Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun episode 13 FINAL EPISODE!

DEEP BREATHES PEOPLE! Hahaha is it bad it is day two of the year 2013 and I am already going X___X over things. Oh my silly little life. At least I got pie today. My life can't be that special if I got pie. Can you imagine life without pie? XO The horror!!!
Photobucket
Someone dies!!!! Just kidding. XD
Speaking of horror...I guess I might as well finish up the series Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. You know, since it ended last year. XD So episode 13. Spoilers for there being a second season probably.
Photobucket
See?! Haru can be sweet and romantic at times. More of this please!
Episode Summary: The episode starts where episode 11 left off, with Asako sorta confessing to Misawa. Souhei watches on but joins everyone else because the sun is rising. He does see that Asako has left the group but doesn't go after her. Shizuku starts arguing that they can't see the sunrise because of the building being in the way. Haru says it still counts and eventually everyone agrees with Shizuku. The party ends and Shizuku goes back to her life of studying. Until one day Haru dressed in something odd appears at her window. He says he is looking for something very important but has no time to state what he is looking for. He acts insane and leaves. Shizuku notes that he dropped his phone when jumping down from the window. Asako who was all sad and lonely with her computer at a cafe is visited upon by Haru who is still looking for something. He explains nothing and runs off but leaves behind his net. Haru runs to school and sees Souhei with his baseball buddies. He fails to explain the situation to the boys and runs off, leaving behind....um something. I can't remember what. XD Elsewhere in town Kenji is with his buddies as one of his gang has just had an operation to remove his appendix. Kenji goes to leave early but everyone ends up outside to get some drinks. Haru stumbles out of the bushes looking for something. No one understands what the hell is going and Haru leaves without taking his wallet.
Photobucket
Um perhaps you should stay in the hospital please....
Shizuku starts getting calls from people about insane Haru so she goes to drop off the phone at the batting cage building. She finds Asako and her blushy face already there. Misawa has stepped out but Asako still has to be all bushy. Asako wants to wait for Haru so Shizuku hands her the phone and says see ya. Asako is like WHAT but eventually everyone else ends up there with Haru's crap. Shizuku goes home to study but finds herself thinking of Haru. She goes to eat but is out of rice SHOCKING! She runs out to purchase some noms. While this was all happening Yuu happened upon Haru's chicken and sends a pic to Chizuru who tries to give her directions to the batting cage. Shizuku runs into the chicken holder and takes her to the batting cage. Everyone realizes that Haru was looking for his chicken and is probably still out there. Shizuku thinks that Haru might be by the river. So...she leaves to go home as does Kenji. Asako is shocked and makes everyone else look for Haru. The three Kenji boys are acting special while Souhei tries to find out what is going on with Asako and Misawa. She gets all blushy and doesn't want to talk and who knows what is happening there. After Shizuku helps Kenji find his way home she finds or is found by Haru. He explains he wasn't looking for the chicken but a glow bug that is not a firefly. He says it is so pretty and wants to see it with Shizuku. Some anime magic happens and the bug (firefly) flies by and Haru is so excited. Shizuku looks at him and is caught up in how Haru sees the world. She hopes that one day she can be like him and then talks about how she hasn't had time to explain (insert other characters here) yet but she will. One day. THE END!
Photobucket
Because....it is? XO
I am pretty sure my eyes melted from my head out of boredom. They were like screw you guys I am going home. Only home is in my skull so they had to act like Kenjji and pretend that they just got lost. In any event what a way to end a series guys. I am so impressed.
Photobucket
No apparently there is going to be more.
Or really should I say season? Because the way Shizuku was talking towards the end obviously there is going to be a Season Two. And there has to be even if Shizuku hadn't said “And I need to tell you about this person, this person, oh and him too.” No one is an actual couple!!! A slice of life romance show and there isn't officially a couple despite the fact that Haru and Shizuku confessed to each other 12454 times during the show. We got unpaired teenagers folks and that just won't due.
Photobucket
That would be Souhei trying to be slick. Is it working?
Needless to say we didn't get to hear an answer from Misawa in regards to Asako sorta asking him out. An implied asking out. But the thing is I don't think he gave an answer. I think he sat there all X___X after she said so and then she left the party because she didn't want to hear him say no. I guess it makes more sense that there will be a season two because even if she did get an answer it would be odd for her to automatically go be with Souhei. These things take time.
Photobucket
I noticed Asako! Please come back!
Asako leaving the party and no one really saying anything (although Souhei noticed) was sad. Shizuku. Open your eyes. Well your eyes were too busy noticing that there was a building in the way of your sunrise. Funny how they didn't notice that until the very moment the sunrise happened. I think I am in the frame of mind a sunrise counts as you see it, not the horizon. But yes Shizuku. Stop harping on boring things and notice your friend just walked away.
Photobucket
What exactly are you saying?
So after all the party stuff....most of the episode focused on Haru running around town and running into anyone who had a speaking role during this series. Like hello I am dressed weird and am looking for something. Have you seen it? Of course I don't have time to tell you what it is I have to go. But since I am Mr. Magoo I will leave behind something of mine. Have a good time.
Photobucket
The chicken was neglected!
Like....thanks for making the episode special. I did assume though that they were looking for the chicken. Which is probably the point. It doesn't make it any less annoying. Like come on and open your mouth. How are people supposed to help you if you don't tell them what you are looking for? No time? Well people asking and telling you that you in fact are insane is taking up time. Good thing Haru is naturally crazy or this obvious ender episode would feel out of place.
Photobucket
I am wondering that too. X____X
So everyone came together because Haru was leaving them with a weird experience. I especially thought it was a stretch as Kenji and his people were in the hospital. If you are in the hospital because your appendix was taken out maybe you should stay there. Not go outside with your friends so you can run into Haru. Haru running into everyone else made sense though.
Photobucket
Begone from my screen!
Yuu being the one to find the chicken was just....no. No bueno. Stop trying to make Yuu happen. She reminds me of a stereotypical “nerd”....boy though. One that breathes really heavily through their mouths and are so beyond awkward. Just creepy girl. I rather see more of Chizuru than Yuu. Just say no to Yuu.
Photobucket
Just run away from all the craziness!
I am not sure why Asako had to be at the batting cage. But I guess if she wasn't then there would be no reason for anyone else to stay and no bonding would happen ect ect. But Asako would have the least likely reason to stay. I thought she was avoiding Misawa. Unless she is doing that girl thing where you want something but you don't want it and you pretend to do something to hide the fact that you are really getting something else out of it. All that said...Shizuku is so cold. Like here I got to study. Because I am not wasting time on the person I claim to love. She and Asako could have played cards or something. Since the anime magic was compelling someone to stay behind. Poor Asako.
Photobucket
Me and my rice are leaving!
But if you think about it Shizuku was really cold to Haru later. Everyone was going to look for him after Yuu returns with the chicken and Shizuku thinks she knows where Haru might be. But Shizuku is the only one who doesn't go look for Haru. Well Kenji doesn't either but even if he did he would have gotten lost anyway. She leaves everyone behind because she has to study and make rice. I think that Kenji did think Shizuku was leaving early to go look for Haru but was doing that girl thing and hiding it. Yet Shizuku helps Kenji find the main road when he gets lost. What is up with her?! It was supposed to be romantic. She was supposed to blush and say well it was better to look for you now than something else horrible happen but really she cares deep down.
Photobucket
I'll find you instead.
Despite the fact that Shizuku didn't look for Haru thus didn't earn her romantic moment...Haru finds her anyway. That staircase is where the magic happens. Haru appears and is like I am looking for a thing that glows at night and is an insect but is not a firefly. Spoiler alert it turns out that it was a firefly. But Haru wanted to find this sucker because it was so beautiful and thinks that it would have looked more beautiful if he saw it with her.
Photobucket
I think that her heart is two sizes two small sometimes.
The show ends on an awwww moment. The bug ends up flying by and Shizuku sees how excited Haru is to see the bug with her. She thinks to herself that one day she hopes to like Haru as much as he likes her. X___X The way she was going on and on made it sound like she hasn't confessed to him at all. She should have said things like “I hope to be as happy as him” one day.
Photobucket
She did make one tiny step in asking Asako if she was okay. One tiny, tiny step.
Clearly Shizuku has some growing to do folks. Thus there is going to be a season two. She talked about how she hasn't really talked about the other characters yet and she and Haru aren't official. Now just because there is going to be a season two eventually doesn't mean I will be watching it. With all the unnecessary violence against Shizuku, Shizuku being so focused on studying it makes my head bleed, and the fact that everything is all complicate for no reason...it wasn't all that enjoyable to watch. It was a hot mess most of the time. But I love Asako so I might watch for her. Just hard to tell. I guess for now I am signing out for this series though. Thanks for reading!

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun episode 12

HAPPY NEW YEAR...plus one day!!! XD I am starting off the New Year all sleepy. I meant to have this posted on the 1st but I was busy yawning and cleaning up from our festive times in the past week. And being lazy. I think it was mostly being lazy as we stayed up way too late on New Year's Day. Hope the husband is okay at work. He usually is in bed by 10. XD His sleep schedule is all off whack probably.
Photobucket
Happy New Year to you too!
But Happy New Year anyway!!! To celebrate the New Year lets have an anime post that celebrates the day as well! Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun episode 12 will do just that for us! Spoilers for the entire episode being about Asako weee!
Photobucket
You can do it!
Episode Summary: Asako is working up courage to walk into the Batting Cage Shop Thingy Thing. She has come to return an item to Souhei but all she can think about is how she gets tongue tied and blushy around Misawa. Souhei is at the cage with his friends and soon there is the equivalent to giggling because MOG a girl is here. Soon one boy is pushed to the front while everyone else eggs him on to talk to Asako. Asako stands there knowing what this is all about and leaves before the boy can confess to her. As she is leaving with a stomp Souhei stops her on the staircase to say that she is rude and that when boys hit on her its all her fault. Asako is like are you dumb all I want is to have female friends and run the friendship of life together. But then she confesses she knows that she was rude but being around boys is hard. Souhei then talks about how Asako is in love with Misawa which is news to her. She starts mumbling and goes to leave when a goofy looking Haru appears. After Haru talked about how he was holding himself back Shizuku panicked and didn't want to see a crazy Haru. So she tells him that they are going to spend New Year's Eve together and she is going to plan a picnic for them. But until then Haru needs to back off. Asako and Souhei are like you have been had dude. At school Shizuku packs up her stuff and says she will see them all next year. Haru is still smiling about the promises Shizuku made but Asako points out that he won't see her for a week now. That doesn't matter to Haru and he goes out with Asako to eat some weird food. They have fun together and Asako thinks how it is easy to be around Haru as he only thinks of Shizuku which takes pressure off her. He bids her goodbye and winter break begins. Everyone is seen around town or having lazy days. Asako spends time on the internet pretending she is having a great time but really she is doing nothing. On New Year's Eve Shizuku calls and Asako gets her hopes up. Only Shizuku wanted help programming her TV. Asako's little heart breaks and she cries she is so lonely.
Photobucket
Look at her saving the day. XD
Fast forward a few minutes and Asako and Haru are at Shizuku's house ready to spend the night. Shizuku is like....okay I guess I will make food for you fools. At first Asako is happy but wonders if these fun times will change if Shizuku and Haru actually become a couple. They end up falling asleep and are awoken when Souhei calls inviting them to go to a temple. It is past midnight but Asako is like we must go because we are Japanese. Only it seems that none of these fools have ever done New Year's Eve up proper. Plus they can't find Souhei. They do manage to find Kenji. His friends are off getting in a fight and Haru joins in because he is dumb. Kenji sees his chance to hit on Shizuku but as Asako points out buying her food won't work. The group runs into Chizuru and her friend Yuu. Asako has to recover from the fact that Chizuru is cheating on her but the group goes to get their fortunes told/given. Most get bad ones and they tie them away. This leads Asako to tell Chizuru that she wishes Chizuru didn't like Haru because she wants to support her friend. Chizuru tries to comfort Asako which is odd....Somehow it is decided that everyone is going to go to the batting cage building to watch the sun rise. Souhei and his people end up there too which makes Asako roll her eyes. The boy attempts to apologize to her but she isn't having that. She walks way but right into Misawa's path. He is busy talking about being old and notes that Asako is being a bit mean to the boy. Asako decides she doesn't like boys and wants to create an Asako Kingdom with just her friends. Misawa says she knows that is not true which sorta leads to Asako to confessing to Asako. Souhei hears this as he was a spy face and gets a little upset for himself but not for his friend. At the end off the episode it is shown that Souhei tried to call Asako earlier when he ran into Kenji. She didn't wake up then but a few minutes later realizing she slept through the countdown. She takes a picture of Haru and Shizuku sleeping near each other, a bit sad and happy at the same time. THE END!
Photobucket
She needs friends!
Can I just package Asako up and send her to my house? I want to save her from all the little crazies she seems to know. Of course this would require me to somehow make her real but you know...all I need is a little bit of anime magic. Woohoo for Asako being the best part of the show weeeee!
Photobucket
Woohoo New Year's Eve plans!
Also I got so behind on this anime on purpose so I could watch it New Year's Day. I planned it all out folks. I was like what better episode to watch than one that centers sorta around the end of the year and spending time with friends. See? And you all just thought I was being lazy......
Photobucket
And the words came gushing out.
Timeline wise the ends with Shizuku going X___X at the fact that Haru thinks he has been holding back. I would be making that face too if that was Haru holding back. Clearly Shizuku and the rest of the world thinks that he has been pretty bad. So for some reason Shizuku thinks of desperate plan to keep him from actually misbehaving. She actual had a Tenchi attack with the explosion of words. LetsGoOnAPicnicAndSpendNewYearsEveTogetherWEEEE!
Photobucket
But sometimes bribes are fun.
Like Souhei and Asako point out Haru has been had. Or very easily misled. Because Shizuku was only promising very little things to Haru. Things that should already be a given. If they have both confessed to each other going on dates would be a given, not a bargaining chip. But since Shizuku just likes to confess and run Haru thinks that he is getting the better end of the deal. He is off singing songs in his head when really he should be going WAIT A MINUTE I have been had. But I guess if he thinks he is getting a good deal who are we to rain on his parade? Or maybe it was Haru's plan all along to be a pain in the butt so Shizuku would be forced to spend time with him. AHA Haru is a genius.
Photobucket
Even she doesn't know why she is there.
So I thought that Asako was going over the batting cages to confess to Misawa. I was just slightly wrong there folks. Apparently Asako has moved to the stage in a relationship where forming words spoken to the opposite sex becomes impossible. So Asako has been avoiding the batting cage since the Christmas Party and she has been summoned to give Souhei....well something. I am not sure what it was or why he couldn't get it himself. Was in the pictures from the party? Maybe some anime magic to get the plot rollin.
Photobucket
Can't she go anywhere without being hit on?
I am not sure how at fault Asako was. I really didn't think she was being that rude. But when the rude is not directed at me I seem to have a higher threshold for it. That and I love Asako to tiny little pieces and she can do no wrong. But there was room full of guys who don't really know her and just think she is cute. Some of them are teasing another to talk to Asako and there is a bunch of uh uh uhs going on. I would have left too. The situation just felt off. Very uncomfortable for a girl all by herself.
Photobucket
Can I just punch you in the face?
But since Souhei is a guy he is like why are you so mean? Isn't it your fault that guys confess to you? Blah blah. I guess Asako better wear a paperbag on her head or something. I am not sure how Asako is at fault for stealing boyfriends when she doesn't do anything to cause that to happen. If boys like her that is on them, not her. She isn't leading them on. But maybe Souhei is saying all of this because he is hurt deep down that Asako doesn't like him as he has made his feelings so obviously know....or and because he is a boy.
Photobucket
How dare you know my feelings better than I do!
I thought that Asako knew she liked Misawa. Since other people are always confessing to her I thought she would know the signs just didn't partake in having a boyfriend because she rather have a female friend first. But apparently my poor little Asako is a bit special. Which is fine. Probably not but again I am a little biased. Perhaps she has been so focused on trying to help Shizuku and Haru while making sure she kept her friends she didn't recognize the signs herself. And since Souhei is watching her he could see these signs.
Photobucket
X____X Shizuku is not full of fun.
After Asako got over being embarrassed I went back to feeling bad for her again. I know Shizuku has a lot of studying to do but all winter break? Was the cram school even opened that late? Early? All day? I don't know it just felt so sad when Shizuku was like see ya next year. I mean I guess I should have felt bad for Haru too but at least he has other people to hang out with. Plus he was promised outing later. Well so was Asako. Wait why didn't she track down Chizuru?
Photobucket
I can understand bonding over things you know will be bad. XD
But it does seem that Asako does hang out with Haru at least a tiny bit of the time without Shizuku. If it was with any other boy/girl couple there would be jealously. But since this is Shizuku and Haru going out for awful snacks is fine. So that was cute to watch, just wish they went out more often so Asako wasn't so lonely.
Photobucket
So you can be even smarter than Shizuku.
I mean the point was almost driven home with the clips of everyone else doing other things. Asako was pretending to do things on her blog while everyone else was out and about. Not Haru of course because he was reading about monkeys. Sometimes I am okay with being alone too. Like yep just going to stay home and blog today. But other times I want to head out with my friends. :( So Asako being lonely really made me sad. Hugs for Asako.
Photobucket
Maybe she is sparkling because Shizuku can't program anything on the TV.
Shizuku is really special at times. It is New Year's Eve and she knows that Asako is desperate for attention/friendship. So she calls the girl to help program a TV special. I would have started crying too. Like pay attention to me so I will invite myself over. Really I don't know what Shizuku is thinking. The writers are making Shizuku so beyond human its not even funny. There was not going to be any cram school that night or for quite a few days. Plus if you study too much your brain explodes, these are true facts. So why not just invite over the “boyfriend” and friend? She should have expected this.
Photobucket
More time with friends?! Sign me up now!
I just love Asako's excited face when Souhei calls them to go to the temple/shrine. I mean deep down it probably is sad that she is so desperate for friendship. Going to a temple seems obvious to do with friends on New Year's Eve so her being so excited probably means that this hasn't happened very much to her. :( See why I want to ship her to my house. Time to get up like you weren't just dead asleep and have some fun.
Photobucket
Danger?! Fighting? Why aren't I there already?!
This must be a small town/part of the city they live in folks. Everyone is always running into Kenji and his crew. I like how Haru doesn't even know what is going on with the fight and is like sure I will join in. but not before drop kicking his own friend in the head. This is what male friendships are made of folks. Also farts and Hooters.
Photobucket
Suck it. That is what I heard.
Since most of the episode focused on Asako she was the one interacting with Kenji despite the fact that Kenji was trying to hit on Shizuku. I do love her little snarky face, saying that Kenji can't buy Shizuku's affection. Now one might think that Asako is being a little harsh but she is really just trying to protect her friends. Even if she realizes that if Shizuku and Haru become an actual couple it will affect how much time she gets with Shizuku. See how she does the right thing and can still be a little snarky?
Photobucket
Hugs for everyone!!!!
Her interactions with Chizuru were special as well. Like I thought were were lonely birds together what are you doing with a friend?! Although Yuu is a bit special too.....maybe Chizuru should stick with Asako. But Asako has a big heart. She wants Chizuru to be happy too and knows that Haru only looks at Shizuku. She wants to support her friend but knowing it won't work out for her friend she feels conflicted. It sounds like Chizuru knows that too but getting over someone takes time. Asako was just so sad for her friend at that moment it makes upset that she hasn't had any girlfriends before. She is a dream friend.
Photobucket
Did I mention that girl is creepy? Goodbye Yuu.
The group somehow makes it to the battling cage to watch the sunrise. X___X Why didn't my friends and I think of that? We were so close to it anyway what was a few more hours? But that meant there would be time for there to be Souhei/Asako/Misawa interaction. Haru and Shizuku were just off looking at themselves and not being all that romantic.
Photobucket
At this point Haru is more romantic with Asako than Souhei is!
I am not sure why Souhei was trying to help his friend talk to Asako when he likes Asako and he knows she likes Misawa. That part was weird. But him spying on conversations and looking a little sad about how he got left behind....well there still could have been more hints to this romance. Souhei saying well I lost a few episodes back when there has been no hints of it? I know romance takes time to develop but maybe some small smiles and blushy faces on Souhei part would have been nice.
Photobucket
You are so old Misawa. Where is your walker?
Asako talking to Misawa was....well it was a lot of things. I don't think he is that much older than the rest of the group. Maybe 8 years at the most. Yet he is an old man in his eyes. Probably how I refer to myself at work when compared to everyone else. So when Asako was talking to him about not liking boys and sometimes being mean you could get the feeling he was thinking AW what a cute little girl. Asako probably thinks that Misawa has been asking about her because he likes her when really Misawa just wants Haru to have friends. And maybe he wants to be around sane people. Asako is sane people.
Photobucket
Um....what will Misawa say in response?
In her own way Asako confessed. And since Misawa is an old guy he probably knows what she was trying to say. But she said it in a way that was playful, if that is how you wanted it to be. So if he playfully rejected her no one would get hurt. So I predict next episode he will probably tell Asako to run along with people her own age and not to stick around with old (poor) men. That way Asako can save face even though they both know she will be hurt. :( So then Souhei can just swoop in or something? I suppose.
Photobucket
I am sure that Shizuku will appreciate that photo.
Is that all that happened with the episode? I did write a novel didn't I? Asako is so cute though!!! I bet she wouldn't appreciate me saying that though. Kenji had a little moment of where he thought he could confess to Shizuku, Shizuku is like I got to go on a picnic now, and everyone wonders if there is anyone else in this town. So...next episode should be New Year Eve's from Shizuku's point of view and getting ready for the picnic? Probably ending with the couple actually sharing a kiss as a couple? A weird little show where both people already made their confesses by episode 2. Well...at least I got an episode of Asako?

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun episode 11

Photobucket
Ah memories of...being horrible friends to each other...
XO So much to do and so little time to do it in. Maybe my New Years Resolution should be to have better time management. Although my current was to be on time to work and I think I was on time twice this year......so yeah. XD Here is a post anyway folks. Episode 11 of Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun. Spoilers for Kenji putting me to sleep.
Photobucket
Oh snap there is touching!!
Episode Summary: Shizuku and Kenji are attending their cram school and Kenji is slowly losing his mind. Every move and word she says is super analyzed by him. Kenji thinks back to how he has always considered himself to be part of the elite and doesn't understand why he is in this dumb cram school or why he likes Shizuku. At school Souhei hands out pictures from their Christmas party and Asako says they should have one next year without the hanger oners. Haru enjoys looking at the pictures until he sees Kenji with Shizuku. At Kenji's school his friends are complaining about not having girlfriends and how Kenji gets all the girls. Kenji doesn't seem to care about any of that and tries to make his way around town despite having a terrible directional sense. While walking he comes across Chizuru's friend Yuu who acts creepy. He walks a bit faster and saves Shizuku from being runover by a bike since she is too busy studying to pay attention. He notes she is just as plain as the girl (Yuu) from earlier so why does he like her? Haru happens to see Kenji touching Shizuku and loses his mind. Shizuku starts yelling and Kenji uses the situation to make things worse for Haru. This causes Haru to chuck a can of drink and of course it hits Shizuku.
Photobucket
What beady eyes you have!
Shizuku is mad during cram school and Kenji tries throwing Haru under the bus while accidentally insulting Shizuku. He goes too far and says that he would be a better guy for Shizuku. She seems to not notice this slip but Kenji has a heart attack anyway. Shizuku says a few things that are a bit iffy and gives Kenji a little hope. But he runs into Yuu again so he stomps off. He gets lost and runs into Haru who was probably waiting for Shizuku after class. Kenji remembers how Haru was going to push him off the stairs at the Christmas party and acts a bit wary around him. Despite all the hatred going on between the two boys Haru helps Kenji to the station. While walking Kenji remember how they met when they were younger, with Haru beating Kenji on a test. Kenji started to bully Haru but Haru still followed him around like a lost puppy. But throughout the years Kenji ignored Haru what with all his fights and all. But Shizuku yelling at Kenji about being Haru's friend changed him that day. Haru interrupts his thoughts, talking about how he (Haru) hasn't changed and he is afraid that Shizuku will leave him behind. Haru ends this tender moment by basically threatening Kenji with violence. Haru then starts thinking back to his childhood, how he and his brother used to be close but when they were forced to change schools because of his bad behavior all of that changed. Shizuku interrupts this sad train of thought by walking up to Haru. Haru is honest with his feelings and tells Shizuku he loves her and Shizuku gets all embarrassed. But then Haru says he has been restraining himself all this time. Shizuku is like um when and decides that the two just keep clashing and can never meet in the middle. Somewhere else in town Asako arrives at the batting center ready to confess her love. THE END!
Photobucket
Oh look Shizuku got hurt.
And then that was boring. I am pretty sure I watched this episode last Wednesday and I am now getting around to blogging it. I was like no I can't blog or watch anything else until I get this done. Well nothing got done obviously. I blame this boring episode. No blame on me.
Photobucket
Do you guys have names?
I think the problem is two fold. One the pacing of this episode was all over the place. I couldn't figure out when the time frame was happening in the present most of the time. I thought Asako had the Christmas Party on Christmas but then Kenji's friends (whom I guess I am never learning their names) were talking about not having girlfriends near Christmas. I guess the party could have been before hand. Must have been since Souhei had party pictures. But then there were random flashbacks and moment of reflections and switching who was in charge of the scene. It just didn't flow well for some reason and now I am having a hard time explaining why. X___X
Photobucket
Because if she doesn't have time for Haru she has time for you?
The second reason why this episode was a snooze was it was all about Kenji. I really don't care about him. Maybe it is because the main couple of this series was decided long ago in episode 2 with both people already confessing. Maybe it is because looking at Kenji makes eyes want to pop out of my head. Maybe it is because my heart is two sizes two small. Whatever it may be Kenji....I am not feeling his little story. It is almost too little too late and it feels like a waste.
Photobucket
Then he threw it on the ground.
Of course spending more time watching Shizuku and Haru go around in circles and not connecting would be boring too. Like how many more problems do they need to have? They confessed and like each other yet there is always issues. So I guess there is only so much of that we can watch before our eyes can get bored and watch something else. I would compare it to a soap opera but then my eyes would fill with little tears as my soaps were canceled more than two years ago. :(

Nom Nom Nom.
I am just not sure Kenji is the best choice to focus on. It would be fine if he actually liked Shizuku himself but half the time it seems he just focuses on her to get at Haru. I am not down for that kind of love. Or like. That and he looks down on Shizuku. Basically calling her stupid and plain. Wow so romantic. Of course Shizuku is getting soda bottles thrown at her head by the other guy who likes her so I guess it could be worse....

Cause she is a dog?
But since this episode mainly focused on Kenji...let me briefly talk about him. A jerk no doubt. Apparently boys can't be friends ever or the universe would explode. He does seem to think about his actions a lot more than people who chuck soda bottles all over the place. Like oh Shizuku is saying this so I will reply with this. I can appreciate someone who is thinking about what to say...even if it comes across as a little....cunning? I think cunning is a nice way to put it.

What the heck was this all about?! X___X
And when Kenji is liking Shizuku for her and not to make Haru jealous it is cute. I can appreciate the blushy faces and what not. Not sure what was going on with Kenji giving Yuu weird glances. Are those two going to be a couple with everyone accepts that Shizuku and Haru are the real deal? If so that would be even....well more pointless. Like our first glance at this girl is someone randomly staring at another person. So....what was my point? I think I forgot. But Kenji can be cute about the situation even if it is too little, too late, and a bit hateful.

Ah friendship. Such a wonderful thing.
So the rest of the episode focused on Haru and his can throwing self. This kid needs to go to boot camp or something. I do not find his random violent outbursts cute or funny. Just grow up already. Again he didn't mean to hit Shizuku and yes Kenji was being a jerk. But stop hurting people. You can get jealous but try and be a better person. Do sweet things for Shizuku instead of standing out because you are insane.

Hey. Stop beating people up and your life will be better. Amazing I know.
I thought the random back story scenes with Haru and his brother were....well random. I guess it was to paint a sad scene so when Shizuku walked up all would be better. But it is hard to feel bad for Haru because he has done this to himself. He wasn't bullied in school for his hair or being poor or anything like that. He was a violent kid and all of his problems come from himself. So no tears for him.

Maybe if they didn't talk anymore things would go better?
The scene with Haru and Shizuku was almost cute. Him being sad (due to his own fault) and him being excited to see Shizuku was nice. Only in true Haru/Shizuku fashion it was ruined 5 seconds later. He has been holding himself back folks. He wants credit for not messing up a classroom. Give this boy a medal. Of course Shizuku isn't earning many points for her confessing to Haru many times, taking it back, and then....not really going out with him. She is right, they are a hot mess.

Poor Asako. Always trying so hard.
The episode ends with Asako looking up at the battle gaming building. She is the one who really seems sad and thoughtful and genuine all the time. Of course her heart is going to get broken and Souhei will win by default. X____X High school kids are messed up. Or at least everyone Shizuku knows is. Is it really that hard to study AND have a social life kid? Much to do about nothing indeed.
