Zetsuen no Tempest episode 24 FINAL EPISODE!

See folks! I was getting things done today.....and playing dumb games on the computer. And obsessing over that stupid murder case that is plaguing the United States. It makes me so mad watching so much of our courts time and money being wasted on such nonsense but I can't stop watching this train wreck. Something is wrong with me yes?

This is the face of happy in case you couldn't tell.
Enough about that though. Time to blog some more anime. Zetsuen no Tempest episode 24! Last episode. March went by fast didn't it? Spoilers for...happiness?
 photo tempestepisode247_zpsf20feb41.jpg
This looks promising.
Episode Summary: Megumu is summoning up the power and courage to attack the tree. Samon and his crew are flying around with their Mary Poppins size bags full of technology/civilization. They are placing items on the ships in an attempt to protect them from the impending attack from Mr. Tree. They note though that some of the ships aren't moving fast enough and aren't in range of their magic yet. Hakaze and Tetsuma are still fighting it out but the ships are just moving slow. On board one of the slow ships Mahiro is yelling at some captives while Yoshino patches up the new hole in his arm. That was a lot of blood for an arm injury. Yoshino and Mahiro talk about how scary that seems and that they need to do their part to make this all go smoothly. Hakaze is momentarily distracted, thinking that she can't protect Yoshino until this is all over but what is taking Megumu so long? Megumu finally musters up his power...and shoots a tiny hole in the tree. Not the killing blow he was hoping for. The tree wakes up and starts summoning other pieces of itself to attack Megumu. The pieces grow and start attacking the ships and the surround areas. Samon appears before the leaders of the ships and tell them to get out of there. Fighting is happening all over the place and Megumu is doing his best to fight off all the pieces. Megumu tries his best but is quickly overwhelmed. He starts to drown in the ocean, thinking about how he let everyone down. Mahiro realize that things are not going well and starts to get pissed with himself. What has he forgotten? What did he not take into consideration? There is a flashback of Aika getting mad at a book because there is no light in it. Mahiro is like well stop reading Shakespeare then. According to Aika there is always light, that makes a good story.
 photo tempestepisode248_zps4b31d221.jpg
Or people will be pissed that they killed the random tree that came and killed 2 billion people.
At the Exodus tree the ones guarding it are shocked to see something weird going on. Samon's men come by and create a barrier as the Exodus tree explodes....into a sword. And the sword of hugeness flies to Megumu who was slowly drowning. He takes the sword and finally knows what he has to do. Well he powers up to Super Sayian kind of levels and explodes the entire tree. All the pieces start to explode into butterflies and everyone comments on how butterflies were a sign of horrible things before but now they are welcomed. One month later...Evangeline and Samon are eating some noodles watching cop cars drive on by. They talk about how crime has returned after the trees have left and is this really for the best? Samon says they will have to work to make it a better world. Takumi has made it pretty far up in the government thanks to his fast thinking and he has agreed to help the displaced Kusaribe clan as they no longer have magic powers. Tetsuma is especially happy with his task to be Takumi's personal driver. Hakaze is seen at the village packing up her crap and leaving. When the older ladies see what Hakaze is doing they basically call her useless and silly and to run along to Yoshino. Back at home Evangeline and Samon bring food back to those cleaning up the room. Megumu declines the food as his ex girlfriend has called and is willing to see him. Megumu runs off all excited and nervous. The ex does end up meeting with Megumu but the fate between those two is unknown. Evangeline gets all jealous, hoping that her time for love has finally come. She tries to make it a point with the guys but Samon and Natsumura ignore her on purpose. Junichirou tries to make it know his penis is for sale but Evangeline isn't biting.

Elsewhere on a train Mahiro and Yoshino are traveling along. Mahiro has been given a job opportunity by Takumi but he needs to get into a good college. Mahiro's goal is to change the world but that will take time and hard work. Yoshino says that's nice...lets watch Aika's video now. They both sit down and watch her farewell video...which is just her saying goodbye, good luck, and thank you for being with me in this life. Oh and you can hit Yoshino if you want Mahiro. The boys roll their eyes at the antics of Aika and continue on in the train. Mahiro and Yoshino visit Aika's grave. Mahiro does most of the talking, saying that Aika tried to save the world according to a script. Mahiro doesn't think that way and will find his own way in life. Mahiro sorta pokes at Yoshino who pokes back by saying lovers don't need to exchange such words. The two walk and reflect on all that has happened to them in this past year. Yoshino questions if Mahiro is going to go home now and he says that he isn't. Turns out that Mahiro has been in contact with the girl he saved from the iron syndrome thing. Yoshino is like is this really happening and Mahiro tries to brush it off. He gestures the fact that a taxi has just dropped off Hakaze and her stupid heels. Yoshino takes that as Mahiro giving him permission to move on from Aika and takes off running to greet Hakaze. Aika quotes something, probably from Shakespeare as Yoshino and Aika look at each other. THE END!

SPRING IS NEAR FOLKS! DUH!
Is this real life? Is there a disease going on in Japan right now that I am unaware of? That animes have to end horribly now? Like WHELP that was nice but now it is the last episode and everyone important to the writing process has contracted some deadly disease and the janitors and mail room workers have to come in and finish the show. Is that is what happening? Not that janitors and mail room workers are intelligent people but when you are not involved in the creative process from the beginning it is hard to see where things are going sometimes.
 photo tempestepisode244_zpsc30021a4.jpg
A soon full of sugar folks.
Wait why am I being calm and rational now? RARW! Anger! So much anger. What the hell was that? It is like I am not allowed to be happy with any endings this season. And I don't think it is just my way of seeings things. I just sense laziness and craziness. Just...just what is this madness?
 photo tempestepisode245_zps97fe7a0b.jpg
You stupid show.
First off Yoshino didn't die. Not that people need to die to make the last episode interesting THE WALKING DEAD HOW COULD YOU! But it was very, very dramatic last episode. Yoshino has been shot! Look at how upset Mahiro is. How could this happen!??!!? Oh wait it was just a flesh wound. Never mind, we all can go home now. Maybe some other people will die but not Yoshino. He has been through too much.

But then NO ONE DIED! Everything worked out magical well. Everyone did their task and saved all the dumb people on the boats and what not. It is like a little light bulb finally went off in their heads and worshiping trees didn't seem like a good idea. Every single person was saved despite how...well unrealistic it was, with a giant tree trying to kill them and all. Megumu did a great job.
 photo tempestepisode246_zpsa1745678.jpg
Is anyone else shocked? Really?
ONLY HE DIDN'T!! Which you know....maybe it was way too much to expect from him. Now if I were the Genesis tree I wouldn't have waited for him to hit first. I would have been like LOL no and stabbed him while he was floating there talking to himself. But Megumu really only had once chance to destroy the tree all at once. And it wasn't going to happen. Then the massive tree attacked and obviously he was “outnumbered”. Good thing Aika came and saved the day.
 photo tempestepisode24_zpse34c9c9c.jpg
What have we forgotten in this world of magic trees and mages and time travel?!
ONLY SHE DIDN'T! I mean.....it was silly of me to think that she faked her death to make Mahiro help Hakaze and so on and so forth. That is what she should have done instead of hearing what Hakaze said and automatically thinking death was the only answer. But no Aika didn't come and save the day. But she also didn't give Mahiro any hint. Mahiro was like what am I missing and he thought back to Aika. Well he and Yoshino. What were they missing? What were they missing indeed?
 photo tempestepisode249_zpsbb8ebd8c.jpg
Why didn't I think of that?!
A MAGICAL TREE SWORD! Really why didn't Mahiro plan for that?! I mean...maybe if they had a Riki from Little Busters! moment it would have made....well more sense then it ended up making. Everyone thinking no it can't end this way. Save us Exodus. The whole world coming together and rejecting the Genesis tree. But nooooooooooooooooo. Does that happen? No. Megumu nearly drowns, the Exodus turns into a giant ass sword, and the world is saved. Good job Mahiro. Your plan worked perfectly.
 photo tempestepisode2411_zps9c6afc8f.jpg
That good old Mahiro...saving the world and bring back crime....
And then everything was fine. No really everything was absolutely fine. The only thing negative that happened is...people went back to being people. There is crime again. People are asshole again. One could argue that is the true tragedy, that no one learned their damn lesson from 2 billion people dying but you know...they were all going to die anyway had the tree stayed. Still it would be nice that people could have waited a longer than a month before turning into douchebags again.
 photo tempestepisode243_zps1b08c7dc.jpg
So much happy.
But besides that...every major character lived. And seem to be happier than before this all happened. NOTHING BAD HAPPENED! Well no one can use magic now which seems to be a big deal to me. Oh and they lost their god because it tried to kill them. That to me seems like a BIG deal. This entire village devoted their life to protect their god. Then when things got bad Samon and his people had to destroy it. Even while acknowledging it. That must have been hard even if it was necessary. It would be like people losing one of their major senses.
 photo tempestepisode2413_zps2f377112.jpg
Why did we keep that woman around again?
Instead of people dealing with those real problems we got comedy all over the place. Hakaze leaving her village forever to follow Yoshino in horrible heels...funny. Tetsuma having to serve Takumi in this new world....hilarious. Evangeline wanting to find her own love and Samon and Natusuma ignoring her out of pure fear....SIDE SPLITTING! Oh we can't forget about Junichirou not even being considered to be a potential mate for for Evangeline. Just so much FUN! Everything is perfect. I am bitter. Shoot me now.
 photo tempestepisode242_zps5f244a60.jpg
Save me from the crazy people!
Maybe I failed to understand the point of this show. That there was always craziness, the world being saved by the world boyfriend and girlfriend. Maybe I just expected too much of this show and it is only natural I get disappointed over how unserious things turned out. I mean...Megumu hooking back up with his girlfriend....He deserves happiness after all he has been through. But I think I would have liked it more had Megumu grown as a person and realized he deserved better than that girl. That hey I saved the world and I risked my life to do so. I am going to find someone who really loves me. But instead Megumu skips back to his old girlfriend. Who knows why she called as she doesn't know what Megumu has done for the world.
 photo tempestepisode2414_zps6c436142.jpg
Nope. No nudes for you. Thanks for saving the world.
Yoshino and Mahiro are fine too, despite the fact Aika is still dead. They are just traveling on a train going...well going somewhere. It took them a whole month to watch Aika's message? I would have been like let me see this now while I am recovering from my gunshot wound. The message really didn't tell the boys much of anything. Like yay I am glad you won, want to see my naked body? HAHA not. Thanks for being my friends despite the fact I was the weird girl who was rude all the time. I mean...I guess for the boys it was some sort of closure even if it was already stuff they knew. They just needed to hear it from her.
 photo tempestepisode2415_zps9fefe04f.jpg
You tell her Mahiro!
The one part of the episode I did like was when Mahiro was talking to Aika's grave. Like look you crazy crack head. All you did was read plays and act like you had to follow a script in your life. And you were wrong. Can't be mad at you but I will tell you that you were wrong and should have counted on us more. So I am going to sit here and save the world and find my own way in life, not listen to the words or actions of others. Like who is this person and what has he done with Mahiro?! XO I was really shocked on how mature he was being. Such an angry person has found a way to channel all that energy into something positive. I am glad he told Aika how he felt even if he made a slight at Yoshino in the process.
 photo tempestepisode2417_zpsb943d5a3.jpg
Um....well it is a good thing you saved the world then....since you got a girlfriend?
But then it went back to being special. Mahiro...is going to study for college while getting himself a girlfriend. Remember that one girl he saved before episode 1. WOOHOO emails and long distant relationships that were really under the radar the entire damn series. Like hello wasn't Mahiro stuck on Aika, couldn't move on from that pain? He just watched her goodbye message? How could he move on so fast? AND LEAVE YOSHINO?!? No yaoi intended there, just saying that those two need to lean on each other and get through this tough time.
 photo tempestepisode2418_zpsc0405deb.jpg
....Weren't you just crying over Aika yesterday?
But never fear, Yoshino has moved on too. At the speed of fast. People might want to remind me that Aika has been dead and gone for quite a while now and it would appear it took them TOO LONG to move on. Well they didn't go through the mourning process very well. The stages weren't all met. Just oh we saved the world and Aika was dumb. Time to run to Hakaze because I love her now too! Like where the hell did that come from? Why can't we work up to all this crazy? Why does it have to come out of nowhere and hit me like a brick? I just don't like the pacing. Have Mahiro and Yoshino return to school. Have Hakaze be a transfer student. Show everyone hanging out and these things slowly happening over time. Everything happening at once...just too much.
 photo tempestepisode2416_zpsc155c6e4.jpg
No grudges! ONLY HAPPY!
So....overall...yeah. I was really excited about the first half of this show but then things started to fall apart when Hakaze was all IN LOVE with Yoshino and Megumu was the actual mage instead of Aika being behind the scenes. I don't think the trees were properly explained or how Aika gained her knowledge. The world was saved.... because. I don't know. A lot of I don't knows. Some characters had a lot of development and others...well I don't know why they were there at all. I hope that Yoshino and Mahiro remain...the awful friends they were before, given how much they have been through. Overall....what an odd little show with so much drama.

Zetsuen no Tempest episode 23

I have not fallen off the face of the planet! Promise. XD I really don't know what I have been doing with all my time though. I do know that I spent about an hour at work today cleaning the parking lot and outside structure because people are pigs. :( Cigarette wrappers and butts and cups and all sorts of trash everywhere. Most of it next to trash cans! What is wrong with people? Just gross. Also....so much fun. I don't know how people on the side of the road do it, it can get exhausting!
 photo tempestepisode2312_zps025d3641.jpg
A secret confession?!
But before we start to celebrate Easter Day...an anime post! I know right, you forgot what those looked like right? XD But yes here is the second to last episode of Zetsuen no Tempest. Episode 23 already?! XO Spoilers for Mahiro reading the Art of War. Or Hamlet. Whatever.
 photo tempestepisode2310_zpsc2d83a00.jpg
Um...you know you guys could use cellphones yes?
Episode Summary: Samon and his piece of wood for a cellphone talk to Takumi about how they have leaked plans to the government that the Mage of Exodus will attack the Genesis Tree. Samon thinks that he might not survive this battle. Takumi urges him to live as he thinks his days are numbered too. The talk turns to the fact that Mahiro and Yoshino are insisting in taking part of the final battle. Back at the loft Megumu tries to give Mahiro a love note...to give to his exgirlfriend in case he doesn't make it out of the battle. Mahiro tears it up, saying is Megumu dies everyone is doomed anyway. Megumu thinks back to how Mahiro and Yoshino asked Evangeline the most important character ever if they could take part in the chop the Genesis tree down party. Evangeline and Hakaze were like um no but Mahiro was like HELLO my plan! Evangeline meanwhile has booked a cruise ship for the crew to get closer to the tree and plans on celebrating with booze. But she takes the time to tell Natsumura and Tetsuma that while she thinks that Yoshino and Mahiro will splat themselves maybe it is destiny. And aliens and stuff. Yoshino is packing the car with Junichirou who apparently needs porn to use his powers that have never been explained. Hakaze comes by and is a jerk to Yoshino. They take a plane right and then a boat ride of fail to some magical island off Japan I am thinking.
 photo tempestepisode2317_zps2c56ae24.jpg
Who the heck is this kid anyway?!
After everyone puts on their vacation clothes Mahiro explains part of the plan but not all of it to keep the viewers on their toes. As this is episode 23 the budget for the cast has gone way down and Mahiro has to explain everything with coins and random stuff in the room. Mahiro gets himself and Yoshino more involved with the plan saying that Samon will need more backup than previously thought. Hakaze crushes nuts in protest. Everyone gets ready for the big day but Yoshino wants to find Hakaze so they can talk things out. She is having an angry swim because Yoshino is putting himself in danger. Yoshino says that Aika really decided to do everything on her own and he wants to feel part of the process. Plus he loves everyone despite how they came together and he wants to help protect them. Hakaze is like I love you so I won't help your ass out during this battle OKAY! The next day Megumu and Mahiro are eating breakfast together and Megumu talks about how he is a loser and someone else should have been the Mage. Mahiro is like....yep probably. But you are OUR loser and besides you being kind hearted helped the others accept this plan so eat up! Finally it is time. Hakaze is dressed as the Exodus Mage and readies to “attack” the ships. Evangeline, Yoshino, and Mahiro are taken by Megumu underwater near the survey ships to wait out their time. Then Megumu appears to “rescue” the ships from Hakaze. Hakaze then draws Megumu into a battle, away from the tree so Hakaze's magic can work. Once they are far enough away another magic user trades places with Megumu/Dancing Princess so Megumu can make his way to the Tree. The nonmagic users then attack the survey ships and get them under their control. All seems to be going extremely well until Yoshino gets shot. Oppies. THE END!
 photo tempestepisode23_zps230bed5e.jpg
Um....resourceful? X___x?
The way things are going I am not going to be happy with how this show ends am I? At this rate the only survivor is going to be Evangeline and her useless self. That everyone will actually make it past the final battle and Aika comes in with a machine gun and blows everyone away. Then makes out with Evangeline. Or she really is Evangeline. Either way this is the season of awful endings so I am preparing for the worse.
 photo tempestepisode235_zps54524f1e.jpg
Release the Kraken!
Mahiro's plan took the entire episode to explain fully. I feel as if they were running out of material for this show and everything has to be stretched stretched stretched. Be careful or it might snap in half. But the plan is as follows: Due to the magic barrier stopping Hakaze and crew Megumu and Hakaze will trade roles. Hakaze will be the Mage of Exodus and Megumu will be the Dancing Princess. This way Hakaze can attack the ships and appear to be approaching the tree. Megumu will protect the ships and gradually lead them all away from the tree root. The nonmagic users will be waiting under the water to jump the survey ships. Once they have been overtaken Megumu will dive under the water and make his way to the tree while a magic user will fight Hakaze the pretend Mage of Exodus.
 photo tempestepisode2314_zps4e5e0190.jpg
Well considering it is your plan...and this actually involves you sorta...
X_____X Well then. That is complicated and makes sense at the same time. Isn't that magical? Funny how Mahiro is the one who came up with this smoke and mirrors show when really all the other characters have been the ones lying and scheming. Mahiro has really been a straight forward person. I don't care about the world and I want revenge. The end. Samon is off making sure to have back up plans involving blood barrels and skeletons and Takami is tricking the whole government and made the Mage of Exodus. So really those people I would expect to come up with cunning plans.
 photo tempestepisode2315_zpsc97c7fc5.jpg
Helpful person to the situation?
But maybe it is not as cunning as I think it to be. Maybe it is a bit simple and makes sense once you think about it. Or everything has worked out so perfectly and in our heroes favor this was inevitable. A round about way to protect people but a good plan nonetheless. Mahiro is the one who came up with it too. At this point 2 billion people died, what is a few more right? Samon let me down though, he should have come up with this grand play. GRAND PLAY!
 photo tempestepisode2316_zpsfd82424b.jpg
WHY ARE YOU HERE?!
Have I mentioned yet that Evangeline is getting on my ever loving nerves? No I am against you and Yoshino from going on this trip even though it was your idea? Why um...because. What do you mean I can't use magic either?! Um I am a very important person to the plot! How so....um.....um....Takumi paid me to hunt Mahiro? And I make sure this isn't a total sausage fest? And I suggested the thing about the aliens? But yes I should be allowed to go on the boats without knowing magic but not the boys. Because I said so!
 photo tempestepisode2313_zpsb06e3e59.jpg
Hey you sorta suck. But you hit me last week and that shows guts. Lets die together!
Despite the fact that Megumu almost killed Yoshino last week....there are no hard feelings. In fact Mahiro tried to cheer Megumu up. Well after he ripped up the young man's letter. I mean Mahiro has a point. If Megumu fails there will be no more girlfriend. Megumu was right too though, he might take out the tree with his dying breath. So I guess they both had points. Even if Mahiro's were doom and gloom. But he didn't sugar coat things. Like yep you are the worse person to be the Mage of Exodus.....but you are our awful Mage of Exodus. And no one else can make fun of you but me. I think I need a tissue.
 photo tempestepisode232_zps6e1af0ae.jpg
Not getting my way pout pout pout.
On the flip side....Hakaze is not handling anything well. I mean...I can SEE Hakaze's point...somewhat. If I had magical powers and could save the world and the person I loved did not have magical powers I would want him/her to stay home too. Hide under the blankets and wish me luck. Nothing good comes from people who really can't help helping. Well except in the 95 percent of the time when that person is the reason why the tide turns. But still I can see why she might be a little upset.
 photo tempestepisode233_zps30913946.jpg
I thought he was going to break out into Disney song!
But damn. Give the kid a break. Yoshino has been here from the start. The reason why you aren't a bag of bones. He saved a lot of people with his ability to keep Mahiro from not destroying the world. Would you love Yoshino if he wasn't the kind of person who risked his life to be with his friends? I think not. Despite the fact that Aika went on and on about Yoshino having a rotten personality Yoshino seems pretty nice. I mean Yoshino got a little emotional, saying these people are important to him now. They must be. Aika is dead and I am thinking that Yoshino's parents are dead too. Even though some of these people started off as enemies they are like family now and Yoshino isn't the kind of person to let his family down. So wipe away those tears Hakaze. Oh and start planning on what you are going to do once you can't use magic anymore.
 photo tempestepisode237_zpse1852a3c.jpg
To do something...important.
I am pretty surprised that everything went as smoothly as it did. How Yoshino and Mahiro got their way by saying Samon needs help with his task. We don't know what that task is, probably something to do with saving all the ships if the tree is destroyed. Megumu has come a long way and Hakaze as a super hero was a bit scaring. Take down those boats Evangeline. Because you are oh so important!
 photo tempestepisode239_zpsd7a407e0.jpg
NOOOOO! We were so close!
The episode ends with everything going according to plan. Evangeline is the most useful person ever, Hakaze is battling a fake Exodus mage, and Megumu might actually save the day. I know, it is shocking. This kid has come a long way. But what is this? Someone aboard the easy peasy capture boat had a gun? And Yoshino got shot?! I AM SHOCKED! It is like Hakaze saw the future and knew something horrible was going to happen. SHOCKED! Is Aika not going to get her happy ending? I mean besides the fact that she is dead and all? I mean...can this end happily if Yoshino joins Aika but the rest of the world is saved? XO One more episode to go and we will find out!!! Stay tuned.

Zetsuen no Tempest episode 22

Ugh I think I messed this post up by hitting compose before I typed this part. Sorry. :( Zetsuen no Tempest episode 22 time. Spoilers for Yoshino getting messed up obviously.
 photo tempestepisode2213_zps0ec4b5b4.jpg
Um......you okay Yoshino?

 photo tempestepisode228_zpsdb226e77.jpg
Aika just died that's all. Don't let it get you down.
Episode Summary: Evangeline and her important self are riding around with Takumi. He has just gotten word that everyone has agreed that the Genesis Stump will be protected. The world has spoken and they choose to protect this tree. Takumi is supposed to head up stopping and finding people against Genesis AKA the Exodus Mage. No bueno right? They talk about how they have to wait for Hakaze's answer as she has arrived back in town recently. She and Samon have gone to visit Aika's grave. Hakaze buried Aika's letters there since traveling back in time requires bones and nakedness. She has told Samon what Aika had send and Samon is a bit shocked that Aika was the mage but no faces follow. They wonder if Yoshino and Mahiro will turn on Hakaze because of the news. Hakaze sucks it up and tells Mahiro and Yoshino all that she knows and they sit there nodding their heads and understanding. Mahiro decides this all makes magical sense and Yoshino talks about how awful Aika's personality is despite the fact she is trying to save the world. Hakaze questions why the boys don't blame her for causing this John Conner situation. Mahiro points out it was his desire for revenge that ultimately sent Hakaze back in time and that if Aika hadn't been dating Yoshino she might have chosen a different path. So either everyone is at fault or no one is. Samon and Evangeline the important are quietly shocked at this reactions. Megumu decides that everything sucks and proceeds to beat the shit out of Yoshino and Mahiro. He says the situation sucks and no one should accept this logic and how can a happy ending even occur. Everyone is in shock and Mahiro says that they need to destroy the tree or no one can move forward.
 photo tempestepisode2211_zps3194b4de.jpg
This is how boys handle problems. I see indeed.
Much to Megumu's shock Mahiro smiles and says that Megumu just showed he is badass and is able to destroy the tree. Yoshino agrees that this needs to happen so they can read Aika's final messages to them. He then requests to be healed as he spews out blood. After Yoshino is done dying everyone who is important comes together to formulate a plan. All the countries have sent what is left of their fleets out to protect the stump. They are armed and ready to attack, especially Megumu the mage. There are three boats very close to the stump studying it and what not. They have to destroy the tree or civilization will be reset in a few years. Yet if they do an all out battle people will die and war will break out, especially since the Genesis tree promises protection or what people think is protection. But this will be hard to accomplish as Megumu is the only one whose magic will work against the Genesis tree and it will fight back. And if those ships don't move they will get trapped in the crossfire. So how can this happen. Megumu starts to panic and Mahiro says that since Aika got them into this mess he will take on the burden of whatever happens in his hands. Mahiro then proceeds to explain his plan which may result in causalities but war and sad things will always happen. The plan is not explained but talked about later with Evangeline the amazing and Samon. Mainly how two regular high school boys got dragged into this craziness. Mahiro and Yoshino are drinking coffee together, talking about how Aika left them in this mess. Mahiro says family deals with family issues and Yoshino feels responsibility because he was the boyfriend. Yet they both muse that Aika was not the type to ever ask for help. A flashback with all three teenagers meeting for the first time takes place. It was originally supposed to show the parents but they were either late or unable to come. Aika seems cold at first but Mahiro is like look we are family lets be informal. That leads to Aika calling the boys by their first names and finding them super amusing. And amusing people are fun to have around. THE END!
 photo tempestepisode2215_zps38a31fb2.jpg
Well given the fact he didn't give a damn about....well anything but revenge. Surprising. XD
So much talking. TALKING TALKING! And who is the violent one? Oh that would be Megumu, the kid crying in the corner. Talk about a crazy episode.
 photo tempestepisode225_zps554431ae.jpg
The general public might need to know this truth....
I am still a bit....off about everyone embracing the killer tree. I mean...I think I have said that ever since the trees came and took over. I can get behind the idea of allowing a tree to be in charge in exchange for peace. But when that “peace” came at the price of 2 billion people I am not seeing why people aren't more upset. Yes people die all the time and yes maybe they just paid in advanced. But in the back of my mind I would be like um well what is to say that the tree won't turn on the rest of us later on? Maybe everyone is just insane from so much loss and needed to cling to something. I just wouldn't cling to the thing that caused all that loss.

Oh well...at least Megumu got to wear something cool.
So that means all the work that Takumi put into making this awesome super hero outfit was for naught. I am not sure how effective Megumu was being even before the stump showed up. I mean a lot of people watched that show that he put on and perhaps he got people thinking. But since the general public doesn't know the truth behind the trees it was going to be hard to get Megumu to be the hero. Like oh look he is here to save us from one tree so another tree will be in charge.....
 photo tempestepisode224_zps9de805aa.jpg
That would be horrible. Almost as horrible as leaving you to die on an island.
I like how when Hakaze and Samon talk there is no tension. When there should have been the most tension of all, even more than between Yoshino and Mahiro. Samon got Hakaze killed. There is no telling if Samon was going to bring her back if his plans worked. So....yeah it is weird how they are just walking around and acting like this is water under the bridge. Or maybe I should stop complaining as I want people to focus on the bigger picture that is the world and not their petty issues. So yes go pick up Aika's letters and worry if the boys are going to blame Hakaze. Stay focused. XD
 photo tempestepisode226_zps0b6df712.jpg
Maybe that is his broken face?
I am going to have to side with Megumu even if he did so in a violent manner. Yoshino and Mahiro were like....oh so that is the truth. Everyone was looking at them as if they have lost their minds. Because really they have. Especially Mahiro. Wasn't everyone worried what he would do as revenge was his prime motive for the entire series? If there was no one to take revenge upon wouldn't that mean everything he did (to him) would have been for nothing? I mean maybe Mahiro was falling apart and turning to shit on the inside, like he has been the entire show but dang. I would have at least laugh out of insanity at the fact that Aika killed herself.
 photo tempestepisode227_zpsb810c3ed.jpg
Not understanding that line of thinking but okay.....
Yoshino....well I guess both boys keep things inside, even if they are in pain. But Yoshino starts bringing up Aika's bad points right away. Maybe that was a way to protect himself from the awfulness that is everything. But damn. What is wrong with crying? Excusing yourself and having a cry? I mean maybe just taking Mahiro's hand and looking at the ceiling to think about all of this?
 photo tempestepisode2210_zps1fd3f0f1.jpg
Aw hell no indeed.
So while I can understand why Yoshino and Mahiro need to be men and keep things inside Megumu was like aw hell no. So thus the fists and broken glass and poor glasses of wine. Because he couldn't accept that Aika killed herself and everyone was okay with it, accept her way of doing things. People should be mad, pissed that Aika didn't think of a better plan. I mean I would be pissed too. Logically you can't punish a dead person as Aika you know...killed herself. But she took herself out of the world and left them alone to pick up the pieces. Be upset, throw something. Show some emotion. DO IT!
 photo tempestepisode2212_zpsf3d9fecc.jpg
And then you are going to punch him back?
I do think that the dialogue would have been stronger after Megumu beat the shit out of the boys. Like yes we have to be strong and go through with Aika's plan or else she would have died for nothing. Or to wipe away angry tears saying of course I miss Aika but this is what she wanted! If I cried it would ruin her memory. Something like that. Instead Mahiro smiles and says thanks for showing us you are a badass have fun saving the world.
 photo tempestepisode2211_zps3194b4de.jpg
Megumu doesn't know his own strength I am guessing.
After they put Yoshino back together (seriously folks X___X) it was battle plan time. I think the boats around the tree are a bit of overkill. That being said I hope there are planes in the air and subs under the water. But I guess things aren't as peachy as everyone thinks they are. Maybe the people who are holding hands loving the Genesis tree are worried that the few naysayers will get their hands on some weapons? Just because most of the people in the world are stupid/scared doesn't mean that people are going to take this laying down.
 photo tempestepisode2214_zps86a14914.jpg
Because Megumu wasn't scared enough folks!
Now it is a good thing I am not apart of this planning. XD Because I would be like....well since 2 billion people have already died what is a few boats full of people. I would give them warning and then take the tree out. Because it is either them or the entire world. Is that harsh? I don't know. I guess if I was in the meeting I would suggest that they use Hakaze and her crew to protect everyone while Megumu did all the fighting. Good compromise yes?

But everyone else was thinking about the bigger picture. That they are trying to save the world and not start another war which is what would happen if they just went in guns ablazin. So I can see why everyone was being serious and thinking this through. Like we got to put the word boyfriend aside and focus on the future. Add in the fact that Hakaze's magic and the magic of her people won't work so close to the tree (maybe not even enough to protect the ships) and this is going to be a hard order to fulfill.
 photo tempestepisode22_zpsaf4fb3ce.jpg
Those two need each other even though I don't think they are very good friends....
I am not sure if Mahiro and Yoshino should take on this responsibility because of Aika. Nor would I call it a mistake that Aika killed herself. I am interested in what Mahiro's plan is. Everyone seems very shocked at his wanting to save the world since revenge will never happen. I think Evangeline the useless and her conversation was more on track of what is true that Mahiro and Yoshino blaming themselves. Although I am wondering how Yoshino and Mahiro will help in this battle despite being normal teenagers.
 photo tempestepisode222_zps6783f728.jpg
How dare you show up to this awkward meeting!
The flashback with Aika and the boys was odd. I really didn't find them that odd or weird. I get the whole saying the first name thing but other than that it seems like everyone was being themselves. Not so sure why Aika thought they were so amusing. Nor do I know why Yoshino always gets told he has a wicked personality. But they all met and it doesn't seem like Mahiro even knew Aika for that long. Family can happen fast though so who am I to judge? They all deserve each other I am sure.
 photo tempestepisode229_zpsc39857d5.jpg
They are going to save the world?
So as it stands everyone knows the truth, Megumu can be badass in 60 second increments, and next episode it appears one of the boys are going to be using magic near the tree? The end is drawing near. Are we going to get a happy ending Aika? That has yet to be seen. But soon we shall know.

Zetsuen no Tempest episode 21

See! I promised you back to back episodes. A bit special to blog and hopefully everything stayed in its proper post but up at the same time. Now that I think about it I might have included a line about Megumu that should have been in the last post but meh. They go together. And I am behind on blogging so there should be no spoilers. All is good still.

Quit asking questions!!
So yes now it is Zetsuen no Tempest episode 21 times. Spoilers for Hakaze not having an awesome MOG face. :(

There are giant trees controlling the world. What's not to believe?
Episode Summary: Hakaze is like what.....so Aika repeats herself. I am the mage of Exodus. Aika decides that the police might think they look suspicious so she jumps off the roof and tells Hakaze to do the same. Hakaze is starting to wonder if this was real life. Meanwhile back in the future everyone is freaking out because a HUGE Genesis tree has appeared in the middle of nowhere. Much bigger than the rest. Clearly something needs to be done but public opinion has been swayed too much. There is some talk about how the Tree of Genesis wants to give them a test. Evangeline explains, since she is an expert now, that all the legends of dragons and evil snakes were past civilizations trying to give the future clues on how to beat the Tree of Genesis. There will be a test and if they pass humanity can live on. If they fail humanity will be reset and civilization will start over. Aika repeats these words to Hakaze as well, that if the tree of Genesis is not destroyed in 10 years almost no humans will survive. Due to how Hakaze has worded things Aika has figured out she has been murdered and due to some events Mahiro found Hakaze so she could meet Yoshino so she will fall in love with him to stop the tree of Genesis. The more Aika talks the more Hakaze doesn't want to kill Aika. Aika is the coldest person on the face of the planet is like oh so I will die to save the world and my powers will be transferred to Megumu and I probably should eat that ice cream in the fridge.
Photobucket
I still think she is alive but that is just me.
Hakaze wants to know how Aika is so calm when Mahiro and Yoshino will cry forever. Aika says she is doing this for them and it becomes Shakespeare all over my face. Hakaze says this will bring about tragedy while Aika thinks this can still end with everyone happy. Basically she is okay with dying but not okay with Hakaze making Yoshino cry. This lead to a face punching and Aika decides she is either going to kill Aika herself now or keep Aika from killing herself. This means it is battle time. Aika mocks Hakaze a bit, that her magic is so limited so those in the clan won't rise to power. Hakaze holds her own and tries to hold Aika back but Aika is so much stronger. She talks to the viewers about how she has known she is the mage of Exodus since she was 10 and therefore felt cut off from the rest of the world. The only two people who connected to her were Mahiro and Yoshino who felt the need to protect her. Thus she will die for them and give them a happy ending. She overpowers Hakaze, telling her that when Hakaze uses magic it really just powers her up. Aika knocks out Hakaze, goes to her house, and kills herself. Aika wakes up a while later and tries to make it to Aika in time but doesn't make it. She sees Aika looking all smily in death and that a note has been left for her. It says that this is what Aiak wants and to give Yoshino and Mahiro the other part of the note after the tree of Genesis is defeated. Hakaze runs out of the house and cries in front of the grave that Aika will be under soon. She has herself a cry and says she will save the world after paying her respects. She goes back to the house and sees Mahiro at the scene of the crime. She leaves to go back to the past but sees Yoshino running up the steps. She takes off as well, declaring this whole thing wrong and awful. THE END!

The tree was like Hakaze is gone, time to hurry before Aika reveals she is still alive.
See! I feel as if I forgot something important about this episode because I was watching the two back to back. Like I am sure there was more conversation in the present but I can't remember. I don't even think these are first world problems. More like crazy half white girl first world problems. XD
Photobucket
That lovable Aika....
I just want to add that a lot of people on the internets seem to like Aika more after this episode. I am not sure where that is coming from as she basically acted the same if not worse. I mean I guess the decision she has made regarding her future makes her a strong person but everything else? I can't even call her a robot. She is beyond robot. Like Japanese crazy girl problems. XD
Photobucket
Errr......yeah. Poor Hakaze indeed.
First things first. Hakaze was not having a good day folks. I mean she has lost a lot throughout this show. Imagine having a strong belief in a religion and little by little being told that it is evil and not something worth protecting. Her brother tried to save the world but that meant killing her. She is in love with a guy who is in love with his dead girlfriend. Her ally Mahiro might have the worse attitude on the face of the planet and at the end of this she still might end up dead. Now the girl that is the emotional cause of everything is like OH I am the mage of Exodus lalala. Feel out the situation and be a little more serious. I guess this is Aika's punishment for not taking Aika's death seriously when discussing it with others.
Photobucket
So simple really.
This show does one thing all the time and that is having the same conversation take place at the same time. Sometimes at work and other times it doesn't. In the present a huge tree has appeared, the main Genesis tree. The end is near! I am not sure who appointed Evangeline as the giver outer of important information. I think that Samon has earned that right. But yeah she was talking about how the Genesis tree is going to test us and that there have been hints on how to defeat it throughout history. I think with all the theories going on it is starting to hurt my head on what is going on. Aliens sent this to curb civilization but if we pass a test we can live? Okay then.
Photobucket
How do you know all of this?!?!?!
This feeds into what Aika was telling Hakaze. Later on in the episode it is revealed that Aika has been the mage of Exodus since the age of 10. That explains why none of this nonsense bothers her but doesn't explain why she knows all of this. Like...who told her? I gather that Hakaze comes from an ancient family and they discovered this back in the day. But Aika was walking to 4th grade and suddenly a sleeping tree communicate to her that she is the mage and has the ability to create things like fireballs and swords out of nowhere? Yeah okay. I don't think there will be much more back story to this so this is all we get.
Photobucket
Um....you might be missing the point. Just maybe. Or maybe I am.
Aika knew that there was magic and trees and what not. But I thought she handled her death/impending doom way too casually. No wonder Hakaze was like what is wrong with you???!?! I mean you wish you didn't waste time studying for your test? I can understand wanting to do the right thing but you can still cry about it right? She was just too....bleh about it. It is hard to describe. Like way too cool for school, too cool for life. She is allowed to be afraid yet still die to help the world out or at least Mahiro and Yoshino.
Photobucket
You do know that this isn't a video game right?
Then when she came to the dramatic conclusion that she kills herself...after 5 seconds of thinking...she was AOKAY with that too. I mean score another point for me being right but she was like smile smile yay I kill myself time to go to the mall and buy an awesome knife. Just...I think Kuybey showed more emotion that this girl and he was dealing with other people. Oh and he had no emotions. Aika just came off as weird. Like look I have been so cut off from people for so long I am numb to emotions.
Photobucket
Um....shouldn't you be crying that you are dead?
I think Hakaze is an emotional girl who likes to think things out, have a cry, and then try to do the right thing. Since Aika skipped the important crying part Hakaze got upset. Hakaze was waiting for Aika to cry and say please find a way to save me, I want to be with Yoshino. But Aika was like yep time to die and it pissed Hakaze off because she would fight for Yoshino and feels that Aika isn't doing that. Aika skipped the impractical wishing portion of the talking and it makes Hakaze mad.
Photobucket
When you are done acting out your death how about we talk?
So...I do have a question. And maybe this will be addressed later. But....okay Aika thinks she has to die so Hakaze can come in contact with Yoshino so she would stop the tree of Genesis. However.....if Aika didn't die Mahiro would have ignored the message in the bottle. Maybe someone else would have found it but who knows if they would have been successful. Mahiro was hired to help STOP the Genesis tree. Only because Yoshino had an attack of crying that either trees survived that day. So if Aika doesn't die Samon will go through with his plan. Maybe even succeed. Maybe. And we would have a dead Hakaze and 2 billion alive people. Putting aside the John Connor dad Terminator crap isn't this a big issue?! Just wondering.
Photobucket
Not exactly good verses evil is it?
I think the girls needed to fight it out for a variety of reasons. To show who is the biggest princess, who loves Yoshino more, who wants to protect the planet more. A lot of emotions going on. It was another nail in the coffin for Hakaze though. Like look you aren't the strongest mage out there. Aika just kicked your butt. Oh and it was a time to quote Shakespeare again. I am going to BURN those books now. At least they both realized they were being used and MOG they shouldn't be fighting at all.
Photobucket
:( So sad yes?
After the battle Hakaze had to face Aika's death alone. At least we know why hommie was smiling. I like that Hakaze took a moment to cry, looked at Mahiro and Yoshino, and resolved to make things better. She knew what had to happen but still took a moment to reflect on how horrible this all is. I wonder what is in the note though. Why does Aika want them to read it after she is gone and not now? HMMM! I don't know if there are any more mysteries left other than what the trees were doing here to begin with. Time to trim down the cast? Nope that would be a tragedy.
