Up next from Japan is the nendoroid Nao from the computer game Mabinogi. Enjoy!!!
Why hello Nao! I actually know who Nao is! I know weird right? Usually I am buying nendoroids and saying um I have no idea who this is. But back in the day I did play Mabingoi when Maple Story pissed me off way too much. It was a pretty fun game for about a year. Then some of the people I played with quit and my interests changed to other games. Still I know who the magical Nao is.
Nao was on my silly wish list of probably not going to happen. As you can see her number is rather low and my love of nendoroids is a recent one (even if my house is covered in them now). So I thought yeah this was not going to happen.
On a random trip to otaku central we came out of the train station in a weird way. I guess the WRONG way. We started at the end of the street instead of the middle. This way we passed a few more shops and one of the hole in wall shops had Nao. I quickly snatched her up even though I had no intentions of buying anything that day.
Nao was super hard to find and at a price of 4000 yen I thought that was the best price around. I still think it WAS a good price for a hard to find nendoroid but the price was pretty high considering she does not come with many pieces.
Nao is still a very cute nendoroid. But some people have a problem with their high price verses how small they are deal already. So while I am glad I have Nao she has the least about of pieces of normal sized nendoroids that I have. Granted one of those pieces is a cute little animal...but she doesn't have a variety of poses in her box.
Actually one of the few pieces Nao comes with is an extra wing for the owl. Would you want more poses or does the animal make a nendoroid purchase better?
WOOT! A different pose. Nao has a staff and is not afraid to use it! Of course it is hard to use a staff with a little owl on top....
I think my favorite thing about Nao is her dress. It is slightly translucent at the bottom but not completely see through. While some might think her dress is simple I think it is really elegant and lovely.
Three nendoroids down....a ton to go! XD Maybe I should worry about where I am going to put them all....Thanks for stopping by!

Oh wow, cool you got a lot of nendroids already~
Ah, you got the Haruhi shoushitsu version too! I saw one here at one of the anime cons here in the Philippines, but I would rather buy a figma version first XD
TheGirlwithChocolateShoes- I did go a little overboard with the nendoroids...But since I was saving for years and these were going to be all time low prices I had to find ways to shove them in my suitcases XD.
I do have all the Haruhi movie nendoroids. I am trying to stagger the nendoroid posts since there are so many of them. That and sometimes I have anger issues with the pieces don't fit quite right....XD
Read all of your responses to my comments just now XD
I swear, blogspot needs a notification thingy so that we know when someone comments or replies on our posts XD
Kewl, you got all Shoushitsu nendos~ *o* Also, thank you for giving me the link for the Kobato scans~!
By the way, where in Japan did you buy your figs? I wanted to know and see if my best friend who lives there can buy me some figs~ Ahahaha~
TheGirlwithChocolateShoes- I am a late little replier too so it is all good.
Most of the nendoroids did not come from the standard shops one thinks of when they go to Akihabara. It was not big brand name stores. It was instead these little tiny consignment shops. Since I can't read Japanese I have no idea what they are called. But these stores had huge glass cases where people could rent out booth spaces and sell whatever they want. They seem to be scattered all over Akihabara.
But then there was another type of shop that had the best deals on Nendoroids. I believe it was the same type deal, consignment or out right selling. Only these shops take the figurines people don't want and resell them. They look more like an established kind of shops but are full of glass cases. The two I can remember are on the main street, the side you are on when you exit the subway station. Again I don't speak/read Japanese but from the outside they look like tiny holes in the wall. They have tons of other figurines inside so if your friend is walking along the street and sees a store with nothing but glass cases that is where they should go.
Okies, thank you very much~
I'll just tell it to my friend. Just hope she visits Akiba soon XD Thanks again~
TheGirlwithChocolateShoes- I really wish I had better directions. I do know that the two places (besides the awesome Saber deal) were on the same side of the road. They might have even been the same store, just a block apart. They are on the same side of the street as the Animate. And both stores have huge glass cases when you look inside the windows. Nendoroids only take up a small portion of the stores so tell her not to give up when she sees a bunch of Gundams all over the place. X__X Also warn her the stairs in that store are really tiny.
I truly wish I had better directions. Or a picture of the store. X__X So I guess tell her to look for boring buildings since they were not worth taking pictures of. XD
I have: kira, L, sebastian michaelis and hatsuni miku
Anonymous- I have all of those except Kira. XD But my cat's name is Kira does that count?
Keep on growing your collection! They are so addictive!
