Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 18 and Shugo Chara Doki 82 Summaries and Reviews

Well then. Today is Monday and that should mean Pandora Hearts post day. :( Sadly at the time of posting that episode had not been subbed yet. :( My heart is sad that I was actually ready for something and it got pushed back. But at least it's not my fault it will be late right? XD

But since Pandora Hearts was not subbed I had to suffer through some WTF episodes this week. We have a filler Shugo Chara Doki Episode 82 and a WTF is going on with Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 18. I guess I can look at it as a good thing to get the special out of the way to enjoy the rest of my week....but still. BLEH!

So yes, spoilers for both these episodes, blah blah you have been warned. But in the case of Chrome Shelled Regios I am not sure how spoiler it will be since you know...it makes no sense at all still. In any event ENJOY!


Shugo Chara Doki Episode 82

Softball is very scary.

Summary: Amu is almost killed with a stray baseball/softball. A reverse/not trap named Natsuko is training to be a pitcher on their school’s team. She is not as good as this boy and Amu is in shock that girls can be pitchers! It is decided that Kukai will train Natsuko. Training ensues and is mainly boring and useless as they learn Natsuko’s problem is nervousness. Despite all this effort Natsuko is not made the pitcher. Lulu comes and jewels her up. There is a 5 second fight. Natsuko is healed and resolves to be a pitcher one day. Everyone is happy and skippy. The end of the longest summary EVER!

Well this episode was slightly less than memorable. See me yawning? This is me trying to stay awake long enough to type a review/summary for this episode. This episode was a filler and not one bit of plot in it making it really nonessential to the storyline. And the filler character was beyond bleh and predictable. There were parts of this episode that were bearable must mostly it was a lot of WHY and SNORE.

So yeah, the filler friend of the week was a girl. X_X Even after Lulu noted it was a girl I still thought no, that is just a pretty boy and Amu will go MOG you are a boy?! later in the episode. That is typically how these kinds of shows go down. I mean…half the guys on this show look like girls anyway right? (cough Tadase cough).

YOU ARE A BOY!

But nopers. Natsuko is a girl. Despite the guy shaped eyebrows and really, really slanted eyes she is not a trap. I mean, she does look girly but Kukai has worn his hair like that before. And voices in anime aren’t really that great of an indicator on gender. I guess in the end it doesn’t matter THAT much as the whole episode was boring anyway but still…WTF?

The only part of the episode that it mattered Natsuko’s gender was the stupid comment made by one of Amu’s Charas. “Oh, even though you’re a girl?” Yeah, let me smack some Charas and dumb writers for writing that stupid line. This is supposed to be a cutesy feel good and positive message type of anime. If anything it should be sending its (mostly girl) viewers the kind of message you can do anything you want if you try hard enough message. But after 82 episodes apparently girls can’t do everything. They can magically transform and save everyone and FLY IN THE SKY but they can’t play baseball. Awesome.

So back to the actual episode. Boring. The only thing not typical about this episode is that in the end the friend of the week does not reach their dream in the end. Yes Natsuko shines in the game but not as a pitcher. So while this episode SUCKS at showing girls that they can do anything boys can do, it does a good job of showing that even if you try your best sometimes you will fail in the end.

Sometimes you get second place. And nothing is wrong with that.

And failure is not always a bad thing. It sucks that even though you try your hardest you don’t succeed in the end. But that is life and sometimes it isn’t fair. You can’t just wish to be the best and it happens. Natsuko gave it her all and she is still second place. And after she got done having her little tantrum and trying to kill some people she decided that she will keep on pushing to reach her dream.

See, have a tantrum and then you move on.

And that is what failure should do. Not the trying to kill people part, but picking yourself up and deciding that you are going to keep on trying is what separates second place and losers. Sometimes people get cocky when they are in first, like the little jerk pitcher in this show. Sometimes those on top stop trying so hard and that allows those in second place to gain ground and sometimes pass those cocky bastards. That was a lot of words for just…keep on trying and never give up if something means that much to you.

As she nearly kills herself to prove her worth.

So with that said, is there anything left to say about this episode? I thought Kukai coming would make it a special…or less boring episode but instead it had me rolling eyes. Yes, we get it. Kukai is good at sports. All sports apparently and this episode showed that you do the exact same training exercises for every single sport out there. Even though Natsuko’s problem was NERVOUSNESS it was necessary to practice running and stair climbing. Yeah, my eyes might just roll out of my head.

I wish Amu would stop being in awe of every single person that comes in her life. It can be cute at times but really Amu these are just normal kids like you. Don’t you think you are special and unique? After all you are the one saving them every single week! And did you forget about Ikuto suffering at EASTER? How can you act so carefree about this new friend and her less that serious problem?

SEE! You can be amazing too!

I love how Rima summed up this episode so perfectly. Why are we here? Good question. XD

So yeah….that was the entire episode. Pick me off the floor and color me unimpressed. If you are going to fill my mind with fillers at least make them a little interesting.

Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 18

Chrome Shelled Regios: Where pens are the enemy!

The episode starts off with a naked Nina floating in a random place. The Ram of Power tells Nina he will be her sword or something and he sparkles into her (again). Zuellni appears and gives Nina a kiss, telling her to go somewhere else. She wakes up and is greatly confused. Elsewhere Layfon is outside fighting what turns out to be a third wave of bugs. He is injured and tired but takes them out pretty easily. Layfon tries not to think about Nina as he returns from bug slaying. Layfon is a little cranky with his team mates and doesn’t listen to their concerns about his health. Felli collapses from overuse of her powers. In some other city Leerin and Savaris are being held captive. Some weird stuff has been happening in that city and they need to investigate outsiders. While Leerin molests a pen the dude in charge jokes that he knows Leerin has nothing to do with the problems and this is a mere formality. Nina wakes up in the same city and is also taken captive. Leerin is playing a game with Savaris and he teases her a little bit. Then he rushes out the window and she pouts a little bit. Savaris thinks that something is up with a city fairy and goes to investigate. And then there was the Engrish section and my brain exploded.

While at dinner Nina and Leerin run into each other. Even though Nina thinks she knows who Leerin is neither knows of their connection. They eat dinner together and have a special bonding moment. Karian has decided that depending only on Layfon to kill all the bugs is a really really REALLY bad idea. Felli wakes up in the hospital and is happy to see Layfon looking out for her. Only she tells him she is not happy and that he should focus on Nina. Then she gets pissed when he does go worry about Nina. Then she gets worried when Layfon is shot in the hall. Then Felli passes out from 42380958 different emotions at one time.

Getting a little rough with your only good fighter? XD

While Leerin and Nina are playing a game a random bird keeps coming in the room. When they look outside they see tons of birds trapped in an energy bubble and Nina thinks it has something to do with a city fairy. Nina runs off and Leerin is all X_X. The investigator dude from before tells all the citizens that there are bugs coming and they need to seek shelter. Savaris takes Leerin to the building tops but she gets away to approach the birds. Nina has been stopped by the dog faced men so she can’t make it to help. Leerin almost falls off the building but the investigator dude saves her and she manages to save all the birds/electronic fairies. She is happy and he acts all suspicious. Layfon wakes up as he was only hit with a stun gun. Karian informs him that Layfon is pushing himself so hard not out of duty but just so he doesn’t have to focus on Nina being gone. Layfon is all upset and forced to stay inside while Felli listens on. Karian goes outside and makes an epic speech about how everyone has to work together to stop the bugs. Felli tells Layfon she will use her powers if that he is what he wants. He says that it isn’t and it is all dramatic.

MMMM dramatic.

X_X That is seriously what my face looks like. My eyes have turned into tiny little X’s as my brain has melted on to the floor. Thank you Chrome Shelled Regios. I didn’t need to use my brain today anyway.

Layfon is not pleased!

So what happened in this episode today? Yeah, I am not really sure. I guess we will start with Nina. We apparently weren’t done with the sparkly overtaking of Nina’s body. We had to had a naked floating scene and make sure that all the viewers KNEW that Nina now had the Ram of Power in her body. After Nina got done screaming and being annoying she is WHOOSHED to another city.

The art quality is so awesome in this scene.

I am surprised about how WTF I am about that situation. I mean, this is a show with giant bugs and city fairies. Why am I thinking that someone being teleported to another city is so weird and impossible? I have no idea. I wanted to think that there was some logic behind this show but I was wrong. And I am always wrong so why am I shocked? It will piss me off if it is not explained in the end how these city fairies have such powers. It can’t just be a blanketed comment that they can do anything. I will not accept it!

But whatever. Nina flew to another city and no one else noticed her flying in. They do notice her though when she is on the outskirts of the city not doing anything or harming anyone. She must be taken in for questioning because this makes no sense at all! I mean, why would such an advanced civilization have means of communicating with other cities and proving Nina’s story? That is just crazy talk.

I can see why this city is a little weary of Leerin and Savaris. Savaris is a bit strong and Leerin was carrying something important. I think they have bigger problems to worry about but whatever. When your city fairy is going insane and bugs are coming to eat your brains I guess you start making up conspiracy theories.

Have all the city fairies decided that they hate humans and had a meeting to discuss how to kill them all? We have the city that one the intercity match that is already dead. Now Nina’s home is having a crazy fairy. This new city may or may not have a crazy fairy but it looks more like human interference than craziness. Still, why are cities depending on such fickle creatures?

And why are they not all fairy shaped?

And how do humans know that city fairies boost the powers of kei users? Who was the first person who decided to get a happy little city fairy and merge it with their own power? I mean, I won’t even ask how they decided to use city fairies. Or why city fairies allow themselves to be used. I just want to know how they discovered this new power. Just seems very random.

We should ask him, I bet he knows.

I am not going to touch the dog faced men. My brain can only handle so much craziness. At this point I am not sure who the bad guy is. I mean this Ram is allowing a city to die and apparently allowed his previous city to die. So while these dog men look kinda evil I am not really on the city fairies side either.

This makes perfect sense DUH!

Not much of this summary is making sense mainly because I have no idea what is going on during the episode. I like how Layfon is finally being told that he should take a rest and let other people deal with the bug problem. Really?! Layfon only had to fight the bugs by himself three times before you all realized that HE CAN’T DO IT ALONE? This isn’t even his city. He just got there! I would be embarrassed to allow one person to continuously protect me when I am in the military arts.

Who cares about injuries!?

Felli is so cute and silly. She is willing to risk her life to protect FonFon but gets all spazzy when she learns Layfon has been watching over her. She tells him to go away and worry about Nina and when he does she gets all angry. She wants Layfon to take a rest from fighting the bugs and is pissed off when her brother makes Layfon take a rest. It is all so special in the world of Felli.

Just WTF Engrish. WTF. You last like 30 seconds each week and you hurt my head as much as the rest of the episode combine. Why? WHY DON’T YOU MAKE ANY SENSE?! Now this random emo girl is not human too? I am glad she isn’t some giant eyeball person but seriously? WTF. I hate it. DIE IN A FIRE!

No. Just no.

So…yeah. Random episode was random. It was going all over the place and people are focusing on stupid issues rather than staying alive. I can’t imagine being so selfish that I would want to take a city’s means of protection just so I could have a tiny bit more of power. And I also can’t imagine locking useful people up when big bugs will eat my face. This show is full of specialness and there is still time for more! It will be interesting to see what goes down next week and if my mind can handle anymore. XD

Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 17 and Shugo Chara Doki Episode 81 Review

Welcome to another edition of Tenchi is late at everything. And as always I have an excuse at this late little post.

The computer decided it was tired and needed a nap. That or I royally screwed it up in some magical way. All I know is my husband had to wipe everything off of it and make it like it came straight from the factory. So that was 5 hours of saving files, cleaning, and reading all the stuff back onto the laptop. X_X Fun times.

But all seems well now and hey...maybe I do spend too much time on the computer. But maybe just a little. XD But I still managed to get this post out on its scheduled day so I am happy. Enjoy XD

Shugo Chara Doki Episode 81

BE NICE TO THE YORU!

A sad and tired Yoru makes it to the royal gardens. He goes to take a nap in the Chara house. After school all the Charas and Guardians go to the royal garden for tea time and Kiseki is not pleased about Yoru sleeping in his chair. Kiseki is a jerk and Amu’s Charas spill the beans about Ikuto. Amu tells the rest of the Guardians all that went down and it is sad face city. Yaya gets the awesome idea of just going up to EASTER and just asking where Ikuto is. Even though everyone in the group says this idea is made of fail she drags them off anyway. After all the Guardians run off the Charas try to cheer Yoru up but Kiseki isn’t feeling very giving. Kiseki says that Yoru is a coward and it is his fault Ikuto can Chara change with some other Chara. The other Charas tell Kiseki to shut up and Yoru is really sad. They go outside and use fortune telling techniques to find out where Ikuto is. Amu’s Chara decide that they all should go to the amusement park. Kiseki is trying to figure out the best way to apologize to Yoru when he sees Yoru leaving the gardens. The other Charas make it to the amusement park and they end up explaining the situation to Nana. Nana goes back to Lulu but she doesn’t give a flying crap about Ikuto and rather do her homework. Amu and the others get kicked out of EASTER (big shock) and must think of a new plan. That plan includes going to see their teacher Mr. X-EASTER himself. He says that sneaking into the building would be too hard and not to worry, that he is SURE that Ikuto is being taken care of by EASTER. Yeah, rolling my eyes.

Plans? Who needs plans?!

Anyway Yoru makes it to EASTER and Kiseki catches up to him. They bicker a bit but go into the building. They sneak around and have a few close calls. They end up finding the tuning fork of doom. Yoru ignores Kiseki’s warnings and tries to steal the fork. They get caught and they have to escape through the heating ducts. EASTER sends goons all over the place as Kiseki yells at Yoru. Yoru refuses to drop the fork even though it would make escape much easier. He doesn’t want Ikuto to suffer anymore. They are later caught by the stupid scientist and Kiseki is kidnapped. Kiseki tells Yoru to just run and to take the fork with him. Yoru decides to fling the fork at the scientist and free Kiseki instead. Instead of a warm fuzzy moment Kiseki and Yoru fight. The Guardians come back failures and the other Charas return happy from their time at the amusement park. They all see Kiseki and Yoru snuggled up in the house and it is a happy moment.

We are not pleased.

Meh. There isn’t really much to say about this episode. It was an episode focused only on the Charas. Usually that has me running to the hills. But in the grand scheme of boring fillers this one wasn’t TOO BAD.

Did I really say that? I must have a fever or something. I will self medicate myself with ice cream and chicken noodle soup!

But seriously….it wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad. It just was. The Charas weren’t even the most annoying part of this episode which is a shock. But then I realized that Yaya was so things started to make more sense.

I realize that these are a bunch of 11 and 12 years old and that most of the time 11 and 12 year olds aren’t really smart and responsible (except the girls in the Baby Sitters Club!). So….while I was rolling my eyes at the idea of them storming EASTER I realize that when you are that young things seem that simple. And that Yaya is a moron about simple things in life so why expect anything more out of her?

Following Yaya is always full of fail.

What I do think was everyone else’s fault was not bringing along their Charas. Granted Yaya’s plan was full of fail and stupid but at least if they had their Charas with them they could defend themselves when things eventually go up in flames. Sparkly weapons and flashy costumes might not go far but at least it is a start. So why they ran off without making sure they had their only line of defense hurts my brain. Try harder next time guys.

But I guess I am happy that Amu told the rest of her friends what is going on. Part of me wishes she had clued in the others waaaaaaaaaay before this happened but whatever. Perhaps that is just part of who she is as no one else was mad at all this secretness.

The main focus of this episode was Kiseki and Yoru becoming friends. Or losing the desire to kill each other. That part of the show was cute. A little forced at times and pretty predictable but I liked it. In a way it bridges the fight between Ikuto and Tadase. Granted the Chara fights are usually more petty than the human fights but it still was a feel good moment.

I am on team Yoru of course. Kiseki was pretty dang rude to the sad and tired Yoru. Last time I checked that house belonged to Amu and she was sharing it with everyone else. So Kiseki needs to put his big boy panties on when someone is sitting in his self appointed chair. And it was such a low blow to blame Yoru for Ikuto’s problems. Ikuto and Yoru might be your enemies but don’t doubt Yoru’s devotion to Ikuto. I am glad that Kiseki decided to apologize but all the tension was his fault.

For a split second I thought they were going to get the tuning fork out of EASTER. I was like OH CRAP are they actually going to do something on their own and not screw up royally? But nope. The tuning fork is still at EASTER and now everything will probably be more secured and harder to break into. But since Yoru gave up the tuning fork to save Kiseki it is acceptable. Because really if Yoru was a cold hearted person or a normal person he would have saved his pal and let his enemy die. Now that Yoru has proven himself to Kiseki things better change and Yoru is treated with more respect.

Silly for believing of them XD

So at the end of the episode are we have gained is a warm fuzzy feeling that Kiseki and Yoru are closer. Not best friends but no longer mortal enemies. Amu had to tell everyone about the whole Ikuto truth thing. And that Yaya is a moron every single moment of her life. Not much actually. Oh and the other Charas are pretty useless too.

Yay for snuggles.

The next episode looks very fillery. I love Kukai and I think there should be more of him…but I want more plot. I am tired of Ikuto being hurt and alone in the world. It feels like MONTHS since the start of his plot! Now we have baseball kid and Kukai training Amu? Just bleh. :( No more fillers please.

Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 17

The comments practically write themselves!

Karian’s little right hand girl goes to deliver the message to Nina. But when Nina learns that Zuellni is acting crazy she runs out of the room. Felli links Nina and Karian up so Karian can give her the scoop. He explains that Zuellni is leading them towards a bunch of filth bugs and Layfon is off to fight them. Nina says that she won’t go help him as she must stay and help Zuellni. An injured Layfon makes it to Haia and his band of misfits. Haia shows Layfon where the bugs are Cloverfield style and reminds him that his crew is only responsible for 6 of the bugs and Layfon has to take out the other 6. Layfon wants to take them out now but Haia has the stupidest idea ever and tells Layfon to wait. The rest of Platoon 17 is on their way to see Layfon and Shena is a ball of happiness. Nina is still linked to Felli as she makes her way to see Zuellni. There is a brief moment of Engrish that involves a face man and it makes no sense and it is X_X. Nina makes to down to the core and Zuellni is trapped in a blue crystal of something. The Ram of Power appears and pisses Nina off. The Ram of Power goes on and on about how he needs a new master and blah blah blah. He doesn’t think Nina is an excellent choice but decides to make Nina all sparkly and spazzy on the floor anyway. Felli loses her connect with Nina and is slightly concerned.

Of course Synola is the master of looking concerned.

On a roaming bus Leerin and Savaris are making their way towards Zuellni. Savaris has to lie about his reason for traveling with Leerin because Synola threatened him a little. Synola is very serious about Savaris protecting Leerin but she is not allowed to know she needs protection. The next day Layfon is getting ready for battle when the special ops guy from Haia’s team strikes up a conversation with Layfon. He almost mentions why city fairies are so important when Felli interrupts the line to tell Layfon they are on their way. Layfon tells Felli that all he wants them to do is watch and record the fight. Even though Layfon wants them to watch him fight, he tells them only to watch and record Haia and his team. It really makes no sense. Meanwhile Shena is busy being shocked and amazed over filth monsters. The fight gets underway and everyone is going MOG LAYFON IS SO STRONG. After more fighting Layfon decides that he had them watch this fight to see how Haia’s men work as a team and that one day they can fight like that too, that they don’t always have to depend on him. Everyone is touched and covered with bug guts. Back at the city Vance reports that Nina has gone missing. The episode ends with Leerin taking a shower thinking about Layfon, Layfon looking satisfied, and Felli looking less than thrilled. The end.

Layfon saves the day?! NO WAY!

Yeah….not really feeling this episode at all. It wasn’t hard to understand…it just seemed like a huge waste of time except that the bugs are dead and Nina is now the great Ram carrier. Everything else was BLEH!

FOILED AGAIN!

So let’s talk about Nina first. Because Nina is full of specialness and is the only one who can calm Zuellni down. Out that entire city, Nina is the ONLY person that fairy trusts. Because she went to city fairy school and knows exactly how to handle them. It’s not like Nina just got done saying she thinks too much of her abilities and goes back to thinking ONLY I CAN SAVE THE DAY! Smooth.

No saving the day for you!

But I guess we can put that aside for now. We can focus on the fact that she actually believes in Layfon’s power and won’t try to get in the way. She will focus on what she can do. So congratulations Nina, you have gained a small silver lining in this mess that you call your life.

Nina’s prize of course is getting possessed by the Ram of Power. After seeing what happened to Din I would be slightly worried about this whole situation but she might not remember. Or maybe the Ram of Power has taken over Nina completely given the fact she is missing. I am not quite sure what Zuellni’s issue is. There seem to be people that want to protect the city so surely it is not that issue. It makes me think that Zuellni is under the Ram of Power’s influence so why the heck would he want to kill people? Need more information please.

Din part two.

Engrish. Just no. Really, I am over it.

Of course. Just...of course.

So onto the battle that doesn’t make sense. I guess I will start with Haia’s brilliant plan. He tells Layfon that the bugs will be weaker right after they wake up. This actually makes sound and logic sense….if you know, we weren’t talking about HUGE GIANT BUGS. Oh and the fact that they were sleeping! See, you can go and start attacking the bugs while they are still asleep and when they wake up THEY WILL STILL BE WEAK! I am not seeing the point in letting them wake up and have time to regain their strength or form a plan. This was just….brilliant. So very brilliant. But of course I am the one who would probably live at the end of a Sci-Fi movie…or die first.

So okay, the plan was lame. But Layfon was smart and called in reinforcements just in case things got bad right? Nopers. He just called in some strong fighters to a battlefield so they can watch the battle.

Very important business.

….Seriously. -_____- What a long drawn out process just to get them to work together as a team. Oh and it totally worked, with them learning not to rely on Layfon’s awesome power while witnessing Layfon’s awesome power. See guys, Layfon isn’t that great as he takes out 6 bugs faster than that whole other team taking out 6 all together. Not great at all.

Who needs reinforcements anyway?!

It is kind of late in the game for Platoon 17 to be getting the “Let’s be a great team” speech. I get that Layfon was just trying to help and showing them that they can work together as a team. But really I am over the whole we learn to work together and next week we fail deal. Either get the message or move on.

Layfon....is awesome?

Maybe it will stick this time around. And now Shena knows what filth monsters look like. Because apparently she wasn’t with apart of the crew that killed the last ones that attacked the city. Everything is hugs and kisses except for the fact that Nina is missing. And that the Queen really wants to protect Leerin but she is being o so sly about it.

Total team meeting.

Maybe next episode will be better. Not to say that this episode totally sucked…but it came off slightly useless and X_X. I just hope Leerin doesn’t get all crazy on Layfon. I can’t handle any more lame girls with their boobies molesting Layfon. Be better next week or else!

Weekly Anime Post: Shugo Chara Doki 80 and Chrome Shelled Regios 15 and 16

WOOT! I am on time with two posts..in a row?! And I plan on blogging 07-Ghosts on time tomorrow too! Plus my house is a happy clean little house?! Truly my life must be simple if these little things can make me happy.

On a note that makes more sense...yeah, I think that I am going to give up on Asura Cryin'. I haven't watched episode 2 yet so that lets me know that apparently the show wasn't that important to me. Which is fine. Quality is better than quantity in my book. I will just stick with my little fighting show that makes no sense and my feel good girl show for my weekly posts.

Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 15

This episode needs more boobies!

Synola is strangling a member of the Heavens Blades because she ticked her off. Fun times are had by all. Elsewhere Nina announces that their next battle will be with Platoon 1 and she is confident they can win against such pros. But to ensure victory she has set up a special training program in the mountains. After being reassured that Karian has nothing to do with this trip everyone agrees to go. Karian is much too busy trying to figure out why the city is falling apart and thinks it has something to do with the city fairy thing. They all arrive at the spot and are greeted by Mifi, Naruki, and Meishen greet them (much to Felli’s joy). Mifi explains that the newspaper is funding this trip under the conditions she is allowed to interview and take pictures of everyone. Meishen is being all dorky in the kitchen and restorations some cooking utensils. Layfon takes pity on her and helps peel potatoes. It is all rainbows and cupcakes in her mind. In the hall Felli is joined by Nina and they both spy and glare at Meishen. Sharnid comes around the corner and teases the girls. Before they can tear his head off he gives them a VEGETABLE PEELER and says with this they can help cook and interrupt the cozy moment. The girls fight over the item of power and Nina wins. But she is too late to help make dinner so it is fail.

NO! Only magical weapons and 500 feet monsters and city fairies exist!

Naruki is made an honorary member of the platoon so she can help with practice. To make it fair it is everyone against Layfon. Naruki thinks this is unfair but rethinks her position when Layfon kicks everyone’s butt. Mifi reveals to her two buddies that the real reason the trip was funded was because the newspaper wants to find out the real reason Layfon got kicked out of his old home and was an ex-Heaven Blader. Insert some shocked faces. Leerin is in a library studying the different paths the cities take. Synola is listening to a female Heaven Blader talking about how they should take the city fairy (the RAM of power) found in Zuellni and bring it to Grendan. Synola is busy thinking about how she shouldn’t have kicked Layfon out of Grendan. This Heaven Blade person then starts talking about how she found it odd that Grendan (that fox thing) appeared to Leerin that one time. So she did some research and found out that Leerin is AND then the Heavens Blade person is strangled. Synola is not amused but allows her to live. At dinner Nina goes on to say Meishen’s dinner is delicious and taste just like the lunch Layfon shares with her. So Meishen learns that Layfon shares her precious dinner and goes off crying. Nina decides to unleash some pain on Layfon for being a dummy and Felli is not amused. Meishen comes back to help her friends do the dishes.

Why didn't you just stay gone?!

Later that night Naruki talks about how she felt such sadness from Layfon and how his past consumes him. She wants Mifi to not run the article but Mifi thinks she still has to. Meishen is in the corner crying because she wants to know Layfon better. Felli and Nina go to the hot springs if only to show that Felli is sad that she has no boobies. Back in Engrish land nothing is making sense SHOCKER! It mostly consists of the eye patch man running around an apartment building and side characters talking about him. The scene ends suddenly and Sharnid wants Harley to give him money to watch the end of it. Layfon receives a note and goes outside to see Meishen. There he apologizes for sharing her special lunch and promises to eat it all himself next time. Meishen is beyond happy but still asks him personal questions about his past and flaunts her boobies a little bit. He tells her two sentences about his past and she breaks out into tears and shows more of her boobies. Oh and Layfon thinks he is a monster for having such power. Before Meishen’s boobs can kill Layfon the area they are standing on starts to collapse and Layfon tries to save them both. He manages to protect Meishen but he is a rod in his back and there is a tiny pool of blood. Felli says help is on the way as he passes out. THE END!

That probably hurts.

Yeah…this episode was pretty special. I like the funny moments but there are still WTF why are kids allowed so much freedom and power moments. And of course the amount of boob shots in this episode made me role my eyes. Besides the slightly bloody ending this episode was supposed to be fun and it was.

Ew! Meishen needs to die!

I can never understand when in anime a team needs special training and that automatically means that they need to LEAVE where they live and train in the mountains/country/ect. It sounds like it would save time and money to just train where you live, just in a different area. Really, we all know these training trips are just an excuse to create sexual tension and have some interaction with the opposite sex in domestic situations. I just find it amusing that this is all under the guise of WE MUST GET STRONGER!

But it makes sense to Nina!

Felli is so special. We get it writers, she is jealous. She is sad that she has no boobies. And apparently she wants to overhear private conversations but is reluctant to use her powers to do so. Thanks for being special Felli.

But I love special!

The fight over the potato peeler was the best part of this episode. Of course I found it funny that both Nina and Felli had no idea WHAT the peeler was and regarded it as some awesome treasure. Then I was amused that Nina basically said that she couldn’t train Felli even if she wanted to (making the trip even more useless). Then when both of the girls ended up not being able to ruin Meishen’s moment…it was priceless.

Apparently this episode was about boobies. Because we didn’t have enough boobies in the swimming episode. No no, we need to showcase the only reason why people would think Meishen is interesting. Seriously, I thought those puppies were going to attack Layfon at any moment. And Layfon is sitting their bleeding to death over her and the main focus in on her falling out of her pajamas? Whatever. Paint Meishen as the real modest girl and give her a nightgown that fits.

But besides her boobies Meishen is annoying as sin. I mean really, she is leaving a huge lunch for Layfon to eat, not telling him who it is from, and getting mad that he shared it? I am sick of this shy innocent girl act. The talk with Layfon on the bridge thing made me roll my eyes and gag. Layfon barely told her anything and she is sobbing up a storm. She barely knows him and she is acting like he is the most important person that ever existed. It is time to take her out Shirley style right?

Holy heck Synola what is going on? It sounds like she knows a lot more about the city fairies than she is letting on. Then she goes and tries to strangle someone that works for her? :( It makes me sad because I wanted to know WHAT Leerin is to Synola. Damn her for interrupting this important piece of information! But Synola is shady so I shouldn’t be surprised that she isn’t above killing her own people. Just makes me wonder why she would throw someone out of her city for making a little money on the side.

Why haven’t people got it through their heads yet that Layfon is strong? I mean, they do see him in battle and how awesome he is right? I just don’t understand why each week we have to go through the whole MOG Layfon is awesome conversation. He is great! I understand that! Let’s move on.

But we are moving on to Layfon getting stabbed. :( And it is Meishen’s fault. Good thing episode 16 is already up so I can see what happens right away. Woot for more drama and specialness!

Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 16

Layfon's left over emoness amuses me.

The episode starts off with Zuellni flying all over the place and being BAD. The people have no idea how to control her and Zuellni pouts in the corner. Synola is busy thinking about Layfon’s empty Heavens Blade seat when Savaris and his sexy self comes up. He volunteers to go get the rogue city fairy and his reasons may not be all for the good of mankind but more self serving. She says that she will think about all that later as she has something important to do. Synola goes to visit Leerin and molest her boobies a little bit. Leerin is not in the mood and Synola figures out that Leerin is planning on going to see Layfon. Synola tries to talk her out of that idea since the outside world is so scary and evil. Leerin is just worried since Layfon hasn’t returned her letters yet. Layfon is busy recovering in the hospital. He is doing fine despite the fact he almost bled out but he has to have surgery on his back. He is going to miss the next battle and is sad. Felli has a special attack because she is not the first to bring Layfon flowers and stomps out. Nina is training and thinking back to when Layfon was injured. Meishen was crying on the ground and being pathetic when Layfon was located. He was loaded into an ambulance and all Nina could think about was how they were going to be without him in the next battle. She decides that she has to be a stronger person so she doesn’t think like that anymore.

We should worry over him truly.

Sharnid has tracked down Shena and asked her to join Platoon 17. She is pissed off and says she will not ever be on a team with Sharnid again. Sharnid just wants Shena to be able to shine again even if she hates his guts. Mifi and Naruki go to visit Layfon on the hospital. He questions why Meishen isn’t there and her two lying friends say she is fine (when she is really curled up in a bed crying herself to sleep). Back in Engrish land the wall grows a face and the floor EATS THE MAIN GUY! But back to where things make more Shena does decide to join platoon 17 and Nina gives her the run down on what the game plan is. Nina decides to be the bait and everyone else…has to do something else. Shena and Sharnid take care of their opponents and Nina is up against Vance. He barely hits her once and apparently that means Platoon One wins the match. Meanwhile Layfon is visited by one of Karian’s bed and ends up leaving the hospital right after his surgery. He meets with Meishen on the train and she knows that he is going to go somewhere dangerous and cries over the fact he won’t let her protect him.

Hopefully this mission does not require a shirt.

Layfon meets up with Karian and he explains there is a filth monster in the city. Then he says that Zuellni went crazy and changed paths INTO a pack of filth monsters. Karian also says that Layfon’s accident was not an accident and probably Zuellni’s fault. Layfon is to work with Haia (or whatever his name is) and his men to handle this problem. Layfon is introduced to someone who can smell filth bugs and has survived being outside. Apparently he is important. Layfon agrees to go along with this mission under one condition. Shena is busy throwing a fit that they lost the battle when Nina receives a note from Layfon. Leerin’s father gives her an item that must be delivered to Layfon so she is beyond happy.

This is not predictable at all!

Well it is a good thing that I got to watch this episode right after 15. I mean…I would have never guessed that Layfon was going to be just fine and stubborn as hell. What a complete and utter shock.

This entire city fairy business confuses me. What the heck are they anyway? Apparently they are the will of the city, but do the people in the city control her will? Do they want to even control this city? I am not understanding why a city fairy would purposely try to kill everyone they are trying to protect. Also I am not really understanding why a civilization with such technology would rely on the power of some crazy creature when you know…the world they live is ruined by crazy creatures. I need to know more about these city fairies and I need to know now!

CLEARLY OUT OF CONTROL!

It sounds to me that Synola is using the city fairy or has access to its power. It also sounds like Savaris knows that city fairies can be used too. I am just wondering why people who are already really strong need even more power but meh. Hopefully I will have answers soon.

Such a special Queen.

I must say that Nina deserves the least improved award of the year. I love how her first reaction to seeing Layfon bleeding and near death on the ground is that OH SNAP we are going to lose the battle. But she thinks that she is a better person by saying that she needs to correct that thinking and become stronger so she doesn’t rely on Layfon anymore. Because really, that is how she will become a better person in the end.

I wish she was my leader....

OR NOT! How about when you see your teammate laying on the ground with something sticking out of his back YOU THINK OF HIM?! Is that really too much to ask? I mean, maybe I am the weird one in thinking that friends or at least comrades should worry about their fallen friend rather than a battle that doesn’t mean anything. Thanks Nina, thanks for proving again why you are not a good leader. And thanks for missing the point on why your thinking was completely wrong. I foresee you become an excellent adult in the near future. Only not.

I wonder if Nina deserves this!!!!!

Shena was just BLEH! She seriously freaks me out with that hair and now I have to endure her every single week now that she is a member of Platoon 17? Lucky LUCKY me. I love how she says that Din is doing find when clearly he is not. But whatever, Platoon 17 needs another person, she needed a team, and she is just as crazy about winning as Nina is. Clearly this will end well.

I really love how compassionate Karian is. It is almost like he and Nina were raised by the same crazy nonfeeling morons. Layfon was nearly killed. He had surgery on his back. But apparently no one else in the city can help deal with the filth bugs. There is not a whole school of kids who are supposed to train for this kind of event. Not one student. And even if Layfon was needed, he couldn’t rest for 24 hours? Is it really safe to further injury the only person that can save your city? Maybe Synola sent Layfon there because this city is really that pathetic.

Does Felli do anything in battle? All I see are her flower petals and her telling everyone where the enemies are. Other than that she just stands there. She can use her power to fight so…not really understanding why she is not helping out more. Well, other than the fact that she really doesn’t want to be there anyway.

I predict that Leerin will arrive at the same time as this bug issue and Layfon will get further injured while rescuing her. And that more mysteries will arise about the whole city fairy thing. And I also predict that I will be more confused and upset about boobies. But Layfon is a sweetie so maybe I will tolerate it. XD

Shugo Chara Doki Episode 80

Ikuto cannot save the show on his own!

The first few minutes of the episode recap the events of last episode. Tadase tells Amu to take care of the X-eggs but Ikuto uses his special scythe to fling her attack away. Tadase battles with Ikuto and decides that at that moment it is time to ask Ikuto about the past and why he betrayed him. You know, while Ikuto isn’t saying anything and acting like a freak. Tadase demands to know the truth and for a brief second Ikuto wakes up. He warns everyone to stay away from him or they will get hurt. His eyes turn blank again and he attacks them both. The director walks up and Tadase and Amu soon realize that Ikuto is being controlled by the tuning fork. Amu learns that the director is Ikuto’s stepfather and she thinks back to what Utau said about that man. The director controls Ikuto and makes him attack the pair. Amu and Tadase break out the epic speeches and talk about trust and believing in people. Really it is a conversation about them trust and believing in the other person but whatever. The combine their attacks and heal all the X-eggs in a rainbow fountain of love.

Most unique battle name EVER!

The Embryo then appears and Amu goes after it. Ikuto tries to follow her but Tadase stops him. Amu reaches the Embryo and it is all sparkly and she feels weird. Then she is forced to untransformed and falls to her doom. Tadase saves her but Ikuto escapes. Yoru is very sad and lonely. The kids who had their eggs Xed all start waking up and Amu convinces them they are at a free promotion for this theme park. Then the rest of the episode is spent with Amu recapping how Ikuto came to live at her house and how bad she felt and blah blah THIS ALL JUST HAPPENED! Tadase thanks Amu for telling him the truth and he now trusts her again. He can’t forgive Ikuto but he wants to save Ikuto to find out the truth. The director goes to visit the President and promises that next time will be a success and blah blah. Amu and Tadase arrive at school together the next day and the rest of the Guardians take that as a good sign. The first King is watching from the window and says crap about how times are going to tough for Amu but soon a key will be revealed. Amu is smiling and Yoru is still a sad little kitty. THE END!

Why do we care what you say again?

This post will be a little short due to the fact that a lot of the episode was mostly recaps. That and the fact that Tadase did most of the talking. XD But at least there was Ikuto to lessen the suck.

But we must!

I know some bloggers have said they liked the flashbacks/recaps but I was just rolling my eyes. I am not a fan of entire episodes devoted to flashbacks. It seems like the lazy way out and it disappoints fans. But with these recaps the events JUST HAPPENED. We are not even on a whole new season and maybe people have forgotten what happened. Some of these things happened earlier that day! Insert me rolling my eyes.

It sparkles!

I do understand that Amu needed to come out and tell the truth to Tadase if only so she could stop whining about being a liar. Amu needed to get it off her chest and confess. But I rather it be a cut scene that starts with her well, it started when I found Ikuto in my bed….and suddenly Amu said and that is the whole story. That would have been less fillery. :( It just feels like we had a super short episode and that makes me an angry blogger.

AMU! You are the main character. Why are you just standing there while the boys fight? Get out there and do your thing too! Show that you don’t need a man to protect you. Or at the very least heal all those X-eggs.

But I guess what is more special is the fact that the director and his men are just standing there. Hello, don’t you want to win? Don’t you think that capturing Amu would help out with your plans of world domination? No, you rather just stand there and look menacing? Okay, you go and do that.

Tadase needs to work on his timing. I am happy that he has decided that he is not going to be an angry little boy anymore and is going to question why his friend turned on him. But…it was really not the best time to have a heart to heart. Battles are never a good place to have heart to hearts but really not a good time when the other person is under the control of the baddie.

Well, maybe it wasn't a fight as much it was Tadase making sure he didn't get his head chopped off.

Speaking of heart to hearts…yeah, more epic conversations during battle. Well, it was more Amu and Tadase telling each other let’s be friends again but still, listen up baddies! We are 12 years old and we know best! Trust is the only thing that matters. Without it you are NOTHING! And we are going to tell someone this and they are going to change their ways. Yes it was cheesy as hell and it had no chance of working…but I guess Amu is cute.

What is wrong with Embryo? Or does the Embryo’s magical power too much for Amu to handle and that is why she almost became a splat pancake. It was still a WTF moment though. I know it was too early for the Embryo mystery to be solved but I didn’t think Amu was going to nearly die because of it. Just special.

And WHOOSH she goes!

But everything is fine now. Amu and Tadase had a heart to heart now and can walk to school together. Amu is smiling with her friends. The first King is saying the same Bs he is always saying. Oh…I guess life sucks if your name is Ikuto and Yoru. :( Don’t forget about them Amu! Life isn’t all cupcakes and rainbows yet!...But I am glad that she does realize that Ikuto was just trying to protect her. That I will accept and not complain about. But I shall complain about next week’s episode BLEH!
