Starry Sky Episodes 9 and 10

Hello folks. It is another exciting “episode” of Starry Sky. Amazing. You will be floored at the ground breaking excellence in this episode.

Photobucket

Laugh it up you boring people. You is about to be dropped.

Of course I am lying. And with that said this will probably be my last post about this series. Because it is boring, not what I was promised, and instead of 12 guys going after a girl I see 1 guy professing his love for the girl and the other 11 hooking up with each other.

But no one was watching this anyway right? XD Spoilers for lame.

Photobucket

You've been watching me in secrecy?!?! If that wasn't so hot I would be scared for my life!

Episode Summary: Kazuki is sitting down at a tea ceremony where Homura is the one making the tea. It is declared delicious and Kazuki starts talking about how he is nervous to do tea ceremony again. But he made this special room in the student council room just so Homura could make tea. Because making a CLUB for tea ceremony would be silly. Oushiro (that creepy red haired guy with the braids) comes in and they start talking about tea. Homura keeps talking about how they are so immature but they are still friends because of what they did for him two years ago. Homura lost a meet for the archery club and he was all sad face. Kazuki shows up and says he spies on Homura when he practices alone and that he is much better, that he shoots for himself. So Kazuki suggest Homura stops trying to win for the team and draw his bow…for Kazuki. Then Oushiro shows up and wants to take pictures of Homura. Homura laughs that these two stalkers have taken interest him and a friendship is born! So this is why they are all sitting around shooting the breeze in the student council room.

Photobucket

Well....I also watched you from the showers....

Then Kazuki asks how Tsukiko is doing in the archery club. Homura thinks back to when she first joined. She tried too hard and he worried about her. He gave her the same speech that Kazuki gave him when they first met. Tsukiko has much more on her plate as she is the ONLY GIRL IN THE FRIGGIN SCHOOL but takes Homura at his stupid boy word and things get better. Then general chaos happens as Tsubasa tries to set the room on fire and Oushiro declares Kazuki and Homura mommy and daddy of the group with Tsukiko as one of the kids. Real romantic there. Homura then leads his people to the archery club where he leads them with confidence. THE END!

Like……seriously what is this series? Besides crap of course.

Tsukiko didn’t even appear in the first part of the “episode”. How can this be a romance show when the romantic interest is not even PRESENT?!?!?! I don’t even understand folks.

Photobucket

He made this room out of his love for you. BE APPRECIATING!

Also they spent at least half of the episode on the tea ceremony stuff and really Homura is into archery. That is the key point to his inner TURMOIL! Not sitting around in the student council room flirting with your boyfriend Kazuki. So thanks for wasting that much time on stuff that is not important. Which…is the main point of this show I think. XD

Photobucket

Well at least he didn't turn to drugs and end up fighting a war against God.

But Homare’s issue is that when he was a freshmen he lost the archery meet for the school. Which I think is weird. Are freshmen even allowed to participate in meets? I guess they have to get experience somehow. But it wasn’t like he was an experience senior who had won countless meets before and him losing it for everyone was shocking. He was the new kid with little experience under his belt. HE shouldn’t have had that much pressure on him anyways.

Photobucket

Please tell me more on how to fix my problems as the only female in this school. TELL ME MORE MALE CHILD!

But he needed to have some drama and there it was folks. Now where this anime fails (again) is that it wasn’t Kazuki that gave Homura the strength to keep trying in life. It was Tsukiko. Which makes sense because this anime is about HER and one of the guys. So that is the reason he falls in love with Tsukiko. Not that we would know that from the show. Had to find it from an outside source. Way to go anime.

Photobucket

So...yeah. So romantic people. Homura is your...mom?

Also from an outside source we learn that Homura is really in love with Tsukiko and shows it. Like Yoh only slightly tuned down. But all we saw in this episode was Homura referring to her and the others as his cherished juniors. Real love there folks when everyone is referred to as the same.

Photobucket

I wish my best friend would say stuff like that to me.

So the real meat of the episode was Homura’s relationship with Kazuki. As shallow as the interactions were. If I was Kazuki I would not be Homura’s friend. Like thanks for spending half the episode saying I am immature and blah blah. Who wants to hear that all the time?

Photobucket

And that would be your cue to run Homura.

Of course……maybe….if I was Homura and my first interaction with Kazuki was him telling me I had beautiful movements and he had been watching me in secret…I might have run away from him. I wouldn’t be like OH HI let me keep on being an archer just for you and your equally creepy friend. So while Homura is a bit harsh with Kazuki Kazuki comes off as a creepy stalker.

Photobucket

Standing attention as Tenchi gives them a fond farewell.

So there we are folks. A pretty boring episode with the guy barely spending time with the girl and a dramatic look at how teenagers take one not so great moment in their life and turn it into a tragedy that plagues them forever. But I am out folks. Not really wanting to blog more of this train wreck, especially when there are teachers on the horizon. Peace out.

Starry Sky "Episodes" 7 and 8: BRING ON THE SUCK

My

Head

Hurts

So

Bad.

Photobucket

Does his head hurt too?

Oh but it has nothing to do with Starry Sky episodes 7 and 8. Which suck. XD But if you want a review of the awfulness beware of spoilers. There might be a FOURTH emo guy crying all over the place. Bet you didn’t see that coming.

Photobucket

CUE THE SAD MUSIC!!!!

Episode Summary: So like the character Kazuki can see the future. His powers started when he was young but he didn’t know how to use them. His parents were killed in an accident and Kazuki blames himself. To deal with the pain of being an orphan and having lame ass powers Kazuki gets in fights. Tsukiko stops one of the fights and that is how they become friends. But something HAPPENS and Kazuki stops being friends with her. But in high school Kazuki gets a vision of him running the student council and having friends. So he recruits the people he saw including Tsukiko. He goes out of his way to protect people from what he sees in visions. This upsets his friend Homare who flicks him in the head. The student council decides to patrol the school and Kazuki has a vision of glass breaking. He protects his people and this leads to him getting a tiny cut on his hand. But people freak out, some random dude appears, and Kazuki learns that his powers don’t always suck and taking care of himself will make others happy too. THE END!

This show is a piece of shit.

Photobucket

We suck that bad?

I can’t remember the last time I said that about a show. I mean…I had fun mocking Vampire Knights. I truly did. And the hot guys were fun to look at because they weren’t having emo attacks every other scene. And I guess if I really don’t like a show I drop it. Like that show about soda can girls? But yeah. This show is a giant piece of shit.

Photobucket

WHY DO ALL THESE BOYS LIKE HER?!?!?!

I knew the character development was going to be poor when only ONE EPISODE was devoted to each character. I knew it was going to be worse than Amagami SS. But I guess I didn’t know how bad it was going to be. I thought maybe if the boys were changing each week at least Tsukiko would show growth and development right? Wrong folks.

Photobucket

WTF HAPPENED?!?!?!?

But this time people things don’t even make sense. Like okay Kazuki can see the future. But why did he feel forced to leave Tsukiko behind? What happened that day that made him stop being friends with her? I mean I am not even going to touch how he MADE HER FORGET or how overdramatic the entire issue was. I just wanted to know what happened. I even looked on MyAnimeList to see if they had details (as they have most of the info on the characters NOT SHOWN IN THE EPISODES) but no go folks.

Photobucket

Who the hell are you?!?!

And why is that creepy looking red headed guy hanging around? Like wtf was all that about?! Oh hi I know your secret but I won’t reveal why. And really it adds NOTHING to the show as Kazuki’s power is never explained. He was just….random. Had he given us insight to the future seeing ability his appearance would make sense. But since he didn’t he was useless.

Photobucket

Even Kazuki is aware of his emo talks...

Nothing gets done in any of these episodes because they repeat the same shit over and over again. Okay Kazuki. Hating your power makes it detestable. Asking over and over again why you have this power does NOTHING. We get a whole 22 minutes per person and about 11 of them are spent crying and whining over the same issue over and over again.

Photobucket

Why not...take him to the clinic?

Also if I could see the damn future I would protect my friends AND MYSELF! Like hello I am not going to throw myself on a grenade for you but I will throw that sucker out of the way!!! So Kazuki stop being so overdramatic in SAVING your friends. Push them out of the way. Because it shouldn’t take you 18 years to realize that when you get hurt protecting people that will make those people feel guilty and sad.

And really I am to believe this school never had a student council before? REALLY!? I has my learnings okay. Anime has shown me student councils are very important to school life so really how can this be happenings? And really a freshmen was allowed to run the school and no one opposed him? I BELIEVE THIS!!!!

Photobucket

WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!

The only thing I guess I liked about this episode is it showed why Kazuki picked the student council members. Makes him look like less of a stalker (like red headed weird dude). Although I think it is weird that he essentially forced friendships but you know. At least he was willing to have forced friendships okay.

I just don’t know folks. Each week is the same. Useless information. Emo talk taking up most of the screen time. The romance is not present at all. And it seems the show is nothing like the game. There is no resolution so what is the point?

No idea folks. Are cute boys worth this kind of torture?

Starry Sky "Episodes" 5 and 6: Bored out of my skull

Um…I am trying to think of something funny to say to open up this post. But all I can think about is this new rude co-worker of mine. I thought we were cool but he did something so rude to me tonight my mind is full of revenge. Like I TRY to help someone out and I get yelled at? Oh no. No no Tenchi don’t play that. Prepare to suffer my wrath.

And by wrath I mean the silent treatment, not helping him find any addresses, and not helping him with the dishes. Because really that is all I can do. But I shall do so spectacularly.

Photobucket

Are we ready to sparkle?

Oh and it is time for Starry Sky “episodes” 5 and 6. I am sure people are really waiting for this. Spoilers for being super bored.

Photobucket

Maybe if I focus less on what is being said and only look at the cute boys this show will suck less?

Episode Summary-Nursery school Kanata is listening to Tsukiko read a book about how the stars became to be. Suzuya is there too. Some kids want Tsukiko to go outside and play but she decides to stay inside. Suzuya is touched they will stay inside for him since he has a weak body. He cries. Elementary school Kanata has to stay home from a field trip because he has a weak body. He wonders how long his life will be. But Suzuya and Tsukiko bring him a pinecone and rock and all is right in the world. Junior High Kanata is getting in a fight with another Hot Dude from this school. After losing Hot Dude offers to teach Kanata how to fight. Kanata then gets in fights all the time. Even though he has a weak body he likes to fight to feel alive. Obviously Tsukiko and Suzuya worry for Kanata. Kanata doesn’t seem to be content with his life despite Suzuya making them lunch XO On the first day of high school Tsukiko gets lost because she is dumb. Hot Dude finds her and Kanata and Suzuya promise to watch over her at school. But Tsukiko starts acting all sad and moopy. The boys don’t know what the heck is wrong with her but think she is overworking herself. Kanata catches Tsukiko crying after school and silently sits with her on a bench. He also covers for her when she shows up to school with red eyes. Then Yoh is transferred to their school and the two boys get along splendidly. Kanata accepts that their threesomes is now a foursome and buys more lube. Kanata thinks to himself about how short his life might be but dedicates what time he has to making his friends happy. THE END!!!

So like…..is this show really a show and not some nightmare I have dreamed up in my head? Because honestly I thought I could dream up more interesting crap than this. Maybe I am losing my touch.

Photobucket

This anime should be retitled Boys with Issues.

Again people I question this being marketed as a harem full of hot guys trying to win the girl. Because I am not seeing much girl winning going on. I see some guy flirting and I SEE a girl. But I don’t see how the girl is the main issue. Especially in this episode. And with less yaoi in this episode I was yawning up a storm.

Photobucket

Okay this scene was actually cute.

Kanata was sick for the first part of the episode. Like stuck in bed complaining that he has a weak body. Now I really didn’t think much of it as anime characters often suffer from weak bodies. I didn’t think OH CRAP things are serious. But according to Wiki Kanata really does have a terminal illness and doesn’t suffer from the cry babies. That would be nice to know IN THE SHOW. Like for real people this is like drinking water down soda. Can I get the real back story? Oh wait we can’t cover that much information in only 22 minutes.

Photobucket

God was chillin with all the animals and humans until the humans decided that God sucked and eated the animals. Perfect children's book!!!

I have absolutely no idea why that stupid story was important. I do understand that Suzuya and Tsukiko are reading books because Kanata can’t go outside. But that book was boring and sad and stupid. I was hoping the guys would have more of a reason to attend Stars and Sky School but obviously not folks. Obviously not. You read a book about stars when you are 5 and that is a solid reason to attend a private school.

Photobucket

We shouldn't be fighting at all!!!

I was almost feeling Kanata when he said he got in fights to feel alive. That made sense to me. Boys often get into stupid fights just to feel the rush. And if Kanata is feeling like crap all the time that rush might be all he has. But then Wiki tells me he gets in fights to protect Tsukiko. Oh. Okay. Because people are lining up to beat her up. I see it.

Photobucket

This is the most romantic Kanata and Tsukiko moment in the entire episode. Enjoy.

So the first part of the episode was devoted to Kanata crying because he is a sick child and that his shooting star is going to go out soon. And the only reason Kanata has held on this long is because of his friends. Not because of Tsukiko but because of his TWO friends. Where is the romance people?

Photobucket

Behold the worryworts.

Well not in the second part of the episode. No it is Tsukiko crying all over the damn place and Suzuya and Kanata worrying over her. We never learn why Tsukiko is crying. I think she has a case of the cry babies or something. I mean…it is probably not easy being the only girl in school. But we saw no evidence of her being bullied or anything. And since the student council looked like FUN last time I doubt it is stress.

Photobucket

Very concerned people. Very.

Whatever the case is Kanata was shown looking concern for her. But it never crossed into the I LOVE HER realm. Also the friends are important to me realm it stayed. I think Suzuya and Kanata spent more time wondering about Tsukiko than actually trying to help her.

Photobucket

I can clearly see the three guys in this picture. Not the girl. HMM PEOPLE!!!

The only damn thing I found interesting in this episode was it actually overlapped with Yoh’s. So does that mean every single story is happening at the same time? That is this is not an Amagami arc of the week type deal? Because….then things are only going to get worse. We are going to get NO resolution at all. And really what is the point if no one snags the love interest? None at all people. None at all.

Also there is way too much talking going on. How about I see how you are feeling and the closeness of your group instead of you telling me about it. Talk about week.

Next week…um I wasn’t paying attention. Also he looked like Kanata so I got confused.

Starry Sky episode 4: Bring on the yaoi!!!

I went to work today and I didn’t injury myself to the extent I can no longer move something. That means it was a successful day. But of course since I am so klutzy I slammed my thumb into something and smashed my elbow into another thing. I am becoming the source of much entertainment at work.

Photobucket

And I am scared of this whole show. X__X

And then I came home and there was not much entertainment. Only two “episodes” of Starry Sky. Which is really one episode so that is really negative entertainment. Just woohoo folks. WOOHOO!

Spoilers for…..boy on boy action? XD

Photobucket

This is me trying to ask out your 8 year old self.

Episode Summary BECAUSE IT IS ONLY ONE EPISODE: When Tsubasa was younger he lived with his grandfather. And all the other adults around him hated him for no damn reason. He makes inventions and entertains himself that way. While playing with a new invention Azusa (possibly his cousin as he refers to grandfather too) says he is unique, likes his weird laugh, and tells him his inventions are cool. Fast forward to sometime later and he is enrolled to Starry Sky for Hot Boys. There he reunites with his boyfri….cousin Azusa. He is spied on by memories of the student council and during opening ceremonies he is chosen to be the treasurer. He tries to dodge his responsibilities but it dragged by the president Kazuki. He is introduced to Hayato and Tsukiko who are also student council members. After spazzing a little Tsbuasa grows to love the student council. However one day his tea invention blows up causing Hayato to ban him from making stuff in the student council room. This causes Tsubasa to be a depressed emo kid who doesn’t make inventions ANYWHERE.

Photobucket

HI! I am still here for you emo boy! Pay attention to me!

Azusa tries to come and cheer him up but Tsubasa is too deep in his emo to care. Hayato, Tsukiko, and Kazuki talk suspiciously about the funds and how they are going to do something BIG for him. Tsubasa walks in and they all panic. They tell him that they can’t meet for student council for a week because of a really stupid lie. This is followed up by whispering in front of Tsubasa and making him feel bad. Tsubasa keeps having his emo attack and things only gets worse when he catches the trio leaving the student council room. He runs away and cries emo tears in the dark. Only Kazuki tracks him down and takes him back to the student council room. They have made Tsubasa a ….chemistry lab? So he can build his inventions and not kill anyone. AW Tsubasa is so happy now. Only he is worried about being happy because the good times will come to an end. But this time he will allow himself to be happy and enjoy the moment. THE END!!!!

Photobucket

Having a romantic moment!!!

I had a commentator ask if we were going to get a decent yaoi anime in 2011. Well readers….here it is!!! An anime based on an otome game is our yaoi for the year! Woohoo folks. We got a boy love game totally destroyed in 2010 so they decided to make it up to us by forgetting about the girl and focusing on the sparkly boys in the otome based anime.

And I am being totally serious folks. Really when I am not serious….XD Okay so part of me is serious and part of me is snarking. But tell me folks. Tell me what part of this episode Tsukiko and Tsubasa had a moment. Tell me what part of the episode Tsukiko was vitally important to Tsubasa’s happiness. Tell me that if Tsukiko wasn’t there the outcome would have been totally different.

Photobucket

Sparkle sparkle.

You can’t. But you can tell me how Tsubasa was blushing all over Azusa. You can tell me that Kazuki was deeply sad about Tsubasa being all mopping. And you can also tell me Kazuki made it possible that Tsubasa got his…laboratory. So yes folks. Yaoi anime indeed.

Photobucket

SHHHH! Things don't have to make sense!

Also it is becoming crystal clear to me this anime sucks. XD Oh I am in a good mood today. But yes I learned all about Tsubasa via NO THE SHOW. Like I wanted to know why all those adults were so cruel to Tsubasa. Was the grandfather really a grandfather or an older man that took in a stranger’s kid? And why hadn’t Azusa seen Tsubasa in a while? And why is Tsubasa at this school when clearly he likes inventing stuff better?

None of these questions are answered. All the adults just came across as assholes. Which they still are even when you do know who they are. But Tsubasa’s parents got divorced and left him with his grandfather. And the adults think he is weird because he makes stuff. Because they are assholes. Azusa hasn’t seen Tsubasa in a while because grandma sent him off to this school. And grandma sent Tsubasa to this school because she knew he was interested in the stars.

Photobucket

We don't need no stinkin answers!

See how much sense this is making now? Also factor in the game obviously goes into way more detail on why Tsubasa is afraid of being happy and things make SENSE. So let me ask a question….why bother making an anime if they were only going to make one episode per guy, give us barely any details on why they are important, and making the romance factor nonexistent? Like really folks why?

Photobucket

I am going to keep mentioning your laugh but it means nothing. NOTHING!

Something that was really special about this ARC was Tsubasa’s laugh. I thought that the other kids in school were going to tease him about it and Azusa went out of his way to mention it. So I thought that is why Tsukiko was going to be special to him, because she thought his laugh was cute. But nothing came of the laugh at all. So it was really just a waste of time. Or a way that Azusa was trying to hit on Tsubasa. I guess I will go with that.

Photobucket

And you are an asshole. It was just a little explosion.

But I guess I like that Tsubasa was happy making inventions. Even if it was the annoying oh they always blow up kind of inventions. It is just nice to know that the show won’t all be about the stars and such. Come to think of it that didn’t come up at all during this episode did it?

Photobucket

I'm not lying about the sparkles!!

And yes I enjoyed the sparkly almost yaoi moments. I am team Azusa and Tsubasa though. Even if Kazuki made him a laboratory Azusa had a past with him. Azusa just needs to get a better hair cut because dude that would look horrible on a girl.

Photobucket

Everyone watching this show was lied to. We feel your pain.

But Tsubasa was cute. That is all that matters right?

Photobucket

Someone needs a hug! But not from me, I has boobies.

Oh and I do relate to Tsubasa in the not wanting to be happy in the now. Like you look forward to something but before you know it the time is over and all is in the past. So him not wanting to be happy now because it might end one day makes sense. Even though he went about it in an emo way I can understand what he goes through. I get excited about things but then the day before the event I am sad before I know it will end soon and it hasn’t even started. So I got your back on that one Tsubasa.

Photobucket

This show is smooth, like this scene.

I wasn’t even paying attention to what guy has his turn next week. All I know is we aren’t going to see much of Tsukiko and he will probably be closer with someone else. A male someone else. Sparkle on.

Starry Sky episode 2: Oh it's a yaoi show!!

Photobucket

Harem anime indeed.

XO So much got accomplished today! I scrapbooked like 15 pages (only 20 more to go because I am that insane), went to the bank, got my late Christmas present, and had a nice evening with my husband. So since I was in such a good mood I decided to see if Starry Sky improved from like..two days ago.

I will let you figure out if it did or not.

Spoilers for the shortest episode of your life.

Photobucket

So very, very close after a month.

Episode Summary: It has been a month since Yoh has come to school to find his first star of the night. He continues to tell Tsukiko that all he needs is her and she continues to stare at him blankly. Kanata is not liking the flirting and is constantly glaring at Yoh and trying to steal food. Suzuya tries to make everyone happy by cooking food for everyone. He is referred to as mom. Yoh has like 8 minutes of dialogue about how Tsukiko is his first star, how he is running out of time, and how he loves her. Then he is seen sparkling all over the place with Suzuya who is sparkling back with him. The group becomes concerned when Yoh is sad later, thinking back to the conversation with his dad. His time is almost up and he has made no progress. But Suzuya and Kanata brighten up his day and Tsukiko gets a cheek kiss from Yoh because everything will work out. THE END!

So it is too early to pick my top failures of 2011?

Also WOOHOO I didn’t know I was watching a yaoi people. It like snuck up on me and yelled SURPRISE!!!!

Photobucket

That's it folks. The whole romance in this one screenie. Enjoy.

But seriously folks….this makes Amagami SS look like deep meaningful relationships. I mean maybe each guy will get one episode for 12 episodes and then it will repeat with them all getting the girl. But since the episodes are 11 minutes each and are considered TWO episodes that would mean this series would have to be “48” episodes long and I really don’t see that happening.

Photobucket

Thanks mom!!!

So this is probably it folks. Yoh’s arc. Aren’t you amazed? Because I know I am.
This “episode” spends most of its precious minutes showing how adjusted Yoh has become to this school since he arrived a month ago. He has bonded with his classmates and Tsukiko. And when I mean bonding I mean the characters telling us how close they are. Because nothing convinces me people really care about each other when they repeat their closeness over and over again. Not through actions no no. It’s like when people tell others how cool they are. Mhm there.

Photobucket

See how Tsukiko is front and center? Yeppers...

And instead of showing us how close Tsukiko and Yoh had gotten a lot of the SPARKLES were focused on Kanata and Yoh chasing each other around and stealing food from each other. Oh and Suzuya making all the food. Because nothing says harem anime when all the boys like each other and the girl is lalalaing in the corner.

Photobucket

Oh I thought you loved my bodyguards...

The moments that focused on Tsukiko and Yoh felt forced. She wasn’t on screen as much as the boys and when she was she would say things like “Oh we are all friends” or “Aren’t those two boys close?”. So she is either very dense not to notice Yoh’s advances or she is like HAHA there is a creepy stalker dude and I will ignore his creepiness.

Photobucket

Sounds like Yoh has even given up.

But whatever it was if I were Yoh I would be sad that my first star was basically treating me like a friend. Which is what she should do because who wants to date ANYONE after meeting them a month ago. But this ARC didn’t feel very satisfying since nothing got resolved.

Photobucket

Um we already saw this part people!!!!

And why the hell did they waste so much time repeating the whole little kid conversation again? We got 11 minutes and they waste like 3 on that crap? I really don’t understand what is going on here folks.

So…yeah. Everyone is friends, Yoh didn’t get the girl, and I think Kanata was only pretending to be mad at Yoh’s advances because he himself was in love with Yoh. This show is off to an AWESOME start.

Despite the fact that this is a hot mess I will probably still blog it. Only I will blog the “arcs” together and not this 11 minute crap. Because really…just really.
