Maria†Holic Final Episode FINALLY!

Oh Dear Lord. Finally. Thank you for finally ending this awful series. I am not sure WHO I am thanking but thank you. My eyes and brain are very grateful.

The end of this series WOOHOO!

Of course if I was really that unhappy with the show I could have stopped watching it a long time ago. Apparently I didn't get the memo that you don't have to watch every single episode of a series if it bores you to tears or it makes you want to rip your hair out.

Part of me thought maybe the series would get interesting, that I wasn't giving it a fair chance. But another part of me just wanted to finish what I started. I wanted to give people a very honest opinion of this show. Most of the time people about a show when they really love it. With this show I wanted to make sure people knew it wasn't rainbows and cupcakes.

Not that ANY of that matters as I have hardly seen anyone regularly blogging this series. Maybe everyone did realize it sucked and gave up a long time ago. I am special that way. XD But here it is anyway, my final impressions of this special show.

WTF Death Note time?

Episode 12 Summary:
Boobies.

And lots of them.

Oh, that sounds a little familiar. This awesome series wouldn’t just focus on one part of the human anatomy right?! RIGHT?!

What do you mean this series is shallow?!

Swimsuits and boobies.

FOR THE WIN! Right boys?

FINE! I will try to write a real summary. Kanako is updating her mother on her life. A lot has happened in the 3 months since she entered this school and it almost sounds like she has changed. But she hasn’t. She really is just looking forward to summer and the chance to see everyone in a swimsuit. She then experiences the perfect opening day at the pool. Everyone gets to wear whatever skanky bathing suit they want, their swim coach is beyond hot, and Kanako has a nose bleed due to all the lovely boobies. The hot swim coach molests her breasts a little bit as she has to do CPR. Suddenly everyone in the entire series is lining up to give Kanako CPR and Kanako smirks to herself. So does Maria as he informs Kanako this has all been a dream. The events leading up to her dream were real..or just the part where she ate so much raw liver (to help stop nose bleeds) she got sick and was passed out for 10 days or something. Kanako is not pleased with the news.

Because this totally happened.

Father Kanae is walking around campus worried about Kanako. It has been days since her liver poisoning and he is worrying about WHY she would do such a thing! Kanako has slightly recovered and is awaiting the moment where she can go to the pool. Father Kanae arrives at her dorm room with a melon in hand. Insert the most stupid conversation in the world. Kanako would mumble a stupid word when touched and Father Kanae would try to figure out what the heck she means. Matsurika and Maria watch on either amused or find them rather pathetic. In the end Kanako breaks out in hives and can’t go to the pool the next day either.

Melons....yes I caught on to that.

Kanako tries to regain her high spirits as she has recovered from her hives. But then she starts finding food products all in her stuff again but the original gang claims they only focus on marine products. These are clearly land products. And this matters for some reason. In any event Kanako tries to look on the bright side of life and eat these wonderful foods. Only she overeats and is unable to go swimming the next day.

Hurry! Time is running out!

In the next stupid scenario Kanako decides that she needs to guard her stomach from such attacks. She is going to visit dorm school god and ask her to make her some more calming foods. However dorm room god has decided that now is the time to go down memory lane. She is looking at an old swimsuit and gets a weird look on her face. Kanako picks that moment to walk in…and dorm room god decides to punish Kanako for finding out her secret and Kanako goes missing. She misses swimming the next day.

What exactly happened? Did I miss something?

Kanako steps up her game plan and does everything perfectly. She is ready for ANYTHING…and then it rains. Parts of Kanako dies inside. Kanako thinks she has missed her chance to see all the lovelies in their swimsuits but there is a swim meet to come. Kanako goes to bed happy. Maria is upset at that happiness so he orders Matsurika to use her mind altering technique on Kanako. Now Kanako desires loin clothes and not swimsuits. Kanako is upset that she is unable to enjoy all the school swimsuits around her. Father Kanae comes up and decides that Kanako desires to see him in a red loin cloth. It makes sense in his scary head. Kanako decides this is ALL Maria’s fault and she will expose Maria who is wearing a set of fake boobies. They are playing a game of chicken (or at least I think that is what it is still called) and Kanako goes INSANE to expose the boobies. But it turns out Maria’s twin sister is actually the one in the pool and her real boobies get shown to the world. Maria laughs in the shadows and Kanako’s nose bleed covers the entire world. Kanako wakes up to Shizu looking out for her. Suddenly Shizu notices Kanako’s pendant…AND THE END!

Boring cliffhanger is BORING!

MMMM the final episode didn’t disappointment me. I was actually hoping the last episode was going to suck so I could go I WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG in my post. And I got my wish. Yay me.

I live to not be disappointed.

I understand that Kanako is a stupid pervert. I think everyone watching this stupid series realized that. So what was the last episode about? Boobies. How classy. This show wasn’t smart enough to make Kanako a different kind of pervert. No, instead of being sly about her obsession let’s just do the obvious. And that of course is to focus on boobies. Boobies are easy and fun for everyone!

And boobies she got!

Even though I already hate these kinds of fan service episodes this one was really done in poor taste and low brow type of humor. Kanako hasn’t gotten a clue yet in 12 episodes…go her.

Me thinks momma in heaven is not very impressed.

Watching her suffer was fun though. Only because I hate her and wish ill on all she ever does. The scenarios that she found herself in her over the top and kind of stupid but I like the premise behind Kanako being miserable. YAY FOR TEARS!

RAIN MORE!

Maria once again was awesome in this episode. He is the voice of morality in this series despite him…you know, breaking a major rule. His disgust is the same as in every other episode so nothing really new to report here. It was just awesome watching Kanako try some last ditch effort to expose Maria and Kanako failing hard.

Me thinks that Kanako shouldn't have been born at all but oh well...

Nanami, Sachi, And Inamori kept asking where Kanako is and quite frankly I am not sure why they even care. She hasn’t been a very good friend to any of these people and when she is around them she is a freak. If I knew someone who was constantly having nose bleeds and checking out my boobies…I would steer clear of them at all costs. You would think they would be fed up with her perverted ways but they must like pain…like me.

Just be happy...be happy and dance free.

Father Kanae was once again very special in this episode. I do not understand even 10 percent of his references so it is hard to find them funny and not stupid. But if Kanako stopped hating men for 10 minutes she could hook up with him and make some nice special babies. In loin clothes of course.

So what is there to say about this series? I actually had a list of things I wanted to talk about…but then I realized I truly didn’t care and I rather get this post over and done with now that more interesting series are starting up. I guess I will cover a few basics.

That totally happened.

Kanako is a dirty pervert. She was not a lesbian. She doesn’t understand what it is like to love another human being. She just thinks since boys give her hives she HAS to like girls. Because they are soft and boobies are fun. But what then? What after the initial naked moment? What are you going to do with a relationship based on just looks?

WTF is with all these ugly faces?!

Those questions are never answered. Kanako NEVER has any character growth. If anything she gets worse. She accepts her perverted ways and blames Maria for yelling and poking fun at her. She never learns that being in a relationship is more than panties and a pretty face. If she mended her perverted ways and actually saw women as real human beings I would be okay with it. But since she is just disgusting I refuse to see her as a lesbian. Just your run of the mill psychopath.

Please just die. XD Thanks.

Maria was one of the most interesting characters in this series. At times he was a little cruel but Kanako deserves what Maria dished out. I was hoping that Maria’s secret was exposed in the end and we could see sexy man Maria. But it was just as satisfy to see Maria get Kanako one last time. Keep on doing what you’re doing Maria but know that Kanako is never going to change.

I approve of partners in crime.

All the other characters were mostly around to be eye candy for Kanako. They were never explained too deeply and their problems were very childish and over dramatic. None of these people should have bothered with Kanako at all. I was going to say I wished there was more Ryuuken…but maybe it was good she stayed away from this hot mess.

I feel bad for those women.

The art style sucked. I said it 1000 times. There were way too many elements and it made the series look extremely lazy. It was hard to follow and at times pointless. I am not sure how I can expand on this point anymore.

What do you mean the art styles suck?!

So in conclusion, this series was a waste of my time and probably a lot of other people’s. Yes I did have moments where I did laugh, but not enough to counter the amount of times I rolled my eyes or YAWNED from boredom. I am sure many fan boys loved this show and the amount of girl on girl action (or dreamed action) and didn’t care that the substance in this show was severely lacking. Then let the fan boys have this show. I for one am glad they are done and won’t even bitch about how the ending was so open ended…there should be a second season. Because there shouldn’t. The end. WOOT!

New Weekly Anime March 23rd-29th

Another full week of interesting anime. After this week I am not sure if I will have such a long weekly anime section as most of these shows are wrapping up and I will be picking new shows to love (or hate).

So this is a slightly bitter sweet anime. A lot of these shows I have been watching for months and it is all about to end. The good and that bad....tis sad when things you watch every single week ends.

Be brave and hold back those tears....

Skip Beat Episode 24

Ren hates roaches. And giant chickens.

Ren is depressed in his luscious apartment as he drinks and watches the original Dark Moon. He thinks back to how he failed on set and how Lory warned him not to take this part. Yashiro tries to get a hold of Ren but can only leave an angry message into about not being late to his other job. On set Ogata is talking with Kyoko with how he feels like a useless failure and is the worst director on the face of the planet. Insert Ogata having a massive Kyoko cry attack. Between mental breakdowns Ogata talks about how he told Ren to leave the set and gather himself while he finds his inner character. Ogata is worried about how long they can film other scenes and not use one of the two main characters. Then he goes back to crying for not being to inspire Ren and failing at life. Kyoko tries to tell Ogata that she also thinks Ren needed a break and that it devastated her watching Ren falter. But Kyoko is depressed for a different reason. She wants to be able to help Ren as a fellow actress…but feels since she new to the business it’s not her place to give his advice.

Drowning in a sea of melodramatics.

At the other agency Sho has finished up his music video (or at least part of it). He seems in high spirits as he bothers his mangers and acts like a kid. She is worried or at least suspicious of his behavior as she thought he would react pretty badly to finding out Kyoko and Ren were staring in show together. But as soon as she leaves the room…Sho loses his mind. He tosses around a table as he thinks of Kyoko making Ren a romantic lunch. He tries to convince himself that he is not jealous because he deserves to have the top girl out there…but images of Kyoko and Ren fill his mind. His screams scares random people in the hallway.

Kyoko finishes her job up as Bo the chicken and is returning her costume. She finds Ren in the hallway and panics away. She stops when she realizes that Ren often opens up better to Bo than other people. Ren is thinking about how he was talked to by Ogata and how he is unable to portray a love scene when Bo appears. On set Lory has surprised the crew with an elaborate party. Problem is…they are still working. Lory forces Ogata to tell him where Ren is…and tries to not to do the I told you so dance. Lory tells Ogata to give Ren a few more days….then cut him loose. Ogata thinks that’s a little harsh but Lory says Ogata has to obtain his own goals of surpassing his father and to do so sometimes people have to be cut. After having begged Ren for the truth and accidentally not listening to what he was saying, Kyoko finally learns that Ren has never been in love. His lack of love in his life is finally affecting him as an actor and Kyoko panics. She has no idea how to fix this kind of problem as it stems from something she can’t help (it also doesn’t help she keeps driving home the point that Ren should have experienced love at his age…) Ren begins to spill his guts about more personal issues but becomes upset when Kyoko starts squashing the Sho roach in her life instead of listening to him. Ren gets so mad he starts pulling at Bo’s head..and rips the hat off. Kyoko is all dramatic about the situation…but then Ren starts to laugh. Kyoko is happy that Ren is in a better mood but is sad she can’t help him out with his problems. Ren starts talking about how there should be a book on love so it can be explained to him. Kyoko tries to ask Ren if he has ever felt anything small, a tiny spark that maybe was love. She lists several things that could mean you are in love and asks if they apply. Ren is in shock as he thinks of Kyoko and how she makes him feel. Kyoko takes his shocked expression as a victory not knowing..she is Ren’s love interest.

Must find love!

It’s hard to believe there is only one more episode left! But before I get too sad about the impending end of this series I shall focus on this special episode.

It's not time to party!!!!

I will start with Sho because….watching him suffer is always fun. I know I said that with Ren too…but I do feel bad for Ren at times. I never feel bad for Sho. Sho gets everything he deserves and then some. Even if he is hit by a bus and his entire personality changes I would want him to suffer.

She rather have someone awesome ANYWAY!

And also the fact that he STILL doesn’t get it. He tries to make himself feel better by thinking he is above Kyoko (as seen in his imagination that Kyoko is only worthy to be a janitor). He is too full of himself to admit his feelings so he puts down Kyoko instead and I hate him for that. His guilty is eating away at him…but not fast enough. So keep on throwing chairs Sho. Suffer and become a bigger loser than you already are.

Suffer and DIE!

Ogata needs to be careful. I am already mad that people are trying to take Touma’s epic speeches but now people are trying to take Kyoko awesome melt downs? I DO NOT THINK SO! Only Kyoko can freak and be that over the top. NO ONE ELSE! And that means you little director. And one would argue that Ren feeling like a loser would give him the only spaz pass. You are not suffering as much as he is by merely WATCHING him fail. So you suck in those tears and take off that frog costume. YOU ARE NOT KYOKO!

*sigh* Ren Ren Ren….you almost were over dramatic when I saw you with your booze and the DVDs sprawled out all over the floor. It would have been better if the DVD’s had been beers…but I guess I shouldn’t pick on you SO much. You are going through a rough time and you are trying to improve your acting skills.

Must drown problems....

HOWEVER…just because you haven’t been in love doesn’t mean you can’t pretend to be in love. Because…I am sure you are not half the things you paid to portrayed. That is what being an actor IS! Of course this show is all about drawing in personal experiences and not imagining how the character would feel. So in terms of the show…I guess Ran needs to know what love is to portray is. It is not flying in real life though.

Figure out your life before more people suffer!

:( Poor Kyoko. She feels trapped in society’s view of seniority. Kyoko can’t approach Ren with this problem because she is NEW to the business…and that she is younger than him. Kyoko has been raised with old fashion beliefs to begin with…so she is really stuck on what to do! But it is really sweet to see her care so much.

And then she loses her hat!

BO TO THE RESCUE! Anytime Ren has a problem he automatically goes to that seat. Because he is waiting for Bo to make him feel better (or that is what I am going to pretend anyway). I am not sure WHY Ren would open up to an giant chicken but…he is human and he doesn’t want to feel vulnerable. Maybe it is easier to tell your problems when you can pretend the person is anyone in the world and you can’t see their reactions.

Ren always means serious business.

But yes…yes to the irony of the entire situation! Kyoko telling Ren to think of the one person who gives him the warm and fuzzy feelings and Ren realizing it is Kyoko. Kyoko is advising Ren to fall in love with herself! Ren is taking advice from Kyoko that in fact is in love with Kyoko! No matter how you spin the situation…it is amazing. I can’t wait for the day when Ren and Kyoko look back at this situation and enter extreme blushy land. Oh…that was the best part of the entire episode!

Oh...oh the irony...

:( With only one episode left I am pretty sad…and concerned. I don’t know how they are going to wrap up Ren’s problem and have a happy resolution for this SEASON! Because we can’t just leave it hanging (in case there isn’t a second season for a while). It seems like a lot of material to cover just in Ren’s situation alone…let alone making sure Kyoko is happy and dancing. CAN THEY DO IT?! Find out next time on the conclusion to DRAG…err SKIP BEAT!

KuroShitsuji - Episode 23

KuroShitsuji: The series that is on the up and up.

Tanaka is writing a log of what has happened to the house. He explains that has always been his job and the only thing he can do…as he walks through the burnt down mansion. Ceil has become a stowaway on a ship heading towards London. While hiding from of the crew he runs into the Undertaker randomly. The Undertaker is AWESOME and gives Ceil dog food to eat. The Undertaker is a little upset as there will be tons of souls available tonight and they are short staffed. Ceil runs up to the deck and sees London is on FIRE. Everyone is freaking out and the Undertaker decides to inform Ceil that he is going to die soon. More awesome news. Ceil thinks about his situation as everyone watches London burn. Grell is walking around the wreckage and generally being creepy. The Queen isn’t feeling very well and shows Asch how she is falling apart. X_X Like her husband’s body she is using is ROTTING and it is disgusting. She refuses to let Asch heal her so she can molest her husband’s body still. Asch decides that THAT disgusts him and flies away thinking about how stupid humans are. The Queen starts singing as her skin falls off her body.

Ceil is pissed that the boat he is on is turning away from London. He confronts a crewman (possibly the Captain) and orders him to turn around. When that is laughed at Ceil tells him to at least give him a small boat to make it to another ship (a trash ship of course). The Captain laughs at Ceil again. Ceil decides it is time to through his pride away and figure out what is important. He then gives over his family ring in exchange for a ride…on the trash ship. Ceil rides the fail trip and makes it to London…which is on fire. People are beating up French men because France is being blamed for this arson. Ceil thinks back to Lau’s words and how the Queen wanted to start a war. He runs though the chaos and destruction while Asch and Sebastian watch. Ceil runs into Meirin who tells him the mansion has been burnt down and Pluto is the cause of all this fiery blaze. Meirin takes him to Finny and Bard who are trying to stun Pluto down. Ash laughs at Ceil’s situation and decides to make Sebastian his husband while ruling over the new world. He then unbuttons his shirt to reveal he has boobies and is in fact Angela. Sebastian decides he is just going to watch Ceil and react on his decisions.

Poor Ceil, sealing his own fate.

Ceil decides…that Pluto is dead. Or the good part of Pluto is dead and the humane thing to do would be to kill Pluto. All the servants cry but decide that Pluto must be stopped and their friend is gone. Ceil decides to that is going to run off because he is in danger of dying. This apparently is a good sign to Sebastian and he leaves Asch to be all glary on the building. Ceil rides to the palace and demands to see the Queen. But since time has decided to stand still…no one stops him and he walks right in. He makes it to the Queen’s room…but her body has rotten and she is toast. Time unfreezes and Ceil is accused of killing the Queen. He tries to run away but gets surrounded. He then tries to throw his name around and states that he won’t be stopped here. Then he gets shot in the side. Ceil gets pissed and decides that his soul can’t be lost this way. He falls to the ground and his blood forms the symbol in his eye. He has a flashback about his contract with Sebastian and calls him out. The guards then try to pump Ceil full of bullets. But Sebastian catches them all and kills all but one of the guards. Sebastian then becomes creepy as he talks about the last dinner aka Ceil’s soul. Ceil ignores the creepy and orders Sebastian to take him to Asch. THE END!

My eyes…can’t unsee what they have seen! And I didn’t even see all of it! X_X So I guess I should be grateful that I don’t have to use an entire bottle of eye bleach.

Now what event am I talking about? Because if you have viewed this episode there was one definite MOG gross moment and there was another that might border on WTF instead of all out grossness.

But I find it gross. I am talking about Asch actually being Angela and him showing off his boobies to Sebastian (who wasn’t very impressed at all XD). Seriously…I think I threw up a little in my mouth. It was supposed to be a great MOG did that really just happen moment but I was too queasy to appreciate the twist. A twist I probably should have seen a mile away. Honestly what was I thinking…TWINS! I am so used to the typical anime twists I didn’t even think that two people who look EXACTLY A LIKE are the same person.

M O G!!!!

And Pluto was my huge clue. Really…just really Tenchi. Pluto was happy to see Angela, not her brother Asch. I fail so hard. So very hard. But that doesn’t take away the fact that when AschAngela was stripping a piece of me wanted to die inside….or kill the writers for doing this to me, to ALL of us! Oh God, now I have the image of Angela in her S&M outfit! MY EYES!!!

HOW DARE YOU NOT KNOW IT WAS ME!

Moving on to the actual gross part of the episode. The Queen falling apart…when Asch touched her skin and it moved like PUDDING oh my God. Just really. It was so gross I couldn’t stop watching it. Sorta like all the death scenes in the SAW movies. I was so grossed out I didn’t even connect the fact she has her husband body…or at least parts of it. Now I am going to wonder what specific parts and buy more brain bleach while I am at it.

I was expecting more blood....

There were parts of the show that didn’t make me want to barf. :( Like the sad impending death of Ceil. Part of me wants the Undertaker to just be scaring Ceil or picking on him but I doubt that is the case. Ceil is probably going to go splat in the next episode and Sebastian’s menacing smile and the bleeding abdomen wound just cements Ceil’s last days.

Aw crap :(

And it hits the fan...

But at least he is going out fighting. Or being a great big pain in the butt. I am glad he got rid of that ring. I know that ring meant a lot to him but I hope he realizes now that his family name has caused him a lot of grief. So maybe it is a little harsh but I think giving up that painful part of his past might be a positive thing. That and if he is going to die like in the next day what good is it going to do him? And add to the fact that it is cursed so that dude will get what’s coming from him for not helping out a cute little kid!

Blood should not do that...

Sebastian is still…Sebastian. I have almost given up hope that he is a really nice guy under that creepy exterior. The way he was going ON AND ON about Ceil being his dinner hurt my soul (but not as much as Ceil’s). I am not quite sure WHY Sebastian left in the first place. Ceil did not give him an order to leave him. Sebastian didn’t follow Ceil’s contract because he is all mad that Ceil was getting over his need for revenge.

You should be sorry for falling in love with a Ceil killer.

As long as Sebastian’s reasoning is explained I might forgive him. Or I am just slow and his reasoning is obvious. I am also inclined to feel sorry for Sebastian as he has been hit on by some pretty nasty characters and AngelaAsch tops it ALL! There might be a reason he is so twisted.

Missing his Sebastian.

I am not quite sure why the former stupid trio was trying to SAVE Pluto. I mean, I can see the sentimental attachment a member of your “family”…but said family member burned down your house, most of London, and has killed countless people. I think it is safe to say your special family member is gone and you have permission to take them out. No more safety bullets kids!

Thank you for taking control tiny 12 year old.

The episode ends with a bleeding Ceil and Sebastian agreeing to fulfill his last order. Personally if I were Ceil I would just order Sebastian to kill AngelaAsch and find myself a backdoor doctor but that’s just me. But the final battle better be epic, none of this knives and plates crap. Sebastian will win against someone he SEEMS TO KNOW (which makes you worry) and Ceil will die. But Ceil will die with a pure heart and Sebastian will be okay with that. YAY FOR DREAMS!

Chrome Shelled Regios - Episode 11

Felli's best vacation EVER!

Felli is not happy SHOCKER! Karian “fainted” at work and he was told to take it easy for the next few days. Karian decides that means he and Felli will go to a resort YAY! But not really as Felli glares as Karian is surrounded by girls despite him looking like WHERE IS WALDO. Felli kicks him and goes to pout in the corner. She then sees Nina on the diving board….and Layfon and Harley cheering her on….and Sharnid wearing the world’s scariest banana hammock. Layfon says hello to Felli which triggers Karian’s spider senses. Felli questions why everyone is at the spa and they say for team bonding. So…then why wasn’t I invited? Karian prances over and announces that Felli can’t swim. Nina magically announces she shall teach her! Felli does not want to swim without her floaty and decides the whole lesson is stupid. Nina says it is very important because they might have a battle underwater! Layfon is minding his own business but he is being stalker by Meishen and her friends. Her two friends decide that Layfon will teach Meishen how to swim and they throw her in the pool. Felli witnesses this obvious love scene and decides she will learn to swim too. Felli tries to take this swimming thing very serious to show Meishen up AH! Nina gets very distracted while watching Meishen practice with Layfon and she nearly drowns Felli. Nina tries to apologize at dinner but Felli is more focused on punishing Layfon for not having a clue. The girls go to take a dip in the bath while the ENGRISH RETURNS! In case people have forgotten…they are still being chased by cars. Only this week someone goes Cloverfield on the bridge and the cars have to stop. THEN we see the boys being sad that their TV program has been interrupted.

One of these things don't belong....

Felli is admiring Nina’s boobies….err her awesome and useless energy so Nina has to change the subject about learning how to swim. As if Nina is hiding something. MMMMMM. Later that night, when Felli is thinking about how her life sucks, she thinks she hears/sees everyone in the hall talking about her. She decides she does not want to learn to swim anymore…until Layfon is volunteered. She suddenly has interest once again and Meishen can SUCK IT! Nina is all jealous and Felli pretends she isn’t learning so she can keep on holding Layfon’s amazing hands. Karian witnesses this PG 13 hand holding and is not pleased. Layfon is tricked into going to an underground area so Karian can unleash his crazy brotherly love of doom. Elsewhere the girls are going to take a bath. Or they were when some really BAD BAD MEN come in and take them hostage. Really bad men. And they can’t do anything because their weapons are behind the counter. Because Nina can’t beat up anyone with her bare hands. Felli decides to use her powers to locate their weapons (BEHIND THE COUNTER) but she glows all purply and sets the bad men off. But none of that matters as Nina gets the weapons and together with Sharnid they take out the three useless men. It is then revealed that Felli has a condition where she loses control of her powers and glows purple. So the 17th platoon was told to help Felli out with her condition. But not Layfon. Because he is way too awesome to do something like that. But where IS Layfon…and Karian. Felli interrupts Karian’s drilling session and unleashes the power of her mighty foot.

Random storyline is random.

Fan service episode. My least favorite kind of episode. Most series has a least one of these kinds of episodes like they are contractionary obligated to show massive amounts of boobies. Or at least the figurine company hopes they do so they can profit off it. But since this series is good or at least entertaining I will forgive Chrome Shelled Regios for giving us a filler full of breasts and butts.

Or at least most of the characters had huge and probably very painful boobies. But not Felli. No, Felli is our resident 17 year old girl trapped in the body of a 12 year old. And when I say 12 I am being rather generous. I think shows like this should do a better job of showing different body types and not have 90 percent of the female cast be huge chested girls and have the rest feel lame and unloved. And in this series Felli is about the only one in that “lame and unloved” category.

I just wish that Felli would take her aggressions out on the right people. Poor Layfon and his shins. He is constantly being kicked for being a clueless guy. He is probably never going to get why she is so angry so she might as well focus on the real issue: Slutty skanks named Meishen.

Yeah, I called her a skank. Meishen has no redeeming qualities AT ALL. At least Shirley from Code Geass TRIED to be big and brave at some point. Relena (my sworn enemy) had great public speaking skills. Meishen can’t even put a sentence together. She just sits there and mumbles like a crack whore whose pimp is holding out on her. And she did NOT look cute smiling like a stupid when Layfon was teaching her how to swim. Felli looked cute. Meishen just looked pathetic. She can only marginally become acceptable if she throws herself in front of a bug monster meant for Layfon. Then I will be slightly happy.

Random Engrish scene was very random. I love how it only lasts a minute at most. And now the characters are treating it like a TV program. Next week we will have creepy guy looking at the monster who destroyed the bridge and the week after that we will get a close up of the monster. By the end of this series we will have a total of 15 minutes of this Engrish crap.

Nina was just weird in this episode. I guess because I wasn’t really grasping the point of them being at the spa. I really thought it was one of those SURPRISE it’s your birthday episodes. But no…Felli glows purple when she has too much power in her tiny boobless body. I am not sure if they were supposed to make her tired or happy or what. I just know that she is probably more ticked off than before she got there and that will probably make her glow purple even more. Nina rocks at keeping secrets yay!

Poor Layfon. Between getting kicked from crazy child woman, overwhelmed by whore bag Meishen, and Karian giving him the third degree…this vacation was a trip from hell. But I am also sure it was one of the most relaxing moments in his life which is sad and scary. I think Layfon should just resolve himself to always having a crazy life.

I couldn’t decide whose outfit was worse. But it is safe to say both Karian and Sharnid are very confident in their overall sex appeal to wear such….unflattering clothes. But I used up all my eiye bleach earlier in the week so they get off easy this way. But next time…

Tales of the Abyss - Episode 24

This does not count as bringing back Ion.

Both countries are attacking Eldrant (that big floating castle in the sky) and are not winning. The City of Darkness has laser beams and they are random and green so they win. Emperor Hottie is explaining to our heroes and reminder this blogger that since the Planet Storm is gone Eldrant is less protected. But still a pain in the butt with the green lasers. But Emperor Hottie and the other kingdom have a BRILLIANT and complicated plan: they will….distract and force the Eldrant to fire on THEM allowing our heroes to sneak around and land. SURELY IT SHALL WORK! Our heroes are told to take it easy until the plan goes into affect AKA get your crap together and finish making crappy goodbyes. The crew goes to visit the newest Ion clone who is playing with Emperor Hottie’s piggies. Anise has named him Florian and everyone declares that a marvelous name for a replica! Yes a REPLICA! Everyone has to mention it 14 times that Florian is Ion’s clone. It’s to make him feel part of the group. Anise has decided she will entrust Florian to her parents because her parents are not part of the problem that got Ion killed AT ALL! Everyone decides to take a walk and talk about Ion being a replica.

Luke gets a massive headache of doom and Asch comes walking up. Everyone tries to be happy and tell him about their plans. Luke tries to give Asch the jewely thing so Asch can release Loreli. Because Luke is a replica and replica’s are not worthy of such a task that will probably kill them. Asch gets pissed off FOR NO REASON and starts calling Luke a loser. He then tells Luke that he (Luke) needs to stand up for himself and act like a winner. Because that is what I want to do when people are telling me I am stupid all day long. Luke gives a speech that doesn’t make any sense but it ends with Asch leaving all pissy and Luke pretending to be brave. Everyone feels bad for Luke because Asch is a big fat meanie poo. Tear goes to the chapel and talks to Ion about how she is so grateful that he saved her and all that jazz. She starts singing her hymen again and thinks back to how Van taught her this song. He warned her that she would need it one day and no doubt she finds that ironic. Ion’s voice thanks Tear for her song which startles both Tear and Luke. As they walk out of the chapel Luke’s hand starts to disappear again. Luke tries to hide this tiny secret but Tear rushes to his side and confesses she knows his awful I am going to die future. She wants him to go see Jade but Luke says that won’t change anything and he is going to poof. Luke just wants to be happy with the short time he has left, by fighting the hardest battle ever and getting his face pounded in by Asch. Elsewhere Asch is moaning about running out of time AGAIN!

Remember, this story is all about Guy.

Our heroes each go and do their own little tying up loose end things and reminding the viewers of some long forgot plots. Natalia cries on her fake Daddy’s shoulder because he loves her and he would never try to kill her. Guy talks to his dead dad and tells him he will never go back on the path of revenge. Luke goes and visits his family. Meanwhile both nations are getting their troops ready for battle. Jade makes sure that Noelle understands how dangerous and impossible this mission is. Natalia is busy boo hooing that she doesn’t know how to act around Luke and Asch because her problems are so big and massive. Guy says he is going to leave the past in the past and Natalia decides to blame her boobs for her problems. Anise goes to visit Jade at a bar. They share their dreams for the future with Jade wanting to learn more about replicas to make their lives better and how Anise thinks she is going to be the next Fon Master. Clearly she is drunk not Jade. Noelle takes Tear and Luke somewhere special so they confess their feelings and do the deed before he dies. But not really. It is mostly just Tear being in denial that Luke is going to poof and Luke pretending like he doesn’t like Tear. But the day arrives. Both kingdoms are trying to draw the fire from Eldrant but that doesn’t go to well. Eldrant decides it is going to chase Noelle instead. X_X Everyone is panicking as Noelle makes sure they don’t become splat cakes. Out of nowhere Noelle’s brother plows into Eldrant and takes out one of their laser beams. That creates a small opening to allow Noelle to sneak in. Van smirks and comments about how they have finally arrived. THE END!

Sending 7 people to fight the greatest enemy ever is always an awesome plan.

I am really going to miss this series. Hopefully the Spring season brings out a series just as special as this one…because I will miss laughing so much at outlandish story lines and all the WTF moments. Ah but there is still time for this series so I will enjoy it while I can.

Anise doubts anyone can be as special as her.

And what was the most special part of this episode? Probably the fact that Anise is taking charge of the newest Ion Florian. Does anyone remember what happened last time Anise was in charge of someone with green braids and dress like robe? Oh yeah HE DIED! He got sold out so her parents would live. And where does Anise think Florian is going to live? WITH SAID PARENTS! The logic is astounding, but not as astounding as everyone is smiling over this awesome idea. If I was in that group I
would be shunning Anise like she deserves. Run Florian RUN!

Abort the fail plan please!

The second special part of this episode is Asch. But Asch is always special so that is to be expected. I just love how he has spent most of this series telling Luke he (Luke) is a loser, not worth the fons used to make him, and that he should go dieinafire. But now, now Asch is upset because Luke does not believe in himself! He is upset that Luke doesn’t see himself as his equal. Quick we need a collar grab!

I guess I SORTA get it. Maybe. Maybe Asch is dying ( you know, the whole running out of time thing in case you have missed it) and he wants to make sure Luke will be around to step up and release Loreli or whatever he has to do. But there are better ways to motivate people. In fact one could say Asch’s way is the worse way to tell someone you believe in them. But that’s just me. And I tend to be silly.

Oh Natalia. I live to laugh at your pain. I still haven’t gotten over your earlier antics and I just think this is karma attacking you full force. That and you fail to realize that an event happening to someone else will impact you LESS than that person. So stop boo hooing about how Asch and Luke both being in your life will make things uncomfortable and blah blah. Just keep on hugging the dad that actually tried to kill you why you think of the Daddy who was only pretending to have a blood feud with you.

Life is so hard being Natalia.

Tear Tear Tear. I love you…but you are special. You are trying to be big and brave when dealing with Luke’s…tiny issue of disappearing. I understand being optimistic and all…but there is a point where you cross the line of hope and enter Never Happening Land. She could have said something brief about there is always a chance and don’t give up on life. But she went on and on how she was going to “protect” Luke forever and all will be unicorns and rainbows. Me thinks that Tear has suffered a few too many blows to the head.

Luke was alright in this episode given his current situation. He knows he is going to die and he is both happy for the time he has left but scared of the future. Of course if I was going to enjoy my last few days on Earth I would spend them doing something fun and not probably rushing to my death but that is just me. I can sorta understand his hesitate to do his confession to Tear but more so that I have not really SEEN any interaction between those two but I digress. Luke is just a special boy and special boys need a near death experience to light the fire under their butts. Or in Luke’s case…a few near death experiences.

Suck it up! Near death experiences build character.

What else happened? The way cool laser beam castle is pretty interesting. I like how it crashed on the beach while chasing the much smaller vessel. I am kinda wondering why the Generals aren’t using their powers to help the fight. But maybe they ran out of Max Ethers and are saving their big spells right before they get splatted too. MMM splat cakes.

I hope the battles can step up. This five second sword fight and one spell crap is getting old. This is supposed to be based on a game. Where was all the looking for new and more powerful spells?! I feel robbed. :( Pretty spells with half naked girls please.

Maria + Holic Episode 11

Never overdramatic EVER!

M O G! I actually enjoyed this episode. Maybe because it was so stupid it was funny. Either way……wow. I was laughing so hard and actually thought redeeming things about this show. Are pigs flying outside?

There is a new man on campus (or he is just simply introduced as he is seen during the midterms). His name is Father Kanae and he also talks to his mother in heaven. All the girls are checking out the hot man being as there is a lack of penis on campus. However Kanae shows even more Kanako traits as he falls in love at first sight (a lot). His first victim is Maria who is VERY amused with the situation. While Maria is smirking Kanae sees Kanako walking around with Maria. During the make-up midterm Kanako had a reaction to Kanae being so close to her. Kanae then has MORE Kanako moments as he misunderstands Kanako’s reaction and starts thinking beyond crazy thoughts (but only because Kanako is so weird). Kanae snaps back to the present where he takes turns being worried for Kanako, looking at his angel Maria, and falling in love with Matsurika when she makes a passing comment. Maria takes joy in the fact that he has fooled someone into thinking he is a woman and Matsurika is being randomly sarcastic. Kanae decides to kill two birds with one stone and ask Maria what is wrong with Kanako. Maria decides from some reason to tell Kanae that he reminds Kanako of her dead brother. And said dead brother died from Tchaikovsky syndrome…in B minor. When he believes this outright lie both Matsurika and Maria are amused. Kanae decides that he is going to fix the situation by hugging Kanako. She breaks out in hives and nearly dies.

Always plotting evil things. XD

Kanae wants to ask the nurse and her home room teacher what is wrong with Kanako but doesn’t want to break Maria’s trust. He decides that he will visit Kanako’s home and get answers. And by home he seems to think the dorm room. The dorm god tells him she doesn’t know much…but something happened with B minor. He freaks out and begs to visit her room. Dorm god says that is against the rules….but she wants a flat screen TV and a DVD player. After bribing her and deciding it is okay to sin to save another Kanae goes on his way. Kanako then learns of Maria’s lies to Father Kanae and freaks out. Maria also points out that it his fan club will be pissed at Kanako getting all this attention. Kanako decides she hates her life…and then Kanae is at the door. He forces himself in and is slightly sad that Maria isn’t in a nightie. Matsurika and Maria go to the corner of the room to play with shells or something while Kanae and Kanako have a whose the biggest idiot contest. They both win. But before Kanae can try to get to this AWFUL problem dorm room god comes in and tells the father to hit the road (despite her agreeing to 84 minutes or something). She throws in out in the rain while he moans about his patheticness. Ayari walks outside with an umbrella…and Kanae falls in love again. X_X The end.

I think this is the first episode that I haven’t rolled my eyes and hadn’t thought this was a big huge waste of time. Of course, it was really stupid anyway and it was hard to follow at parts. So basically it was STILL the same kind of episode. It just reached a level of stupid that was kinda funny.

Kanae was amusing. He acted like Kanako but in a less annoying way. He wasn’t PERVERTED…exactly. He was only inappropriate because he is a Priest and these are underage girls. Anywhere else his behavior would be acceptable. He actually sees people for people unlike Kanako.

I smell another mystery....

I think his insane thinking was slightly worse than Kanako’s. I mean, sometimes I can follow what the hell Kanako is talking about…but Kanae was off in crazy land. Did he actually believe that Kanako’s brother died from that made up disease? Did he really think she was talking about concentration camps? Did he really think he was the best person to help out Kanako out? I worry about his ability to lead a flock if he is that special.

Falling for Maria is dangerous business.

But he is a nice guy. Sometimes confused and naive people are acceptable. I can overlook his….slightly perverted ways because 16 is legal in Japan. Maybe not so much the Priest thing but eh. He is nice enough compared to Kanako.

Trying hard yet such a failure.

Maria…oh boy. I love him. Love him so very much. Instead of outright flirting with Kanae (which would have be mean) he acts like his normal self….and has a little fun. I am sure he wasn’t counting on Kanae believing his stupid story…but it was funny that he did. And it was funny that Maria is counting on the crazy fans to rip Kanako to shreds. Keep on being special Maria.

I want to lie just like that...

Kanako was Kanako. She actually wasn’t so perverted in this episode which shocks me to my very core…but she still annoyed me. Fly away little annoying butterfly and learn that not all men are evil.

Despite this episode being OKAY….there really isn’t a lot to say. Oh, Kanae’s little explanation on his sayings got REALLY annoying at times. Between the subtitles, how fast he was talking, the screen being so small, and the wall of text explaining what he was saying…it was too much at times. Which this series does all the time so…I should be use to it.

Why is he thinking about Maria naked?

Shugo Chara Doki Episode 76

You know you love it!

Amu starts off the day thinking about Tadase’s confession and how her life is perfect. But then she wakes up to Ikuto and goes X_X. Yoru is worried about Ikuto as he stares at the glowing violin of doom. Amu is at school the next day worrying about lying to Tadase (WTF) when he comes out of nowhere and they both enter a state of blushiness. Rima and Yaya catch on to the fact that something is up and try to interrogate Amu. Tadase has to ruin the fun by announcing Nagihiko has news. Nagihiko claims that last night he heard a strange noise and found several people in the dark with their dreams stolen. Tadase decides that EASTER must be up to something and everyone must be on high alert. Amu and Tadase walk home together and Amu promises she will protect everyone from EASTER. Tadase then says he is going to protect her cause..you know he loves her. They go to the park where they hear the noise (a ping of some sort). Amu wants to investigate after she learns it is a violin sound so she can prove it is not Ikuto. But Tadase decides they are 5 years old and have to be home after dark. Amu walks home with Tadase, deep in thought about Tadase and Ikuto’s past. When she arrives home she questions if Ikuto has left her house since arriving this time. He states that he hasn’t and goes back to sleep on her bed.

Protect indeed...

The director of EASTER is talking to the president about how the tuning fork of doom will trigger Ikuto to act like a puppet and suck out eggs. Cue tuning fork activating Ikuto and Amu sleeping through the huge purple light and Ikuto sneaking out of the house. Tadase makes it to the park and screams AH HA it was you Ikuto. Ikuto looks stoned out of his mind as he is character changed into something different (but still has cat ears) and plays his violin. Tadase demands that Ikuto stops and gets a little pissy when Ikuto doesn’t respond to him. Ikuto transforms his violin into a scythe while Yoru cowers in the corner. Tadase continues to scream that no one is listening to him while Ikuto tries to cut off his head. Then Amu wakes up in her head refreshed and happy. She notes that Ikuto has a cut on his arm and wonders how he got it. She is all songs and dances when she sees Tadase walking to school but he is not in high spirits. She notes that he has bruises on his body too. Yoru decides that he needs to tell Amu’s Charas about what is going on with Ikuto and travels to the school. Tadase announces that he knows that Ikuto is behind the egg snatching and he is pissy about it. Amu is a little worried since Ikuto is at her house and she thinks Ikuto is just a victim (or knows it after Utau’s confession). She asks Tadase why he and Ikuto have such a bad past and things get REALLY quiet. Yaya decides to break the tension by telling everyone to plant flowers. Some of the Charas think planting flowers are stupid and rather find Ikuto instead.

Or everyone can pick on Yoru instead.

Amu is planting flowers and being sad when Nagihiko comes up. Amu asks to Nagihiko pretend to be Nadeshiko so she can talk about her problems. Nagihiko is a little x_X but does so at Amu’s request. Amu does not realize that…yeah, that really is Nadeshiko but only talks about having a friend and keeping a secret from them (because apparently Nagihiko hasn’t suffered enough). Nagihiko says that sometimes you have to lie to your friends but you have to be prepared to carry the burden of that lie. Amu thinks seriously about his/her words. Yoru arrives and tries to tell Amu’s Charas about Ikuto. The other Charas show up so they FLING Yoru away. Then they realize that Yoru is going to Amu’s house. They run to the house and tell Yoru to stay away until the coast is clear and stop causing Amu problems. Yoru gets pissed off and flies off. Amu and Tadase walk home together and they have a useless conversation about Tadase’s grandmother. Amu decides that she is going to TELL on Ikuto but at least starts the conversation stating she thinks Ikuto is a good person. Tadase says that Ikuto is a black cat of misfortune and Amu is simply SHOCKED at such words. THE END!

*sigh* Amu…why…just why Tadase…

I love Amu, I really do. But sometimes her actions greatly annoy me. Like her being so dramatic about “lying” to Tadase. Amu. You weren’t lying to Tadase. Unless he came up to you and said “HEY AMU are you hiding Ikuto in your house?!” you are not lying to him. You are keeping things from him…but he doesn’t have to know this information. No one does.

Really Amu? REALLY?!

But she thinks she is in love. For some reason she desires his approval and she thinks telling Tadase about Ikuto will make her feel better. It will make her feel worse in the long run. I know becoming an adult it hard work, but there are times when you keep things to yourself and times when you tell a secret because it is necessary for that person to know.

One could only hope.

If Amu really thought that was Ikuto she should have stayed up that night or….you know, woken up when he went all sparkly. But if she wanted to prove Ikuto’s innocence’s she should have tried harder. Or protest when Tadase accused Ikuto of being the cause of it all. She has plenty of time to yell at Ikuto but when it comes to Tadase she doesn’t speak her mind and that bothers me.

He can;t even respect that Amu has friends that he doesn't like. WARNING SIGN!

But maybe it shouldn’t be. Maybe Amu is just “overwhelmed” by these awesome traits she thinks Tadase has and she can’t be herself. Maybe the fact that she can yell and speak her mind around Ikuto is a sign that she really does have a greater connection with him. Or maybe I am totally over thinking this entire situation. But Amu…really.

Tadase…I really don’t like you. Yes I understand that Ikuto stealing eggs is a bad thing. And I realize that Amu has not told you the truth about Ikuto. However….you do have a past with Ikuto. I would think you would be more aware of his situation than Amu. And even if you don’t you are not blind. You saw Ikuto battling weird. He was moving like a puppet. Something was off about him. Especially since you know…Ikuto never misses a chance to snark at you. But you are so blinded by your jealously you can’t see any of that.

Feeling is mutual.

Nagihiko!!!! My heart goes out to you! You need hugs and undivided love. This episode must have been hard for you. :( And once again you were one of the most mature people in this episode. And you didn’t have to be!

Wins the most mature award in this anime!

I know Amu wasn’t TRYING to be hurtful….but she was. Even though she doesn’t know about the whole Nagihiko actually being Nadeshiko but it is crazy in general to ask a boy to pretend to be his sister. Amu really showed Nagihiko that she considers him less of a friend that Nadeshiko. :( If she just spent a little time getting to know him she would realize they were the same person. That and hello…he acted like Nadeshiko flawlessly. How much more proof do you need?!

Putting that aside the very nature of the episode was rough on Nagihiko. I am surprised he didn’t think Amu was trying to con the truth out of him! That is what I do when I have a guilty conscience. But instead he gave very mature advice. And I hope Amu follows it. And that Nagihiko decides to be the more mature person and fess up to his own secret. Because Amu does deserve to know.

Just...very hard for my Nagihiko.

Yaya and Rima just had minor roles in this episode but I found them to be funny. They could have done it a little more Law and Order style…but it was still amusing.

I am on your side Ikuto! I hope that Amu’s eyes are opened at the end of this series and she realizes that you are the guy for her! She is way too harsh on you and you have been more than forgiving. Now her Charas are picking on Yoru..just so very hard.

But I do have a question….If Yoru wasn’t used to transform Ikuto…then why did Ikuto still have cat ears? X_X I would think this Chara would be different than Yoru which means a different kind of head gear would be require. Just seems a little lazy to me. But if they didn’t have the cat ears we would have heard crying fan girls screaming that Ikuto isn’t sexy without his ears.

Those would be cat ears....

This episode went so smoothly without a friend of the week. I hope now that Ikuto is the “bad guy” they will back off these filler characters and focus more on main characters. Cross your fingers tight people or we will have to suffer with more random ramen characters.

Ikuto makes a much better bad guy DUH writers.

Next week’s episode…looks really really good. We have a poor mom finding out a 17 year old is SLEEPING next her daughter night after night. We have Ikuto ruining Amu’s date with Tadase…I don’t think we could ask for more drama. I can’t wait for next weekend now!
