Duffy the Disney Bear Adventures: Super Fun (sorta) Birthday Adventures Part 1

Hello there!!! It is me, Duffy the Disney Bear. I hope you haven't forgotten about me. Mom hasn't been going on many adventures lately but that doesn't mean she doesn't love me. Take pics of me around the house please mom!!!! Or..save up and take me to Disney World for 3 days, that's cool too.

Look at some of mom's birthday present. Aren't they cute?!

Dad works for the military and sometimes he has to work a lot. :( So it turns out he has to work on Mom's birthday and most of October. But mom wanted to go to Disney World for her birthday. What to do what to do?! Oh go super early in September so we can still attend fun events? Sounds like a plan to me!

First things first though. Dad was afraid mom was going to want to buy these Tsum Tsums if they were at Disney World. Tsum Tsums are little plushies that are based on a game that mom loves to play. I think they come from Japan. So since we were going to Disney early mom got her present early.

Tsum Tsums are very Duffy sized aren't they? But I am easily outnumbered!

Once mom opened her present it was time to pack for Disney World. Don't forget my Tsum Tsums friends.

What to wear what to wear.....

One of the events we are going to is called Dapper Day so I need to look my best.

I think I have narrowed down a few choices. Scruffy is coming on the trip too so maybe I should bring some outfits for him.

We woke up bright and early Friday morning to head to Disney World. Sorta bright and early...mom is late a lot.

I brought my Tsum Tsums friends to keep me company. Aren't they cute?

We stopped at the giant mall before you get to Disney. They have a big Disney Store and Build a Bear. Also they have an entire store full of M&Ms. It smelled very good in that store.

I am not sure how they got a car in this store but it is cool. That red guy doesn't look too happy though.

This Disney Store had Tsums!! The one near our house did not. They had different sizes and kinds that dad didn't get mom for her birthday.

Time to eat our last nonDisney meal for a while. Mom always gets the same thing I think.

Dad decided to get the Tsums mom didn't have already. XO That is a lot of little presents isn't it? The day we came home from the trip the Disney Store released more. I think that our house might be overrun with Duffys, Hello Kittys, and Tsum Tsums now....

We stopped by a discount Disney store too before we went to Downtown Disney. The one near mom closed and that makes us sad because we like to trade pins.

Scruffy's mom picked up a new Duffy. I think she named him Knuffy.

We had to go pick up tickets for the Halloween Party tonight. We thought we could get them at Downtown Disney but it turns out we had to buy them at the Magic Kingdom.

It is very messy at Downtown Disney now. Plus it is rainy. GO AWAY RAIN!

We did activate Scruffy's mom's annual pass so I guess it wasn't a big waste of time.

We only had a little bit of time before we needed to change so we quickly looked through the market space store. Much better than the sports store that used to be there.

Everyone got to the hotel and dressed super fast. Like really fast and ran to the Magic Kingdom. Mom and dad were dressed as Belle and Beast. I sorta look like the Beast right? I hope I don't scare Tinkerbell!

It was sorta raining today and dark so there weren't too many pics of me. I did get to meet some nice characters, like a skeleton man and a pumpkin duck. We got super hungry and I ate all the food before mom could take a pic. XO Sorry mom. So that is about it for pics today. There are a lot more for tomorrow though. Saturday was Dapper Day so we better get to sleep so we can be up bright and early getting ready.

What? Nendoroids? Where?! Nendoroid Marika Kato finally getting to shine.

I feel as if it has been forever since I did a nendoroid post. Like hello Tenchi we know you love Duffy and his millions of outfits but what about your love of tiny pieces of expensive plastic? The ones your husband likes to gift you with for holidays and such? Have you forgotten about us?! Certainly not. In fact I have 3 still in boxes that need to have their pictures taken. Now that Lappy is dead and there needs to be computer sharing time...sounds like I can make time to take some pics!

The dinning room table is currently covered in Magic cards so you will have to excuse the new spot if it is a bit odd.

This nendoroid here I don't really have too much knowledge about. I know she is cute though so that is all that matters right? Time to adjust my current cabinet to make room for the cutest pirate ever. Well after Orlando Bloom of course.

Backside of the box. As the title tells ya this is Pirate Marika Kato. She comes from an anime that came out not too long ago titled Bodacious Space Pirates. I remember reading about it when making selections that particular year but didn't want it. From the sounds of it it was a comedy anime. Unless high school girls dream of being pirates now or something. XD

The husband knows that I like cute things and that is how he makes his decisions on what nendoroids to get me. That and Madoka is a clear selection. There are two light weight presents that have been wrapped since august 15th that just scream Madoka to me so hopefully I am right. For now..it is pirate time!

Basic pose. The hat is rather large and makes her a bit top heavy. It is sorta just perched there and could fall off if there was sudden movement.

Come with me if you want to live pose. I wanted to kill the cape the entire time I was taking pictures. There are actually two capes but the dramatic one stayed on a bit better than this one. This cape was such a pain. It wouldn't fix to the nendoroid's back completely so it was sorta just hanging there. Waiting for me to breath and fall off. Then her legs would go and an arm would fall off and I tried to remind myself while I even liked nendoroids. X___X

Time for more poses even if the cape hates my soul. Smile, I got a run!!!! What a happy little pirate she is!

Marika is full of weapons. A gun and a sword?! She is going to slice and dice you with a smile on her face. Also here is a close up view of the cape of evilness.

Here is the better cape. Marika is able to hold it so maybe that is why I hate it less. Looks rather cute with that dreamy expression on her face.

Not familiar with the anime but maybe Marika closes her eyes and looks peaceful a lot. Like let me find my moment of zen?

Duffy the Disney Bear Adventures: New Mickey outfit

XO Must be special, the clothes are in a box.

Hello there Duffy lovers! It is I the Dashing Duffy. A while back mom bought me this outfit on one of her trips to Disney World. She really wanted the Peter Pan outfit but she only saw that outfit once in January. Never again. Well more like a year later but still. So now when mom sees an outfit she gets it because it might not be there later!

The box outfits cost more than the other ones. Good thing mom has an annual pass and can get some discounts.

Finally out of the box. Does this mean I have to take off my Sulley outfit?

Got the ears on. Make them stay up!!! They could be a little stiffer.

The shoes are very, very, very loose. Mom put me in her bag and both of my shoes fell off. :( Imagine if she was carrying me around the park. Disney is not used to making shoes clearly. We need to pin them together before we go out....The same thing with the gloves.

Um where is the strap?! How am I suppose to carry Pluto!!!! I think mom needs to buy lots of safety pins for this outfit...

Even though it is a bit big it looks cute on me. We has to change a few things before I can walk around the park first. For now I will wear it in the house and snuggle with Pluto. The box outfit is nice but Disney needs to do a little better with other pieces, not just the suit itself.

Disney Tsum Tsum: Just take all my money!

When it rains it pours right? I think that saying is usually a negative one but I think it can apply to positive situations as well. Or that is how I will make it work. Last week it just seemed the internet exploded in cute merchandise that had everyone squealing over. We got a new friend for Duffy named Gelatoni, new Disney Princesses/ladies shoe pins, a Disney make-up/beauty line at Walgreens, and now...this. This. The total definition of cuteness and amazingness. So much cute my eyes nearly exploded. Everyone on my facebook feed declared them the best things ever! A hit right off the bat for Disney yes?

.....Yeah instead of buying fancy cars and eating at nice restaurants I am going to win the lottery and buy all of these.

So what am I going on and on about now? Tsum Tsums. Obviously. I mean obviously you have heard about them. Just nod your head and agree that these are the best things ever and count the minutes til you can get yourself to a Disney Store or the Disney Store website to get some of these cuties for yourself.

I think I need a bigger house...

In case you have no idea what I am talking about...Tsum Tsums are a Japanese Disney product that are characters rolled into cuteness. Seriously all the best Disney products come out of Disney. The United States will come up with the characters and Japan will make ultra cute products for them. Tsum Tsum translates into Stack Stack which is what you can do with these guys. Yes they are round and rolly but they are shaped in a way that you can stack them on each other to make a wall of eyes staring at you, as if to say...buy more.

There are three different sizes but obviously it would be easier to collect more of the smaller ones...but the big ones are easier to hug...

These cute little Tsum Tsums were introduced in Japan first because...Japan. Japan is home of cuteness. Well and many other things. But I think Disney in Japan encompasses cute a bit better than the American parks. We tend to focus on Princesses so little girls (and boys!) can relate to a human being and their little animal sidekick is just that...a sidekick. Sure we got all the Fab 5 (6) in the parks but I think a trend lately has veered off into "gender specific" toys and merchandise. Even if I think anyone can like anything. But in Japan cute is cute and everyone is free to like cute. These kinds of toys are perfect for girls and boys. So I really think that these will work well in the United States. The price point varies, with the tiny ones being super affordable for kids and the larger ones being about the same price as similar sized plushies at Disney Stores. That might be a reason why Duffy is having a bit of problem really taking off in the United States. In Japan young ladies have disposable income to spend on his many outfits and what not. In the United States Duffy has been marketed more to kids and kids might not have the cash to spend $30 on the bear itself plush an outfit. $30 can buy you 6 Tsum Tsums, what a party yes?

Japan Disney Stores still have a larger selection of Tsum Tsums but I am sure the American stores will grow if the products take off.

I first saw and learned about these cuties because of Duffy. Shocker right? If you look at the Tsum Tsum they are a nice size be a companion piece with Duffy. A correctly hidden hair tie and he can carry them around so easily. Like his own little plushie. Plus there is a girl on Facebook who is a pro at making felt Duffy and Shellie Mays and she recently made Tsum Tsums versions of them and of course they are adorable. I chalked these little creations as a Japan only piece of merchandise that I would have to stuff in my suitcase once I got to the magical land of anime and way too many cute things. But now it looks like I can get my fix here in the United States. Now I just need to win the lottery because of course I can't decide which ones I want....they are like Pokemon, got to catch (have) them all!
