Creepy Village and is a mass murderer. She does so without seducing Aki. She demands he does something…something. Her dad comes over to investigate her house so Aki leaves or a bit.

Everyone has scary eyebrows or boobies!

Koushiro meets with Kyouhei and says the twins need to get together. He also puts the idea in Kyouhei’s head that maybe….just maybe Kyouhei needs to make decisions about life. So Kyouhei goes to his college drinking party to think about life. That is where the best thinking takes place. But he gets side tracked thinking about Shiba and how their adventure started 6 months ago. Aki is thinking about his life without the aid of booze. He comes to the conclusion that he needs to blow the village up. Kuuko shows up with a random person (or maybe we know them and I forgot?). The twins get together and Koushiro sets some rules about Kirio not killing Utao and that everyone needs to hug it out. But a voice from above taunts the group. Insert some random girl hugging Kyouhei and Shiba being jealous. THE END!

This show really lacks something….direction I think. Yes direction I believe.

This episode didn’t give us much in terms of action…or anything terribly important. Instead it touches on many plot points and tries to make it seem as if Kyouhei really has to make some tough decisions in the near future.

I should have more screen time...

Which really makes no sense to me at all. Kyouhei no longer is a Seki. Seems that only a select few people in the village want to even talk to him at this point. He ran away from the village to escape all the problems and his possible involvement in the Descent of Aki. So why would my man Koushiro say that Kyouhei needs to pick a side? He was born into a certain family, wasn’t the side picked for him? And at this point what can he really do? Scream and yell while Utao does all the work? Or is this building Kyouhei up to potentially take over the greatest god doll ever?

Yay for scaring children! You are SO awesome.

Kuuko’s dad is boring and useless. Also why is he calling them dolls? I know that is what they are, god dolls. But how would someone outside the village know that? He is on to everyone but there is no reason for him to be so confident. Did someone leave a diary out in the rain or something? And what is he going to do when he finds out the truth? Nothing because no one will believe him.

How can she say that Aki smells when her house looks like this?

I love Kuuko. I really do. But her living in filth is gross. I think I could handle her living in chaos and disorganization. But there is no need for trash bags. I know separating your trash is a pain in Japan but still. Have some decency. Poor Kuuko.

Aki is the weird one? Oh okay. XD

Also poor Kuuko. I think she was trying to seduce information out of Aki but he was having none of that. I guess she is not old enough for him or something. That and she is kinda scary. Feel my skin as I glare at you all menacing like.

Moyako is so awesome though....

Moyako being in Tokyo is lame. Super lame. I mean….I guess we know that Koushiro had to get Kirio out of the situation as soon as possible. But wasn’t Kirio safe at Koushiro’s house? I don’t know, she is fine and all but it seems too forced for her to show up in Tokyo. Maybe I was expecting her to be all WOW buildings and such. I don’t know. Weird.

Be friends or else! OR ELSE!!!

The whole Utao and Kirio need to be close siblings is weird and forced. And no one seems to care if Kyouhei becomes close to Kirio. But since no one cares about Kyouhei I guess it is okay. Maybe we should work on Kirio becoming a stable person away from people who lock him in closets. Then work him into having conversations with Utao and not throwing buildings at her.

His eyebrows look....scary without the sunglasses.

Koushiro cooking amused me. I don’t know why. Maybe he looked different without his glasses on or something. Very amused.

AWWWW!!!! POOR KYOUHEI!

Kyouhei and his moments of reflection did not tug at my heartstrings. The village is a crazy place. The village is to blame for most of the problems in the main character’s lives. But Kyouhei having to think about all this like he hasn’t had YEARS to think about it is dumb. I am not sure that I blame him for leaving Utao behind as the parents should really be protecting the kids, not the other siblings. But Aki gets my sympathy, not Kyouhei. Because I am mean.

More new characters? Do we need anymore?

The episode ended with another Seki person appearing out of nowhere. However since this show is meant to cast Kyouhei in a positive light she is all over Kyouhei. Funny how everyone in the village hates Kyouhei but all the girls still love him. But she seems to be there to cause problems so yay?
