Nagi no Asukara episode 21

I just watched The Little Mermaid 2 as part of Cheer Tenchi Up Weekend By Making Everything Disney. Um...yeah that was the biggest mistake ever. The poor children of the world. Parents see a familiar name and by the product and are stuck with this crud. Who approved this hot mess?! I am shocked Disney put their name behind this money grubbing product.

That ain't a good thing.

While I try to recover from this hot mess and eat my dinner have another long awaited anime post. Up now is Nagi no Asukara episode 21. Spoilers for Manaka....being more Manaka than usual.

A slave to love...and his sister.

Episode Summary: The first few minutes of the last episode are replayed. Miuna saying Hikari should kiss Manaka and Hikari freaking out. Manaka slowly opens her eyes and yells at Hikari for yelling at girls. Fast Forward to the next day and Manaka and Hikari are going out. Manaka seems super energetic but Akari is like Hikari you watch her and Manaka don't let him push you too hard. The little boy wants to go too but Akari reigns her son in. Hikari seems to be in awe that Manaka has so much energy yet is worried about her. Chisaki and Kaname go to the only store in town where their friend gives them 5 treats in honor of Manaka waking up. Yay for everyone being awake. They wait for Manaka and Hikari and soon Manaka comes running up like she has drunk 3 Redbulls. The first thing out of her mouth is to talk about how cold it is and everyone basically laughs at silly Manaka. Chisaki informs Manaka that Tsumugu isn't coming today but Manaka doesn't mind as she leads her friends in a certain direction. Miuna and Sayu are having a pout near the little waterhole Tsumugu made for the other kids. Miuna's ena is all weird and she needs to soak it. Miuna states the other kids told her this would happen but......Sayu sees Miuna being sad panda and thinks that Miuna should have gone with them. Miuna has decided on her own that she doesn't have the right so Sayu is all you aren't happy that Manaka woke up are you? Miuna slowly explains her feelings, that she is happy but.....so Sayu starts a water fight to break the tension. Manaka leads her to the peer so she can look at all the frozenness better. Manaka starts to get deep, thinking about all that has changed.....but then she just points out all the snowflakes. Hikari sorta mothers all over her which makes Manaka happy that Hikari is being nice to her. Kaname and Hikari watch Manaka play in the snow, talking about how this was an anticlimactic end to Manaka waking up. They also briefly talk about how they reached to waking up with gives Hikari the feels at remembering. They then talk more about Manaka, that she can be so happy despite...well everything. Hikari says when Manaka first woke up she tried to explain a voice she was hearing, that someone wanted her to do something, give them something......They all make their way to the school where Manaka continues to act like the happiest person ever despite not having ena anymore. They decide Manaka is just Manaka and Hikari goes to be a silly person with her.

:( Where do we belong?!

Kaname discovers that Sayu and Miuna were hiding on the roof and Sayu is like no we were studying for exams like you should be!!! Sayu explains to Manaka what they are studying in school where Chisaki gets upset as she has already learned that. She decides now it is a good time to visit Gramps so she leaves the treats and the junior high behind. With Chisaki gone there are enough treats for all the same age kids. Chisaki goes to the hospital around the same time Tsumugu arrives. He remembers how upset Hikari was when he first woke up thus he hasn't seen Manaka yet. They make some small talk then go to the lunch room to eat snacks I think they brought for Gramps. Or maybe snacks Gramps got for Tsumugu. Tsumugu informs Chisaki at the end of the month he has to go back to campus. During their walk home Tsumugu keeps going on and on about it, how he is sorry he has to go and he will be close by. Chisaki asks jokingly if he will be lonely but Tsumugu says he will be worried about her. Chisaki tries to change the subject, saying that Tsumugu needs to focus on understanding what is going on. Yes her moment of clarity. Get to it Tsumugu, fix everything. They walk home and think if they can brib Uroko with porno. The second they open the door they see Colleague standing there on the phone saying oh good they are there. The next seen shows Akari making a table for tons of people. Apparently Chisaki and Tsumugu just canceled, saying something was wrong with Gramps. Manaka decides it is because they are busy. The subject gets changed to studying and entrance exams and how Hikari never studies. Sayu gets a little bit of praise for being the top of the class so she is all blushy. The little boy slips hot soup on himself and there is some drama about him being taken care of. This seemingly meaningless scene ends with the little boy being okay. Manaka is very worried for the little boy and Hikari is overwhelmed that Manaka looks so lovely. He pulls her aside and asks what she was going to tell him after the Boat Ceremony. Manaka claims she has no idea what is he is talking about. The next morning Tsumugu runs to Akari's house and wakes everyone up to show them the fishy on his arm. Hikari is like so Uroko cursed you so that means he is nearby....great news! THE END!

FEEL THE HAPPY!

Oh look Manaka is up. Time for rainbows and unicorns and happy thoughts. Why let all these sad thoughts and facts get you down? THERE IS SNOW!!!!! Smile for life is good. Happy, happy, happy!!! Oh Manaka.....

Stop being serious

I say all of this but....how do I really feel? I guess it just depends if this is genuine or not? Since Manaka hasn't been around for a while I guess I can repeat my feelings on the girl. She is a bit much at times. Chisaki is a bit much in a self pity party kinda way. Manaka is just way to HEHEHEHE smiles and life is good when truly it might not be that way. I am all for looking on the bright side of life but to overlook the facts and seriousness of the situation is a bit....I don't know...almost disrespectful? Kaname and Hikari touched on it later. Not that they were upset about it. Mainly because Manaka is Manaka and they know how she rolls. Just that a lot of time and effort went into worrying about Manaka and trying to wake up her and protect her feelings and she is lalalaing all over the place with snow like nothing else happened.

Wait...what? No rush to see Tsumugu?!

Because deep down Manaka can't really feel this way right? She has to feel upset about something. Her family is still asleep, she lost her ena, Chisaki is older than her now, she “lost” 5 years of her life, and the world is still in danger of freezing over. I know this event isn't going to happen for a while but it is still going to happen one day right? That this snow represents something bad with the Earth. It is not some fluffy fun you can throw around. This is serious business. And hello you have been kicked out of the ocean!!! No more being a sea girl for you...unless things can magically turn around. So if Manaka is really that...happy all the time I might stab my eyes out. XD I am all for positive people in a sea of negativity but to ignore the gravity of the situation is annoying. If Manaka is crying herself to sleep at night or will have a breakdown later then this will all be acceptable. That she is forcing herself to be happy so she doesn't have to face the real situation.

Wait what?! When did this happen?!

As usual all three of the other sea kids took care of Manaka. Like always. Maybe when Manaka isn't around Chisaki feels more responsible. That she just had a 5 year lapse in maturity...that I haven't seen much of. I get the feeling that happens a lot, wanting to watch over and take care of Manaka in that group of friends. Hikari was concerned, bringing logic and facts into the conversations. When Manaka isn't listening of course. What will happen now, how will this affect us all? Kaname rounds up the rest of the group supporting all three of them when they need it. Always the anchor I suppose. Kaname was afraid when he woke up, wonders what will happen with Manaka, and how this will all affect their future.

Take Chisaki out and add in Sayu and Miuna. That seems to be 5.....

So where to Miuna and Sayu fit in this situation? They are the same age as three of the sea kids now but they haven't really...you know....I don't want to say earn their spot but yeah I guess earned is the best word. Just because they are the same age doesn't mean they are instant friends. These other kids have a lot of history. So just because Chisaki is leaving them all the treats for the FIVE of them, walking away from the junior high all dramatic as to leave her life behind, doesn't mean this is how it will work out. Even if it naturally works out that way. Chisaki and Tsumugu are like the older cousins now. Everyone else is talking about similar things in school and all Chisaki can do is sit there and listen. Symbolically hand over the treats as she and Tsumugu have grown-up things to do.

Who cares about Gramps when we got treats here!

While everyone else is playing with Manaka in the snow and pretending everything is happy times Chisaki goes to see Tsumugu's Gramps. Because that is all the family she has now. Tsumugu arrived at the same time. Me thinks this man might not make it. :( He is rather old. I wonder if he will be able to give up his ena for Manaka.....Anyway I glad that Tsumugu explained why he wasn't there for Manaka. Because you know...I am a bit tired of people not being there when others wake up. They are supposed to be friends. But since Hikari freaked out on him about change I can see why Tsumugu stayed away. I guess I was more surprised that Manaka wasn't upset that Tsumugu didn't come and see her. I guess that cements what she was going to tell Tsumugu that night, that she was going to pick Hikari. Which I think is crap since Tsumugu caught her in the net again and that brought back feelings and I think Manaka was a dramatic Disney Princess and fell in love at first sight and only liked Hikari because he liked her. Yet she wakes up and is like oh Tsumugu is busy. Almost like she doesn't want to visit him because out of sight, out of mind works for her. These are my main people, Tsumugu is an adult. Or Manaka is lying about all her feelings.

Nor do we care. We got relationships to worry about here.

Anyway this is about Chisaki and Tsumugu. In case you couldn't tell. Instead of actually spending time with Gramps (who was sleeping anyway) Chisaki and Tsumugu talked. And had pudding. So.....yeah. Apparently this was Tsumugu's way of confessing to Chisaki. Did you miss it folks? Maybe Chisaki picked up on it since she knows him better and lives with him. But for me I just laughed at his super subtle way of saying he was going to miss her and was worried that she was going to leave him for one of the woke up kids. This is Tsumugu's way of confessing so when things go wrong he can say um I tried. Didn't you get the memo? Why don't you care about me? The thing is Chisaki might just see him as a family member now. It might be too late for a romantic situation for them even if it is the most obvious one. Of course given how fast emotions change in this series she could just....poof in love with him.

Stop making things complicated!

For a brief moment Chisaki had some.....well serious moments. Brought it back home. Like okay Tsumugu you are going to miss me but lets not pretend there is anything romantic going on because I am not ready to deal with that. Lets talk about why you aren't going to be here. Because you have something important to do at school. You and your Colleague are trying to figure out what is going on despite neither one of you being from the sea and not really being able to fix this situation with science because it is all magical. But we aren't talking about that, we are talking about how Tsumugu has cared enough to try to help...even if it was mainly to wake the kids up and saving the world was secondary. Yes Chisaki remind everyone of what is really important here!!!

Manaka having memory issues isn't a big deal. Spilling soup is though.

While Chisaki and Tsumugu had to deal with a crisis (that...isn't explained the next day) the rest of the main characters have dinner together. Just one big happy family talking about normal things, like school and Hikari not doing his homework. I like how Sayu and Kaname are sorta coming together in a natural way, not with her doing anything outrageous or her crying all over the place. That they might come together on their own and it might not feel like a second choice. During this dinner the little boy split soup on himself and it became something serious. I am not sure if it was to make Manaka seem perfect in Hikari's eyes or if something was foreshadowed. It was weird. Like really weird for a minute. But quickly that was forgotten because Hikari has to ask Manaka what she was going to tell him the night after the Boat Festival. Of course she has forgotten and that makes Hikari frustrated. The boat ceremony was just yesterday to Manaka and she can't remember?! Is this real life?! She only remembers some voice asking her for something. The sea god asked for her ena? Poor Hikari...all he wants is answers...

Err...what does this mean?!

The episode ends with all the main characters being woken up to Tsumugu being frantic. Well not Chisaki because clearly she has been reassigned to second cousin position in this family. But yes folks. Was there really an emergency with Gramps or something more? Because the Uroko fairy has visited Tsumugu and left behind a present. A fish curse!!! XO Why has this happened? Hikari takes this as a good sign because Uroko is nearby. You know...because the ocean isn't 3 feet from town. Hikari is still yay we can find him and beat some answers out of him. Everyone else acts like Tsumugu has cooties. Me on the other hand....I was worried for Hikari. Manaka and Tsumugu bonded over this fishy thing. Is this going to stir feelings up inside of her? Like oh now we can bond over this and I am not over you? Not that it matters as Tsumugu likes Chisaki. Still feelings are feelings. Does that mean Tsumugu has ena now? Was he close to the scientific truth for this magical matter? I guess we will find out next time. Or you know..whenever I get around to it. XD See ya later.!

Nagi no Asukara episode 20

Somehow....what? Oh that dreamer.

I watched these episodes I am about to post like three weeks ago! I am so behind on everything. Need to get myself out of this funk and get back on track. So what is up first? I need to brush the dust off these posts and see. Oh Nagi no Asukara episode 20. I see. Spoilers for fairy tales and Miuna thinking impure thoughts.

Oh Kaname. I wish you could always be the sensible one.

Episode Summary: Miuna watches over Manaka who is still asleep after being out of the ocean for one week. Hikari is like there is no reason to worry, things will be okay. The second class is over Hikari is like hurry Kaname, lets do our chores so we can jump in the ocean, find Uroko, and beat the truth out of him about Manaka's condition. Sayu is surprised that Hikari is so upbeat about everything as Miuna watches on. Hikari and Kaname resurface after another round of looking for Uroko. Kaname notes that things have gotten colder since they took Manaka from the water and Hikari refuses to consider that possibility. H wants to go back in the water right away while Kaname worries Hikari is working too hard. They look and see Chisaki's stuff nearby and wonder where she is. She appears at a different ice hole having a Baywatch moment and the boys blush. Miuna and Sayu walk home from school. Sayu wonders if they breech the circle of the sea kids, since they are the same age. Miuna decides that they need to help the kids wake Miuna up and they decide music might be the key. Chisaki and the boys emerge from the sea, saying they will venture out further tomorrow. The going home song starts playing, the one that was changed to match the Boat ceremony thingy. Hikari then has a great idea. He goes to The Husband AKA the Former Boyfriend to ask for a favor. He wants to gather up all those who sang at the ceremony and maybe Manaka will wake up, remembering the day. The Husband points out that a lot of those people moved away but he will try. Chisaki and Kaname make their way home and Tsumugu decides at that moment to leave with his Colleague. The Colleague notes how complicated everything seems here while Tsumugu brushes it off. Miuna is worried about Hikari being home so late but Akari is like he will be fine.

Creepy nightmares are creepy....

Miuna pretends to be doing her homework but she is working on something for Manaka via music. That is when Akari talks about Hikari's idea for the music with makes Miuna all sad panda. Hikari finally comes home and Miuna is like yay lets spend time together I mean do homework. Hikari agrees then comments there is never enough time to do all the things that need to be done. He thinks taking a break from school would be a great idea which makes Miuna upset as that is something she and Hikari share. She tries to use Akari as an excuse but is like hello what if Manaka never wakes up? Hikari gets enraged and stomps to his room while Miuna feels beyond guilty. Hikari has a nightmare about Manaka telling him he wrecked everything by taking her out of the ocean, that she was okay with being there to save everyone. He wakes up startled but ends up going to school. He sleeps through most of class and Miuna feels guilty. After school she and Sayu go to the library to research things for Manaka. Sayu apparently has given up and gone for fairy tales. But she points out to Miuna that in these stories a kiss from a true love breaks the spell and everyone can see how Hikari feels about Manaka. Miuna is like um and tries to list why this is all a bad idea. Sayu is like...do you even want Manaka to wake up? The scene switches to Hikari playing the song for Manaka with no effect. His little nephew comes in and they accidentally mess with the tape recording as they play with each other. Later that night Miuna emerges from her bathroom rituals feeling guilty from not wanting Manaka back hard enough. Hikari thinks that Miuna is Manaka and collapses from exhaustion. He stays home from school the next day and Miuna plays sick so she can stay home too. Akari sees through her lies but allows it. Sayu informs Kaname of the two sickies and hopes that Kaname won't be next since he keeps diving into the water that's freezing too. Kaname says he is fine and decides to help Sayu take notes when she reveals she is trying to help Manaka too. The second that Akari and her son leave the house Miuna rushes out to play nurse to Hikari. Oh and Manaka too. She accidentally plays the song that Hikari and her brother rerecorded over. She hears the desperation in Hikari's voice and knows he will work beyond hard to wake her up. Tsumugu calls Miuna and explains that some rare event caused Miuna's survival instinct kicked in and caused her ena to grow. These words cause Miuna to cry and instead of bringing Miuna in for research Tsumugu goes to her. While this is happening Hikari wakes up to Akari taking care of him and lecturing him to care about the people who are still here and supporting him and Manaka. Miuna makes it to the meeting with Tsumugu and they end up talking about how the people from the sea have such strong emotions and how they can't be like them. Miuna thought having ena would make her like Hikari but instead she doubts her wanting Manaka to wake up. Tsumugu confesses he also had doubts about everyone waking up, that it would ruin things with him and Chisaki. Tsumugu decides that in the end Miuna and him are good people and will be/are happy they are waking up. Miuna returns home and finds Hikari with Manaka. She takes a deep breath and tells Hikari the kiss scenario that could wake Manaka up. Hikari freaks out and starts yelling when Manaka says stop yelling at girls. Wait Manaka? THE END!

Newsflash: Everyone is complicated!

So I think at this point Hikari should just move away. Maybe take Teach and The Husband with him. This is such a dysfunctional group. It's almost incest like and yet....almost all these people I want to stab for being martyr AND they are all starting to say some messed up shit. I didn't think it was possible for so many characters to be different sides of the same coin at once.

Everyone sucks but Hikari. We get this.

Hikari just seems to be super genuine though. The only one who actually has no hatred in his heart. Or maybe I should say he is honest. Of course I do like that people aren't....pushovers. You know, oh their happiness is more important than mine. That they will maybe make their point know and try. Maybe. Then cry about it some more. Everyone else seems to be under the school of thought of confessing to moving on with their life....then not moving on. Hikari on the other hand was never really going to confess. He was going to bring Tsumugu and Manaka together and watch them be happy. I truly feel that Hikari would have actually been happy with Manaka being happy while the others would say that and then drown their tears in Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I really believe Hikari is focused on bringing Manaka back for Manaka. Not so he can be with her. Not so he can make other people happy. Because Manaka should be awake for her, not to solve problems or be another notch on this love orgy, so people can move on.

NOOOO! I said no!!!!!

I did almost jab my eyes out when Kaname and Hikari were looking at Chisaki all little horny boy like. I almost forgot to roll my eyes at the notion of Chisaki actually helping for once. Kaname I guess can stare. But not Hikari. He needs to keep his little eyes and all this hormones inside his tiny body because hello this chart is big enough as it is. We can't have two people actually liking the same person who likes them back. That would be insane. So Chisaki....no more Bay Watch moments okay?!

Err......Miuna was just trying to help....

So while Hikari is busy trying to kill himself in the freezing waters. Miuna is taking the time to feel bad for herself. I guess if Hikari had room when he was leaving he could maybe take Sayu who almost seems reasonable. Sometimes anyway. Maybe she is just flat out brutally honest at unnecessary times. Like...I am sure Miuna didn't need to have it pointed out that Hikari was totally devoted to finding Manaka. Seems obvious. It just gave Miuna something to pout about when she thought it was homework time with Miuna and instead it was finding Manaka time. Or finding Manaka a cure time I should say. You know, which will in fact help the whole world because of that ice problem....Thanks Sayu. We totally needed a sad Miuna panda. You lose your seat on the bus now.

These are things to consider Hikari....

Now with that all said....Miuna did make good points. Curse this show having people be right and wrong. Having multiple sides of their personality. Except Chisaki since I hate her so much. But yes Miuna....even though she is trying to get Hikari to spend time with her and might be a tiny bit selfish for saying what she did....I can't really blame her. Hikari is very dedicated to saving Manaka. However as Chisaki and Tsumugu have demonstrated life does move on. Just like when people die. So Hikari will move on in life if Manaka doesn't wake up or takes a while to wake up. He serves to take care of himself. Have a little joy. Take care of himself. I don't think he would want to rely on his sister forever. You can't get paid to look for a cure for Manaka. So dropping out or taking a break from junior high is not an option. Miuna was right to say what she said. She wasn't harsh, just said the reality of the situation that everyone is thinking. Hikari didn't want to hear it and stomped off, leaving Miuna to feel guilty about being honest and realistic about the situation.

This seems to be the bigger issue here...

The fallout over Hikari and Miuna's situations took two different paths. Hikari had a creepy nightmare about Manaka falling to pieces and blaming him for bring about more problems for the land and sea. Since dreams might be part of your subconscious that makes me sad that Hikari thinks that way. He seems to be the one who cares the most. I mean now it is mainly Manaka and then saving the world. But before Hikari was really caring about the surface for the ceremony. Plus hello Manaka was losing her ena in the water. If Hikari hadn't saved her it would have ended badly anyway. Poor guilty conscious Hikari. He went straight to work through....after school. So Miuna got her way and Hikari did his thing. Hikari might have sadness in his life but he is not continuously wallowing in it. Like okay working through the tears, lets get this song of the Boat Ceremony for Manaka.

Sayu is tired of all these bitches.

Miuna felt a little sorry for herself after the issue. All she wanted to do was build a sno...I mean do some homework. Oh and I tell Hikari her idea about the music. She got to do neither. So she put her sadface on and got to work with Sayu to find some more Manaka wake up methods. While Sayu is trying to help I can understand her frustration. Like hello do I look like I am from the sea? Does it look like I can logically solve this problem? Since all of this ena and sea god stuff sounds magical anyway lets have her be Snow White and have Hikari be the Prince with a kiss. Sayu.....again is a little rough with pointing out how Miuna not being down with that plan might mean that she (Miuna) doesn't really want Manaka to wake up. Does Sayu know that Hikari likes Manaka? We know Miuna knows and they are best friends.....If not Sayu might just assume this crazy love orgy is happening and Miuna has not so pure motives for Manaka not waking up.

This is Miuna being the "bigger" person.

Either way...I think Miuna can have not so pure thoughts and still be a good person. Or maybe I am just a bad person and shouldn't sympathize with crazies. See 50 percent of the time I can't stand my co-worker. Like hate her. But obviously if something bad happened to her and I could help I would. In my mind I might be thinking man...if I just did nothing....yeah I would be thinking that. The what ifs. But that would just be me mouthing off. Like when I think about all these worthless/stupid people in the world that should be killed off in the zombie apocalypse. But do I honestly want that to happen? Well besides to obviously evil people? No. So...yeah. Miuna is less than me in that regards. She just has fleeting moments of Manaka not waking up....NOW! She doesn't want the girl dead, just away for a little longer so she can have Hikari to herself. And really Miuna is actually trying hard to make Hikari happy by waking up Manaka. She just has tiny moments of damn it, life's not fair before she does the right thing. So endth the paragraph that makes me sound insane.

It's like no one else seems to think Miuna getting ena is a major and potentially game changing deal...

Miuna and Hikari's little issue didn't even last that long anyway. Like okay let's play the Boat Ceremony song and hear how much he cares about her. Although Hikari passing out probably helped. Like I was going to be angry and disappointed a little while longer but now I am going to put things in perspective. Hikari will stop worrying and working so hard and Miuna...well will skip school to take care of Hikari. You know, because she didn't just yell at Hikari for the same thing. I like how Akari is acting like this wise old lady at 25. Like yes Miuna skip school and hey Hikari other care too. It might make Manaka sad if she wakes up and Hikari is dead from exhaustion.

I don't think you should be talking to Tsumugu about this....

Before Miuna could have her magical make-up moment with Hikari she had to go talk to Tsumugu. Well he called first and then they met up. I like how Tsumugu and his Colleagues are trying to figure out what happened to Miuna in terms of her gaining ena. Like they are going to scientifically figure at this magical thing. I am sure Miuna has been in danger before and didn't magically adapt to the situation. Growing ena is not the same as becoming super strong for 10 seconds to pull a car off your kids. I bet if Tsumugu got in the water he gain some ena too via Manaka. Yet this all makes Miuna cry so she and Tsumugu have to get together to talk about how horrible they are in regards to the sea people. They want to be like them, so open with their feelings...yet...don't want all of them awake. Yeah. Tsumugu apparently can join the part of I Have Bad Thoughts and I'm Mean Club. Apparently all these kids waking up ruined his chances with Chisaki. Even though he knew that she liked Hikari and now Kaname likes Chisaki and he still hasn't confessed himself yet. Yeah it's the sea kids ruining things for him and Chisaki. That they might have been frozen in time too with the kids being asleep and now them waking up might mean Tsumugu doesn't get his girl. Eventually Tsumugu and Miuna decide to let people be who they want to be with. That they won't stop fighting per say but will step aside at the same time because that makes no sense. In the end they decide they are good people worthy of oxygen and just need to let it go. And no I won't stop with Frozen.

Is the scary picture looking at me?

So having successfully talked to someone in the same boat as her Miuna goes back to Hikari, ready to indeed let it go. Take a deep breath and tell him the secret to waking Miuna up. True love's first kiss. You know since the music didn't work. Good job Miuna, being the bigger person at 14. The kids are so dramatic at times I forget I am not watching an adult soap opera. Not that Miuna's tip matters because Manaka woke herself up. Maybe she was tired of looking at that creepy picture the little boy drew. Like wake me up from this nightmare, my voice actress needs to get paid. So now that every single kid is awake what will happen next? At one point it looked like Manaka was going to tell Tsumugu she was going to be with Hikari. Because Manaka thought she and Tsumugu were in love. Hahaha no. Manaka picked Hikari...but probably because she felt bad for him or it was the logical thing to do. Because if she flip flopped that easily...well...that makes her a Disney Princess. I guess we will have to see if Hikari really is this one. Then the other kids can “settle” in their romances too. Well besides one left out girl. Oh and maybe SAVE THE WORLD?! Just a silly idea I know....crazies.....

Absentee Tenchi has returned? Also jobs, who needs them?

Behold. I still exist. Sorta anyway. This whole month it feels as if I have been out of commission, barely here. I feel bad, that this blog has basically suffered and fallen by the wayside. :( Sometimes real life really, really sucks.

But given what went down last week I might have a lot of spare time to catch up on blogging. And cleaning. And well...a lot of other things. Le sigh. You know what is more annoying than working at a awful place that you loathe and wish ill upon? Being fired at said annoying and awful place. Oh Tenchi the Jobless.  

Yeah I was more fired up last week when it first happened. Rage. Lots of rage. Had I typed up anything last week it would have been filled with colorful language and threats that would probably have sent me to jail. Now I am just....bleh. Super bleh. Under the weather bleh. Worried myself into being sick even. Oh yes lots of fun in the Tenchi household. 

Bleh. Just erased the entire story. I guess I really am not ready to talk about this yet. Yes it was an awful job and really anyone else would have quit under those conditions. It still doesn't make me happy on how things went down. I have things planned. I was a good worker. Hello Japan? So just....yeah. I tend to be slightly emotional about being fired over what started as me wanting to eat lunch. Yes lunch folks. I was made to work most of my shifts alone and apparently asking for a 10 minute break was too much. Too much for the customers and the apparent 2392 managers that came out of the wood works to yell at us. After all my former boss was running a classy operation. One that makes someone who throws up three times at work the choice of being fired or finishing their shift that day. One that tells someone to get back to work the day after their boyfriend was killed or they will be fired. One that wants to search the personal belongings of all their employees because their son was found smoking pot. Yeah I guess if that is all going down at this classy joint asking for a 10 minute break was never going to happen. 

So long story short is I was losing my mind working during our super busy time and all I wanted was a ten minute break to eat lunch. This lead to customers calling management and management yelling at me and me crying for an hour due to frustration. Instead of sending help to get everything caught up and me to calm down I was fired. Le sigh indeed. Maybe I will share my story of woe later. Right now I am just way too bleh. Bleh bleh. No job means no money which puts a damper on my Japan plans doesn't it? Le sigh. I am downer Tenchi, bringing everyone else down. So for the time being I will be a sad panda on the couch, playing pokemon and trying to catch up on anime. I am sorry for being so out of it lately, just a lot going on. Hopefully I can get back on track in time for the Spring Session right? Maybe since Winter refuses to go away Spring 2014 anime will wait for me? Doubt it though. So again I apologize for the excessive lateness, just real life has been kicking my butt lately. Lets see if I can turn this around though yes?

Duffy the Disney Bear Adventures: Happy (late) St. Patrick's Day!

Hello there it is I Duffy the Disney Bear!! Being that I am such a loved bear I have many clothes for a lot of occasions. XD Even ones she doesn't really celebrate all that much. We aren't Irish but it is still fun to wear green and....eat green things? Mom would have posted these pictures yesterday but photobucket was being mean. :(

Dad made us green spaghetti. I think the idea sounded a lot better than what it looked like. Mom was like....err....

Mom's new doll Anna doesn't have to worry about being pinched today. XD I think this holiday consists of pinching people and beer. Not too much fun if you ask me....

...Yeah my family doesn't really celebrate St. Patrick's day that much. This is our "green" salad for dinner. XD

Behold my life for the last 10 days. Or 16 years....

I have not fallen off the face of the planet. Might as well when I look at the date of my last entry. X___X See I am a long, LONG time Pokemon fan. It all started when my little brother was like look Tina at what's on TV. Some mouse thing was trying to beat up on a rock monster. Clearly this needed some explanation. 16 years later and the husband spends over 200 dollars so I (we) can have the newest Pokemon game. XD Some Pokemon fans grew up and put away the games. Newer kids are introduced midway through all the hype. But there are some of us who have been along for the whole journey. And we grew up into obsessive adults who have to catch them all, get shinys, and makes perfect EVs.

Remember when there were only 151....

With each game more and more Pokemon have been added. Obviously. Some probably should have stayed on the cutting room floor. Like a stack of garbage? Yeah okay. But with this newest set of games, X and Y, a new way of trading Pokemon has been introduced. The Pokemon Bank. XO Why you could trade over all older generation Pokemons quite easily. Very easy compared to some...time consuming methods. Not all the games obviously...because you know...my Crystal games has all for that game and we can't be making it easy....

So on I went folks. I got as many Pokemon as I could get in X without any outside help with the exception of Zaptos because I wanted to stab it. Then the Wonder Trading/training began. Then.....the actual trading from my old games. Now this might have been a way less time consuming had I all along traded over previous generations to the new ones....but of course I didn't. Where is the fun in that....

This also might have been way less time consuming if my husband had oh I don't know...finished ONE GAME EVER! Like he would beat the elite four sometimes and that be it. Never catching a legendary. Or like with Black 2...he got to the 5th badge and quit. QUIT ON ME! Now as most Pokemon fans know you can't catch all the legendary on your own. Most of the time you will at least need one other game system. Wonder trading has made getting the starter ones a lot easier. But some....yeah if I tried to finish all of his games and get the ones I still need no anime will be blogged ever again. X___X

So close yet so far away...

So folks....after many nights of RAWRING because how can not one account have Turtwig and where the heck is Jirachi.....this is my almost final countdown. XD Because the husband is special I do not have one of the little Regis which means I can't get the big one. And the second you transfer over to X it is over. Because you know the husband can't finish a game! Also his blue orb just...flew away on his pokemon heartgold game so we can't get those two legendary. And Manaphy just simply flew away. I also don't have the hot mess My Little Pony reject for some reason. Must have missed that event. XD But overall not too bad right? The Pokemon Bank is free for 30 days so I figured I would focus on that for a while instead of anime blogging. Well I was doing some but clearly none of them are in a state to get posted. Because I can watch anime and travel up and down a patch of grass looking for a Tyrogue. So if you were looking for an answer on why no anime got blogged the past week or so...here it is. I was finishing plots and hatching eggs and cursing at having low level pokemon on a game because I had already transferred the strong ones over. XD I think I did pretty good yes? Almost a whole pokemon master!!! But now that I have gotten almost all that I can without...you know spending 10 more hours on Black 2 and restarting heartgold...it will be time to get some anime posts caught up with. XD Sorry for such a long absence. Once I get my mind set on something it is hard to let it go. Pokemon. Almost caught them all.

Noragami episode 7

The face of someone doomed!

Posts, posts, and more posts. And laundry. How is it only 4 pm? I feel like I have been up forever yet I need to get more done. So lets get to it right away as this post is the last one that was in its final stages of being complete. Now I can watch and blog about actual episodes AFTER watching them. Or you know take a nap. Either way. Up now is Noragami episode 7. Spoilers for Yuki having a death wish.

For you to stop being a brat?

Episode Summary: Bishamon is taking another spa type bath. She is sitting there thinking how Yato was acting injured and she should have taken him out when she had the chance. Curses. Her main treasure Kazuma appears with a status report. To stop the fight last time Kofuku created a Vent, an in between from this world and the Far Shore, and Phantoms were pouring in for a time before it was sealed off. Now nearby gods want this problem taken care of. Bishamon is like okay so where is Yato? Kazuma gets quiet and very upset. Bishamon tells Kazuma to speak his mind. Kazuma tells Bishamon that she isn't acting like a good master, putting all of them in danger over a grudge. Bishamon is like silence....then asks Kazuma to get ready for the Phantom hunt. Back at case de Hiyori she has gone and made a lovely breakfast for Yuki the perpetual sad. But when she opens the door Yato is sitting there eating chips. She asks where Yuki is and Yato shrugs, saying the kid ran away. Hiyori demands for Yato to care and he says he only needs Yuki for battle, nothing else. Yato pretends to not care but tells Hiyori he thinks Yuki is at Tenjin's place. So off Hiyori runs. Tenjin and some of his treasure weapons greet her warmly. They confirm that Yuki was there earlier via flashback. Yuki has asked Tenjin to make him his (Tenjin's) treasure as he is tired of the awful Yato. Tenjin tells Yuki to give it more time. Yuki says he only sees this ending is disaster and Tenjin tells Yuki he can't make the boy his treasure because that would make him a Nora. Yuki and Hiyori are confused at this term, Nora, as they thought Nora was a person. The explanation of Nora is given to Hiyori, flashback over. A Nora is someone who goes around having many masters, lots of names. Other treasures hate them as this is disloyal and how can a god trust someone with many masters? It is like they are going against their very nature. Hiyori wants to know how Noras can exist if they shouldn't? Tenjin doesn't know but thinks that this Yuki and Yato situation needs work. Tenjin explains that some gods use Noras to do things they wouldn't dare ask their personal treasures to do. Hiyori wants to know more but Tenjin's treasures get upset and he goes to comfort them. Later Yato goes out, probably to find Yuki but he runs into Nora instead. She wants Yato to use her again, to forgot about Yuki. Yato is pretty strong in his no I won't do that.

According to Nora Yuki is so useless not even birds would eat him. Amazing.

Hiyori is still looking for Yuki when she smells something different. A god but not Yato. She sees Bishamon and freaks out. She goes to run away but Kazuma is standing behind her. He realizes she is a half Phantom and if she values her life to stay away from the situation. Bishamon and Mr. Lion treasure land on the roof and talk to Kazuma like Hiyori isn't there. They think this sector is clear of Phantoms and want to move on. Kazuma agrees, saying he will make one more sweep of the area. They leave and Kazuma explains to Hiyori his ability to understand and control the area around him thus he could conceal her. She wants to know why he helped her if she has sided with Yato. Kazuma says while he might be enemies with Yato because of Bishamon he still respects and owes Yato. Which is why he tells Hiyori that Yuki is slowly killing Yato with this blight. That Yuki will have to die in order for Yato to live. Hiyori has flashes in her head of Yato threatening to kill Yuki. Elsewhere Yuki is pissed over Tenjin not accepting when Yato finds him. Claims that they have a job. Turns out this job is being a fill in at a convenient store. Yuki is pissed while Yato is trying to make the best of it. Daikoku and Kofuku come in to I guess mock Yato. Hiyori leads them there with her keen eye for detail...I mean strong sense of smell. She wants to tell Yato about her convo with Kazuma when Yato gets a ping that Yuki did something wrong. He goes to the cash register to count the money and Yuki gets offended that Yato thinks so low of him. He runs out but sorta bumps/falls and a charity relief bucket falls from his jacket. Everyone knows he really is a thief now. He runs off upset and Hiyori really worries. It turns out that Kofuku and Daikoku were coming to give Yato a job she didn't want and Yato decides to take it, leaving those two in charge of the store. Yuki is beyond upset and well he has no one else to blame but himself. Nora randomly pops up and is all creepy on Yuki. Saying he is pretty but on the inside he is completely useless and no one needs him. Yuki gets upset, more than he already was when Yato appears. Nora offers to help Yato but declines Nora's hand and transforms Yuki into his sword form, that this is his treasure. Yato sets to work going after the huge moth Phantom yet finds out that Yuki is dull now. Yato proceeds to get his ass kicked. Nora once again offers to help Yato but he uses some purified water he obtained earlier to temporary stop the Phantom and to make Yuki sharp again to cut up the Phantom. Nora watches from the shadows while someone else appears and is like see he doesn't want you. In the end Hiyori is still very upset that Yato is hurt and Yuki might be killed. Kazuma seems to want Hiyori to stop this all. What will happen next?! THE END!

That doesn't sound very promising.....

Well it looks like things aren't ever going to be fun again. Ever. Well not for this episode and not the next episode either. What a drag man said all the surfer people ever.

Did someone say let it go?

So...Bishamon likes to take a lot of baths in the open. I am assuming this is her bath or onsen since she is a well to do god and all. No modesty for a woman who wears a bikini top in battle. Because you know...bikini tops are totally functional and warm. Amazing for battles and such. Oh you men with your fanservice. But yes bath time for Bishamon. She is pretty pissed about letting Yato go. Even though she is the one who made that decision. Like oh great and powerful Kofuku, I will surely listen to you, honor your request, and keep Yato alive for one extra day. Now Bishamon is regretting her decision. Yato was so weak and injured, he was easy pickings. What if someone sends him a sponsor gift now, gosh. Silly Bishamon.

Not that you CARE because you are too busy focusing on Yato.

It seems as if you can back talk/question your Master and not cause them any blight or pings. That or maybe Bishamon and Kazuma have a special relationship. He does seem to be the main treasure despite Bishamon having a lot of them. A lot. Anyway Kazuma was not impressed with Bishamon's attitude. Whether it is because of his feelings/relationship with Yato or because Bishamon was acting out of line. To me it seems as if she got very upset when her treasures were slightly hurt last time. She still had the rage though so I guess Kazuma wasn't impressed with Bishamon not thinking of them. She is still the Master though. She got a little snippy though near the end of Kazuma's speech. Like shut up. But then Bishamon listened to Kazuma. Like okay so I do need to care about all those Phantoms Kofuku let loose last time. This was Bishamon's way of saying Kazuma was right. On a side note I really think Kofuku should be the one taking care of these Phantoms, not....anyone else. She let them out. Hiyori asked for help, not more problems.

So go find him!

Well that problem is going to have to wait. Although I am happy that it was acknowledged and wasn't a teehee did I do that moment. Since Hiyori really can't do much about that situation she figured making Yuki breakfast would help...make the kid feel loved. Not the dreadful cookies but breakfast. Bad cookies. Not that it mattes as Yato was there and Yuki was not. I think Yato is putting on a show. A very elaborate one. Maybe he wants to fool himself. Like I am big and bad and don't care about anyone else. But he does. That and trying to stop Yuki from leaving would probably make Yuki want to leave more or cause Yuki to sin in anger. So Yuki didn't make him stay. But you can't get mad at Hiyori for getting mad. Yuki is basically Yato's responsibility and to her he isn't doing a good job. At least Yato knew where Yuki was.

Yato is a giant meanie. Can I work for you instead?

Apparently Hiyori isn't ever really going to make Yato fix her. Because she is running off looking for bratty Yuki. I guess Yuki still has crazy angry hormones inside of him that causes the RARW to come out. That and being with Yato isn't ideal either. I mean he makes the Russian Olympics accommodations for visitors look downright roomy. No food, no water, no house. You would think over the years Yato would at least have a box to call his own. So Yuki being unhappy with his current situations sought out a god that looked popular and wasn't trying to kill him or act insane. Hello Tenjin. I am sure Yato knew why Yuki was there and that Yuki was going to get turned down. Just let Tenjin spring the news and let Yuki go crawling back. Or you know wish for death.

Someone has the jealouses.

So what was flashback Yuki and Hiyori told? Well Yuki wants to be Tenjin's treasure. The thing is Yato hasn't released him yet. Now that have seen the whole episode I know how this relationship works without it being incredibly one sided. But at that moment it just seemed like the god had all the power and Yuki couldn't ask to leave but maybe he could have another god be his master as well. Double dipping. Well there is a term for a treasure like that. Nora. Yeah that chick's name isn't Nora, she is a Nora. And it sounds like no one has any respect for those souls. Now this is kinda messed up. You know, you can't sleep with a hooker and complain hookers are disgusting people. So isn't it really the other gods fault for knowingly taking on a treasure who already has a master? I mean they have to know right? I t seems as if not all gods take part in this but the ones who use Noras do so to...get away with things. Perhaps they can get out of the sinning aspect of a Nora and make them do rotten things. Or undetected things. Either way, putting aside Tenjin trying to be a perv, being a Nora isn't a good thing. There are rules you know.

The point is Noras are....not respected but apparently a useful part to being a god. I mean....it sounds like already established gods with tons of treasures don't have to sink that low but maybe gods like Yato have to. Maybe good treasures are hard to come by. Which could be why Yato is sticking it out with Yuki despite his super bratty behavior. Yato has made a lot of enemies in his past experiences hasn't he? Yuki might be adding to this stigma by simply not knowing the rules. He didn't know what a Nora is but now Tenjin's treasures know Yuki accidentally asked to be one. Also given how things are Yuki might be one willingly to get away from Yato. But Tenjin wasn't biting so off Yuki went, probably to have another pout. Keep on searching Hiyori.

Is Bishamon so bent on killing Yato she can't sense Hiyori?

Hiyori's going on rooftops looking for this skateboard thief. Only she accidentally attracted the attention of Kazuma. Maybe Bishamon was too in the zone but....I think she should have sensed Hiyori. Kazuma did. I know his ability helped cover her up later but Hiyori is one big look at me I am right here target. I don't know, seems awfully convenient. But Bishamon is too busy looking for Phantoms to kill. Phantoms that Kofuku should be killing. Since Bishamon has about 10 treasure weapons she doesn't need Kazuma at all times so he can stop and talk to Hiyori about Yato. Funny how he is telling her one minute to stay away from all of this nonsense and the next to get herself more involved in said nonsense. Kazuma's reasons for doing this are unknown at this time. Kazuma did bow after the battle last episode so he has some respect for Yato. I am sure Yato was his first Master or saved him from something so Kazuma feels some loyalty despite belonging to and helping Bishamon. Wonder if Bishamon knows about that and what her feelings on the subject are.

Err....but Yuki is my friend too....

It seems to me that Kazuma either wants Hiyori to be a treasure or convince Hiyori to convince Yato that Yuki must die. I am not sure if Hiyori can even be one but that is what I think Kazuma was saying. Otherwise I am not sure what his point was. Well I do get the point: Yuki must die. That was loud and clear. I am just not sure what Kazuma wants Hiyori to do about it. Yuki sinning is really hurting Yato. This is how the relationships stay “balanced” even thought there is only one Master. If a treasure doesn't respect or like his/her Master, is abused in anyway, that treasure can act a fool and hurt their Master into letting them go. Let them go, let them go. So...accidentally Yuki is really doing a great job of getting rid of Yato on his own. Only Yato is being stubborn and won't let Yuki go nor is really explaining to him how this all works. So Yato is going to die at this rate and Kazuma thinks the best course of action is for Yuki to die. Yeah I think Hiyori is the wrong person to tell this to.

I promise I won't steal skateboards and money. I will just be....creepy.

After more fear being put into her heart Hiyori continued the search. And or was approached by Daikoku and Kofuku to find Yato whom had already found poutface Yuki. Like come on kid I got a job. But before Yato snatched Yuki up for this all important job there was a driveby Noraing. This girl is creepy. Maybe Tenjin was right the way he described them. Or maybe Nora was just a clinging stalker in her living life and being a spirit hasn't helped matters anyway. In any event Yato was trying to wash his blight off that Yuki keeps causing him. And Nora is like hey just use me. Don't even try to work with this Yuki kid because he is weighing you down. Technically this Yuki kid IS killing Yato but maybe Yato has some pride issues. Or he knows Yuki has been through a lot and is trying to make this work. Or maybe Nora really is that crazy and Yuki is a better alternative. Begone Nora, Yato doesn't want you anymore. You must have done something bad oh creepy, crouching all the time girl.

That would be Hiyori not making things better. Her specialty.

So anyway Nora is creepy, Yato finds Yuki, ect ect. Time for Yato's amazing job. What is it this time? Working at a convenient store. Ah the source of many meals and desserts while we were in Japan. Putting that aside....if people actually believed in Yato, that his sign was actually the real deal....they could make bank. Or save bank rather. Talk about having someone under the table. For the low, low price of 5 yen you could hire Yato to work all day. Think of all the savings. I mean....Yato should get in on this too. He would be guaranteed 5 yen a day. Sometimes he doesn't have any jobs at all. This is a win/win for everyone. Yato should really think about this poor idea of mine, he could have his temple in 200 years at this rate.

Could you just try not being....you for 5 seconds? We swear all the attention is on you. Just stop.

While Yato was hard at work (because he is a hard worker and cheerful) Yuki was having a pout on the floor. A big no no. Japan is big on looking busy. I am pretty sure they invented busy work. So Yuki not helping....bad Yuki. I don't think he has accepted his lot in life right now. I think the night would have gone smoother had Hiyori not tried to make it batter. Kofuku had a job she didn't want done. Hiyori lead her right to Yato. The entire “gang' showed up if you would making the issue even worse. More witnessed to be embarrassed in front of. The issue being Yuki can't stop stealing. While everyone was making fun of Yato or worrying about Yuki (Hiyori) Yuki himself decided to be the baddie. Like woe is me, everyone is picking on me for being a thief. Instead of apologizing for my actions I will just...you know...steal again. Because maybe this time no one will get mad at me? Yeah because stealing from a charity and making Yato look bad by accusing him rightfully so will throw everyone off. Just..run away and be sad some more that everyone is picking on you. It's not like Hiyori is trying to keep you alive or anything.

The battle is going well don't you think?

If Kofuku hadn't given the job to Yato I don't think Yato would have looked for the boy right away. Like nope, you keep blighting me, stay where you are and have a pout. But I guess it is a good thing that Kofuku is so lazy at cleaning up her own mess because in the midst of Yuki having his daily tantrum Nora the creeper showed up. Like my what big eyes you have type craziness. Yato is like nope nope, this is my Yuki treasure and we have a giant..moth to kill. Nora must be a level 5 crazy if the constant troublemaker Yuki is the better alternative. This battle between Yato and Mr. Giant Moth was not an easy one. Yato really is covered and hurt by Yuki's sins and Yuki is not in the right state of mind to...well really be used in battle. He is still mad at everyone and lashing out. If Yato had not had the purified water from his earlier encounter with Nora things...well might have ended badly. Good thing Bishamon didn't show up since we know she was in the area....

I guess I am amazed at the idea of a god dying....where do they go after they die?

So in the end (I think...my poor memory) Yato does defeat the Moth Phantom but things are not good. Yuki isn't really up for friends or talking. Poor Hiyori is beyond worried about the poor boy now. She was worried before but now Yuki messed up again. Warning warning. Hiyori doesn't want to lose Yato or Yuki. Yato is trying to work with this kid but it really isn't working. Yato has been ignoring the Yuki situation or really not...explaining how serious the situation is. I think he wants to help “save” Yuki despite acting all big and bad in front of Hiyori, that he would punish the kid. But maybe now that his life is on the line....Nora might be an option? I hope not. Guess we will find out next episode. Til then...
