Let the 2012 London Olympics begin!!!

Hello there my lovely readers! Happy Hunger Games!!! And may the odds...wait wrong set of games. X__X My bad.
Photobucket
The bridge really makes up for the torch being inside. Also I stoles all these pictures from the internets in case it wasn't obvious.
The 2012 Olympics have started! Rejoice the masses!!! I meant to post this DURING the opening ceremonies but apparently I got too caught up in actually watching them. Silly, silly me.
Photobucket
I miss the pandas!!!!
But yes. The 2012 Summer Olympics have official started. And while I am as athletic as a sloth (maybe those animals are more athletic than me...) I do enjoy watching these events. Normally sporting events tend to...well bore me. No offense obviously to those who watch sporting events all the time. I am not sure what it is about the Olympics that captures my attention but I get caught up in the sappy stories, the national pride people exhibit, and the overall theme of sportsmanship and bringing the world together. Well in theory anyway. XD
Photobucket
What is the red structure for?
While I am on team USA I wish all the athletes a good and safe time at the Olympics and hope the best person/team wins. Everyone try your best and make your nations proud. Getting to the Olympics is more than what most people can do in their lifetime so these athletes need to be cheered on whether they win a medal or not. Good luck and have the time of your lives.
Photobucket
Hands down the best part of the show. Loved the dramatic poses the fancy hat crew did.
And since I didn't blog this while watching the Opening Ceremonies...well I can comment on what I saw. XD And what I saw was a lovely hot mess. I mean I did like most of the segments, all but the random party house one. I just felt they didn't connect very well with each other. Going from Brave to the Industrial Age was the best part of the show. But suddenly there is a hospital full of kids with Mary Poppins fighting bad dreams and some girl losing her cellphone during a party throughout the decades. Individually these ideas sounded good but I am not sure I was feeling the flow.
Photobucket
Is this really happening before my eyes?!
Of course none of the Opening Ceremony matters because the Queen went all 007 on us. X__X But the parade of nations was nice to watch and I love seeing how excited the athletes were. Plus maybe I am harsh on the London Opening Ceremonies because of the 2008 ones. XD In any event anime blog posts might be later than usual since I will be getting my judging on. Because during the Olympics I become a master of everything. XD

Yuru Yuri Season 2 episode 4

UGH! Ate too much foooooood. My tummy needs to be bigger. I want to eat my entire meal like a normal person, not part of it now and some of it later. Like some crazy bird. Arg my poor tummy. If I had ice cream there would surely be room for it but nothing else. Ugh. Falling asleep and rolling off the bed as we speak.
Photobucket
Let us entertain you now!!
Now that I have entertained you with gross stories…its anime time! Thankfully nothing gross happened in episode 4 of Yuru Yuri. Then again nothing major happened either. Oh never mind I lied. Spoilers for tissues and nosebleeds!
Photobucket
Only cure against allergies?
Episode Summary: Ayano is sneezing all over the place. She claims she has allergies yet has no tissues with her. For some reason Kyoko believes that yogurt can help stop allergies. Despite the fact that Ayano’s nose is pretty gross no one runs in fear from her cooties. She runs out of tissues someone gave to her early in the day and reusing tissues is apparently the worse thing in the world. Kyoko quickly passes her some tissues but apparently Ayano is creeped out or something. She becomes more creeped out later when Kyoko forces her to wear a gas mask. Ayano recovers and decides that she and other council members must clean the room. Sakurako turns into the biggest brat and starts cosplaying a maid who doesn’t clean. Himawari keeps her mouth shut for the most part, asking Sakurako to help out. Ayano takes a more active approach and somehow this leads to her precious expensive pudding being on the line. Sakurako seems to think if she does the bare minimum she gets Ayano’s pudding. Chitose and her nose bleeds tries to save the pudding but she actually promises it to Kyoko instead. Because that is romantic in her head. Kyoko had just returned to her club room with ice cream so she gives it to Ayano as a thank you trade. Ayano then worships the ice cream in the fridge which leads Sakurako wanting that instead.
Photobucket
Take that dirt!!!
Ms. Nana and her super late self arrives to school and the student council asks her to fix their broken clock. Instead of fixing it in conventional ways she turns it into a helicopter and a barking dog. Ayano is especially annoyed with all these antics. Ms. Nana starts talking about how this is a promise she made to herself when she was younger. She grew up alone with only a robot dog for companionship and when he stopped working she promised herself she find a way to fix him. Or really she exploded something when she was younger and that is why she is the way she is. The girls demand their tears back and a normal working clock. The Amusement Club is shocked to see water falling from the sky and not an umbrella between them. Kyoko busts out a game she made during class that has super questionable squares that people keep landing on. As the game is a bust Chinatsu runs off to turn in a forgotten assignment. Yui asks the other girls what she should get Chinatsu as a White Day gift. Akari knows that Chinatsu loves Yui so she answers anything will be fine. Kyoko suggests that if you give someone something you like things will be fine. Yui has had experience with a Kyoko gift and is like um no way. Chinatsu manages to find two umbrellas and is so happy with the rain gods that she can share an umbrella with Yui. The girls walk home and Akari manages to avoid getting splashed in the rain because she is such a minor character. THE END!
Photobucket
Back to randomness indeed.
Oh there we go folks. Last week was just a silly fluke. Here is the Yuru Yuri that everyone knows and apparently loves. All over the place and random. Psht just sticking to one subject/event would be silly. Silly I tell you!
Photobucket
Lets make everyday interesting weeeeee!
Of course…perhaps this is a better representation of what life is like..for everyone? Not every day can be amazing and full of fun. Sometimes work is boring, school is….well educational, and nothing of interest takes place. But snippets of the day and week can be interesting so…I guess that is what this crazy show is doing. Even if it seems random and copy/pasted together.
Photobucket
Um...that was a bit random but okay. I am glad to know that.
I know two people with allergies. Not just the sniffles but not quite eat this and DIE type allergies. So I can feel Ayano’s plain even if I don’t suffer from it. Of course maybe she should have own tissues. You know the ones they hand out for free during the weekends? Silly Ayano! Be prepared oh sneezing people. Also Ayano…I was unaware that tissues are one time use items. Like…unless your nose is flooded with gross things just fold up and reuse it again. Am I really getting into tissue usages?! X__X Maybe I should just move on….
Photobucket
Must not reuse!!!!
OH! Wait why don’t these fools have giant boxes of tissues? Chitose is always bleeding all over the place. They should have tissues in bulk or something. This is all so silly. But allergies are no fun. I love how Ayano can’t accept anything from Kyoko without thinking something weird is up. Usually because there is…..
Photobucket
Cleaning? What's that?
Next on the random list Ayano has decided that the council room needs to be cleaned. Probably a good idea, good on you o tissue queen. I think that everyone, especially Himawari, were really patient with the pain in the butt Sakurako. Like my gosh girl could you be any more annoying? Sometimes cleaning is no fun but necessary. The room isn’t that big and you spent most of the time playing. Grow up….even if you are only 12.
Photobucket
But what about my pudding?!
Ayano is a weird girl. Like…that is your special pudding you spent extra money on. It’s not like you brought pudding for everyone. It was pudding for yourself. So tell Sakurako that. Tell her she needs to clean the room and her reward is…nothing. The pudding is yours. Chitose trying to save face for you…could have worked. Sakurako didn’t walk with you so eat the pudding in the hallway and call it a day. XD Oh and learn to say no to that weird kid.
Photobucket
All hail the ice cream gods!
I have been known to horde treats sometimes to the point where they have to be thrown away cause they are so old. I may or maybe not still have lemon heads from the Mickey’s Halloween Party last year. That being said I am not sure Ayano was doing the same thing. Almost like she set up a shrine to worship all that is Kyoko. Perhaps next time she will set up this shrine in her own fridge at home. Greedy Sakurako.
Photobucket
Are we a lie?
It is always weird to see Ms. Nana and Rise. Mainly because they are such minor characters it is almost like I have no connection to them. Which is weird as Rise is the president despite how much Ayano seems to be in charge. Will Rise ever get her voice back? She is a bit creepy….also she got out of cleaning the room didn’t she?!
Photobucket
Not the fake doggie!!!
Ms. Nana and her story of the robot dog….was weird. Even if the story had been true I would have worried. Her best friend was a robot dog? At least have an invisible friend or something. I kept making the @_@ face during that whole story. Yes my eyes really do make those shapes. Do you believe my story? XD
Photobucket
Congrads on not dying?
The real story, about how Ms. Nana became interested in explosions was a bit more understandable. It would have been better had she passed out and that was her first thought when she woke up. Despite all that nonsense…I actually liked the cute clocks she made. Sure it was pointless but a clock flying over to you is fun! Clocks are pointless anyway if your cellphone is glued to your hand so have some fun with it.
Photobucket
Oh hi there random moment.
I hate walking around in the rain! I tend to wear jeans that are too big for me…or maybe jeans are just made for people who are 5’7” and I am not. So when it rains my pants are getting all wet which causes them to weigh a million pounds and sometimes the water crawls up to my knees. So I look like I fell in a puddle every time it rains. This relates to the post because it rained in Japan and I got wet. Duh.
Photobucket
No one wants to collect 200 Kyoko kisses. XD
Kyoko and her game was a bit scary. Of course she did make it class so it couldn’t have been that been elaborate. And she also made it for certain people to land on certain squares. So when everyone started landing on the square and things got weird…yeah it was awkward. At least everyone knew it was awkward and they moved on quickly from that moment.
Photobucket
Maybe get her a barking clock?
Yui wanting to thank Chinatsu for the Valentine’s Day gift from hell is nice. Even if the gift looked like crap. But….didn’t Akari give her a gift too? Akari didn’t state who she gave chocolates too but I am assuming she gave her friends chocolates. Akari where is your moment of HEY?! XD Oh wait your hair was too busy being little ghost rain charms. Carry on being forgotten.
Photobucket
Well then...good thing they had those umbrellas.
The episode ends with sharing umbrellas and cars splashing water all over the girls. Don’t you hate that when it happens? You really can’t blame the cars because do you want them to go all over the road avoiding puddles. That could lead to crashes and such. Still it sucks. And this episode was special. Not as special as the Blood-C movie sounds but….a salad of events and me without a fork. Or ice cream. :( Stupid budgets!!! Maybe I should have just told my own little life stories in this post instead of doing this episode. Silly Tenchi!

Blood-C The Last Dark movie: Was it worth the wait?

Last year at this time I was looking forward to a new show called Blood-C. Being familiar with the Blood franchise I knew Saya was going to be some sorta of vampire/monster/human hybrid and was going to slash up some monsters and blood would flow. With CLAMP included in this project how could it fail?
Photobucket
What do you mean you didn't think the movie was going to do well?!
Well it did folks. I hope everyone reading this has watched the series (not necessarily the movie but there will spoilers for that too) but except for the twist at the end, that the entire town including Saya’s friends were in on this massive secret…the show was extremely boring. Yes people died in gruesome and creative ways but the censors prevented any of us from seeing the violence (now available on BLU-ray!) Yet despite how slow the show and Saya were there were defenders of this show. That this was all a set up for the most epic movie ever and that the slow pace was necessary to build up to bigger and better things. Well now that the movie is out and I have read some people’s takes on it…was it worth the wait? Did all the questions from the TV show get answered? Did the slow pace of the anime make the movie that much more magical?
Photobucket
Thanks for the new sword. Payment? Maybe later!
Writing a review on something I have not watched yet is odd. Hopefully not inaccurate since I have tried to find out as much as I can about it. Someone update Wiki already! But from what I have read…this amazing movie….was not so amazing which makes the anime series a waste of time and everyone who supported the show should be going WOE IS ME! Woe is you indeed! This movie let you all down.

Since I haven’t seen the movie I can’t give a synopsis on what happened. I just know bits and pieces. But the pieces I do know have made my brain explode in HAHAHAHA More like Blood C Left in the Dark! Several bloggers have stated that major plot points from the anime that people were expecting to be answered in the movie weren’t! To me that would be Watanuki’s involvement in this hot mess and what the hell Fumito is doing torturing Saya.
Photobucket
There are rules you say? Never heard of these RULES!
Well lets just say that the movie decides the most important rule EVER in XXXholics no longer matters. Apparently Saya can just walk into the shop and take what she wants with NO payment at all. Some people have stated maybe Saya disappearing might have been the price for the sword but I am not buying that. The terms are talked about up front, even if Yuuko or Watanuki are vague about what exactly those details are. To say OH you can owe me…nope not buying it.
Photobucket
Clearly his master plan was to steal something of Watanuki's and look just as depressed as him. I see now.
Fumito was the mastermind behind Saya verses the old ones. In the anime series it appeared he was trying to prove something. Whether or not Saya could overcome her urges if she was given new memories and what not. If Saya won and remained herself she would get something. If he won he could get something. Well it appears that this SOMETHING involved a kiss. Again haven’t seen the hot mess of the movie myself but that is what I have been reading. Like really!? REALLY!? Well and she got to kill humans IE him but what was up with the kiss then?! Add in the fact that part of Fumito’s plan revolves around Tokyo teenagers and hackers and I am left saying…wft? No like seriously what the hell was the point of all of this?! People who have seen the movie are unable to answer this, that they know characters are doing things but are unclear why they are doing them.
Photobucket
Wait I am still alive at the end of this?! SO SHOCKED!
Oh and in another surprising turn of events…Saya is actually able to protect someone. Shocking I know as Saya’s record was less than...existing. I believe she saved 2 people in the entire town (which all died anyway but you know…). So the fact that Saya was able to keep someone alive that long surprises me. Totally goes against the anime but maybe Saya having her brain blown out made her smarter. Maybe she sensed the girl actually liked her (like really, REALLY liked her) and that motivated to keep someone honest alive.
Photobucket
Looks like we have seen most of one battle just in the trailers!
I don’t even know why I blogged this without seeing the movie. I guess I didn’t want to wait the 6 months it would take to get a copy of it for myself. I am just so mean, doing cartwheels over something failing so hard. I do wish I had a full synopsis of the film so I could truly laugh all over the place. But the news that there are only 3 action scenes (the ones all over the trailers I am guessing) and that most of the big questions are never answer just seemed too good to pass up. It appears the anime and the movie are both the same: disappointing and sad. HAHAHA!
Photobucket
Lets take a bath together so people will have a reason to watch the movie.
This all being said I will still watch the movie because I want to see things get slashed and squished. It will just be easier knowing that yes in fact the movie is going to suck and just enjoy the ride to crazytown. Unless I get shot in the head too and change my mind about everything. That Fumito and him using the old ones makes sense and this is the best movie ever! XD

Hyouka episode 14

X___X I don’t think I have time for an opening paragraph because I need to go plant a money tree in the bathtub. We have no jar so I thought that would be the best place to plant it. But yes apparently we are getting pulled in many directions of fun over the last half of the year. So sad my first world problems. :( So let me go tend to this tree and hope my cat doesn’t eat all the leaves off before they bloom.
Photobucket
Eru creating a new type of hand shaking weee!
With zombies, serial killers, and Jigsaw in the background I am chugging along with my blogging. Up now in terms of anime is something that is none of those things. XD Hyouka episode 14! Spoilers for people cooking and celebrating Halloween!
Photobucket
I saw a deranged Santa tonight and now this?
Episode Summary: Mayaka starts off day two of the festival with an apology. She tells her older club member that she couldn’t find the manga she was talking about. The older club member pretends not to be interested and says it is no big deal. She says that they all have to start working on posters to advertise their club. Mayaka is confused that the matter was dropped so fast. The Classic Club meets briefly talk about their game plan. Mayaka says she might be late to the cooking competition but promises to try. Satoshi says he has to check in with the committee but will be back soon. Houtarou sets to work…sitting in the club room and being bored. Eru walks on down to where Irisu is with her class. She asks if Irisu will help them by selling a few copies. Irisu agrees but says that Eru needs to work on her approach in asking people. After a few pointers the lesson turns into…Eru is cute so ask boys. While this is all going on Houtarou is visited by a few pumpkins who are passing out treats as their contribution to the festival. One of the pumpkin girls loves the toy water gun Houtarou has so he uses that to barter for some treats. As a bonus gift the pumpkin heads give Houtarou some flour.
Photobucket
Here I am with my random bag of flour guys!
As Houtarou accepts his snacks the cooking competition is about to start. Each member has twenty minutes to make a dish and is not allowed to talk to anyone on the bench. Satoshi is the first to start as he has particular dishes he wants to do. Eru worries the entire time as Satoshi is slow and seems forgetful. But his dish is finished on time and Eru is up next. Satoshi spends his time freaking out as well. Eru is such a good cook she makes many dishes…but uses all the ingredients. Mayaka is super late getting to the competition because she was drawing a serious poster. But when she gets there she only has an onion to work with. She can only stand there and look helpless. Eru hears Houtarou calling out and Satoshi goes to the window to see what is wrong. There Houtarou passes down the bag of flour and Mayaka is able to use all the scrapes to make a meal despite the fact she was missing her ladle. Everyone is judged and the Classic Club wins the competition. Mayaka is slightly rarw about the missing ladle but Eru discovers that it was stolen by the Festival Bandit. THE END!
Photobucket
Mayaka is about to bash in some skulls folks!
XO It is the festival that never ends! It keeps going on and on my friend. And then someone put that little puppet in a wood chipper and the entire world rejoiced XD But really on with this episode…and the festival.

The game of magical/musical trade items continued and might have ended this week. Houtarou and his SUPER bored self was greeted by a pair of traveling crazies. I think their business model was best. Why have a booth in a bad corner of the school when you can travel with your wares? Also selling cheap treats is always the way to go. Sure their costumes were a bit scary…..but I guess they at least kept the theme right? Trick or Treat!
Photobucket
Who carries around floor?
But yes back to the if you give me this I will give you that. Houtarou and his bored self has not been able to explore the festival yet but he seems interested in something. Maybe everyone is interested in cookies. So instead of paying for the cookies himself he is going to use his random useless item (the water gun) and one of his anthology to get some treats. He is the one who initiated the trade this time which is something new. I probably wouldn’t have left the gun on the table nor would I run around a school wearing a mask and carrying a gun trying to sell cookies…but Houtarou got rid of his gun…and gained a random bag of floor these characters were carrying around. Oh I sees.
Photobucket
But I thought we were fighting?
Mayaka and her manga club didn’t have THAT much drama this week. I say that much because I think something is up with her upper classman. She was much more mellow this week. Almost like she read the manga Mayaka was talking about and agrees with Mayaka thus isn’t going to push the issue. She didn’t push it when Mayaka showed up empty handed because by not having the manga the upper classmate saves face too. Or maybe she wasn’t that invested in the fight. Either way I think Mayaka and everyone else was expecting a smack down fight and instead they got..make some posters. Oh I see.
Photobucket
Psht we have no time to fight...we must make posters!!!!
Speaking of making posters…why didn’t they make them at home last night? If they agreed they needed to do more advertising wouldn’t they want to do it bright and early in the day? Not MAKE the posters which eats up half the day? But I guess if they wanted to show off their manga skills that could possibly bring in an audience…maybe. XD But they did a good job yes?
Photobucket
Eru is making deals all over the place. XD
Eru is still on a quest to sell all these anthologies. Really Mayaka should be the one trying to fix her own mistakes but she is in two clubs and Eru is the president of the Classics Club. So off she goes to pawn off her problems on other people. XD Wish Satoshi’s advertising worked better. I thought he did a good job. Anyway Eru went to someone who owed her a favor which makes sense. Hello there Irisu! Remember that movie that Houtarou basically wrote? Well since your movie is about mysteries and our anthology has to do with mystery…sell it for us!
Photobucket
Everything she says sounds cool and creepy at the same time.
Putting aside how much work Eru is doing for so little money…dang Irisu. She is like the ultimate manipulator. XD Like bam this is how you make someone do something for you while still appearing to be a nice and happy person. She had some real good advice while being very calculating. But her most basic piece of advice was….Eru is cute and guys should give her her way. I see. I see indeed. I have cried my way out of two speeding tickets so I understand this advice well. Not sure if Eru got it though.
Photobucket
Ah yes....cooking.
Most of the episode was dedicated to the cooking contest. And it case anyone doesn’t know…I hate cooking. XD Eating is fine, better if it is dessert. But cooking to me is boring. Sometimes watching people cook on reality shows is fine but probably only when they are fighting. Basically it turns into a bunch of terms and phrases I am unfamiliar with and it’s not like you can taste the finished product. I think I watch Hell’s Kitchen to see how many times Gordon will call people donkeys. Don’t really think the food is that important.
Photobucket
These hand movements were just so helpful to the understanding process.
So that is my way of saying that the cooking portion of this show was slightly…lost on me. Add in the fact these are Japanese dishes and I was unfamiliar with most of the ingredients and terms….yeah. Just…focused on other things. Like how Satoshi and Eru were making the funniest faces because they couldn’t talk. That Satoshi was the slowest prep person ever. Oh and that Eru used up every single ingredient because she is the awesomest person ever.
Photobucket
Did I mention that Mayaka had the cutest hair in this episode?!
Mayaka being late and her having no ingredients really helped this event out. Like woohoo bring the drama this is making the event worth watching. Maybe the host should have played up the entire scene. Like what is this? Someone is leaving the field? A mysterious stranger has appeared in the window? What is that he is dropping?! Oh it looks like they have a SECRET INGREDIENT! XD But it was fun seeing them all run around and come together in craziness.
Photobucket
We are the champions!!!!
I wasn’t expecting the Classic Club to win this event yet lose the quiz show. I thought they got enough press simply with their name being announced so much. But they became the winners. Yay! Everyone buy a copy of their anthology so they can afford …..one ticket to Disney. I do wonder if the Go Club member is stalking Satoshi or something. That was a bit freaky yes?
Photobucket
I want my eyes to sparkle like too!!!
Did you know sparkly eye disease is contagious! Satoshi as a serious case of it going on right now. It appears that the missing club equipment is slowly adding up in his head. Of course one bottle of water isn’t that interesting but add in Eru knowing about the missing Tarot card, the Go stones, and now their much needed ladle…it’s mystery time people!!!! We gots ourselves a real thief rooming these hallways.
Photobucket
Lost as in it is in someone's pocket!
In conclusion…Houtarou better be enjoying all the rest he has had so far. Because I am sure that Satoshi and Eru will rush upstairs with their sparkle eyes and he will be forced to have fun at this festival. XD But it will all be for a good cause right? YAY FUN!!!

K-On!! the Movie!!!

Oh Lord folks. Just oh Lord. Anime truly is my escape in life as I can do it for free and it helps me to temporarily forget the troubles going on in my life. Of course…I should be paying for any form of entertainment…but you can’t hate on a girl who tries to support the industry in other ways right? I try anyway folks. So while I have big dreams about going on trips all the time anime is something I can do on a daily basis that helps washes away the crazy.
Photobucket
It certainly is! Couldn't wait to watch it.
So what WOOHOO anime am I so hyped up about?!Oh just a little one called K-On!! WOOHOO! The movie is finally out on DVD and that means someone(s) was hard at work subbing it for us poor English speakers. Everyone who couldn’t see it in theaters finally got a chance to see what the hype was all about. It got subbed super fast so thank you for all your hard work. Oh and you know…the people who made the movie too. Thanks. XD So here we go….K-On!! THE MOVIE! Enjoy. XD
Photobucket
So....we're being crazy again I see....
Movie Summary: Azusa is slowly gathering her stuff up so she can make her way to the club room. The older girls are already jamming away on what sounds like really punk rock music. Azusa walks in all confused. After the song the girls start fighting, some not liking that kind of music while others wanting to go that direction. It is stated the club might disbanded when Azusa figures out they were playing to a recording of Sawako’s band. Surprise lets just play a joke on Azusa. After they poke fun at themselves they decide it is time to eat treats and drink tea…as usual. The older girls talk about how all they have left to their high school careers is graduation. Sawako comes in and Yui and Ritsu have to pay homage to the band they just made fun of. As the older girls clean up the club room Yui thinks about what Sawako said about being graduates and what they will leave behind. They decide that they will leave Azusa a gift to show her how much she means them. Ui later tries to help Yui come up with an idea of what Azusa might like. Ui says the Light Music Club is Azusa’s favorite thing in the world though.
Photobucket
So famous they can't even leave the house.
Yui thinks about what to give her that night but at school the next day is sidetracked when she learns other clubs are going on graduation trips. They toy with the idea of going on a trip themselves but try to focus on the Azusa gift first. When Azusa comes in and startles the group they cover by saying OH we were planning…a trip. So the idea ends up turning into reality. Each senior girl picks where she would like to go: Ritsu Hawaii, Yui Europe, Mugi hot springs, and Mio London. After Yui cheats to win they decide Ton-chan the turtle will decide. After a long whole Ton-chan picks Mio’s cup full of food thus London wins (well and Yui too who has to be told London IS in Europe). Azusa is very shocked when she is invited on the trip too. Then ALL the girls call their mothers as the crazies were making plans without informing their parents. After they are all given a go they set out to get their tickets and such. Azusa ends up planning most of the trip which allows for the senior girls to decide what to get Azusa as a gift. Yui talks to Azusa’s guitar and it is decide they will write the best song ever for Azusa. Azusa walks in and somehow gets it in her head that Yui is planning on staying behind a year to be with her. Soon it is time to pack for their trip and Ui is there giving advice and food.
Photobucket
Yui has parents?!
All the girls minus Mugi bring their instruments in some shape which makes Mugi so sad. They get to the airport and have silly little antics with Mio being the most excited person in the history of ever. There are slight antics on the plane with Yui talking about time travel and planes being super fun but Yui takes the time to try and work on the Azusa song. They finally land in London where Mio almost loses her luggage. To celebrate finding said luggage Mio takes pictures of everything she sees. They hail a taxi and try to use their limited English to get to their hotel. There is a minor problem when they think they don’t have reservations but it turns out there is another branch in the city. They set out to find their hotel but get sidetracked with buy Azusa new shoes and trying to find a place to eat. They decide on a sushi place but are mistaken for the entertainment. Unable to communicate that they were mistaken the girls decide to go along and play some songs. Afterwards it turns out Ritsu’s friend and her band are in town and were set to play. In the end the girls make it to their hotel without dinner. Ui’s overpacking comes in handy as the girls snack all night. Azusa has a scary dream about Yui staying back and that causes her to start avoiding Yui. The next day the girls have a blast exploring London including taking pictures with dog poop cans and riding a giant Ferris Wheel. That night the girls try to work on the song thinking they might be inspired by this grand city. Azusa and Yui end up being weird with rotating hotel rooms though and no work gets done. They have another nice day sightseeing including stopping at a music shop.
Photobucket
Those outfits were cute though....
Late one afternoon Ritsu gets a call from a friend of the friend Ritsu knows. There is a Japan Culture Festival the next day and they wonder if the girls will play as well. Even though they will cut it seriously close to the their plane time the girls decide to do so. Mugi sends for her keyboard and they take all their stuff to the site. As the girls set up to perform Sawako appears! She used all her free points to get to London just to help the girls perform. They play quite a few songs and the crowd seems to think they are a hit. They scramble to make it to the airport but have fun while doing so. Azusa becomes exhausted and the girls are grateful she helped plan such a fun trip. When they return home they find out that some other clubs are doing a last concert type deal and decide they want to too. Sawako tries to help the girls out and thinks back to when her band did the same thing. Despite getting caught by the teacher Sawako was trying to protect them from the girls manage to play one last mini concert for their graduating class.

.....Not as touching. XD
With the concert out of the way the older girls set to work on the lyrics for the song. Mugi creates the melody rather fast and it is decided instead of making the best song ever they should just make a song like they usually do, the ones Azusa likes. Yui works especially hard and Ui, finding out what Yui is doing, gives her some helpful advice. Azusa is still convinced that Yui is staying back a year and is worried about graduation. After going through graduation the older girls run to the roof where Yui tells them the small changes in the lyrics she made. Everyone loves the song and express how nervous they are to play it for Azusa. They wait in the club room for Azusa to arrive. Azusa finally comes to the club room and the girls sit her down and play her song. This time scenes of the girls writing the song take center stage as to show different footage than when the song was played in the episode in season 2. Azusa brushes back tears and everything is rainbows and cupcakes. The girls walk home and marvel in the fact that they are college students. They wonder what will happen now and they decide that they are going on Azusa’s graduation trip as well. They break out into their traditional WEEE having fun run and THE END!!!

No I think the movie just cemented your popularity. No need to flip out!
XO Was the movie worth the wait? Was it worth some fans seeing the movie multiple times? Lets discuss what might be the last installment of K-On!! of course since the movie was so popular there might be ways to milk this franchise even more…but for right now the movie is the last piece of the K-On! puzzle.

Just like a normal episode of K-On!
Sometimes I forgot that some anime movies tend to be more like long anime episodes (or worse, simple recaps!). Like Eden of the East. There are some anime movies that play out as stand alone stories, away from the rest of the plot of the main series. I would classify K-On! as something in between. Yes a lot of the plot fit right in between certain episodes in the second season. But then parts of the movie stood alone, like the London parts. But if I had to pick only one way to describe the movie I would say it was more like a really long anime episode.

In Japan turtles make all the important decisions.
Which I think is okay? Not that it matters to anyone in the anime industry what I think but XD it’s okay I think. Obviously okay with Japanese fans. I guess in my mind I thought it was going to be more stand alone, especially when I learned that the gang was going to London. I was like MOG an entire movie without a school setting and all new material? While I still loved the movie it didn’t match up with what was in my head. Probably my fault but I thought there was going to be more London adventures.

Time to get out of school and go on a trip.
The scenes that did portray the school/Japan settings though were not recycled. Well except Azusa receiving her special song. That probably couldn’t be portrayed in any other way though so that makes sense. I guess I am pretty impressed how the writers were able to expand on events that were pretty much covered in the anime. The second season seemed to cover every single day of the girls lives so to be able to add on like this was a bit surprising but welcoming.

We must write a song that makes the whole world sing.
A lot of the movie focused on Azusa. Not that I am a Azusa hater. It was just weird that this club has 5 people in it yet 4 people were focused on Azusa and not anyone else. Like Mio and Ritsu were friends before the Light Club so if they went off and did their own thing it would make sense. And the 4 older girls were graduating! I mean…that is a major event in life and instead of focusing on themselves like should be expected it was Azusa Azusa Azusa. Was that done to show how lovely and amazing the 4 older girls were? In any event there was not enough Mugi and had the movie focused on her…I would be all for it. XD

Act completely natural!
That all being said it was sweet to see all the planning that went into the Azusa song. Like it just didn’t appear out of nowhere. A lot of thought and effort went into it. Viewers already heard the song so actually hearing the lyrics wasn’t the important part. It was to focus on the girls…focusing on Azusa and trying to make the best gift possible for Azusa. It got a little…special that Azusa kept almost ruining the surprise. Like oh we are talking about the song Azusa should be walking in right about now….Still sweet.

Trying to make a song for ungrateful Azusa is hard.
Something I didn’t think was really cute was Azusa being weird around Yui. Of course Azusa had to do something in light of everyone acting weird and I thought Azusa was going to go the sulking route. Which I would have hated too. Like boo hoo I am being left out so I will exclude myself even more type thing. So I know that Azusa had to do something since she was reacting to the obvious crazy events. But I guess it was just sad since Yui was probably working the hardest on the song and Azusa was being…special around her.

Oh...so we should go on one too! With our magic anime money weeee!
I know this is anime magic…but hot damn folks!!! These girls were like oh our friends are going on a club trip? We should too. Yeah lets just go to one of the most expensive cities on the planet. We will just walk down and book tickets on such short notice and it will all work out. BECAUSE THERE ARE MONEY TREES IN JAPAN!!! I mean I love how Mugi got her keyboard shipped to her and everyone was like wow must be nice to have money…but what about you other girls?!!? Who decides to go out of the country at a drop of a hat and it works?! Do you know where my class trip was to my senior year? DISNEY! Because we are two hours away from it. And some kids couldn’t go because their parents couldn’t afford it. So how did this all happen?!
Photobucket
Oh by the way mom can I have 2 thousand dollars? Thanks.
I mean the girls calling their parents after Azusa did was hilarious. Probably more so for Azusa as she thought the crazy people already did that and the fact she was the first to think of such a thing is hilarious. But shouldn’t they have asked their parents first so they could see how much money they could milk for this trip. Or have I gone about this all wrong and somehow this was club fund money? No no folks…that can’t be it. It just has to be anime magic. Like pay no attention to reality and focus on the girls having fun.

Mio was so fun in this movie!
SO I SHALL! I remember when I went to Japan last year how amazing everything was and how I needed to take pictures every five feet. Even if the things I was taking pictures of weren’t all that much different from things back home. XD So when Mio was off the plane and running I remember being like that. You spend your whole life surrounded by familiar things but the minute you go somewhere different your brain nearly explodes at everything that seems new. So Mio…I understand you. XD
Photobucket
Did I say plane ride? I meant time machine!
Oh the plane ride!!! I loved my overseas trip but the plane ride, especially the returning one, was not fun. K-On! has the ability to make everything seem like fun. Cute little face masks and everything. And where was all that jet lag? How dare my animes not be based solely in reality at all times. Airplanes indeed. I really liked their luggage though. So cute and functional! Bet they had fun trying to get those to the airport.

Second languages are hard Mugi! I totally understand.
For some reason I pegged Mugi as the best English speaker in the group. Maybe because she has been overseas before or maybe because she is always serving English tea. Mugi does get good grades and had her pick of colleges. But Mio being able to understand English made some sense too. She was able to understand things and write things. Just not speak it. But in any event I thought one of the two were going to know enough to get around London. XD Or at least have basic conversations. I say that and did I speak a word of Japanese in Japan? Of course not.
Photobucket
This moment was brought to you by anime magic.
Without that language barrier the entire sushi shop incident would not have happened! And since this movie was obligated to have a song every 15 minutes the sushi shop incident must take place! Even if it came out of nowhere and was incredibly creepy. XD I know the girls are special but do they really think London was that special? You must sing for your sushi? Mugi being adorable and demanding she be included instead of explaining the situation was my favorite part of course.
Photobucket
Yui has been infected. ZOMBIE!!!!
While I wish there were more London scenes (because I love looking at people’s vacations, even if they aren’t….real) the ones they had were super fun. Even the fact they didn’t have tea at that one restaurant. The only restaurant in London that had tea. Reservations!!!! But the Ferris Wheel, the shopping, and the hotel fun. XD The girls running around and having fun like they normally do but this time…in London. Also I approve of going to a new country and eating things from your own. Long live the Froot Loops!

Rice is the most important thing ever!
I love that the girls go overseas for less than a week yet have two performances. But I guess Sawako is worse or sillier I should say. Of course I like the Japan Festival performance better than the random sushi one. A lot more organized and such. I don’t know if I would have gone with Sawako’s outfit choice or not but they were cute either way. I am sure they spread lots of Japanese love that day even if it cut their trip short.

So lost all the way next door!
I feel as if I am picking on the movie in my post when that is not my intent at all. X__X I really did like the movie. Just pointing out silly things that made me go?? But I loved the running joke they had with Azusa’s name and how they were looking at their vacation pictures while still on vacation. XD Yui and Azusa running back and forth between the room, the way the girls pushed Azusa when her feet hurt from the new shoes, and the cute way they handled the language barrier. Overall it was the Light Music Club having fun in another country weee!
Photobucket
Mugi singing?! WOOHOOO!!!!
Since we already saw the presentation of the Azusa song that wasn’t anything new. It was just nice seeing all the effort that lead up to that point. Especially how Yui was really trying to get the lyrics right just for her little kitten. Silly Azusa you really thought Yui was going to stay back a year? XD But now knowing where the lyrics came from I better appreciate the song and maybe that was the whole point of the movie.
Photobucket
One last goodbye to everyone. So bitter sweet.
I love how there was another performance made by our love Light Music Club. Not sure how that fits chronologically with the second season but I am sure there was a few hours of undocumented time that they could squeeze in a performance and Sawako acting like a crazy person. Loved that she did the exact same thing in her year but things didn’t go over quite as well.
Photobucket
Aw don't make me cry. :(
But yes. I am glad the Club said goodbye to their classmates as well. A lot of their fellow classmates supported and really loved the club so why not say goodbye to them as well. They deserved that much. I expected there to be more crying though. Maybe the crying came later and this was their last few moments of fun as high school students. I thought it was a perfect thing for the club to do and I fully support any and all table dancing.

Yui was in shock folks!
I feel as if my post is not long enough given how long the movie was. X__X I do wish the girls would have had a tea time in London. Like what is wrong with you silly girls?! I love how they are already deciding to go on Azusa’s senior trip. Like yep we are going to be there silly girl just you wait. We got to see that Yui and Ui have parents SHOCKING and that they cared about their offspring’s well being. Oh and Nodoka exists if only for two seconds.
Photobucket
Moving on to her senior year weee!
In conclusion….this movie was lovely. I am sure people paid for multiple tickets to get the freebies but maybe they thought the movie was amazing enough to see again and again. While there is a lot of moe anime out there for some reason…K-On!! touches people differently. I know it does to me. XD Nothing seems to compare to this show about 5 girls do everyday and random things while sometimes breaking into song. I enjoyed the movie and it was worth the wait. But like with the girls graduating a bit bittersweet to think this might be the last animated version of K-On! we get…well until Azusa takes over the club of course.
