New Weekly Anime March 9th -15th

Another week another weekly anime write up! XD Every Sunday I spend most of the day with this entry because I am such a slacker. That and a lot of subber groups post on the weekend. Which makes a lot of sense since they are busy people too. But starting with the Spring Anime Season I am going to start posting this either on Tuesday or Wednesday. XD I am a SLACKER!

Photobucket

Anime: Confusing Tenchi since 1999.

So there is no Tales of the Abyss post because a new episode was not subbed at the time of posting. And there is no Mariaholic post...because that series gets on my nerves and I wanted to watch Skip Beat instead. Maybe I will do a combo post next week so I can get more hatred out at once. XD

Here is a list of the episodes and reviews for this post. Happy reading!

Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 9
Kuroshitsuji Episode 21
Shugo Chara Doki Episode 74
To Aru Majesty no Index Episode 23
Skip Beat Episode 22

Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 9

Putting my faith in teenagers....I live in fear.

Nina is still being MOG Layfon was a Heaven Blade person?! Elsewhere, in a town far away Leerin is “reading” a letter from Layfon. Leerin is walking around the city while she "hears" Layfon talk about how grateful he is for his second chance…but he can’t run away from his past and all that jazz. Leerin is doing laundry later and talking to her father. He thinks she should go back and help the orphanage out, but she has decided not to as a way to support Layfon. Her dad is concerned with her well being but Leerin says she is okay with the way things are. A breeze goes by and her father gets ready for battle…but apparently the danger goes away. Goreno is off telling Nina that he is made that Layfon was in underground activities and sullied the good name of his mentor…but apologizes for trying to smush Nina. Felli, Layfon, and Sharnid are still searching for survivors as Shante spies on them. Nina decides that looking for victims is not as important as questioning Layfon’s past. Back in Grendan Savaris and Lintence are investigating a dead body. He is an umpire from the tournament to decide who is the next Heaven Blade person. The person who killed the umpire is no longer a person, but a part bug/part human. Leerin decides to write Layfon a letter about how she is in danger but she doesn’t want to worry him when boob grabbing Shinola comes in and they exchange some happy words. Before any lesbian action can happen the windows burst open and the breeze monster comes again. Shinola protects Leerin and there is a glimpse of some kind of monster in their eyes. Leerin decides that her father is in danger and runs off to save him. Shinola orders Savaris to go and protect Leerin. Nina is questioning Layfon about his actions and he explains he fought underground matches to make money to survive. Nina decides that reasoning is stupid and yells at him so more. Because fighting to survive is stupid. There is a little flashback of Layfon fighting for his spot in the Heaven Blade team and to do so…he cuts off another person’s arm. And said dude bleeds black blood. Leerin is the only one crying in the stands and looking on in shock.

Photobucket

Black blood?!

Back at Grendan Leerin makes it back to her dad…only to see him fighting a purple monster dude with the face of Mr. I got my arm cut off. The monster keeps screaming Layfon’s name as he tries to eat Leerin’s dad. Leerin kinda gets in the way and her dad takes a beating to protect her. She sits there kinda useless as the monster goes to attack her. The beast that was in someone’s reflection is now standing behind Leerin and that scares the monster off. Leerin passes out and Shinola catches her before she hits the ground. She is pissed that Savaris did not protect her and orders her look alike to handle the situation. Savaris has found the monster and really is going to town on him. It’s not really an even battle. Savaris talks about his brother Goreno and how this dude deserved to have his Blade taken away. Goreno wakes up and Shante is not in the room. He follows some people into the hallway and they are the mask people way back from episode 3 (I think). Before he can follow them Shante comes from the shadows and acts weirder than usual. But she knocks herself out and it is all stupid. Nina is taking a shower and thinking about Layfon words. Felli goes out to talk to Layfon and or kick him for no good reason. Felli doesn’t care about his past with being a Heaven Blade person or his illegal activities. No, she cares more about Leerin and who she is. Layfon tries to talk about who he is…but Nina comes outside and tells Layfon that she isn’t going to tell him how to stop thinking. But she does think they need to be on different platoons now. X_X

No…No Engrish?! WHAT?! You mean after weeks of having 30 seconds segments about something that makes NO sense…they are just going to take it out?! I mean…I want to see the Engrish people in that car ride against dog humans. I mean…it is very important to see the exact same situation every single week with not progression. HOW DARE THEY LISTEN TO ME AND NOT INCLUDE IT! I feel robbed…and pleased. Thanks.

Photobucket

We get sad girls instead. No Engrish...

I am happy they had some Grendan city action today. While the transition between scenes leaves something to be desired, we at least are getting to know the other 15 million characters in this series. In a confusing and random manner….but I will take what we can get.

Photobucket

YAY FOR BOOBIES!

Leerin is danger…still. I am not quite sure from what she is in danger from as it doesn’t seem to be the people upset at Layfon’s money making skills. I mean..I don’t think the filth man of doom was why she was in danger. So…maybe there are other people who are mad about the Layfon situation and her taking his side. I really don’t know what is going on…so guess I fail at trying to speculate who the bad guy is XD I just think if those people ARE the ones after her they are morons. Go after the person who did the bad thing, not the person who just nodded her head and said he was right.

Photobucket

But she has random animals to protect her YAY!

Savaris kinda sucked at protecting Leerin. And by kinda I mean WOW he sucked dude. He seemed to take joy in killing a onetime comrade way too much and missed his mission of keeping Leerin in one piece. He still looked pretty sexy fighting…just he needs to be a good guy, not someone on the good team skating around the moral issues.

Photobucket

-10 points for protecting, 100 points for sexy.

I was a little surprised that becoming a Heaven Blade person was so violent. I mean…I want to have the strongest people protecting cities and having the best weapons…but cutting off people’s arms? I thought I was witnessing the underground matches! Whatever the case is..that dude who lost his position shouldn’t be so pissed off. Layfon didn’t break any rules at that time. He challenged a current Heaven Blade person and won. If it wasn’t Layfon who challenged him it would have been someone else. But since Layfon was doing illegal activities later that means you are allowed to turn into a filth bug and eat people. Makes total sense.

Photobucket

X_X Yeah, I knew I saw him bleed black blood.

I am not really seeing the big deal about Layfon participating in these underground matches. Of course, I am confused WHY he was a Heaven Blade person and still living in an orphanage. He made it sound like he HAD to do this to survive meaning that he was stuck living at that place. Maybe if Heaven Blade people got paid for their services he wouldn’t have to take in an extra income?

Photobucket

Apparently trying to survive is WRONG!

Maybe it was a big deal. I guess if you hold a position of power you are expected to conduct yourself in a more proper manner. You are the face of the government and you can’t be caught doing anything shady. So okay, kick him out of your town. But don’t be having blood feuds and threatening innocent people along the way. It’s not he bribed people or used his station to gain an advantage in life.

Photobucket

At least he hasn't been killed yet X_X Poor umpire.

Of course Nina does not see it that way. Because you know..her world works slightly different with things be solved with smiles and hard work. She is in the Military Arts because she wants to be. She doesn’t know the harsh realities that other people have to face. She is being pretty judgmental over a guy who was FORCED to be in her platoon. I understand being upset before you have the details..but for her to want Layfon out of her platoon because they see things differently is a little immature. I mean…they are all on that team for different reasons. Don’t single Layfon out for his past mistakes. Also, kicking out your strongest member not the smartest move EVER!

Photobucket

Don't worry Layfon, you still got one girl who likes you!

Goreno was boring in this episode. Apparently his old teacher was Mr. Got my arm chopped off/part bug monster and that is his issue. Not the fact that Layfon did the underground fighting once he was in that position, just that Layfon was better than someone else. That is an awesome reason to be mad at someone. Of course…unless Goreno’s teacher is Leerin’s dad. A lot of names=confused me. Either way, the person who “suffered” should be pissed off, not Goreno who apparently was never awesome enough to be a Heaven Blade person. I also like how he apologized to Nina for maybe going too far. Yeah, you almost killed her too genius.

Photobucket

Your blood feud annoys me.

Shante was also very special in this episode. Somehow those mask wearing people got to her too and she acted crazier than usual. I love how the mask people just randomly show up and they are not explained. Kinda like the Engrish portion of the show, but with less confusion.

So another interesting episode to say the least. We got random showers in dead cities and enough free time to go outside and kick people. We have boob grabbing Queens and plot answers that only lead to more questions. Confusing anime is confusing…but I will try to stick to it. Confusion can be fun…sometimes.

Kuroshitsuji Episode 21

Photobucket

Ceil is too cute for words!!!!

The episode starts off with a young woman on top of a roof..somewhere. She is apparently an awesome sniper who doesn’t even need a scope to get her kill on. She targets a middle aged looking man but hesitates when he sees his wife and two young children. Suddenly Sebastian is there…and offers her a job. As a maid. OH WHAT THE HELL SHE IS MEIRIN?! The crazy glasses are a gift from Ceil and she actually LIKES wearing her uniform?! Back to the present day the Stupid Trio (?!?) greets Ceil happily…but he pretty much dismisses them, like he always does. But the Stupid Trio thinks that something is wrong with their young master and vows to cheer him up. This involves Finny riding on Pluto setting all the bushes on fire. While killing all nearby trees Finny thinks about what life was like at the mansion before he was there. Inside Ceil is informed that France is celebrating their 100 years of independence by creating the Eiffel Tower. The Queen wants to sneak into the event and Ceil feels a little unsettled about the situation. Sebastian can only offer semi cutting remarks as he is more concerned with something outside. Sebastian finds Meirin messing up on the cleaning again…and Sebastian suggests taking off her glasses so she can see. She decides..NO since Ceil gave her these glasses. Bard is also doing not such awesome things in the kitchen and Sebastian gets frustrated. Elizabeth arrives that the trio question her about what Ceil used to be like as a “child”. Insert cute baby Ceil actually being happy. It is decided that filling the house with laughter would make Ceil happy and off they go.

Suddenly there is a breeze (that dang breeze from Chrome Shelled Regios apparently). The trio get that MMM look and quickly get Elizabeth inside. Elizabeth is WHOOSHED off to see Ceil while Sebastian tells the trio it is time to do their real job. Turns out that Coral dude was not killed last week as he is sending his henchmen to take out Ceil. Cue the stupid trio…not being so stupid anymore. All three turn into awesome fighters who are able to fend off the baddies without killing any of them. Bard’s past is shown, that he was in the military and he suffered the loss of his entire unit. Finny is shown being locked up as a child and being injected with a super human serum. Both were rescued by Sebastian and all three were hired to not be servants but to protect the entire house and Ceil. They are very grateful for their jobs and happily complete them. While this is going on Sebastian plays the violin so Ceil and Elizabeth don’t hear what is going on. Elizabeth has come over to ask Ceil how to play chess. He shows her the different pieces but doesn’t pay close attention as he has other important matters on his mind. He thinks once again how he is using them all as his pawns and that they are expendable. He thinks of Lau’s last words and how he might have misguided trust in the Queen. He thinks of Aberlin trying to give him a future. All while his house is under attack. Sebastian sees Ceil lost in his thoughts and suggest they end this lesson for the day. Ceil goes downstairs and see his servants a mess. He smirks and tells them to change…and they are beyond happy. All ends well with Sebastian trying to make an ironic dinner. The end!

Photobucket

Oh, and here is some plot too.

X_X Wow….just wow. I thought that last week with what with random hollow head of randomness I had had my fill of WTF moments for March. Clearly I was wrong. VERY WRONG! Never assume ANYTHING with anime EVER.

Photobucket

The beginning of my confusion!

Meirin….isn’t a moron.

Photobucket

MOG! x_X

Okay, now that everyone has picked themselves off the floor from that revelation…brace yourself for this one: Meirin might be cool.

Photobucket

Make it stop!

Now that I have nearly killed everyone watching this show, let me assure you I was shocked too. Perhaps one of the most shocked people watching this show. For weeks…since I started watching this show I have called those three servants the Stupid Trio and she was leading the stupid parade. Now…it turns out 21 episodes later she is actually awesome? That I was wrong? That I can’t take anything at face value anymore when it comes to anime? I feel betrayed.

Photobucket

It explains NOTHING!

I must confuse that I am a little slow too. I saw that sniper on the roof and had no idea who she was. I saw Sebastian offer her a job and wondered what it could be. He said she was going to be a maid…and I thought MOG they are getting rid of Meirin. Yeah….I don’t think until the camera panned to her face that I GOT it. So…maybe not a little slow but a lot slow. But at least I can admit it.

Photobucket

Slow blogger is slow :(

So while I am trying to recover from this earth shattering news…the other two stupids prove to be semi awesome too. Not on par with Meirin of course but still miles above their idiotic antics before. My Stupid Trio has turned into the Three Musketeers. X_X Everything is a lie, not just the damn cake!!!!

Photobucket

Time for serious faces!

Finny’s awesomeness wasn’t AS shocking as the other twos of course. He had at least HINTS of something in his past not being so skippy and that he is grateful to be in this house. I also found his tactics against the intruders pretty weak considering his special ability is being STRONG! But he is cute and happy so what does it matter. Bard had an interesting back-story. He also seemed a little rough around the edges and if anyone had a shady past I would have guess it would be him. His also made the most sense in terms of things that could actually happen. His experience in the military also explains on why he has a such a strong sense of loyalty to those in authority.

Photobucket

But this was still the best he could find?

In the end (or the beginning) all three of these seemingly loser like people are all careful selected individuals that are to protect Ceil and his estate. All of these people had a skill/given a skill that they thought that could only bring destruction. And Sebastian and his awesome demon skills found these three people when they were at their weakest point and offered them jobs. Jobs where their skills can be used in a positive way. Sebastian knows deep down these people want to be good/useful and uses them.

Photobucket

Cute little Finny!

So does this make Sebastian a good guy pretending to be a bad boy or a really bad guy doing something that looks good? Knowing Sebastian…it’s probably a really bad guy doing something REALLY bad and will eventually cause everyone’s death. My only question is if Sebastian hired these people as watch guards and not as actual servants…why does he get so upset when they mess up all the time? That is clearly not their profession so why get mad when they suck at something..their skill makes hard to do complete, let alone do perfectly. We are not all just one of a hell of a butler silly Sebastian.

Photobucket

Always everywhere x_X

While the Unstupid Trio and Sebastian “battle the baddies” and explain the past, Ceil thinks of the present and foreshadows the future. I wish he could have done so without annoying Elizabeth (who better not turn out to be some secret Ninja or Joan of Arc). The whole pawns and chess analogy has been used to death but I guess that can be overlooked. Maybe.

Photobucket

We get it, it's all about chess. Life goes on.

Ceil still thinking about Aberlin in this episode…and that gives me a little bit of hope for our resident emo noble. Maybe he is rethinking his position on life about being alone and only counting on himself. Of course it could always reinforce his thinking that being alone and closed off protects people in the long run. I rather just cling to my small pieces of hope while I have the chance.

Photobucket

Sebastian will play a lovely tune while Ceil suffers on the inside.

Ceil is also thinking that…mmm maybe my Queen is not so trustworthy and it is time to reevaluate my actions. Because planning a sneak attack on a country during their time of celebration isn’t very….honorable. And isn’t Ceil doing all of this to protect his Queen and get justice for himself? Ceil is about to be burned by another adult in his life..and I think this one will affect him more than the others.

Photobucket

But he can still smile....when he makes fun of people.

And let’s pretend that me talking about the French Revolution didn’t happen last week. Please ignore my very VERY massive amounts of specialness. And the fact I still don’t have any idea what time period is taking place in. I like the fail train.

Shugo Chara Doki Episode 74

Photobucket

Amu's dad favorite episode.

Amu happily wakes up and greets Ikuto warmly. Then she freaks out…and scares herself that she is getting use to this scenario. Amu tells Ikuto to sleep on the floor but he protests that he is sick. He also points out that she is the one who brought him home so she needs to take care of him! Amu flashes back to find Ikuto collapsed in the park/greenhouse/wherever he was. Amu manages to pick up the much bigger teenage and get him to her house (after asking what was wrong with him…like she didn’t know already or anything). Downstairs it is the end of the world as Ami doesn’t want to eat green peppers. Amu quickly eats…and tries to take food upstairs. Her mother questions her but Amu flees before her mother can get any real information out of her. The eating of the banana is very dramatic and ends with Ikuto telling Amu she is fat. Lovely. Elsewhere Tadase is getting his White Day gift ready for Amu and talking about how he has a mountain of chocolate to eat still. My heart bleeds for him. Ikuto is reading a manga and that apparently pisses Amu off as she keeps screaming at him. Amu ends up also screaming into the phone when Yaya calls. After apologizing, Amu tells Yaya as much as she wants to go on shopping today..she can’t and hangs up. Tadase gets caught by Nagihiko on his way to Amu’s house. Nagihiko teases Tadase for a little bit but watches him run off towards Amu…and randomly holds a white flower. Amu and Ikuto almost get caught when Ami breaks into the room…but she just wants to molest Yoru for a little bit. Oh and also there is a boy in the house and their dad is going insane. It’s Tadase and his crazy sparkly self to see Amu.

Photobucket

The sparkles! They blind me!

Amu freaks out, runs upstairs, and tosses Ikuto in a closet. She threatens him and slams the door shut. Finally Tadase comes upstairs…and it is boring. Just randomly sitting there and being nervous. Then Tadase starts the longest confession on the face of the planet! There are plenty of flashbacks, from the time he turned her down to the time that he said he was in love with Amulet Heart. Amu nervously laughs and says she has forgiven all that stuff. Ikuto learns that he ate Tadase chocolates (HA!) and Tadase says that he now realizes that Amu and Amulet Heart are the same person (duh stupid…).Finally, after forever Tadase asks for permission to fall in love with Amu. Insert blushy faces and Amu saying that she gives him permission. Oh and Ikuto hears ALL OF THIS! Awesome. After Tadase leaves Amu melts a little bit and is stressed from the day. She tries to have a girly MOG he likes me moment…but Ikuto mocks Tadase’s lame confession. Amu tries to defend Tadase and tell Ikuto to get on the floor. Ikuto responds in holding her close and calling her a little kid. She flings him off the bed and commands the lights be turned off. She wakes up later and finds Ikuto in her bed. They wrestle around a little bit and fan girls all over the world rejoice. Amu kicks him out of bed…but tries to make it nice by asking about Ikuto parents and his violin. Ikuto doesn’t want to talk about his past and Amu feels bad about being hard on him. But she still thinks he is a little kid despite always calling her one. Ikuto gets next to Amu in bed and taunts Tadase again with his confession. Amu asks if Ikuto loves anyone and he says that he loves her. Insert shock Amu face here! Amu promptly smashes him in the head and says she hates liars. Ikuto pretends to be hurt that she doesn’t believe him…but cuddles in his blanket and tells her to grow up fast. They go to bed with Tadase’s radioactive cookies watching over them.

Photobucket

A love triangle....with radioactive cookies.

Apparently this is the episode all fan girls have been waiting for. Not the entire episode mind you, just the last 4 minute part XD

Photobucket

And maybe the first two minutes too...

Amu…made me mad several times during this episode. She was treating Ikuto really rude. I mean, he did cross a line when he called her fat and said she was warm like a little kid..but she was already rude to him before. He is SICK and part of the reason he got that bad was…Amu’s fault. Had she not thrown him out before he might be a little better off. She can show a lot of compassion to strangers so why can’t she be nice to Ikuto, someone she knows?

Photobucket

Why so angry?!

Maybe I am being a little too hard on Amu. She is a 12 year old with immature little feelings. But…I think she was rough on him. I mean, she was getting pissed at him TURNING PAGES?! Does she need complete silence to study? I thought he was being reasonable quiet and Amu was jumping all over him for no reason. More love next time Amu.

Photobucket

Get more pillows!

Photobucket

How can you be so mean to him?!

I think that Ikuto was being snarky with Amu to feel better about himself. I am sure as a 17 year old guy a bit of his man pride was hurt by being rescued by a girl. A girl he likes. A girl he likes and was just confessed to by his sworn blood enemy. The fat comment was not really nice…but I would hope that if I was starving someone would bring me more than ONE BANANA!

Photobucket

It would have been better with potato chips.

Photobucket

And then...I EAT IT!

I did feel bad for Ikuto listening to the longest and stupidest confession on the face of the planet. Granted he had nowhere else to go and it was no one’s fault…it was just a sucky situation. He had plenty of time to be the first one to confess but he was too busy…feeling bad that he was that much older than her? Whatever the case may be…I feel bad for him. :( No one really deserves to have their heart broken like that.

Photobucket

Although....reading this mangas would prepare him for this situation.

But true Ikuto style he bounces back pretty fast. He has to use Tadase as a stepping stone…but he manages to confess to Amu as well and in a timelier manner. His confession doesn’t go over quite as well but that is to be expected due to Amu and Ikuto’s relationship.

Photobucket

Such an honest and quick answer!

Photobucket

And just as quickly...he is turned down.

The cutest part of the whole episode was Ikuto curling up in a little ball at the end of the bed. It was almost like he had blushy face on and he had to hide that from Amu. That or he is embarrassed he does love a 12 year old thus the grow up faster part. Still, I thought it was super cute. I just wish Amu knew one way or another about the guys. Granted if you can’t PICK which guy you are in love with chances are you aren’t really in love but I digress.

Photobucket

Giant AWWWW!

So if I didn’t hate Tadase before this episode…I have plenty of ammo now. I mean…I guess some people like how shy Tadase is and how nervous he was with his confession and what not…but I am not one of those people. I am not asking him to be a manly man or something truly out of his character…but COME ON!

Photobucket

Clearly I am missing something.

Does it really take 15 hours to confess to someone? Or rather…ask permission to fall in love with someone? GAG ME PLEASE! Asking permission? No, after all that song and dance I want results. You ask her out or whatever 12 year olds do and brace for the worse. Not this safe let me fall in love with you so I don’t have to face the possibility of being turned down.

Photobucket

It is finally over?

And Tadase is supposed to be in charge of the Guardians right? So why is he so stupid? Did it really take him 74 episodes to realized that Amulet Heart and Amu were the same person?! REALLY?! That long?! Amu wasn’t wonderful enough on her own to like her, you just realized that she is Amulet Heart? Give me a break.

Photobucket

Such a dumbass!

I just wish Amu would PICK! I am tired of her mooning over this Tadase guy. I want her to realize she was just going by how he looked and she really didn’t know him. That a crush does not equal true love. That a relationship with Tadase would be pretty boring. Massively boring.

Photobucket

Pick Ikuto before he dies!

Nagihiko got a whole 5 seconds of screen time. But since he teased Tadase it’s okay. Someone has to tease Tadase to his face and I am glad it was Nagihiko.

Photobucket

Random flower is random.

I actually felt SORRY for Yaya today. X_X That almost never happens. But yeah…she didn’t deserve to be yelled at or stood up. I mean, Ikuto has hid in the closet before. He didn’t need to be babysat like that.

Photobucket

But I still hate you.

It might sound like I am criticizing this episode a lot and that was not my intent. I just think that Amu could have been a little nicer to Ikuto. She did try at the end to make a better connection so that slightly makes up for it. And since Ikuto is going to be in Amu’s room for the next couple of episode she will have a chance to further redeem herself. Just no more Tadase please!

Photobucket

YAY FOR MOCKING TADASE!

To Aru Majesty no Index Episode 23

Photobucket

Touma:Giving out grand advice since 2008.

Hyōka looks on in awe that she is not splattered all over the ground. Touma tells Hyōka to stop crying over minor things like maybe not being human, being called a monster, and being chased by a rock monster. Touma touches the monster and he falls into pieces. Sherry doesn’t really panic and creates a new one in 5 seconds. Suddenly Aiho and her Antikill people arrive with their guns. Touma tells Hyōka not to be shocked that people care about her existence. Touma breaks out with the awesome words of wisdom and rambling speech and Hyōka is in AWE! Aiho and her men start shooting at the monster while Sherry activates a protection spell. Aiho tells Touma his plan is made of fail but Touma is still going to go through with it. Hyōka begs him not to, but Touma says it doesn’t matter that she isn’t human he will protect her anyway. Then he runs face on into the monster. He gets flung about a few times, but he finally makes it to Sherry and slugs her good. Sherry decides that it is time to run and collapses the floor. Touma is less than thrilled. He then realizes that Sherry has gone off to kill Index and panics. Outside Index and Misaka are waiting for Touma in the heat. Misaka is being all jealous of Index and still wants to know their relationship. Index is a little worried about leaving Touma with Hyōka and not…that he might be in danger. Because she knows that Touma will always be okay so that’s not the issue. The cat runs away and Index runs after it alone, as Misaka scares cats away or something.

Photobucket

She writes REALLY fast.

Touma is pissed off that Aiho won’t open up the underground street so he can leave. She states that she can’t but he doesn’t care. He is more concerned with Index. Hyōka then goes on and on about being a monster and how Touma should use her as bait, as that is the only thing she could be helpful with. Touma tells her she is not a monster and she will not put herself in danger. So naturally she jumps down the hole and chases after Sherry. We then learn that Hyōka was aware that she wasn’t a human being as she lived in a different plane of existence and could only observe our world. Only after she came into contact with Index did she reach the real world. Hyōka vows to protect her friend that she has known all of 3 hours. Index has found her cat…and so has the golem monster. Index does a weird eye twitch thing and finds out what spell the golem is being created with. She realizes that the way the spell is being performed has a flaw and she can override certain movements of the monster. She isn’t performing magic herself, just manipulating it. She does a pretty good job on not being smushed and tries using her clothes pins to somehow disable the monster. But Sherry (whereever she is) changes how she is performing the spell, making Index’s tactic useless. Index is about to be smashed…but apparently Hyōka throws herself in front of the blow. The end!

Photobucket

YAY FOR SPARKLES!

XD This arc is lasting a lot longer than I thought it would. And surprisingly I am not upset about it (not really a fan of girls with HUGE BOOBIES OF DOOM). YAY FOR ME!
I thought Hyōka’s past was going to be different. I was assuming that Hyōka didn’t know she wasn’t human. But since every time I assume I am wrong…it should really not come as a surprise to me. But with Aisa talking about hearing about her and Komoe mentioning that Hyōka probably wouldn’t know about who she was…yeah. I was wrong.

Photobucket

For real!

And a little bit confused. I mean….so Hyōka lived in an entire AIM world? Or since
she is made of AIM the world looked different to her? I am not sure if she was changing people permanently or just how she saw them was different. It confused me a little bit. But I tend to be confused when I watched this show. I guess the most important part of her back story was she couldn’t communicate with the real world and that she knew she was special.

Photobucket

Confusing concepts are confusing.

Photobucket

And POOF! She is real!

Which begs the question why she freaked out so bad when she was called a monster. Granted being called a monster is never a nice thing…but she had to know she wasn’t a normal human right? So why the whole I am a monster I can be bait thing? But at least I know why she acted like a nervous little crack head for the three hours of her existence and why she was so awkward. Just stop freaking out for no reason random anime girls.

Photobucket

Apparently not human=monster?

Ah Touma. It is good to have you back. It’s been a while since you have had such an epic speech and this one was pretty epic. The entire world wanted to save her? Don’t doubt your existence? You are my true friend despite us knowing each other for mere hours? Yeah he was laying it on pretty think in this episode. Actually this might have been his most epic speech to date. Thank you Touma for reminding me how special you can be in the face of danger.

Photobucket

Meanwhile the rock monster steps on all of them.

Sherry is kinda boring me. I hope that Touma breaks her fingers or something very simple and she is powerless. XD Because her power is pretty amusing to me, how easily it can be taken away. That and she FLEW when Touma punched her. Pretty awesome XD Yes I am a bad person!

Everyone flies so far when he punches them x_X

MOG INDEX DEFENDED HERSELF! One could even stretch it to say Index participated in battle. For the first time.. Index was able to do something for herself. Granted it did not last that long…but she still was able to do more than cower in the corner or pass out and wait to be rescued. I am extremely happy and love how Index was acting so confident with her ability! YAY FOR THE MAIN CHARACTER ACTUALLY DOING SOMETHING!

Photobucket

Look, Index is being awesome!

HEARING THE INDEX!

Misaka….have you always been this special? I don’t think you have been but I am amused. I laugh at the fact you are jealous over someone who looks 12. Well…when you say it like that it does sound pretty bad. XD Losing to pedo material must feel harsh. I hope that next episode Misaka helps out and protects Index…then regrets it later. XD

Photobucket

Jealous faces are always so awesome.

This episode was pretty interesting. A little bit of action, some epic speeches, and people thinking that guns work against magic rock monsters. Touma’s harem is slowing meeting each other and jealous feelings are beginning to surface. It looks like next week is going to get a little more complicated with tube man getting involved. XD Hopefully I can follow what the heck is going on since a lot of this stuff is going over my head.

MMMM brains!

Kyoko is sitting outside depressed. She hasn’t been fired from her job (yet) as Ren convinced Iizuka that they don’t have TIME to find a new actress and to give Kyoko a chance to get things right. Instead of being happy that Ren believes in her, Kyoko thinks Ren is picking on her somehow. Yashiro tries to tell Kyoko that Ren really believes in her and things will be okay…and even that Ren is in LOVE with her. But Kyoko is too deep in her special Kyoko thoughts to hear him. Kyoko is upset because Ren knows WHY Mio hates Mizuki and is upset that Ren won’t tell her (even though Yashiro points out Ren wants her to figure it out for herself). Kyoko thinks about it for a little bit, that Mio and Mizuki both grew up in crappy situations so shouldn’t Mio actually LIKE Mizuki? But then Kyoko realizes that Mio is jealous that despite having her parents become cliff pancakes…Mizuki can still smile and become a bright happy girl. But then she thinks about how Mio’s personality has conflicting point of views….Yashiro returns to the set to tell everyone that Kyoko had a brilliant idea…and then ran away. Iizuka scoffs saying that she needs to be fired NOW for leaving the job and she isn’t professional at all. Ogata starts having doubts, even though Ren defends Kyoko’s actions and tells him to give her another chance.

Meanwhile Kyoko has made it to the place where she wants to be. She starts getting nervous about how upset Ren is going to be at her..but she has to move on! But she bumps into some jerks who are upset she is just standing there. They threaten to rip off her panties and throw her in a bush. They walk into the hair salon…and Kyoko gets back in their faces, full Mio mode. There are some extras gossiping about Kyoko…as she walks by and freaks everyone out. Kyoko sits in a chair and starts reading the script….with her awesome shirt hair cut. Everyone is X_X. Ren goes to see if Kyoko is okay….and she pushes him away with her script. Everyone thinks that since Kyoko cut her hair Mio won’t be able to be portrayed properly. Iizuka wants to give her another test so Kyoko can fail and Iizuka can laugh at her pain. Again Ren tells Ogata to give Kyoko a chance to show her skills. Kyoko and Iizuka start the scene and Kyoko basically ignores the woman. But as it progresses Kyoko manages to show off how angry she is at her mother but still acting like a victim. But Kyoko’s Mio has decided to use her scar as a weapon instead of an insecurity. Because a rich family should afford to take care of her scar…so Mio must WANT to keep it as a reminder that her sister is an evil crazy person. Ogata is struck down in fear because of her acting and nearly collapses. He starts saying that he can’t use that Mio….until he saw her act it out. He realized that he wants to make a Dark Moon that surpasses the old one. He can’t just copy his father’s version…so it is obviously the characters have to change a little. A new Mio is born!

YAY FOR KYOKO AND HER AWESOME HAIR CUT! XD Ever since I read it in the mangas I have been waiting for this day. That is 30 whole days people…truly I have suffered!

Photobucket

Kyoko is beyond awesome now!

But before she got her awesome haircut…she had to go through some obstacles. Because nothing in Kyoko’s life is that simple. She nearly drove herself crazy trying to think of Ren’s words. Personally I blame Ren. Had he been nice to her before she would not doubt his good intentions. IT IS ALL YOUR FAULT REN!

Photobucket

Everyone should expect the best from her!

However…I laugh at her misery. But only because her misery is so amusing. Had she really been crying or visibly upset I wouldn’t laugh. But since she is so amusing and probably isn’t that distressed I am okay with finding humor in the situation.

MOG?! BEGONE EVIL PAST!

Why did Yashiro tell Kyoko Ren loved her?! WHY?! I mean, maybe I missed that part in the manga, but I thought he just mumbled those kind of things to himself. He isn’t meant to tell her straight out. IT IS WAY TOO EARLY! I mean, it’s okay since Kyoko didn’t hear him…but it was still upsetting. I much rather him just sit there and be sad that he was being ignored. Or greatly IMPLY that Ren loved Kyoko. But none of this straight out telling Kyoko what is going on.

Photobucket

Mio does not approve.

But despite me hating Ren…he did help Kyoko out. Even though it was indirect it forced her to think a little differently about how to see her character. And part of me thinks that was really the job of the director, to explain WHY a character is the way she is. An actress’s job is to decide the best way to convey those emotions.

Photobucket

He always picks on you!

Not that I am saying that Kyoko’s version wasn’t awesome. It just wasn’t faithful. And on other jobs she might get fired for going out of the box that far. But it really isn’t Kyoko’s fault that Mio was a poorly crafted character who only had TWO characteristics and MOG everything had to revolve around those TWO characteristics. Saying that….I guess that Iizuka’s version really was sucky since she didn’t question some OBVIOUS flaws in the character (like why a rich girl would keep a scar like that when there was money to fix the “problem”).

Photobucket

Next time don't leave work!

So putting aside the fact that Kyoko shouldn’t have been responsible for creating the basics for a character or she should have gone so far from the original material…YAY HAIRCUT! It makes her look so much more edgy and awesome. And it is a little ironic that she dyed her hair to make it in the industry and now she dyed it back for her first major role.

Photobucket

Made of WIN!

I am glad that Iizuka got a mouthful of crow. That is what you get lady for putting so much pressure on a newbie. How the hell is anyone supposed to get better at their job when you are always screaming at them? I mean…at least in Ren’s own special way he TRIES to nurture and teach Kyoko. There won’t be a new generation of actors and actresses if you are too busy screaming at them!

Photobucket

Bitch got TOLD!

Ren…sometimes you just know when I am bashing you hard. Then the next week you have to try to redeem yourself. I am on to your little game. But I must say…you really do believe in Kyoko. SINCE YOU ARE IN LOVE WITH HER. Seriously…you are being a good friend. You realize that you have to put a little faith in people and give them words of encouragement. You saved Kyoko countless times in this episode. Since you were so nice…I might be nice to you in the next episode when you suck.

Photobucket

He has more work to do...clearly.

Ogata is a special little man. And his voice really changed this episode. But I am glad that he didn’t give in to people saying Kyoko should be fired. Even if he doubted her too. Although he should have realized before had the characters would have to be a little bit different from 20 years ago. But yay for him not yelling at Kyoko for getting her hair cut.

Photobucket

And I do mean special....

:( This series is slowly winding down and there won’t be enough time to give it a proper ending. So…that means there is going to be a second season right?! Oh…I didn’t mention Sho in this episode? UM…SUCK IT SHO! XD
