Noragami episode 3

Err....now the sun is out and shining. I guess we could have gone to St. Augustine today. Oh the weather in Florida. So wonderful. So random. One day it is freezing, the next day it is 70 degrees, and then it rains all day. Sunshine State my butt. XD Yes I know it was much colder in other states but as Atlanta, Georgia has shown us the southern states in the United States are not made for cold. Bundle up and stay indoors unless you want to be in traffic for 18 hours. Seriously folks. X___X What a nightmare. I hope people have recovered.

Putting my random ramblings aside...it is time for post number 3!!! Up now is Noragami episode 3. Spoilers for Yato getting a read job! XO

err.....die?

Episode Summary: Yuki is having the best life ever being Yato's treasure weapon. Or not. Yato is currently digging for food and clothes out of a trash can while all Yuki has is his robe and Hiyori's scarf to keep him warm. He tuns his nose at some of the clothes and the fact Yato is trying to feed him sardines that a random cat is trying to eat. Yato tries to build up how awesome he will be one day but Yuki is like you are homeless dude. So to fix their problem temporary Yato calls up Hiyori to give them an offering of food. They eat like pigs as Hiyori looks on in disgust. She tries to get the topic back on to her situation when she notices that some people are ignoring Yato and Yuki. Yato explains the difference between them and humans, that their presence goes widely unknown unless someone is really looking for them and how Phantoms are totally different. Then it is on to more eating. Yuki sorta gives back the scarf to Hiyori is a cute/shy way and she is all smiles. Yuki tries to speak about his disdain for Yato but that brings out another bought of I AM AWESOME via Yato. As Yato stays inside to steal all the free candy Hiyori attempts to make small talk with Yuki. They can bond over Yato being a slacker. Hiyori almost asks Yuki how he died but finds that might be offense. Yuki starts to get all blushy and Yato runs out, explaining he and Yuki are one and now they share thoughts/feelings. Embarrassed much? Yato then gets a phone call for another job and he attempts to take Yuki to it. Hiyori is like um no my job first and hops on. At least her soul does, leaving her body at the cafe. They arrive at a wonder temple belonging to a god that Yato knows. They are greeted by many shrine girls that turn out to be treasure weapons later. They finally are greeted by the god of this temple Tenjin. He is super amazing and impressive so Hiyori and Yuki start worshiping him. Yato feels put out and demands to know why he is here. Tenjin explains that he is the one who is going to hire Yato. Nearby at the train station some Phantom has been stalking and luring people to their deaths. Several people have left prayers at Tenjin's temple and he wants Yato to go investigate. He can't do it because...he is above that and flaunts his power in Yato's face. Yato wants to say no but a paying job is a paying job. Tenjin goes to send one of his treasure weapons along for the ride but it turns out to be Tomone. This causing some anger between Yato and Tomone while Hiyori and Yuki want the exes fight. Tomone is kind of enough to tell Yuki not to disrespect Yato again by worshiping another.

ONE OF US!

Everyone walks to the train tracks where Tomone explains how it is exam season and kids are depressed and two people have committed suicide here recently due to be influenced by Phantoms. Yato gets kinda quiet and then pissed off. He decides he doesn't want to help despite being paid already. Tomone gets upset but Yato is like if these people want to throw their lives away why should I help their stupid selves out. Hiyori gets really upset that Yato isn't doing the right thing and decides she is going to help herself. She goes to a nearby station and sees a student being harassed by tiny Phantoms. She thinks she can handle it and shoos them away with her ninja moves. Only the tiny Phantoms overpower her and she is pushed on the train tracks. Right before a train can run over her tail Yato appears and rescues her. He yells at her for being so impulsive. Hiyori just wanted to help though. They ride the train and soon reach the crossing where all the suicides have taken place. At that moment another student is ready to take the jump and Yato decides he won't let THEM see this again. He transforms Yuki into his sword and slices the giant Phantom which was a hand. Yuki ends up killing the Phantom AND a lot of the station but at least everyone is protected. They get off the train and see Tomone nodding in the distance, then returning to Tenjin. Hiyori realizes that these treasure weapons are souls of people who didn't want to die and fought to stay conscious in any form while these humans were killing themselves for no reason. That is why Yato was originally upset but decided to take the case so Yuki and Tomone wouldn't get upset. Hiyori starts crying because it is all so beautiful and tragic. Yuki and Yato fight over who made Hiyori upset and then Yato yells some more because Yuki is thinking naughty thoughts about Hiyori. That night Yato and Yuki take their homeless selves back to another temple and Yato gives Yuki a little kid's jacket to keep warm. Yuki reluctantly takes it but feels as if something is watching them. What could it be? THE END!

Once again a simple little episode but one that tugs at the heart strings. Or purse strings. Or strings that lure cats closer to you because we all know that cars are awesome and would never attack a human being like they did Yato. All lies.

Although....requests like that are pretty....outrageous.

I would like to point out to Yuki that before Yato rescued him Yuki was living on the streets. In the form of a fluff ball. With no food to eat or a place to stay. So complaining about his lot in life now makes no sense. I mean yes when you think about it eating cat scrapes and sleeping at someone else's temple does sound pathetic. But when you had less than that to begin with...you are moving on up kid. Moving on up. I might be halfway kidding on this. I think I would have rather Yato stole me some clothes though. Not quite sure about clothes in the trash. Although this is Japan, place where hand me downs aren't common (you know second hand stores) so maybe you wear it and then trash it. Either way Yuki wasn't stuck wearing Grandpa clothes.

Stop being ungrateful!

Yato is never wavering in his quest to be amazing. Even when all the odds are against him. Like no Yuki, you shall not talk to me this way. I am your master, obey me. Almost went all mom on him. I brought you into this world and I can take you out. This food is fit for a king. Look at these perfectly good clothes in this trash. How can you turn them down? Yato knows he has to work hard to become an actual god so he is okay with scraping by. And if he's not he isn't saying it out loud. Just sucking it up and dealing with it. His subordinate....not so much.

So much food....also I want to go back to Japan now. :(

Still Yato will...acknowledge in some ways he needs help. But he will word it in a way that is not charity. Hiyori is giving them an offering. An offering. Duh!! This is not pity food. I am a god and I am helping her out so of course she would give me an offering. Eat up on Hiyori's yen. Goodbye pocket money for a month. I was going to say something snippy about how kids in Japan have outrageous allowances but I guess they do more about the house than American kids. Like I had chores but I never stopped at the store to pick up food or actually make said food. Carry on hungry spirits.

While Yuki and Yato were chowing down Hiyori looked exasperated. But at least she learned a few things. Hopefully one was that she is never getting cured. Haha kidding...not really. No she learned a bit about gods and spirits. Of course it is odd they need to sleep....feel cold...need to eat. But they are still different from humans. They don't have a huge presences. They are just there and if you weren't looking for them you wouldn't see them. Can explain why Hiyori could see him when her friends could not. The Phantoms must have even less of a presence. I am sure if Yuki or Yato did something...in the real world people would see the results, just not them. XO Dust in the wind ya'll.

Hiyori wasn't very impressed by this. Yuki is not impressed with Yato. XO They have something in common. While Yato was trying to score all the free candy ever. Hiyori was trying to learn about Yuki. Okay she didn't want to hurt his feelings since....he is obviously dead. Yuki clearly wasn't thinking that way as Yato points out later. They share thoughts. How fun is that?! Can't even have a crush on anyone now without Yato knowing. Hiyori seemed a little oblivious of this fact but meh. It was more about establishing a bit of who Yuki is. I would have thought he would have been more bothered by the fact he can't remember anything about himself but Hiyori is pretty and loaned him a scarf. That is more important.

New job for Yato, time to go. Only Hiyori was like um no what about MY job?! So she tagged along too. I think that was a little special but meh, her body and soul do separate a lot now so maybe it is possible. So what is this new job? Why rescuing students from killing themselves via possession. Exam season is very serious folks. X___X Nasty little Phantoms coming and landing on your shoulder, whispering things in your ear. Now if I listen to the little demon on my shoulder...well it wouldn't be good for a lot of people. This sounds like a perfect case for Yato. What a steal at 5 yen.

A real one!

Only...Yato may not be happy with who is paying for his service. He has been summoned by a legit god who is concerned about these suicides near his temple. Plus...you know...people are leaving little plaques behind at the temple being all sad and crap. Enter Tenjin, an actual god with a temple, followers, and many treasure weapons. Clearly he is just too busy to go and do the task himself. That is work for lesser gods...like Yato. I am saving some work for you. Be happy with leftovers. Can you break my giant bill that my followers left me? No oh too bad. Sucks to be you.

I dropped that name when I dropped you buddy.

So while Hiyori and Yuki were being brats and worshiping a real god Yato was getting from both sides. Here is Tenjin the successful god, everything Yato wants to be. And in this corner is Tomone. You know, the treasure weapon that left Yato high and dry after only a month of service. Yeah she is serving Tenjin under a new name and the blood between the two (Yato and Tomone) of them is bad. Yuki and Hiyori were eating popcorn and watching the whole thing go down. Basically Tomone left him for a rich dude. So..she sucks? Have fun eating your food and living inside. I got me a new treasure weapon now...who is off bowing to Tenjin come on!!

Tell us how you really feel Yato.

I don't think Yato should have taken this job if he was going to be so judgey. I mean it's not like people want to be possessed by Phantoms and kill themselves. I understand it's the darkness that lives in their hearts and all that crap that helps make the situation worse, causing more Phantoms. Still it's not like these people are asking for problems. Yato made it sound like these people needed to buck up and he wasn't going to help someone who wasted their lives. I mean...do you know what I mean? People commit suicide in real life all the time. Sometimes the pain is too much. Yes there are other ways out for some (like bullying at 12 years old) but...it just is life. Yes it is selfish to those you leave behind but it's your life. I understand Yato's point later on but it's not like those who commit suicide stole life from those who wish they could/can live longer. They didn't steal from them, they just used theirs in a different way. I don't know, it was just funny that a god of “war” would feel this way. Someone can cut you down in battle but you can't kill yourself. Okay then.

You could stop this you know.

Hiyori was not happy with Yato's bleh behavior. I wouldn't be either. Like hello if suicide makes you so unhappy/angry help take out the Phantom causing it. That way people would be less likely to do it. Just don't walk away and let more victims happen. So Hiyori is going to do something about it. See last time she got involved it was to get Yato a weapon so he could help her. This time she got involved because she is a person who can't stand by and watch things happen. But last time...Hiyori put herself in danger and had to be rescued. On the plus side both of these instances forced Yato into action and it ended up working out for the best you know?

Stop trying to be a hero!

Seeing that Hiyori doesn't have the hang of this half Phantom thing yet Yato will just have to save the day. Again. So reluctant. I think he is a nice guy at heart. Just...the topic of suicide wasn't a good one for him. That was his I don't give a damn trigger I suppose. But he arrived rather fast to save Hiyori from losing her tail and if he so happened to save someone's life in the process....well that was just icing on the cake, not his true intention. The battle was rather brief this week. Like Yuki turned into a sword, BAM Mr. Grabby hands is dead. Well and some of the train station. For being a first time weapon Yuki did really great.

I think Yato should have yelled at Hiyori some more. Like hello stop risking your life with things you don't understand. Then again she could have put it back on him, saying he wasn't doing the right thing so she had to step up. Instead (after looking at the destruction Yuki made and a nod at Tomone) Hiyori has a cry and the boys got uncomfortable and blamed each other for her woman tears. Hiyori just realized how sad the situation was. That Yato is (sorta) caring for these treasure weapons, souls of people who wanted to live and this case was about people “throwing” their lives away. So...I guess Yato isn't super terrible. But Hiyori does need to watch herself a little more. A lot more really. Almost squished by a train there cat lady.

See? Best friends forever.

And I think that's about it for this episode. Yato got put in his place a bit by a more...season god. Tomone and her leaver self made an appearance. Hiyori is super impulsive which I am sure is being looked at as a positive thing. Yuki is a bit...well teenage like. They can be sorta jerky when they are alive so why would being dead make a difference? I might not be in the best of moods either if some...less than amazing god basically said I was his servant and we live in the streets and dig our clothes out of trash cans. So while Yuki might come off a bit rough...well I am sure he has been through a lot despite not remembering it. And by the end of the episode he seemed more okay with homeless Yato. I am sure it will work out. Or they can have a great time being insane, who knows. Until next time!

Nagi no Asukara episode 17

Post number 2 of the day. XD Hopefully more to come. It just seems like there is so much to do and instead of doing...any of it I get overwhelmed and do other things. Like MOG what to do first I need to do it all.....too much I will just sit on the couch and do nothing. Does that happen to anyone else? No...never mind then. XD

Well there isn't much cheer but I guess I can try....

Anyway moving on to anime and not excuses. Up now is Nagi no Asukara episode 17. Spoilers for Kaname getting in on the feeling department.

What about me?! Aren't I cool?!

Episode Summary: Hikari and Miuna return home from their non shopping adventure to find Akari freaking out. Kaname is alive...and naked!!! They turn and run back the exact way they came. Once being found Kaname is taken to the working fish place and given some clothes. Chisaki has decided she cares once again and runs to see Kaname. At first he is excited to see her but when Tsumugu appears behind her Kaname has jealous face on for 5 seconds, then pretends everything is okay. Tsumugu's colleague then starts asking Kaname a lot of questions, like if he could see the underwater city. Kaname woke up being taken by the current and doesn't remember much, only that he heard something odd. Miuna is like oh I heard that today too when I almost didn't drown in the ocean. While Akari is like MOG you almost died everyone else picks up on the fact that Miuna could swim AND breath underwater. Thanks for that detail Hikari. As Tsumugu's colleague focuses on the obvious, that the weather must be affected by the sea god and not being able to find the city Kaname focuses on the fact that Hikari wants to find Manaka and Chisaki is focused on Hikari wanting to find Manaka. Because there is officially no more room in the inn Kaname is taken to Tsumugu's house. Kaname pretends like Chisaki living at Tsumugu's is something nice and that he is jumped to the wrong conclusion when they both showed up. But watching the two interact in the kitchen makes Kaname think the two have grown close. Tsumugu tries to ask Chisaki if she is okay but she doesn't get the point or she is lying. The next day at the teacher announces that Kaname has woken up and the entire class is buzzing with excitement. Hikari pretends to be mad because he is not the center of attention while Sayu looks bummed. So bummed Miuna does not mention her breathing under water adventures. During break Sayu talks about how she had grand plans to be alone all her life and now Kaname came back and she doesn't know how to feel. Drinking their triangle juices Miuna decides that they should give it their all since they are the same age now. Both girls are happy and promise not to give up. While Hikari and Miuna bid Sayu goodbye as they walk home Kaname was on the other side, near the bridge where the pole should have squished him. He is thinking about Chisaki giving Tsumugu and Hikari all the attention. Their old friend from school goes to greet Kaname and Sayu hears Kaname but runs away all embarrassed. Before Kaname can run after her Chisaki appears so Kaname walks home with her. He asks her has she changed. Chisaki blushes, saying she has grown but hasn't changed AKA still loves Hikari. She asks if Kaname has changed and he replies he hasn't, that he has a thing for older woman.

Miuna has ena? Lets talk about boys.

Back where things matter Mr. Colleague has determined that Miuna has a thin layer of ena now. This is news to everyone and Miuna is SO HAPPY that she and Hikari have something in common. The Colleague wants to examine the little boy and thinks that this has something to do with the weather and what not. Miuna wants to tell Sayu about this new development and visit with Kaname but Sayu doesn't want to. Miuna is worried about the girl and skips walking home with Hikari to find Sayu. Hikari and Kaname go to their old watering pit that Tsumugu made. Kaname confesses everything is different and Hikari nods, saying it is overwhelming. But now that Kaname has woken up that means Manaka will wake up soon and he is sure her feelings for Tsumugu have not changed. Yet he will willing to help her out because he loves her. Miuna hears this confession in her efforts to find Sayu and is heartbroken. Miuna walks to the broken down fish place again because apparently drowning is fun and finds Sayu having a pity party. Miuna puts on her party hat and talks about how she thought she had a chance with Hikari but apparently not. Sayu decides that they are sick for holding onto crushes since they were kids and that they need to let it go. Because Sayu can break into song Miuna decides she is not sick and will keep on trying. Sayu and Miuna get into a little fight, mainly because their hearts are hurting and they need someone to take it out on. On the way home Sayu runs into Kaname who tries treating her like a kid but stops when he realizes they are the same age. Sayu is like damn I am sick too. Miuna arrives home to finding Hikari running out the door and she joins him. Turns out that Tsumugu and Colleague have found out that there is a new underwater current that might take them to the city and they think the sound Kaname and Miuna heard is connected. They boys are asked to explore but Kaname isn't sure he can find the noise again. Miuna volunteers to help, even if that means finding Manaka. For some reason Chisaki is asked not to go on this trip under the sea. The trio dive in the water with Tsumugu and colleague waiting top side for them. Miuna is able to hear the noise and leads the boys to the mysterious sound, amazed by the world Hikari came from. THE END!

Also we couldn't talk about this all when Hikari came back? Maybe because Hikari was unconscious?

Oh oh I see how it is. Hikari appears passed out before people and no one wants to pay attention to him and make sure he is okay. But Kaname is walking around naked in public and suddenly everyone has feelings and wants to care. Maybe Chisaki will be the most excited to see Manaka if this continues, despite Manaka being the source of much unhappiness in her life. Unwillingly of course.

Why doesn't anyone have a cellphone so we can call and inform people of things? Is this show in the past?

Kaname was up and running after emerging from the ocean. No nap for him. Not that he would have been able to take one given all the commotion. I like that Hikari ran to see him though. Like please Akari, can't hold this kid back. I thought Miuna would have stayed behind and called Sayu right then and there but that would mean leaving Hikari's side so that won't due. Onward to places that have spare clothes on hand in case naked people from the sea emerge. Where do all their clothes go? I mean...the entire place is full of water so are they all going to be naked? Or were Manaka, Hikari, and Kaname really exposed to the elements. And sharks ate their clothes? Who cares Kaname is back!!! Rejoice Hikari!!!

Just...there are no words for this....

Generally speaking Kaname has always been the stable member of this motley crew. Manaka was the flip flopper cry baby, Hikari was the pig headed passionate one, and Chisaki was 5 steps away from being emo and writing her Twilight diary about how life is so unfair in the corner. Kaname was more the cool and calm kid. Like yeah I like Chisaki but I know she likes someone else. Not going to cut myself over it. So when Kaname was thrown into the ocean because he was paying attention to Tsumugu and Chisaki...I was a bit thrown myself. Like hello why are you focusing on this? Maybe he was afraid that Manaka's flip floppin ability was contagious and that Chisaki was falling for Tsumugu despite being pissed off at him being honest (THE NERVE). It just was...to me a lame way to make Kaname fall into the ocean as well, leaving Chisaki alone. Had he not paused he would probably have been in the boat and Chisaki would have no pity party. It just seems out of character that Kaname would automatically assume things just because Tsumugu and Chisaki walked in at the same time. Like why can't girls and boys be friends without there being something romantic going on? Doesn't Kaname have enough to worry about with Hikari and Chisaki that he doesn't need to make up things with Chisaki and Tsumugu? Of course if he turns out to be right...I will still assume he was overacting. Or could see into the future and was getting upset in advanced.

We need a flow chart for all the loves.

There is a lot going on in Kaname's head right now folks. He has just woken up 5 years in the future naked and he sees Chisaki and Tsumugu acting all close. So clearly this was the time to interrogate him. Maybe one day I will remember what the Colleague's name is but for now I want to call him butthead. Can't the boy get some hot soup and rest before questioning him? Why not the questions for Hikari? Because he was unconscious? Kaname was more focused on Hikari worrying about Manaka and Chisaki worrying about Hikari worrying about Manaka to really care about the “sound” he heard. These people be on crack though. In clearly sounded like something breaking. Sand moving...I guess, like the current was dragging it along. Still it sounded like little tiny pieces of glass were breaking. For some reason, because maybe now everyone is psychic 5 years in the future the colleague focused on that.

You know....not a big deal or anything....

Oh and Miuna just let it slide right in that she heard the noise too. Look at me, look at me I can be important to Hikari too. What do you mean you heard the noise? What do you mean you were in the ocean today? WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU FELL IN?! ….What do you mean you could swim and breath underwater? Like I predicted last episode Kaname coming back was going to overshadow this amazing event and almost be forgotten. Like oh didn't I tell you I bought this shirt last week kinda deal. Only it is a super big deal. SUPER!!!! Ms. I can't even swim this close to the ocean. How can this be?! This is what you should be investigating Mr. Colleague, not glass breaking. I like how later it was brought up that Akari's little boy might have the same issue but never Tsumugu. Doesn't work on Grandpas from the sea?

Sugar? Yes it must be love.

Once everyone was over this initial shock it was finally time for Kaname to get some rest. So where will the boy stay? Well clearly not at that Sayama's house. That is his name right? The kid whose dad owns the Market? Yeah he can't stay there. No no to fully get the soap opera affecting Kaname must stay at Tsumugu's house. He is like adopting people and putting people up left and right. Where does the money come from? Gramps seems down for the count (and probably wasn't making that much money anyway) Tsumugu is a college student as is Chisaki, and Kaname is 14. So...we won't think about that or how every part of this town needs a fresh coat of paint. Instead we will watch Kaname look on as Tsumugu and Chisaki act like an old married couple. Poor Kaname. To Tsumugu's credit he didn't rub it in Kaname's face...although I don't know if he knows to be jealous. I think Tsumugu likes Chisaki that way but Tsumugu doesn't feel that way. She better not because if she has three different choices of guys (even if Hikari was never really possible) I will pull my hair out. No she seems more distracted about the fact Manaka is coming back soon and that means bye bye Hikari. Guess you should have spent more time with him yes? Poor Kaname.

How dare you come back! Don't you know how that will affect my life?!

As the teacher tells the class that another student has woken up from the sea Miuna was excited. Finally things were going right. Even if Hikari (and his uniform....) were slightly put out he was no longer the shiny new toy in the room. Sayu being jealous over Kaname would have to end now that he was back and oh yeah Miuna can swim and breath underwater meaning she and Hikari can bond! How can this get any better? Well..I guess Sayu could be more excited so Miuna could share the good news. I mean....while drinking their strangely shaped drinks (those must be fun to stack) you could tell Sayu was having a hard time. She built up this store that she was going to go to the big city and have a career there alone because...Kaname wasn't there and why settle for any other guy? She didn't want to be like Miuna pinning away for some guy but then grew jealous when Miuna got her guy back. So Sayu was full of emotions. Eventually it was decided that she and Miuna were not going to give up because..Manaka isn't there and Chisaki is an old lady. XD They have a chance now.

Ain't no one listening to you!

Because this show is 90 percent about feelings and 10 percent the supernatural Sayu and Kaname did meet briefly on the walk home. Sayu had just gotten done having her peptalk with Miuna whereas Kaname was busy having a walk down memory lane. Stupid bridge that almost squished him. Can I say that Sayama is a pretty nice. Started off as a jerk but he seems to be really helping out the family business and is genuinely friends with all the sea kids and is happy to see them. Yeah I like him more than Chisaki. So anyway Kaname was getting attention while wanting to be alone with his thoughts when he saw Sayu across the street. Suddenly all the yes we can moments she and Miuna had meant nothing. Time to get embarrassed and run. Can't say that I blame her. In her head he was always older than her and it was a little crush. Now that things could actually happen and he is really back Sayu is overwhelmed. MOG it could happen kind of overwhelming. Plus the girls in this show like to run away at the slightest thing anyway so you know...

Trying to be serious here!

After Chisaki chased Sayu away it was time for Kaname and Chisaki to have embarrassing moments. Or some truthful ones. Everyone is tip toeing around the subjects. Have you changed? Have I changed? What does change really mean? Everyone is talking about their hearts because obviously the land people have changed physically. I am not sure what answer Kaname was looking for. But Chisaki gave him the she hasn't changed one which means she has love for Hikari. I guess that is good for Kaname since...he thinks Tsumugu has worked his way in. Given that Kaname has been asleep for the past 5 years he didn't have time to change so he is still team Chisaki. Older woman my butt. XD I really do wonder how this is going to play out. I mean..it is a little eyeball rolling that no one likes the person that likes them. A bit...more than eyeball rolling I mean. How is this even statistically possible? Broken hearts for everyone.

We shall spend 1 minute on this and then go back to feelings.

Oh by the way Miuna has ena now folks. Not a big deal. We need to focus on the feelings and what not more than the fact that Miuna magically gained ena. I am sure it has something to do with her parents and not everyone on land is getting ena. Or maybe that is the case and half children are getting them first. I really thought this was going to be a big deal. Like test my little boy out too and get Tsumugu up in this place. I am sure there are others who just haven't come forward. While Colleague was trying to focus on the science Miuna was focused on how she and Hikari really could become one now. We have so much in common...including a brother/nephew. But yeah instead of being started at these new changes in her life Miuna was like YAY HIKARI!!!

Eff you and your dreams!

Since there was one moment of happiness we needed to bring the show down on multiple levels. Sayu was in no mood to hear about the ena. In an attempt to find Sayu Miuna heard things she shouldn't have. Kaname and Hikari were trying to have a moment, two boys going through similar things, girls that don't love them loving other people and waking up to a world changed. Still no matter what Hikari wants to save Manaka even if she loves Tsumugu who loves Chisaki who loves Hikari. That is just the kind of person Hikari is. I guess the other times that Hikari has talked about this Miuna didn't hear. She was rather young at the time and was caught up in liking Hikari, not focusing on who he liked. So she had to run off upset about this fact and found Sayu in her go to crying spot. Despite knowing all of this Miuna still wants to try for Hikari while Sayu has decided that they are sick. That wordage was a bit dramatic. I mean....I guess technically they are sick if they expect different results while knowing the truth. But Sayu was slowly having a Chisaki moment there with her pity party. Miuna was busy being determined to get Hikari which means she was acting like Hikari? I don't know so much drama in 5 minutes of anime time. Oh did I mention that Chisaki ran into Kaname 4 seconds after her fight with Miuna and her crush resurfaced? Stop lying to yourselves...and maybe get some new blood in this town. We need new people to like.

Onward to save my love's love...who doesn't love him.

Wow all my posts are getting so long. Guess I better wrap it up. The episode ends with the colleague and Tsumugu discovering that a new current has formed, maybe creating the sound that Kaname and Miuna heard. Maybe they can reach the town and find out the secret behind this weather. Now that Miuna and better hearing that Hikari and Kaname apparently she is going on this magical trip too. I guess there are no adults to help them but I think it is really odd that Chisaki didn't go. I know the boys told her not to go but that is her home too and she is from the sea. What right do they have to tell her not to go? Why wouldn't she insist on going? It is almost like Chisaki is allowing things to happen to her and around her without any input. I really don't know what is going on in this crazy girl's head. Miuna was over the moon to help Hikari but she realized that by helping Hikari she might find Manaka and she will lose him forever. That is love folks. A bunch of crazy teenage love. Crash into that ocean and find the source of the GLASS BREAKING. Onward to the water!

Nagi no Asukara episode 16

Good morning! Or really right now good afternoon. We originally had plans to go to St. Augustine today since none of my friends cares about football. I don't think any of us even know who is IN the Super Bowl. But it is looking really rainy outside today. :( I guess it is better than cold but St. Augustine is all outside so....I think we shall stay inside today. Which means anime time right? Oh and Pokemon time. Been on a huge Pokemon kick lately. Caught all the Pokemon possible in my game besides the Runner (Flyer) so onward to breeding and wonder trades weee!

Just got something in my eye that's all....for a long time...

So are you ready for some football?!...Me neither. Anime weeee! Up now is Nagi no Asukara episode 16. Spoilers for Miuna and Sayu making everything about them. I kid I kid...maybe.

Well....he has existed longer anyway...

Episode Summary: Hikari is introduced to his new classmates by his old teacher. Hikari seems to take this in stride, saying he is now their superior WOOHOO! Everyone else seems okay with this as well. During break Hikari is approached by his new classmates as he is a shiny new toy. Miuna seems odd about this situation, as Hikari is being his normal self. So she has decided to be her normal self. Sayu decides to be her mature self and makes sure that Hikari is not overwhelmed during class. There is some talk about how Hikari is basically Miuna's Uncle but Miuna ignores that. Miuna and Hikari walk home from school together where Miuna is all lost in her romantic thoughts about Hikari while remembering he is a sad little panda. Could a relationship work between them? At that moment the boy who confessed to Miuna bikes by and in a panic Miuna runs up to him as he has figured out that Hikari is the one. Hikari looks on as the boy is a bit depressed. Said boy also points out that Miuna can't marry her relative. Miuna gets all frazzled and Hikari walks up to join her. Hikari thinks the boy and Miuna have something going on and Miuna gets embarrassed instead of denying it. They chase each other home and find Tsumugu there with his old junior high uniform. Hikari's was lost on the day of the festival and he thought Hikari would need it. Off Tsumugu goes before he spends too much time with his friend. Hikari tries on the uniform and it is way too big. Akari offers to mend it but after Hikari rants about Tsumugu being a giant he says he doesn't need this uniform or any other uniform. Akari insists and decides they will go to the BIG city tomorrow as everyone has off. The little boy is beyond happy while Hikari is like meh. Akari and her man find themselves with a moment of quiet. They talk about how it was nice of Husband to let Hikari live here and how they will get to spend some quality time together tomorrow. Well tomorrow comes and the little boy has the plague. Seriously he looked gross. So Hikari and Husband take the little boy to the hospital while leaving money for Hikari and Miuna to go to the city. Hikari really doesn't want to go and decides to make fun of the event by calling it a date. This freaks Miuna out and she decides to call Sayu for a safety bumper. Sayu waits for these two at the bus station. Well it turns out that Miuna doesn't want to think of this as a date but is wearing her fancy clothes and shoes. These new shoes make...well unpleasant noises and Hikari wastes no time in teasing the girl. The teasing reaches the station where Sayu is almost ignored and feels like the third wheel. Miuna tries to include Sayu but clearly it is too late.

Trying to be strong, trying to be happy for my friend.

They take a ride to the city where Hikari is sad to see it has changed as well. After more pig farting shoe jokes they make it to the tailor who talks about junior high schools closing and what not. Hikari really doesn't want the uniform but then Miuna loses her mind and tells the man to make Hikari his old under the sea uniform. Sayu stomps out upset and Miuna eventually makes her way outside. Sayu declares that she is leaving since she never should have come on this date anyway. Miuna is like it isn't a date and we aren't flirting. Sayu makes several jabs at Miuna, reminding the girl that Hikari is now her Uncle. Then Sayu reveals that she thinks Miuna is flaunting this happiness in her face and that Sayu doesn't have her love as he is in the sea. Miuna tries to defend herself and Hikari emerges from the store, deciding having a new uniform is too much for him to handle. Miuna runs off crying and Sayu slumps on the ground crying. Hikari is like what the hell?! He manages to drag Sayu to a phone booth so he can call and see if Miuna made it home. Akari doesn't seem that worried and Hikari is like RARW have to wait for the next train. Luckily Hikari's friend drives up and gives them a ride home. Hikari stops the ride short as he thinks he knows where Miuna is, the old fishing cannery thingy. He finds Miuna sitting and looking at the sea. She feels bad about the fight and Hikari says well all you girls are crazy, Manaka and Chisaki used to fight all the time. Miuna looks more at peace but really can't tell Hikari what the fight was about. She does decide that she needs to make up with Sayu and put aside her feelings for Hikari at this moment. Suddenly one of the old cranes crashes down and Miuna is pushed into the water. Apparently this girl lives 4 feet from the ocean and still can't swim. She starts to panic but then...she thinks she can swim and breath underwater. She starts to swim and sees the old sea city when Hikari appears and pulls her up. He starts to yell at her for being so careless when Miuna starts going on about the magical thing that just happened. Before Hikari can understand the situation Sayu appears crying as she thought something bad happened to her friend. All is forgiven! Elsewhere in town a naked Kaname is seen asking what day it is. THE END!

But I can breath? Doesn't anyone care that I can breath underwater?

So...I am just going to hate Chisaki forever. Maybe Tsumugu too. But mostly Chisaki. Definitely Chisaki. All that sympathy for her has gone out the window. Even though I think I already said that....

Since there was no picture of Chisaki this episode...this sums up how I might feel.

The thing is Chisaki wasn't even in this episode. One might ask why I am hating so hard on her if she wasn't even around to tick me off. Well that's the point. Where was Chisaki this episode? Hikari just woke up from the sea. 5 years have gone by. Things are changing. Rearranging. Cue a song. I know she and Hikari had a moment on the hill. Like oh thank goodness Chisaki hasn't changed. Apparently that was enough for Chisaki. She doesn't need to show up every day for Hikari. I mean....I guess she is just super busy. You know, visiting her not Gramps in the hospital and taking her nursing classes. She is much too busy to call Hikari. This is me poking my eyes out. I mean logically I know Chisaki is having her feelings too and she does have a life now whereas Hikari has been put on pause. Just....Chisaki liked Hikari the best and she is treating him this shabby. What will happen to poor Kaname? Chisaki is going through a lot and I guess I just can't put aside that she should be there for Hikari since she is the only one who might understand.

So...on to the episode. As stated by the Boyfriend (now The Husband) later Hikari is putting on a brave face. Pretending everything is okay. Because that is what boys do. Everything is okay because I am a manly man. I wear shorts during Snowegedeon and crack beer cans on my head. Things like being left all alone at the bottom of the ocean doesn't bother me. Call me sensei, you new potential friends. Hahaha , all is well. Yeah poor Hikari. I wonder if he will make friends with the new kids in his class besides Miuna and Sayu. He must feel older than the other new kids but his old friends are older than him. That's a big deal in Japan so...Hikari could have a lot of friends or none? How will the two groups get along?

So Miuna is the niece to an octopus?

I like how Sayu was trying to keep things real with Hikari. Normal if you would. Like hello octopus head. And she was trying to help her good intentioned classmates away from Hikari. I can see how this is all totally overwhelming and she is telling them to back off in a way that is gentle (for Sayu) while making sure Hikari doesn't look like the baddie. I think Miuna wants to help more but due to her crush on Hikari it's hard for her to be objective? Or really she doesn't want to get all embarrassed. Or worse....put in the friend zone! Hikari seems blissfully unaware that Miuna has a crush on him. Like unbelievably unaware. Which makes sense because Hikari was caught up in his own love pentagon. 5 years ago and wouldn't have thought to consider Miuna in that way. Now that they are the same age he might become aware of it...later. But for now he is “Uncle” and their classmate riding along on the bike is more of a match than Hikari is. If I was Miuna I would have cried if Hikari assumed that. Not this mock teasing crap.

Add uniforms to the list of things that make Hikari sad but he has to push through.

So...in Japan do they not sell the actual uniforms at said school? Because...that doesn't make much sense to me...at all. Like go to the school store since they have to be specific. Anyway Hikari needs a uniform and Tsumugu's doesn't fit. Thanks for the drive by appearance by the way. Couldn't stick around to talk to your friend? For some reason Akari was not given Hikari's belongings after the day of sadness. You know, so they could have a memory box for him. Anyway this not having a uniform turned into a deal. Surprise he was allowed to go to school without one. Actually I am surprised Hikari is going to school so fast. Maybe he wants to get back to “normal”. Of course his classmates aren't there and his teacher sounds different....

For nothing!

Anyway it is time for a family outing. Hikari needs new clothes. That he doesn't want because it brings back memories. Again I think Akari could be doing a better job at helping Hikari adjust. F for everyone. But at least...she is trying. Maybe Akari assumes she was never going to see Hikari again so she already said goodbye to him. That this entire situation is weird for her. Well I think it's weird that she thanked her husband for allowing Hikari to say. Like um it's automatic crazy. Still..I guess this is a big adjustment for their family and finances. And privacy. Family outing here we come.

But the omelet!

Or or...Akari's little boy got sick and had to go to the doctors. I thought little hommie had the chicken pocs. He was so looking forward to going. :( Guess they don't make it to the city often due to work. :( No omelet for them. He is so disappointed. So while Poppa and Akari take the little germ machine to the doctor. Miuna and Hikari are supposed to go to the city and buy said uniform. But because this is a soap opera we can't just go. No no, it has to be dramatic. We can't go out together alone because it's a date?! Craziness. More drama just to get Sayu involved.

Did you forget that I am not happy?!

I think...Sayu handled things well. Considering. I do think she was slightly sensitive to the entire situation. I wouldn't call what Miuna and Hikari were doing flirting. Maybe being playing. They are “family” and Hikari deserves to have some laughs. But....flirting? No. Sayu is just...upset because Kaname is not here. Almost like Miuna is rubbing the situation in her face. Which I don't think Miuna did on purpose. She was just happy and trying to make things normal for Hikari. Was Miuna being selfish? I don't know. I really didn't think Sayu liked Kaname as much as Miuna liked Hikari. But still...I think I see Sayu's point. Both of them missed “their boys” and now that Hikari is back Miuna forgot about chicks before dicks. Miuna is so caught up in everything else she forgot that Sayu didn't get her happy ending. Just...it's a hard situation to get mad at Miuna with but Sayu had good points.

Oh snap, you really are a teenager. X___X

These good points might have been lost though when Sayu made some pot shots at Miuna. Like um, isn't he your Uncle?! Kinda hard to see if Sayu was really happy for Miuna if she is capable of saying something like that. Which...isn't true. More like step Uncle, no blood. Is it creepy? I don't know but I have read some creepy things in Japan so this doesn't see like a big deal to me. Anyway the 14 year old girls were acting like 14 year old girls, crying and being dramatic. Hikari was also slightly dramatic too with his whole I don't want a uniform bit. But he walks out of the store to escape the drama to find more drama. Hikari must not be a good runner as he doesn't go after the person high tailing it out of there. Like um what is going on here?

Err...girl is crying....how to handle this...

After dragging Sayu off the ground and having a super not caring conversation with Akari (like oh Miuna is missing.....) Hikari slowly made it out of the city. With a little help from old time school friend Sayu and Hikari made it back to their little town with a pit stop when Hikari thought he knew where Miuna was. This town isn't that big and the teenage girls like to stop at the defunked cannery place. Something to do with fish. Miuna and her fart shoes were sitting down and having a cry. Of course when Hikari rolled up Miuna couldn't just tell Hikari what was wrong without outing herself so she had to speak in circles. Be vague. Which I think was fine with Hikari as he is a boy and doesn't really want to find himself in this mess anyway. Like um why so angry sorta deal. At least he was trying, talking about how girls often get mad and forgive each other just as fast. Not sure who he was talking about. I think boys are less likely to hold grudges. Still Hikari was able to help Miuna see the light and that she needs to mend things with Sayu without knowing he was the problem.

Too bad Kaname isn't here to help now...OH WAIT 5 MINUTES!

Just as Miuna was ready to make things right with Sayu a piece of leftover equipment falls and knocks Miuna into the ocean. Given the current situation I am surprised it didn't hit her. We need one less kid in this love triangle or no one is going to be happy. I kid I kid...I think. Anyway Miuna falls into the water and since it takes Hikari about 2 minutes to find her....because it is so hard...Miuna has time to freak out. Like MOG I live so close to the ocean and both my moms are from the sea and I never learned to swim I am going to die....Only she didn't. She didn't drown or anything. Suddenly she could breath under water and swim. X___X And she was okay with that. Not freaking out the other way. Instead of going to the surface Miuna was like woohoo look at me swim!!!! I can do it, I can do it! Don't take me out of the water Hikari, this is where I want to be.

Err...hello naked Kaname?

So when Hikari does finally fish Miuna out of the water what happens? Miuna tries to tell Hikari about this major and miraculous event and....he acts like it doesn't matter. Like um hello this is a big deal. Miuna was breathing underwater. Didn't drown. Act like this matters. But I guess Hikari and Sayu (who never went home) were too busy crying over the fact that Miuna did not drown. Still I hope that this important topic is discussed like 5 minutes later, after Miuna and Sayu mend their tiny cracked friendship. But since a naked Kaname has been spotted walking around the town I am guessing he is going to be more of the focus...just a thought. Until next time!

Duffy the Disney Bear Adventures: Happy Birthday at Disney World

More Happy Birthdays to me! I am a spoiled bear indeed.

It's my birthday and you are buying another stuffed animal...but I guess it's a Hello Kitty so it's okay.

Last week mom and dad decide to go to Disney World to celebrate my birthday. Gosh them having to wait for days off and stuff. Why can't we just go to Disney everyday. I guess we won't have much money. And it wouldn't be as special when we did go. XD But yes last weekend was super fun. Here are a few pictures from my birthday celebration. XO By the time mom got me last year these were already out of the stores! Some nice lady at Build a Bear must have put these here for me.

After some shopping and driving we are finally at Disney World! Mom has this book where you can find all these Hidden Mickeys at the parks and hotels. Like hiding in things. XO I will help find some too.
