Hiiro no Kakera episode 9

HELLO THERE!! XD Where have I been? Well apparently I have been at that place called the Twilight Zone aka work and then having a much needed chill day with friends. Broken record but work has super been kicking my butt. I have no idea what I did to deserve this craziness but I hope it stops soon. On the bright side I have found a silver lining in this drama and don’t feel quite as alone as I did before. Oh and the movie ROCKED today. If you saw Brave today and there was some crazy girl carrying around a bear plushie..well that was me. You should have waved! XD

Getting upset because the world is ending...SILLY!

So….time for anime? I must confessed that I watched this episode on Thursday…..yeah that is how much worked as drained life out of me. So time to hurry up and blog this!!! Hiiro no Kakera episode 9 (for real)! Spoilers for wishing Tamaki would just run away from the losers.

Can she just reveal that she is a potential baddie too or something?

Episode Summary: Ein, Zwei, and Drei are all taking about how they are truly working for Logos and Aria basically sucks. Drei says he is going to try and help Ein and Zwei out despite the fact he can’t leave the house. While protecting the seals Takuma and Mahiro come across a huge group of gods losing their minds. In the background the GIANT god of the mountain is also on a rampage. Takuma and Mahiro try to talk the mountain god down while battling the others. They managed to get through to the mountain god and the minor ones leave. Tamaki is busy in the storage house reading more books. She tries to summon up that weird spell again but it doesn’t work. Mitsuru catches Tamaki staying up all night reading and worries for her. Tamaki is beyond tired at school and Kiyono has to show up to make some useless comments. Tamaki goes to the roof during lunch but the only one there was Shinji. Insert sad Tamaki here. Yuuichi has decided to eat lunch with Mahiro who is still being an asshole. Takuma shows up to give Mahiro some milk. Yuuichi and Shinji go to walk Tamaki home when she senses something in the force.

Way to state the obvious.

They go to a classroom and find Drei all floating in the air. He tries to take out Tamaki when Vier reveals herself and blows her cover as the teacher. She admonishes Drei and Shinji is like OH SNAP. X__X Suguru, who showed up during the battle, helps walk them home and talks about how he suspected Vier. Shinji promises to find their hideout faster with Yuuichi looking suspicious. Tamaki goes back to the store room to find new books in her pile. One book talks over and over again how the seal weakens and yet one person was able to turn that around. Another book then talks about how the Princess was able to help the Guardians gain their true powers. Tamaki figures that if she becomes the true princess the Guardians can defeat Logos. She runs to tell the others when she runs into Masataka. He tries to tell Tamaki that they are all lying to her, that she needs to join him and he will tell her the truth. Takuma and Mahiro show up to protect Tamaki. Before anything can be explained Tamaki gets a headache and they realize a seal is being messed with. Tamaki tries to tell the guys that she needs to become the real princess for their powers to work but they are too busy being stupid guys to listen. All the guardians and Tamaki gather to watch Ein and Zwei KILL the god of the mountain. Tamaki orders her people not to attack and they watch as another artifact is stolen. The boys vow that next time they will win no matter what. THE END!

Maybe next time you can actually fight?

Before I talk about this amazing episode let me apologize again for posting the wrong episode number for the last post. What is wrong with me?! Of course…Mahiro was an asshole in this episode too so at least the title still worked? But I apologize for making this mistake. Crazy blogger indeed.

Maybe next time he can try and kill Tamaki in her sleep? Just saying.

That being said…not too much happened in this episode. Very slowly the plot is taking place. Like a snail’s pace. That might be too generous though. Is anything slower than a snail? Maybe that is an unfair assessment. Maybe I have just assumed or figured things out so to speak so watching Tamaki figure them out at a much slower pace is putting me to sleep. More than usual of course.

Hey mountain god. Can you tell Tamaki what the heck is going on please?

I wonder who put those books in an obvious spot for Tamaki to find them. My guess would be Mitsuru or Masataka. Perhaps Mitsuru feels bad for Tamaki and wants to give her a heads up on what is to come. I do think that Mitsuru has more loyalty to Shinji but maybe protecting Tamaki will protect her man. But it could have been Masataka who already knows the truth and wants to get Tamaki on his side much faster. So what is this truth? That the Potato Princess will have to die to restore order.

You is probably going to die. Or are meant to die rather.

Now this could explain why Granny has not been forthcoming with the information. Probably doesn’t look forward to seeing her granddaughter die. Now…this might be avoided if she trained Tamaki right. Maybe they won’t have a chance against Logos even if Tamaki got stronger but they could at least try. So…I don’t know. It is stupid not to tell Tamaki anything and expect her to figure this out on her own. Maybe Granny is worried if she tells Tamaki some parts she will find out about the dying bit and be less inclined to go through with things.

Explain how you are going to become stronger?

PSHT! What am I talking about?! Tamaki is certainly the kind of person who would die for others, especially the world. And all her new friends that love her so much. There is really no reason why to keep Tamaki in the dark. She was going to have to take over for Granny once she croaks. Whether or not Tamaki has to die to fulfill this role it has to happen. Of course if Tamaki does die what happens then…that is not the point though! Tamaki spent a great deal of this episode researching information that should have been told to her. Everyone is trying to save the world right? So instead of making her research and possibly find things that you are trying to keep hidden from her….help her become the Princess! How can she get stronger when she doesn’t even know what her powers are?!

I will only imply things and not outright explain things. Then I will dramatically eat a chip!

I must say though…whoever left that book for Tamaki to find…probably should have found a better one. Saying the same thing over and over again probably didn’t help out that much. Tamaki obviously missed the point. Maybe her dreams will be a bit more direct with what really happens to the Potato Princess. Or Masataka will learn to talk faster. XD

MOG! Are you still pouting?!

So while Tamaki is still on this path of learning and blaming herself for not knowing things that she couldn’t possibly known Mahiro continued to be an asshole. Not only is he suffering from man pride but he also has a case of short man’s syndrome. He is trying to compensate for his small stature by being loud and aggressive but that just exemplifies what a small person he is in every sense of the word. And what was up with Mahiro version of the storage room story? Tamaki made him feel bad? Oh okay guess I imagined him pushing her against the wall and such.

Is this a Disney movie? Believe and you can achieve?!

Of course I was more disappointed that Yuuichi was not at the lunch spot. Takuma and Mahiro are busy being assholes but Yuuichi?! I thought he was on Tamaki’s side. And even if that was not the case shouldn’t be busy keeping an eye on Shinji? Disappointed in all of that Yuuichi!

Someone needs to "help" Shinji find the hideout.

Speaking of Shinji….same old same old. Thought he was going to crap Drei showed up at the school. Yuuichi keeps on staring at him when he talks about finding Logos’ lair. Shouldn’t EVERYONE being looking for the hideout even if Shinji wasn’t acting suspicious? Like you won’t have to guard the artifacts if you find where the enemy is and can track their movements. So….yeah. Stupid. But Shinji needs to work on being sneaky.

Aria doesn’t seem to have much control of her people. That is probably because they really aren’t her people and she is a figure head. The men of Logos basically said as much. But Aria is still acting like a weird….”baddie”. Or a person with an agenda. Just take all the artifacts and go. If you want to tell Tamaki something do it all ready. Playing around with a confused person is silly.

Lamest reveal ever?

Vier revealing who she was…..dumb. I get that Drei was breaking the rules but she could have fired a warning shot from off stage and fled. Something. ANYTHING! Shinji should have been changing his underwear again but I guess he doesn’t know that Tamaki saw him with Vier. Hopefully she puts it together soon…something so OBVIOUS!

Oh I forgot about you ugly things....

I really feel nothing for the lost gods/mountain god moment. Like…I thought that was going to be a big chunk of the show but they (all the gods in general) were only briefly focused on in episode 1 and 2. Then they were tossed aside so fast. I just feel very disconnect to that part of the plot. Maybe the Guardians feel closer to these lost gods or whatever they are (I forgot mostly…) as they consider themselves nonhumans but I am just not getting enough information to care. That and have the Guardian’s powers really been explained yet? Nopers.

And are Logos supposed to be that strong? I was under the impression that the mountain god was a big deal but then he was taken out in a few hits. A bit lame if you ask me. 

In the end the guys decide that next time they won’t be defeated. Next time! Well you are running out of artifacts to protect. I was just amused that the guys were so…we will get them next time serious face!!!!! Because they didn’t do anything THIS time. Tamaki ordered them not to but they were acting like they tried this time around. I don’t know…pretty ridiculous. Still hoping that Mahiro dies. XD Until next time….
