Red Data Girl episode 5: Where nothing will be explained ever

Hello there my lovely readers. I hate road construction. I am sure everyone does. It just gives me rage every time I drive by the same piece of road that has been under construction for MONTHS and no progress has been made. That 6 people are standing around watching one guy with a shovel. And it is especially frustrating when this piece of land could be closed down as there are NO houses on it. Traffic could be redirected so easily and maybe be an inconvenience of 4 minutes to people but the road work could get done in WEEKS! Weeks! Instead of now going on a year and nothing is getting done. I don't know, I guess I could go all around it to avoid it too but I guess it is the principal of it. Like you can't shut this down, I will drive through it and glare at you. Yeah...go me.

Clearly I have problems. Let's talk about an anime that has problems. Red Data Girl episode 5. Why does this show get a pre-air? No idea. Spoilers for OH I SEE!!

Miyuki likes to go back and forth with his anger and smiles.

Episode Summary: Manatsu introduces Izumiko and Miyuki to their triplet Masumi. Apparently he is Manatsu identical twin but he Masumi is supporting a skirt and long hair. He is happy that Izumiko can see him but it is unclear if Miyuki knows what is going on. Takayanagi and his regenerated spirit Brazilian show up and act all cocky about Miyuki being a loser. Manatsu says that this battle is his and when you mess with one sibling you mess with them all. Mayura is shown in her bed still upset from everything. Takayanagi explains he didn't use a curse on Mayura, just her intentions were bounced back to her. And since she hated him so she got that hurt. Manatsu steps up and Takayanagi assumes he is going to use a spirit agent without the proper bindings. Takayanagi assumes he will have the upper hand and sends the Brazilian to attack. It is brief but Manatsu breaks through rather fast and hits the Brazilian in the face. This apparently releases him from the bindings and he floats around without a body. Takayanagi freaks the hell out, saying this is so dangerous. Manatsu then sucks up the spirit like it is child's play. That is when Takayanagi realizes this person is not human. It really has been Masumi the entire time facing off against him. Masumi lets it be known he will not stand for his siblings being messed with. Then there is a touching scene with Masumi visiting with Mayura. Izumiko watches this touching scene and later talks to Miyuki that she is happy she came here. She used to feel like a freak but now realizes there are way more freaky...I mean awesome people than her. Miyuki smiles and is glad she is making new friends. However to keep those friends she better not tell them who she really is. The siblings think Miyuki is the one with powers and Izumiko is the friend. And since Miyuki sucks they are not a threat. They start to walk back to the dorms and talking about the politics of this school when TADA Daddy Yukimasa arrives. He says he will be a part time teacher because he can protect Izumiko and Miyuki sucks. Miyuki walks off all mad and Izumiko is sad. At school Yukimasa is treated like a rock star and Izumiko feels out of place. She tries to talk to Miyuki about what she should do if people ask if Yukimasa is Izumiko's dad. Miyuki has decided that he no longer wants to be around Izumiko since she is associated with Yukimasa. He runs off to talk to someone on the student council, Kisaragi. Izumiko decides she has not lost anything as she dries tears from her eyes. She leaves a message with Yukimasa so they can talk as talking directly is frowned upon in this anime.

Time for girl tears!

She and Yukimasa meet at a popular temple where Izumiko can ask other questions and not the ones she had. Basically Yukimasa says that this school is to protect those who can communicate with spirits. Yukimasa and people like him think that if those who can communicate with the spirit world go extinct the earth will then turn against humanity and POOF they go. Izumiko is like...okay but why does your son hate you? Yukimasa doesn't seem to know why his son would hate him but that he needs to man up and do his job right. Yukimasa is then kidnapped by young girls who want to take his picture. Izumiko goes back to school feeling depressed. It doesn't really help when she sees Miyuki and Mayura talking about student council stuff. She loses her damn mind and runs off all upset. She runs to a tea house looking place and decides to dance to take her mind off things. She is spotted by “Jean” who might be Kisaragi in drag. I think so anyway. He/She (because I don't know, nothing to do with gender identity) says they are the student council president and wants to show Izumiko something. Miyuki is in the student council room and is told by another member that the president really is not president. That a person named Hodaka is really calling the shots. And that is the person that Izumiko has been taken to see. He wants Izumiko to dance for him. Izumiko says no so Hodaka puts make-up on her and talks about how make-up is like magic. After being all dolled up Hodaka asks her again to dance. Izumiko says no and Miyuki runs in to save her, saying that Hodaka knows who she is. Izumiko is like um why you caring about me you said not to talk to you. Miyuki and Izumiko start to get into it when the goddess takes over Izumiko. The goddess seems to know Hodaka and acknowledges him. She then turns to Miyuki and says that Izumiko cannot become her or all of humanity is doomed. Izumiko wakes up with Hodaka and Miyuki reaching some sort of agreement. Miyuki and Izumiko walk back to the dorms, where Miyuki says he will try to protect Izumiko even though he knows he is weak. Izumiko says it is fine since she needs to learn to take care of herself. But Miyuki gets all blushy face so who knows what is going on. THE END!

Me either. Glad we are on the same page.

Like really show. REALLY. I complain about other shows throwing out terms that make no sense and leave me feeling confused. With this show NOTHING is explained. No terms seem to be used. So with this show I am in the dark whereas I am just overwhelmed with other shows.

Miyuki has no problem being wordy. XD

Also I wrote so much! I had to go back and blog the summary while watching the episode again due to all the names as I was getting slightly confused. When I blog like that things tend to get really wordy. But I am wordy in general. But yeah got confused. Especially when people are sounding a little feminine and wearing skirts but maybe identifying as boys. And I don't want to misgender people so I get paranoid and what not.

They don't have scissors in the spirit world.

But it was slightly confusing when Masumi started off looking one way but when Takayanagi showed up Masumi was looking like Manatsu. Like thanks for trying to confuse me. Of course no one really mentioned the fact that Masumi was dead. Because this is the show that doesn't say what is going on. You are just supposed to know the triplets are so magical and spiritual that they can still use their powers in death. Because that is how cool they are. But don't mention the fact that Masumi is dead. You just know.

....This would make my face blow up a million times. XD I am in danger.

Takayanagi went from the most confident person to crying on the ground. I sorta did by his excuse though with the computer blowing up. He really didn't curse anyone but did a bouncing off kind of magic. Like oh if you are pure of heart this website will just be some lame way to get student council votes. If you hate me this will blow up in your face. Like a booby trap you should have known about.

He was big and bad for 5 seconds. Good job being a baddie.

But really his fall from grace was pretty hilarious. I thought the entire episode was going to be all three siblings going up against Takayanagi and Miyuki trying to help and Izumiko finally realizing how serious things are. I really did think that. But Takayanagi did one move with his Brazilian ghost thing and that was it. Masumi hit the ghost thing and that was it. Like with his hand. Poof. Then Takayanagi cried and Masumi slapped him around. It was very, very simple. And nothing got explained. A ghost got rid of a spirit and that is all that matters I suppose.

Since we look weak we can be friends with them!

Izumiko decided this was all touching and that she needed to talk to Miyuki about it. I thought the conversation was going well. Miyuki acknowledging how in over his head he is, that Izumiko needs to keep it on the down low who she really is (even though Takayanagi knows...), and that they are in this together. Because Izumiko didn't have any friends back at home. Time to sparkle with Miyuki and learn about who she is without telling the audience about it.

Izumiko is like what the hell is wrong with your screenie Tenchi?

That all lasted about 5 seconds. When Izumiko and Miyuki were walking back to class and talking about how the student council is in an uproar over Takayanagi bowing out...Daddy dearest shows up. What the hell is up with Yukimasa? I mean I don't understand him at all. Clearly this kid hates you because you ran off to take care of Izumiko. Then with no training (well real life experience) he was supposed to protect the goddess Izumiko. Then POOF you suck and I am here to be the real protector. Like what the hell. Miyuki was never going to be a good protector with this background! Throw him in a school with people more powerful than him and he was going to do bad. Dad of the year this man.

And it all makes sense!!!!

At least Yukimasa explained a bit about what is going on. That this school was to protect those who can see spirits because...the world is in danger. Now that he backed this up with any facts or anything. Just that the earth will sense we are not in tune with the spirit world and will send giant trees to kill us. Something like that. Now I would argue that maybe having more adults at this school to make sure these special kids don't kill each other is in order but that would make sense. Also Izumiko might need the most protection and education so lets stop the math classes and get on with the power learning.

So eff you!

Miyuki really hates his dad. I get that. But him taking it out on Izumiko is getting a little old. She really can't help that she has a goddess in her and that his father protected her. I get that he wants to take it out on her but eventually he should realize that it is not her fault. None of this is her doing and he should either leave her alone or be nice. Not this back and forth emo crap. I don't want to talk to you indeed.

But Izumiko did have a special moment. Miyuki was talking to her friend which means that he is cheating on her even though they are not together and she had to run off and have a high school girl moment in the rain. Now my tantrums of crazy usually involve throwing the remote and a lot of 4 letter words but Izumiko's involves dancing. Maybe she danced the crazy out of her head but I guess she is at that age where emotions can get the best of you.

Look at you, going to Tokyo and wearing lipstick!

The entire thing with Kisaragi and Hodaka was weird. I mean...is Miyuki just stupid for thinking that keeping Izumiko a secret is going to work? Because if everyone else is more powerful that Miyuki maybe they can just see that she is special. Like oh okay you keep that a secret. But I am not sure what they wanted with Izumiko. I get they were going to tell what she was by dancing but I don't know what they were going to do with her.

And how exactly is he going to stop it?

The goddess comes out at random to tell everyone....hey if I am reborn that spells the end for humans. Which makes her whole little Izumiko will be the last carnation of her. XD Because there will be no more humans left weee! Now why this is going to happen I don't know. Guess Daddy's school isn't doing the job he thinks it is. Now killing Izumiko might be the easiest way to keep the world from ending but that would make too much sense.

And what are you going to do exactly?

The episode ends with Miyuki and Izumiko being weird. Miyuki basically says he will stay by her even though he sucks and Izumiko agreeing. Like oh okay I guess we have...moved forward? I don't know how Izumiko can depend on herself as she has no idea what she is or how to use her powers, if she has any. And Miyuki won't get any stronger at this rate but I guess acknowledging it give you brownie points. Crazy kids, arguing over talking to people and wearing lip stick. What a weird show.

Arata Kangatari episode 3: Did someone say trust?!

YAWN! You would think that I would try to get all the blogging done earlier in the day so I am not typing and yawning. I need to become a morning person. Now that my partner in crime has a new job that makes her get up way early I have no one to text in the middle of the night. So lonely! And Kira doesn't really talk to me. Well unless meowing because I can't pet her 20 hours a day counts as talking. YAWN!

The many sad things that don't happen to Hinohara!

So anyway one more post before I go to bed. XD Either clean the house tomorrow...or watch Blood-C: The Last Fail. I think the vacuum cleaner might win folks.

Back away from all the scary people.

Episode Summary: Hinohara and Kotoha are still in the shocks over the almost dead Princess talking to them. All talking must take place over the entire land in the sky. The Princess explains that she exists to control those Sho folks and their god swords or surely they would use their power for their own gain. She wants Arata to take her place and protect the kingdom. She needs him to bring her his god sword and that she trusts him. Arata starts to lose his mind over the word trust but Kotoha thinks all is skippy because she trusts him too. They are dropped off on a tiny island that has a creepy prison on it. When they walk in it is not fun city. A bunch of down on their luck people looking at them and whispering that Hinohara is the princess killer. A young punk and his side kick immediately try to kill Arata but are interrupted by the...pipes that come alive. Apparently it is the Reckoning Hour and two people are captured by the pipes, taken to the warden of the prison. Osome and her boobies explain this to Hinohara and Kotoha, taking a hair pin for services rendered. Hinohara takes a minute to think about trust and how he can't possibly do the task given to him. Kotoha finds a sorta....spring type area in the prison and encourages Hinohara to take a bath. She then heals his wounds with magics, stating her clan has that ability to do so and basically she is there to serve him. Hinohara is touched again...and the ground opens up and Kotoha falls many levels in the prison. Hinohara looks on...and then takes off looking for her. But not by jumping down into the hole but running the entire the place. He keeps asking people if they have seen Kotoha but he has seem to forgotten that people hate him. A huge gang of people run after Hinohara and he has to hide from them, all the while feeling pathetic. He sees some...random floating shadow telling him not to cry which is weird. Then Osome comes by and tells him for free where Kotoha is.

Back at the capital all the citizens are upset that the Shos are leaving to go back to their own countries. Kannagi and his main character self have been studying all the god swords in exists and is convinced that Hinohara has a new one. Akachi shows up to ask what Kannagi was thinking when he sent Hinohara to the prison and not to hell. Kannagi says he is planning something and will tell Akachi later what he has found out. Back at the prison Kotoha has been rescued by the two punks from earlier. The red headed punk is named Kanate and the younger kid is named Ginchi. Kanate seems to have a crush on Kotoha and she shows no sign of trying to run away. Kanate explains how they ended up in this joint. That Ginchi was kidnapped by some gang members one day and Ginchi took him under his wing. Only when things went south in the gang the two smaller members were blamed and TADA now they are in this amazing prison. Ginchi leaves the two lovebirds alone but Kanate has no idea what to do with girls. He quickly goes after Ginchi but finds him hurt on the ground. Hinohara is nearby so Kanate blames him for the attack. There is a brief fight before Ginchi explains he was actually attack by the gang that was after Hinohara earlier. They stole his ring that his dead mother gave him so Kanate goes after those fools as Hinohara takes Ginchi to Kotoha for some healing. Ginchi is worried about his friend and says he is really not a bad guy. Kanate does appear with the ring in hand. Kanate and Hinohara for their respective saves of the day...but Kanate is like we even now time to fight. Hinohara, who has decided that he will serve the Princess and take on her task, takes a deep breath and takes out his sword. Kanate doesn't really have time to be impressed as the pipes come alive again. Kanate seems to think that others are going to be picked but POOF the pipe comes and sucks him up. Hinohara again looks on in horror as a pipe comes to suck him up. Ginchi pushes Hinohara out of the way so he can be sucked up instead and join his “brother”. Kotoha starts screaming that they need to rescue the boys and THE END!

Um...you is creepy.

Well remind me not to get arrested in this universe guys. X___X Just...no bueno at all. Like haha I am going to torture you instead of putting you to death. Such a sad life indeed.

Why not...just get rid of the swords?

Before Kotoha and Hinohara make it to this lovely island getaway they have to finish their conversation with the nearly dead princess. Who doesn't open her eyes the entire time. I mean she has other things going on, staying alive and all. But putting that aside....what is the point of being a Sho? Like the princess exists to keep them in check to make sure they don't use their powers for evil....what if the princess is evil? Why not just get rid of the swords all together so there doesn't need to be a check and balance system? Oh because they have to destroy the nonexistent monsters I haven't seen yet? I see. Maybe the Sho have a reason to be upset over being controlled. Like here you are special but now that I am in power you can't use your powers which will obviously leave a bad taste in your mouth. TADA!

I WANT TO BELIEVE!!!

But the princess was being so amazing. Like I will get Hinohara to do my bidding. Come and accept my mission. Bring me that sword that will apparently turn my fate around. I wonder if it will give her energy. I still think the princess had some idea of what was going to happen to her. It seems way too fishy for me. Like maybe she knew that Arata was going to be a boy and she was like eff this, I am done. So you come bring me this sword Magic Knights Rayearth style and you can protect the rest of the country okay? Because I will say...I trust you!!!! Okay maybe there is going to be less than that. More likey the princess is a good person and all these people were tired of their lot in life. Still princess is being gangsta, using the trust word on Hinohara.

I really didn't think they were going to a prison. I actually thought they were going to some awful place, deemed unsuitable for life. Like POOR here is a wasteland have fun dying from monsters and starvation. But I guess this prison from hell works too. I wonder if they all get fed or not. Or how they get more people. If two people die every day they would need a LOT of criminals to fill that jail. Do they just round up the homeless people or something?

Great I am here to kill you!

In any event Hinohara ( I keep having to catch myself from saying Arata) was not welcomed with open arms. He is the newbie AND the princess killer. Guess word travels really fast even if you are in the middle of nowhere. I guess there is honor among thieves. It is okay to steal and what not but killing our kind princess...no bueno indeed. They are hard core thugs ready to mess you up...until the pipes come alive and it is all crazy up in here. For a country that looks way back in time they got some futuristic things to kill people. Pipe suckers, War of the World style.

Men don't have nipples in animes. I see. Well don't see.

I like that in this awful place of awfulness Kotoha and her lovely self was able to find some amazing place. Like I have been here for 5 minutes and found the best spot in the entire spot. Surely no one would have ever thought to stake a claim in the cleanest part of the prison. Now take off your shirt so I can show you my magical powers and I can talk about how lovely you are and that I trust you. Trust. TRUST! But really Kotoha being magical should have been the first thing out of Granny's mouth. Like keep Kotoha with you, she is an HP pot. Granny was keeping important facts from Hinohara.

Well storing a sword in your arm is a little crazy too....

When Kotoha went missing it got a little crazy. Like I know Hinohara isn't a jumping bean but DOWN seems like the logical way to go. Especially since they just got there and they didn't know the lay of the land. I am not faulting him for freezing up....at any of the times he froze up but running around and asking for help from people he didn't know felt special. Like I think they were just trying to kill you but I guess...it is desperate times. Yay for running fast.

See we are good kids!

So Kanate and Ginchi. What do I think about them? Well obviously their story got told way too fast. Like they went from hacking heads to people that Hinohara and Kotoha want to protect by the end of the episode. In this entire prison these were the people who really went after Hinohara. These kids. Like oh okay look at you big pimpin in your amazing...home of stolen stuff.

We are such sad little boys.

Fast forward 5 seconds though and they are saving Kotoha. Getting rescued by Hinohara despite the fact that he thinks that they stole Kotoha. Telling their sad life story of being in a gang against their will and being framed. Of course since this jail loses 2 people a day I would say throwing the entire gang on the island would make more sense. But the point is...these kids are criminals with hearts of gold. Misunderstood really. Kanata just wants to get Ginchi out of this hell and killing Hinohara seems to be the best way to do that.

Look at you trying to be important and all.

There wasn't too many other people who stood out in the jail. Everyone else was too busy looking the same and mumbling about Hinohara being the princess killer. There was a shadow person talking to Hinohara during one of his many moments of doubts (TRUST ISSUES). I am assuming it is the warden since apparently he is a Sho and has special powers. Then there was Osome with her well of information. Like look at me, being jaded and what not. But Hinohara touched her heart too. It seems to me she will show up again as she has expressed missing someone as well.

Gosh get off my back bro.

Outside of the prison things are not going well for the other citizens. I thought the Twelve were going to stick together and do their plan. But I guess this was as far as the plan went. Kill the princess and we each get a piece of the pie. The pie being the country. Kannagi isn't ready for his pie yet as he is curious about Hinohara. If he had killed the boy he could have gone on with his life as he had planned it but...I guess not. Makes too much sense.

POOR HINOHARA! Being rescued and all!

The episode ends with both Kanata and Ginchi being the ones sucked up by the creepy looking cable things. And since they went from enemy number one to misunderstood gang members Kotoha and Hinohara are upset. Hinohara likes to make all the tragic things about him though. Like woe is me I am so sad and useless. TRUST! So clearly there is going to be a rescue but Ginchi might need to start praying. He ain't traveling around with Hinohara in the opening song!

Suiseu no Gargantia episode 3: The Fried Chicken of Friendship

Post number 2 weeee! I got slightly distracted earlier in the day. Facebook can do that, especially when it won't upload my pics properly. Oh no, what do you mean I should put the pics in the order you select them? Nope I will put this one here and this one there. Technology. Bleh who needs it. And I am sure if I asked my husband for help it would work for him, making me look like a crazy person. Sorta like when you take your broken car to the mechanic and magically it works again.

I guess if I didn't have technology I couldn't be blogging. So I guess I know who needs technology. Up now is Suiseu no Gargantia episode 3. Spoilers for pirates ARRGGGG!

This is not killing people obviously. OBVIOUSLY!

Episode Summary: Ledo returns from blowing up the pirates as everyone is informed that...well there are no more pirates. Everyone puts on their shocked faces and Amy screams at him when he shows his face. Ledo sits out with Chamber wondering why everyone is so angry. While Ledo thinks this is the locals being weird everyone who seems to have a position on the ship is talking about how they are screwed now, that the pirates will come back for blood. There is talk about giving Ledo to the pirates or sinking him in the ocean. They do decide he can't stay there. Amy starts feeling bad about the situation as does Bellows. So they hop on Amy's little hover thing and bring Ledo a dead chicken. Ledo is like is this real life as Bellows explains here on Earth they don't kill. Now eat your chicken and don't mind the pirates trying to kill us. Ledo tries to make some good points but eventually eats the chicken and acknowledges that pirates will come back to cause problems. Some of the nondead pirates make it back to their leader Rackage. She and her love slaves are all like oh there will be blood!!!! She seems to think she has something up her sleeve for this battle. Amy's ship spots pirates coming...like 7 hours away and plans are made to defend their home. Bellows decides to ask Ledo for help, as she believes in him. Ledo is told he is merely going to be a distraction and what not while everyone else fights. Ledo agrees to this but when the battle comes he is upset that he has to sit around and watch everyone shoot at one another. There is a sneak attack with a submarine and Amy's ship starts to take even more damage. Ledo tries to destroy the weapons without killing anyone but sees that Rackage and her love slaves have left the main ships with impressive mechas. Rackage goes to the main ship to killer the fleet captain which he will be okay with if everyone else lives. Before Rackage can do that Ledo appears and attempts to stop her. Rackage seems to think that she and her love slaves will drown Ledo in the ocean. Ledo warns them about 4389483 times to surrender and when they don't he throws them far into the ocean. All the other pirates retreat when they see their captain is seemingly lost at sea. Ledo is accepted and thanked a million times. Amy seems to personally ask him to stay at which he says thank you too. THE END!

Killing people trying to kill us is wrong!

That was a really simple little episode. That means that this post should be short and sweet right? Lets see if I can manage that.

How dare you protect us!

As everyone and their moms predicted Ledo was not given a parade upon returning from the pirate ships. Or the burning piles of metal in the ocean. Everyone was like YOU SUCK! Amy and her shiny elbows and shoulders are especially voicing her opinions rather loudly to Ledo's face. Like MOG how could Ledo, a person with a shiny weapon of power, kill the pirates. The ideas ranged from giving him to the pirates to killing him and taking the weapon. I think all of the ideas had different levels of dumb. Like he is way too powerful, lets give him to the pirates? YEAH that is a great idea if we want to die faster. And I would argue that killing Ledo might be a good idea...but it is not really doable. And goes against their whole killing is bad ideal.

Poor under appreciated Ledo.

Also as predicted Ledo did not understand why there was no parade. Well if he knew what a parade was. But he was asked to save them from villains, he did so, and there was no cheering. Instead all weapons were pointed at him. In Ledo's world it is kill your enemies or die. Ledo was told that things weren't all peachy keen on planet Earth and pirates were a problem. So when they were stealing things and attempting to maybe rape the womenz Ledo finished it off with no causalities on the “good” side. Parades are for...losers I guess.

They are trying to kill you! Don't eat the deliciousness.

So while everyone who seems to be important is discussing Ledo's fate Amy has decided she was a bit mean. And maybe Bellows was too. I would like to point out that THANK YOU never escaped anyone's lips. Instead Ledo was given another dead creature to eat which at this point I think he doesn't consider them gifts. More like oh will you eat this? A CHALLENGE?!?!? It's like I can hear Ledo saying BRING IT ON in my head.

Um...I think there was going to be a rape. Let's not make the pirates sound like Captain Jack Sparrow okay.

In any event...Bellows and Amy did not do a great job explaining why killing is bad. Not a good job at all. I don't think Ledo should have said that he understood because I didn't. It is said that your friend catches a fish and you give them a drink of water. But then in the next breathe they admit that the pirates want all the fish and water bottles and Duffy clothes. So.....I don't know what they were trying to tell him. Like mixed messages here. I thought they were going to say that the pirates never kill anyone and it is just something all the humans do, steal from each other and threaten each other but it never goes that far. But the pirates DO do that...so....what was all this about? Ledo made great points but then caved because KFC is awesome.

A lesson indeed. Maybe they will have more feathers for you to steal?

The other pirates are not pleased with their friends being poofed. Especially Rackage, the pirate Queen complete with slaves. Only later in the episode they didn't look very slave like. Either way Rackage was like oh so this new type of weapon just poofed the other pirates. Well surely I can take them on. Interesting. She must have some power if she gathered up everyone else as fast as she did but still. Dumb plan was dumb.

I like how Ledo was responsible for everything that happened. Like um you asked me to help and I did. But now you are being Japanese and acting like you are pregnant and I need to take responsibility. Also how amazing was it that everyone took forever to figure out that awful plan with Ledo just being the bait. Like guys...we can use his power....to do nothing...while our bullets kill people instead. Because that will be different!!!! Only not really. Because instead of having Ledo just target their weapons would be silly. No no we will just fire warning shots at the pirates and when they kill us we will think that we are the better people.

Good thing Ledo didn't shoot her down.

So obviously this battle was painful to watch, as a viewer and probably for Ledo. Like you don't want me to kill these people but it is okay if you take on damage and get killed yourself WHILE shooting at them. I see. Then Rackage, Queen of the Racks, decides that her surfing mecha was going to actually win against Ledo. I am not sure what she was thinking. She did get reports on how all the other pirates died. I mean maybe Ledo and Chambers would have drowned in the water but had Ledo been allowed to fight from the start she wouldn't have surfed over the first ship.

There is your parade. Your parade of fish!

After taking care of Boobage and her two love slaves Ledo is hailed a hero. He learns a word in Japanese. And he is allowed to stay. See folks, you too can warn people before sending them off to die and be accepted into their meat eating culture!! This post is way too long for the content of the episode. X___X Sorry.

Shingeki no Kyojin episode 3

Hello there my lovely readers! The weather needs to make up its mind. It's raining, it's 105 degrees outside, it's cold, ect ect. XO I live in Florida. Why is it still cold at the end of April. We have 4 seasons here. Hurricane, cold, hot, and boil egg on a sidewalk. According to my Florida resident calendar it is hot time! Honestly. But I guess since there are people digging out snow...I don't have it too bad.

Time for nightmares!

In any event...anime time! Hopefully three posts tonight. Up first is Shingeki no Kyojin episode 3. Spoilers for lots of training and bonding.

Episode Summary: A time skip has occurred and Eren and crew are now old enough to join the military. It is their first day and as such their training officer is calling people maggots and what not. He goes down the line and picks certain people to yell at. Two older officers walk by and watch the process, explaining not everyone has to be torn down and rebuilt as that has already happened to them IE Eren, Mikasa, and others in the crowd. Armin, a potato eating girl named Sasha, and cushy life seeking Marco are among the ones yelled at. Potato girl Sasha ends up having to run for 5 hours straight for her craziness. Eren watches the wagons leave with the washouts, saying good if they can't hack it they should leave. A few other trainees ask Eren where he is from and when he states it everyone is like MOG tell me about the Titans. This trickles over into dinner time. At first Eren talks about the Titans but he has a moment where he freaks out thinking about his mother. It is recommended people back off him but Eren is like no no I am going to kill all the Titans don't worry. Eren almost gets in a fight with a fellow trainee named Jean but then they squash things and sorta shake on it. Jean then tries to hit on Mikasa but gets upset when she is clearly...with Eren. Potato girl Sasha has passed out from running and another girl named Krista brings her food and water. Ymir, another female candidate, sees this and basically calls out Sasha for being a suck up. Ymir then proceeds to help Sasha out so the girl will owe her later in life.

You might want to dial it down just a bit.

The next day the trainees have to practice....being stable on bungle cords so when they get their gear they aren't crashing into trees. A lot of the trainees seem like naturals. Eren....can't get balanced to save his life and keeps crashing to the ground. This causes a lot of teasing to come Eren's way, as he was the most outspoken about killing Titans and that losers need to step to the left. Mikasa and Armin try to help Eren outside of practice but he keeps on failing. Mikasa says that Eren wanting to be a soldier won't make him one and if he gets washed out she will join him. Eren does not accept this and asks other trainees for help. This leads to more teasing. Later Eren and Armin seem to make friends with two people Bertholt and Reiner. They came from a village that did not receive notice of the Titan attacks until the Titans were there. Bertholt wants a cushy life inside the inner walls while Reiner wants to return back home. They seem to bond with Eren and Armin as they all know about how horrible Titans can be. The two boys seem to help Eren with his balance problems so Eren can go into the next with confidence. For about 5 seconds Eren is balance but falls on his face again. He starts to get upset when their training officer declares Eren's belt rusty and gives him a new one. Eren is then able to stay balanced and can stay as a trainee. Both Mikasa and Eren are happy for different reasons. THE END!

Determination does not pay the bills or save lives. Well in real life anyway. XD

Another episode that pretty much....well simple to explain. Yet my summary wasn't that short. I suffer from the wordiness!! Can this ever be changed?!?

Just....this is too awesome for words. Or stupid. I can't tell.

Like I said last time I think it was wise to do the anime this way, getting all the training out of way. In the manga (I don't think this is spoiler) all the training is shown in flashbacks. Like chronologically the next bad thing should have been happening now and then training flashbacks happen when something important happens. Like who is this character, lets have a flashback. I think this way the viewers can get a better understanding of who the characters are and why they are important. That way when the awful things happen you can feel connected to the characters. I think this is a good step.

And now she is 21....

Of course after a tiny time skip....everyone looks completely different. I mean I know in junior high I was looking 19 kinds of awkward. But Mikasa is a grade A hottie, Eren looks like he is 18 and ready to join the actual military in real life, and some of the other boys in class are beyond tall. I am surprised I didn't see facial hair. I wonder if this was done so when people start dying it isn't kid violence. Has anime ever shyed away from that before though?

Brings a tear to my eye.

I like that people were being screamed and what not. Made it feel more real. And the explanation behind it...sorta made sense. Like your parents tell you all the time you are magical and wonderful and here this guy is screaming in your face. Also if you can't handle someone yelling at you you probably can't handle a Titan running your way. So this all makes sense to me even if they are little kids.

Potato girls are everywhere!

Through this yelling we were able to learn about some of the characters. Of course Sasha comes across as a dumbass. I am sure many of these kids didn't have much to eat growing up so...starving really doesn't cut it. Especially when you see a lot of other people getting yelled at. Like dumbass put the potato in your pocket and eat it later. I thought the scene with Ymir and Krista could have...well made a little more sense. You were supposed to come away with more of a sense that Ymir thinks that Krista is a kiss ass, doing good things because she wants to be recognized and what not. That might be more of that to come on a mission and maybe it will be better explained then. But obviously Ymir can't be that much of a hardcore person as she did help Sasha. Given how crazy Sasha is how can she possibly pay Ymir back? Silly.

Just big enough to eat my mom and kill thousands of people.

The boys were having a bit of issues too that needed to be worked on. Most of the boys are not from the outer walls which...I guess is surprising. Since all the adults from the outer walls were sent to die that would mean a lot of orphans right? Meaning that a lot of kids might want revenge? But it sounds like according to Eren many of them joined factories and what not. So that means Armin and especially Eren are pretty much amazing to the other boys. Well amazing and annoying. I can see how people can think that Eren is full of hot air, so full of himself when really all he wants is to avenge his mom.

However Eren can't master the most basic technique needed to be a solider. This spells trouble for him. To be fair it did look rather hard and everyone else was like dances with ropes. Like lala I do this kind of thing in my bedroom before bed. Of course I do see how it would be hard to teach someone how to master this skill. Like just do it. Get on the bike and peddle! So Eren looked stupid because everyone else was awesome at it and because of his behavior and or attitude earlier not many people wanted to help him.

That is code for I LOVE YOU DON'T DIE!

Obviously Mikasa and Armin were going to do their best and try....but Mikasa's best and my best might not be the same thing. Mikasa is only there to keep Eren alive and if he washed out that would be best for her. She is more like I don't care about your man pride, I want you to stay alive. Armin is just there to looked confused and cute I guess. And actually age appropriate. At least they tried even if all he did was knock himself unconscious.

Time to be friends yay!!!

Despite the fact that Eren was looking kinda scary with the idea of failing he still managed to make some friends. Bertholt the shy and Reiner the stoic. They were from a village that didn't get the memo that the Titans were in town until they were knocking on their doors. Obviously they saw a lot of horrible things as they have trouble remembering all that happened when the Titans came. But they are able to understand Eren a little better. Like yeah we saw some crazy shit, we know why you are so messed up. Both boys have different reasons for joining the military, one to get to the inner wall/be safe and the other to make it back to their home. Now I would argue that if a GIANT Titan can knock down one wall it can knock down the other two. I would also argue that there would be not much home to get back to. But the boys were bonding and what not so that is all that matters.

Yeah okay scary dude. I believe you.

The next day Eren...well he had an emotional roller coaster. At first he was able to stay steady and everyone was like YAY you did it! Then face on the ground again. Everyone was like oh snap how embarrassing. I think at that point people were done making fun of Eren and they genuinely felt bad for him. But then....Mr. Boot Camp Maggot man....his heart grew three times that minute. He decided that Eren's equipment was rusty and let Eren try again. I don't know if he saw something special in Eren or thought that maybe this kid could unite everyone but he allowed Eren to try again and he was able to do so, as he felt the support of everyone. Go Eren!!! You can do it!!!

I did it WOOHOO!!!

And that is about it for this episode. It ends with everyone flying in the trees basically as that is what their balance test was all about. It looks like Eren was doing much better. But these kids have a long ways to go before they can protect a paper bag, let alone people. I am sure they will do a good job as everyone but Eren is a natural. Onward to more training!
