Fate/Zero Season Two episode 8

YAWN!!!! Such a lazy day lounging around the house. XD Just chillin and not doing much of anything. Surly more will be accomplished tomorrow. Unless there is more scary rain tomorrow. Then maybe there will be more blogging tomorrow? HAHA so silly.

Anyone else worried about Waver?

Okay. Let’s start this week off right with using the CORRECT episode numbers. Up now is Fate Zero Season Two episode 8!!! 8?! Where has the anime season gone? I need to do previews soon!! But after I catch up on the animes I am watching now of course. Spoilers for Kariya having the worst life ever!!!

Emiya gently getting information out of someone.

Episode Summary: Emiya has brushed aside his tears as he prepares to leave Maiya on the floor. He examines the bullets left on the ground, trying to make sense of what has happened. Suddenly something…disappears. Like a piece of cloth. He puts everything together and makes his way to Zoken’s house to bash in some Kariya skulls. Only the person he tries to get information out of has no idea where Kariya is. Saber in the meantime is chasing down who she thinks is Rider carrying Irisviel. She does so by nearly causing a million car accidents. She temporarily loses him but poof she spots him in the sky. With his chariot….and Waver. She chases him and Rider notices her on the ground. He was coming after her anyway so he decides to turn this into a race. They go up and down the highway as he takes to the ground and attempts to cause avalanches. Saber changes her motorcycle to catch up with the dup and is confused when she doesn’t see Irisviel. She quickly ends the battle using her ultimate spell while Rider underestimates how quickly she can power up. She leaves without saying a word and Rider and Waver are stuck in a tree with no way home.

Slightly misleading of course.

On top of some huge building Kirei and his new minion Kariya watch this all go down. Kariya had to use a few command seals on Berserker to get him to change his appearance and kidnap Irisviel. But Kirei replaces those seals and promises more as long as Kariya sticks with him. Kariya seems to think that Kirei is only a church official and seems to believe him. Kirei promises that Kariya can have his revenge on Tokiomi, if he goes to the church at midnight. Kariya goes on his way, thinking his days are numbered anyway. Kirei then addresses the person in the shadows who ends up being Zoken. He is AMUSED at all the suffering Kariya is going through and doesn’t know if he wants to win the war if that means ending Kariya’s suffering. Kariya has finally made it to the church only to find Tokiomi dead. He starts to cry over how unfair his life is when Aoi walks in. She thinks that Kariya has killed Tokiomi and goes off on him, saying that the man has never loved anyone ever. In a fit of rage he strangles Aoi while thinking of all he has done for her. Kirei and Archer watch this PLAY, enjoying the view. THE END!

Dads are amazing aren't they?

Oh my lord. People were right when they said Kariya wasn’t done suffering yet. Clearly I have forgotten every single detail of Fate/Stay Night and everything is new and exciting for me. Now excuse me while I got set up a fund to shoot Kariya in the head to end his suffering.

WOOHOO the person I can trust the most is here. Let me kill her!!!

First things first. Yay for Rider not kidnapping Irisviel. I didn’t notice that he was jumping/flying with no chariot but I took note of the time of day when the kidnapping took place and the fact that Maiya was dead on the floor. I assumed in my little brain that it had to be Berserker by power of elimination and behold I was right! I did have a 33 percent chance of being right though.

Can I have Saberized car please?

I do think it was a little silly (see special) that the real Rider happened to walk on by so it would throw Saber off. Like really? REALLY!? Kirei was probably laughing as he put his pants back on. Archer and his post sex hair would be amused that things were going unexpectedly in their favor. I wonder how things would have gone down had Saber caught up.

Why don't you ask him?!

I am a bit surprised that Saber didn’t talk to Rider at all during their fight…race? Like HEY where is Irisviel?! But maybe Saber didn’t want to show her hand? I would have formed a super temporary alliance to get Irisviel back. If she had figured out Rider hadn’t kidnapped her Master then she could still count on his to fight fair. So that is what I would have done.

Did they Burst Link too?

In Saber’s mind it was time to bring out the big guns, destroy half of the mountain side highway, and leave Rider hanging in a tree. Because that makes sense. At least he won’t be chasing her, which is maybe what she was worried about? Being ganged up on when she actually did find Irisviel and the kidnapper. Goober Saber. I think she passed up on an easier way to save Irisviel. Maybe that goes back to a pride thing.

Just a minor set back.....

I think Rider is having the time of his life. I bet he has never felt like this before. He was apparently looking for Saber so he could pound some sense into her delicate female mind. And instead of a battle he was going to solve all their problems with a race. Yes Saber will see the error of her ways if you beat her in a race. Ah such joy in his little heart. It is like he understands how messed up this War really is…but is still going to play his way. But now he is stuck in a tree. With a positive attitude of course. Like oppies byebye chariot? Can that not regenerate? Of course he is saving his super spell for Archer but he can’t use that if he is dead. Being dead will affect the “winning” process. I was scared that Waver was going to meet his end but then I remembered Saber was the attacker so all should be well. Now they have to walk home. Killing people, bad. Destroying major highways okay.

Watch out for motorcycles indeed.

OH! I almost forgot to talk about Saber’s motorcycle. I am not a vehicle kind of girl. When asked what my dream car is I tell people blue. I really don’t care about them. Last Anime Weekend Atlanta we played a game called Educate Tenchi on Car Models and if you asked me to recall that information I would fail miserably. With all that said….even I could see how amazing that motorcycle was! Like hot damn! The Rider class needs to take a spin in my car and instantly pimp my ride. So shiny. So many figurine opportunities now. Because there wasn’t before right?

So amazing it took Kariya two command seals to pull it off? SO AMAZING!

So Berserker is the kidnapper and his class DOES have a transformation ability. And it all makes sense now. I am a special little Tenchi. If no one can tell who Berserker is that must be because he is hiding his identity as we speak. Duh Tenchi duh. I guess I just assumed that it was a cloaking device, not that he could keep changing appearance. But I wonder why it cost two command seals to use? One to change into Rider and one to kidnap Saber? Berserker is the worst Servant ever.

Kirei is the most evil person ever. I know you all keep telling me it is Emiya I should hate but MOG! He is sitting there acting like he is going to help Kariya win when in reality…look what he is doing?! Oh hi have some more seals so you can stay long enough for me to torture you more! I really can’t blame Kariya for being confused and believing in this crazy person because he is barely functional at this point. Does everyone even met the Church official before the War starts? So yes it is understandable Kariya is all confused.

Have I mentioned I hate bugs?

Oh and wtf is up with Zoken?! I understand he is a messed up vampire like immortal worm god but DAMN!!!! He is making his son suffer for fun?! He is willing to lose the war because it might be more amusing to watch how many tiny pieces his son can break into?! How much sense does that make? He doesn’t know there is going to be a redo in a few years so basically he is like psht maybe in the next 60 years? This is all insane to me. Yes Kariya left the family and basically left them with no heir. But he came back and there is a back up Sakura? So why the delight?! Insanity?!

But Zoken missed the main act. Kariya thought he was going to get revenge on Tokiomi. Which by the way deserved a punch in the face. Threw his daughter to a crazy family because growing up as a human would be horrible. Now for the sake of Rin I don’t think Kariya would and should have killed Tokiomi. And if Aoi wanted to marry that guy…well it is hard to blame Tokiomi. If she was forced into that marriage then Kariya could be pissed.

What did you do to deserve all this?!

Kariya gets nothing though. Tokiomi is already dead. No revenge for him. I was hoping that Kirei was going to set it up so Kariya could think he killed Tokiomi but no. Clearly this was all a set up so Kirei could get custody of Rin. Back up plan kids! I don’t know if he thought Kariya was going to kill Aoi but he was counting on her losing her mind and breaking Kariya at the same time. Either way no one would be left to take care of Rin besides Kirei. Did Kirei steal Emiya’s ultimate plan book on thinking ahead?

Um....yeah. Uncalled for. And your husband is at fault with Sakura, not Kariya.

While Aoi didn’t deserve to die…she was a bitch. BITCH! You have never loved anyone before baloney? I am going to forgive her for not noticing that Tokiomi was stiff as a board and Kariya probably didn’t kill her husband. But DAMN FOLKS! Didn’t Kariya rescue Rin? Didn’t he promise to help out Sakura? DOES HE LOOK IN GOOD SHAPE RIGHT NOW?! Notice how he left the family and only came back to help you. I understand you are grieving and you don’t understand what he has been through…but yeah. Harsh words. Just slather on the hate for Kariya.

Pushed over the edge into crazyland.

Kariya strangling Aoi. Yeah that was uncalled for. In most circumstances I would blame the person for not handling their emotions better. That adults are responsible for how they handle things and temporary insanity is not acceptable in most circumstances. However…it is almost like Kariya is a pawn in Kirei’s game. Or as Archer says a play. A tragic character that will experience every hardship ever. It’s almost like he isn’t real at this point. So while usually I would be like OH SNAP he did that it is almost expected at this point.

Ah young love. Bonding over the tragedy that is Romeo and Juliet.

Kirei and Archer end the episode with their enjoying the wine and the show Kariya put on. Kirei wants to see more suffering. Probably because he is an insane person who likes the suffering of others. These last few episodes have been so emotionally charged. How much more can these characters suffer? Oh wait Saber doesn’t know who Berserker really is? Oh I see…:(

Accel World episode 8: Hailstorm Domination!

XO Rain?! On my Memorial Day? For some reason it was decided we were closed at the pizza place today. So this is the second Monday in forever that the husband and I have had off together. And it is raining. Le sigh. But I did ask for it not to rain last week on our official vacation so I can’t be too greedy. So basically I asked for the rain to wait for a major vacation week for most people. I sacrificed many to save myself WOOHOO!!

New favorite character maybe?!

So since it is raining the husband is downloading movies. Will probably post this after watching said movies. I think they might be old animated movies that I haven’t seen yet (why yes I haven’t seen either Cars movies). Will snuggle with my new Brave plushie and send the afternoon with the husband. In an attempt to get some blogging done today..here is Accel World episode 8! Eight this time! Spoilers for Haruyuki not receiving proper training.

Kicking so much butt by herself. XD

Episode Summary: Haruyuki, Takumu, and Kuroyuki are trying to expand her territory during the…expand your territory day/event. Things are going well on Kuroyuki and Takumu’s part but Haruyuki turns into a one trick pony which other players quickly catch and use to their advantage. The result is Kuroyuki not gaining any new territory at all. Haruyuki feels responsible and downloads an illegal app to make him train faster. Or get shot in the head. Takumu and Haruyuki talk about Brain Burst on the way home from school. Chiyuri feels a little left out and the punishment for that is more ice cream! Haruyuki arrives home only to find a happy young girl claiming to be his second cousin. Haruyuki is skeptical she is even real let alone his cousin Tomoko. Still she makes him cookies and smiles a whole lot so he doesn’t throw her out. After blushing over the cuteness of his cousin Haruyuki takes a bath and realizes this is all too good to be true. After looking through family photos and finding the real Tomoko he starts to doubt this all. Tomoko comes in to take a bath with him and Haruyuki calls her out on her lies. Tomoko quickly turns into a crazy person threatening to kill Haruyuki and what not. But it is hard to fear someone who trips and falls in the bath tub. Haruyuki of course catches her by her boobies or where her boobies would be if she wasn’t 11 which gives her more reason to hate him.

I would hope you would remember having a little sister. Either that or you have a really deceptive parent.

Instead of freaking out Haruyuki calls Kuroyuki who is taking a bath. She admonishes him about not learning all the names in Accel World and says the person he is talking about is the Red King. Upon that being announced Tomoko and her clothes run in and it is battle time! Red King has a tiny avatar but it morphs to have a huge piece of battle armor surround her tiny frame. Haruyuki tries attacking at first but then tries to force Red King to destroy herself. Her armor proves to be that tough and it leaves Haruyuki dodging missiles. He attempts to take down her huge machine but she sheds it and moves one step to avoid his attack. As Haruyuki lays defeated Red King tells Haruyuki to give his Master a message. At school the next day Haruyuki informs Kuroyuki of what has happened. She seems a bit upset that Haruyuki doesn’t know everything about the game but forgives him. Kuroyuki brushes aside the fact that people want her out of the game after what she has done. But she gets sad thinking about the previous Red King, the one she took out. Apparently she liked him. Haruyuki apologizes and says he will never turn on her. Friends first, game second. Haruyuki thinks that Kuroyuki had to endure that before, Master and Servant turning on each other and vows that it won’t happen again. THE END!

ENGRISH ATTACKS!

WEEE! This show is chugging rolling right along. Are we all around for the ride? Buckle up and prepare for a game whose rules aren’t all going to be explained to you.

This looks like the BORED NOW face.

I think the boys need to be careful with their Brain Burster talk. One reason would be…they are just talking about it in the open. Do boys not direct link with each other as it would be perceived as being a couple? Either way keep your private conversations private. But another reason they need to keep their talks indoors is because of Chiyuri. She isn’t part of this exclusive club….yet and she is feeling left out. And it is an understandable jealously. Would you want your boyfriend going on and on about a game with someone else when he should be spending time with you? Didn’t think so. But since Chiyuri will probably join at some point maybe this is just planting the seeds.

PIGGY ABUSE!!!

Poor Haruyuki though. He is trying so hard but this abilities in this game are like a roller coaster. One week he is on top and the next week he crashes and burns. Although I am not sure how much land three whole characters should be allowed to control. Guess I thought those legions should be bigger. But if you are king you are king! It really helps out that they can’t be totally outnumbered but they are still out level. Sad that Haruyuki thinks he is at fault and he is taking bullets to the brain to improve his abilities.

Must be hard being lectured by a bird looking thing.

However….he really does need to change it up. Sometimes amazing but predictable moves do work…when your opponent is the computer. But when your opponents are real life human beings who can change their strategies to match yours…flying in the air is only going to get you so far. Sure no one has really seen a flying avatar before. But they got long ranged weapons. You are not that special Mr. Piggy.

HAHAHA...and no.

Is Japan really a nation of not knowing your distant relatives? If someone was in my house saying they were my second cousin…I would call the police and let them work it out. I find this all hard to believe since the Japanese tend to have smaller families anyway. Not this herd of Uncles and Aunts I have which resulted in cousins that I have never even met. Yes folks I have not met some of my cousins and I find this scenario unbelievable. I would be like oh you are related to me…PAPERWORK! Because that is how I roll.

WTF is this happy and perverted face?!

That being said Haruyuki was pretty gross. His cousin “Tomoko”….she looks pretty young. He even commented that she looked like she was in 5th grade. So what was with the blushy face?! Doesn’t he have a hot girlfriend or at least age appropriate person who has a crush on him? So what is the gross face when thinking of his cousin? EWWW!

I was almost buying the innocent grade school act. Almost. Of course I was super impressed at “Tomoko” using the oven. Of course I hate making any kind of food so maybe my mom sensed this and kept me away from the oven. Or maybe the Japanese teach their kids how to make meals early on because by the time they are 15 they will be abandoned in most animes. But I thought it was weird when she said she didn’t like the link thing. It would have made more sense for her to be wearing it and not having it on. But then she wanted to take a bath with her male cousin? Yep out the door with believability.

A smart person would have been able to remember their relatives.

I love how Haruyuki had to look up family pictures to confirm that “Tomoko” wasn’t his cousin. I would have been looking up other things, not family pictures where people might be absent. I found this so amusing I might put aside the fact that there was another boob grabbing scene. MIGHT! Didn’t we have one a few weeks ago? Is this how Haruyuki says hi to everyone?

Clearly everything is your fault forever!

However…I am not really feeling how Haruyuki is supposed to know everything about this game. Like he is supposed to memorize all the avatar names in this world? And they have second names? That there are hints to their names? Kuroyuki was a little harsh with him. Also maybe she should have picked up on the fight he was in deep trouble when he was asking her questions.

So much insanity I LOVE IT!

Upon learning that his not cousin “Tomoko” (whose real name is Yuniko) is the Red King…Haruyuki stayed and battled. That was pretty brave. Haruyuki figured out what was going on pretty fast. A little too fast, you are after my Master?! But I sorta enjoyed crazy Yuniko. I wish there were more scenes of her rather than Haruyuki getting his butt kicked by a non moving avatar. Insanity at its best.

Why are you picking on the poor level 4? :(

I am not sure how Haruyuki could have done better in the battle. He had no time to prepare or research his opponent. She is 5 levels higher than him and has been playing the game a lot longer. And during that time she put all her bonuses into one skill that would help her take down a type like Haruyuki. He was going to be splatted no matter what. So don’t feel bad Haruyuki, you did your best.

Again with the nonlinking. Kuroyuki and Haruyuki just talking out in the open. I am glad she wasn’t too hard on Haruyuki as most of this stuff is never his fault. I was slightly disappointed she wasn’t in a wheelchair or something. Just totally glossing over the fact that she was nearly killed by a car aren’t they?

You should have taken him out last then?

Kuroyuki seems to be taking it in stride that the Red King wants her dead. Like oh okay someone hates me, this is okay. But then Kuroyuki started walking down memory lane and got emotional. FEELING! I have to confess I had a little eye rolling moment during this part. They were just told of the rule that to reach level 10 you had to take out other level 9ers. So what does Kuroyuki do? Take out the person she has a crush on? I believe this. Totally believe. Whatever happened to making alliances? Saving that person for last? Nope Kuroyuki is like I have feelings for you so CHOP! Wouldn’t it have made more sense to take out his girlfriend first? Or are we dealing with the girlfriend right now? There are a lot of questions in this paragraph.

Just don't level up to 9 and that couldn't be a problem.

So in conclusion take pictures of all your relatives, hide your cute avatar in a fortress of English attacks, and Haruyuki will find a way to touch your boobies. Believe that. Next week….more butt kicking? Hopefully.

Hyouka episode 5: Burn it to the ground

Two episodes in one day? I must be crazy. Or lazy. Probably lazy since we only left the house to obtain pizza. No delivery fee today as the website was broken. But other than that it has been TV watching time and blogging. Has Beauty and the Beast really stood the test of time? She may be my favorite princess but Tangled…Rapunzel might be my favorite movie.

But this an anime blog post so enough with Disney…even if I spent half the day looking at pins. My wallet would cry but it is already empty so there are no tears. XD Instead it is Hyouka episode 5 time. There are 21 episodes in this series and SPOILER ALERT the mystery has been official solved. Enjoy.

What else would Houtarou have done? Take a nap? PSHT crazy talk.

Episode Summary: Houtarou and Satoshi have just left Eru’s house and it is raining. Houtarou is thinking about his theory and how it might be incomplete. Satoshi has to add his two cents about how this is so unlike Houtarou, that he didn’t have to go to the bathroom and think of that theory. Instead of admitting he likes Eru Houtarou says he did this all because Eru is crazy and it is easier to make her happy that say no. But before Houtarou can really enjoy his victory he receives a phone call from his sister. When Houtarou talks about how he figured out the Uncle mystery his sister implies accidentally about how sad that story is and poor Uncle. This makes Houtarou really question his theory. After doing some research he gets the rest of the gang together. He states that the lines in the prologue are important, implying a sacrifice and this was not a happy victory. It is suggested that they find the writer of this article to find out what her wording really meant. Well Houtarou has already found her…and it is the librarian.

They head on down the library where Houtarou explains she was a 1st year student who wrote the article as she was in the Classic Club with Uncle. She listens to Houtarou’s theory and is amazed he was basically right with such a small piece of the puzzle. She fills in the gaps, that Uncle was forced to be the leader of their group by the real leader. That student just didn’t want to get in trouble. Things started off with a peaceful protest but the students accidentally burnt down a building. Uncle was kicked out of school as an example and no one had his back. Thus the picture of a tiny bunny being eaten while the rest of the student class (the other bunnies) looking on. The word Hyouka means Ice Cream in English which can be said as I Scream. Uncle’s last words to the student body. That is why Eru cried and the mystery is solved! After all that it is decided that Houtarou will write Uncle’s story as the main feature in their anthology. Houtarou asks later why Eru allowed him to tell the others her personal business. She has no answer for that but is happy the mystery got solved. Houtarou wonders if his sister sent him to the Classics Club on purpose, like she knew this would happen. THE END!

Houtarou is just creepy like that, pay no attention to him.

Well….that was super quick. Walk with me as this series has wrapped itself up in 5 short episodes. 16 left? Maybe that is the real mystery, what the rest of the show is going to be about? (I bet it will be about where the Uncle is!).

The wheels are still turning in Houtarou's crazy and overactive brain.

I liked how the second they left Eru’s house Houtarou was already thinking about how his theory was either wrong or incomplete. I think he is SLIGHTLY like me. Slightly. Like once I start thinking about something it is hard to get it out of my head. If I can’t remember a song lyric I have to look it up right then or there or it will bother me all night long. I am a crazy person. So I can understand how something can eat away at a person, even if that person is trying to conserve energy. Does he think he is getting a rebate at the end of the year or something?

X___X So many colors.

What is with all the references to colors though? We had….neon pink last week and now we have rose colored? And I don’t blame Houtarou for being confused. Satoshi is insane. Rose colored? Rose colored what? Maybe it was a weird translation but usually that term is used for lalala people, who only see the good in life and neglect to see some of the…bad things in life. Not that one should focus on bad things in life just that they must be acknowledged. I wouldn’t really apply that to a wonderful high school life. I am getting confused just trying to explain why I am confused. XD

Don't say something like that and hang up!

Houtarou’s sister. She is the plot mover and she is in India. Is she going to end up finding the Uncle? Is she going to be his winter/spring romance? Because thus far she has been pretty important. Got Houtarou into the club and now she told him that his theory was wrong without even knowing what the theory was! Like oh yeah that tragic story from long ago. She said very little but it was enough to explode Houtarou’s crazy thinking to go into overdrive. Good job sister.

See this small line? It is the answer to everything!!!

While the sister planted the seeds Houtarou watered the trees, picked the fruit, and processed the wood into pages ready for manga chapters. He takes tiny little pieces and expands it into something amazing. He was able to find a few lines in a prologue that MAYBE would make his theory wrong. Things that were dismissed before became super important. So while it was okay for Houtarou to put those lines aside to see the bigger picture now it was time to analyze all the information and see it as a whole.

Cue the dramatic music!!!

But I do think it is a little special that the librarian is the one who wrote that piece 45 years ago. Just so magical. I like the sister plot better. Not the whole AHA this person is still alive and…well down the hall. Staying in a school after the HORRIBLE thing happened. I often want to work at a place where the students…rioted and did something cruel to one student.

Can we talk about that protest? I did try to familiarize myself with the tensions of the 1960’s in Japan but I kept finding information about what was happening in the United States at that time. Thanks Google! I have to think in the mind set that this is Japan and that protests there mean something different than they do here in the U.S. I saw students hanging signs and not attending schools. I mean things got bad when the building ACCIDENTALLY caught on fire but other than that…it was a lot of drama going on over what looked like a peaceful protest. The younger version of the librarian was so sad and horrified in the flashbacks.

Can the new mystery be finding out who really was behind it?

But the entire story was explained. Uncle didn’t want to be the leader of the rebellion. Some unnamed dude (who probably still works at the school too and feels guilty over what he did to this day) forced Uncle to be their leader and scapegoat. It is still unclear why the Uncle was expelled in October. The students were lucky they weren’t all in deep trouble for burning down a building. They shouldn’t have had to wait until after the festival to placate the masses. Like um sorry bye you burnt down our building.

If this had happened in the Bible the descendants would still be in danger.

Since Ms. Young librarian wrote this piece…I wonder why the word hero wasn’t used. She seemed pretty upset at the way Uncle was treated. Maybe she should have written it in a way that stuck it to the rest of the students. Like the reason you got your festival is because of what YOU did to him. Hero no? Okay then our sacrificial lamb. Or bunny as it were.

A big giant EFF YOU!!!!

The name of the anthology and the image…I didn’t feel as if it was the Uncle leaving behind something for everyone. Doing one last thing for his class. To me it felt like EFF YOU! Stupid little rabbits not helping me out! What the hell is wrong with you?! I SCREAM indeed. Something that was completely lost upon me and probably most English speakers. But it all makes sense now. I would probably cry to if my Uncle was still messed up from a high school experience and no one helped him out.

Um....tears of joy?

So the mystery is now solved. The Uncle didn’t want to be a hero, the student body was really crying over a FESTIVAL, and Eru can now lay her Uncle to rest. If he is dead. I am not sure why Houtarou is rethinking his energy saving life or questioning why his sister sent him to the club but his carefree days seem to be gone. He still hasn’t admitted to himself why he has been going above and beyond for Eru but I am sure that will come soon.

But I just solved the mystery. Why do I have to do more work?

So….what now? X___X Houtarou has already learn about himself, the Uncle mystery has been solved, and everyone seems happy. Like I said before…the real mystery will be what happens now with 16 episodes left! But in the meantime I have learned that school festivals are super important and if you mess with them prepare to lose a few buildings. On to the next mystery of why one stall in the bathroom always runs out of paper!!!
