Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko episode 12 FINAL EPISODE!

I had a super, super lazy day today. A good portion of it was caught up in the drama of THE TRIAL and some of it was just wasting time on a particular website. I hate it when my days off are wasted. But was it really wasted? I spent one day at a theme park and another day walking around a city dodging tourists. Maybe sometimes days off should be spent doing nothing. XD

Erio is pitching...this will end well.

But woohoo! I have caught up with all my spring anime shows now. GO ME. At least something got done today yes?

Spoilers for the shortest blog post ever!



Episode Summary: The baseball game of the year is set to start. Ryuko is there to cheer Makoto on but when Maekawa’s dad (the pitcher) runs away things look bad. Meme shows up to lead the team to victory and puts Erio in charge of pitching. Makoto is sent to find the runaway dad. Erio is a decent pitcher as she has no idea what she is doing and no one can predict her moves. Makoto finally finds the dad whom was just worried about the pressure of the game. Makoto explains he has worries about life, as does everyone else, and they all should just try their best. Makoto makes it back to the game when it is one of those two on base, two players out deal. Makoto talks himself up and seems to hit a good ball. But it is going to be caught and he deems himself a failure. Yashiro then LOOKS at the ball and it goes into the river (where Makoto and Erio were at the beginning of the episode). Their team wins and everyone is all smiles. THE END!

So……this show sucked right? Or maybe I suck for not understanding the deeper meaning of everything. In any case NOT AMUSED.

And no one notices the crazy girl in the costume...because there is already one of the field!

No aliens. Unless that small act by Yashiro was proof of aliens. Even then I am not impressed. The entire premise of this show was a girl talking about being abducted by aliens or being an alien. Her mother tried to play up the alien angle by acting like the father of Erio was somehow magical/alienish too. And given the fact that the “normal” people in town believed in aliens I thought HAHA maybe we see some aliens.

And even if the alien angle was never taken serious……what about Erio? She did disappear for 6 months. One can explain her bizarre behavior after the fact as some defensive wall she put up because of her real fears and suchies. But no one wanted to find out what happened to her? Why she had no memories? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ERIO?!

Oh and the series was also about Makoto giving people bike rides. Even very unimportant people who took up screen time in the last episode.

And in the end that is why I hate this series. A girl who wraps herself around in a futon…maybe not the product of aliens but surely someone who has an interesting story to tell. Instead we just got rude comments about Erio from other people. We got Meme who is more concerned about grandmother dying for 27 years that her own daughter. And then we get Makoto who is more concerned about youth points than making sure his cousin made it back into society.

Oh and the baseball game. Can’t forget about the baseball game. Thought that was going to lead to an interesting story about old town verses new city but nope. NOPE NOPE NOPE!

A baseball outfit at a baseball is weird....but we got a fish girl, a mattress girl, and a guy who wears a cow tag on his head on the field. OKAY!

So in conclusion this show was nothing like how it was portrayed as in the synopsis. Sometimes that turns out to be a good surprise but in this case it was just a disappointment. This show was not about aliens, helping Erio get her memories back, or explaining why people were so weird. Instead it was about people being weird.

Makoto is the boy of miracles? XD Is that why his bike nearly killed him and Erio?

Which would have been fine had I been expecting that. But since I was expecting aliens, a confused memory-less girl, and maybe a lot of supernatural things it wasn’t fine. Animes about self discovery and how everyone has weird/troublesome stuff in their lives are great but only if they are marketed that way. This show was good for sparkles and cute girls acting cute. That is about it. THE END!

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko episode 11

AHHHHH! How is already July 5th? I thought I had plenty of time to catch up on my spring anime before the summer anime started. Obviously I was wrong and underestimated my desire to have a social life and work all the time. Silly is me.

But with only 2 episodes left I am nearly there. Wish me luck and hopefully I won’t become this behind again. Although I had a blast during the process of getting behind…….XD

Clearly the aliens are a lie.

Spoilers for no aliens once again. Shocking I know.

At least Erio is trying to follow her dreams? Of course they are crazy dreams...

Episode Summary: Makoto starts off the episode by explaining how he used to be on a soccer team but sucked and never got to play. His parents came to cheer him on but he quit without ever getting his uniform dirty. He thinks about this while Erio watches the stars all excited like. The next day he is bored with nothing to do so he goes out seeking food. On the way he sees Maekawa and she invites him over for some noms. After trying some lame doughnut joke Maekawa sets to work on making lunch. Out in the garden Makoto has plans to calculate his youth points. Instead he sees Yashiro trying to steal food from the garden. Makoto is like you are a freak but goes inside to get her a tomato to eat. Because the ones in the garden weren’t good enough or something. Yashiro rewards him with hp points but refuses to go back home. Back inside lunch is served and Maekawa blushes as Makoto says her food is good. Afterwards she invites him to play video games and he sucks at them. She comments that he is good at giving up in situations and she used to think that way too. That she has given up on her height and instead of sitting back and watching life she is going to try harder to be involved. Makoto talks about how he doesn’t want to be called transfer student anymore but Maekawa is like too bad. Then Makoto suggest next time they invite Ryuko and Erio over. Maekawa is like is you dumb?

Someone needs attention?

At home Makoto talks to Ryuko about attending her practice match tomorrow. Things get playful but Erio comes in demanding attention. Ryuko gets jealous and Erio is like let’s go see the stars!!! The next day Makoto goes to the basketball court. Ryuko is happy he is there even though she is teased by her teammates. Yashiro is there for some reason and Makoto sits next to her. Two people from the random baseball teams (not the school ones, the festival ones) come sit next to Makoto and say Ryuko has no chance. Ryuko proves that as she messed up all over the place. Yashiro explains that Ryuko has some of the greatest ESP potential inside of her and Makoto needs to nourish that. So Makoto gets up and cheers Ryuko on with a very embarrassing speech. She smiles and scores two points.

MOG too gross for words!!

This episode was really all over the place. Really the entire series has been all over the place. It’s like trying to watch Nancy Grace make a point. I just wonder how this is all going to be tied into one last episode (well and that 13th episodes that comes out on DVD).

Makoto is a little skanky. I was going to say lazy but I guess I would like to spend all day sleeping the summer away too. That or doing as much as possible. So I will go with skanky instead. A stupid skank.

But most boys in harem animes are stupid skanks so that is not saying much. And in terms of harem this is a rather small one. But I do think Makoto is way caught up in all the attention he is receiving yet is not good at thinking how this affects every single girl.

How did you not punch him in the face?

It is obvious in the way he tries to include all the girls in every single activity. Maekawa invited Makoto over for a little home date. She didn’t use those words but it is implied. So after spending the day with Makoto, making him lunch, and blushing all over the place Makoto is like OH maybe next time we can invite my cousin and Ryuko over. Because that is what all girls want to hear. They want to hear the boy they like suggest bringing over more girls. Sounds so romantic yes?

Should have tried harder homeslice.

But since it is Maekawa I don’t feel as bad as I would for someone else. Because this is episode 11 folks. A bit late in the game to try and win the boy’s heart yes? Unless her plan of attack was to fly under the radar the entire time and then swoop in when Erio and Ryuko turned out to be crazy people. Her sitting in the wings did not work for her. I did appreciate her wearing normal clothes today and her attempt to make a normal meal for Makoto. But she was on the outside looking in for far too long so I think she is stuck in weird friend category.

However…. Maekawa acknowledged she was done watching. She knows that is what she has done her entire life. Not sure why now she needs to bring up her height when that has not been an issue the entire series. Or maybe that is why she wears the crazy costumes, to hide her height? But putting that aside I guess her little speech ties in with Makoto always sitting on the sidelines, not trying his hardest. I don’t know, she made a good point about trying harder but I think it is a little too late for that.

Yashiro showing up and eating tomatoes was super weird. Not sure why she is crawling all over the place looking for food. I would steal from a store before I broke into how many houses before I stumbled on food. Also who the hell just eats a tomatoes? Like they would an apple?! Gross! Gross I say. And not because I hate tomatoes either!

Probably the only game I am good at. XD

Also I love Mario Kart. And Makoto sucking so hard at the game really hurt my soul.

I find Makoto’s phone calls with Ryuko awkward and weird. But when you might like someone and that someone likes you back I guess it can’t be anything but awkward and weird. Ryuko being jealous of Erio being in the same room as Makoto is a bit weird. He lives in the same house as her. Only be jealous if they are in the same bathroom together. XD

Well except the part where she sparkled. People sparkle when they reach happiness in this show.

The basketball game was really embarrassing to watch. I thought maybe Ryuko had been improving the past few days. That her little talks on the phone with Makoto were real, that she was going to get a chance to play and shine. But then it was just a hot mess and I almost had to pause the episode because I couldn’t handle the second hand embarrassment.

So many words for a simple explanation.

Even though Yashiro makes no sense at all with the running away and claiming to be an alien I try to look passed that. That the ESP wasn’t really ESP but something that makes more sense. That while Ryuko wasn’t the best on the team she was trying harder. That hearing words of encouragement from the boy she liked would give her confidence. So is that what this show is all about? Ordinary events in high school? That teenagers can’t handle normal explanations so they need to make up stories so they can better understand them? I have no idea at this point.

The boy that confessed to Ryuko and the baseball girl being there added nothing. I guess it looked better for more people to be sitting next to Makoto so Ryuko wouldn’t be jealous of Yashiro? I don’t know. They didn’t add much to the discussion, only to say Ryuko never had a chance.

Riding along in a sea of confusion...

In conclusion I wrote this why watching “the verdict of the century” and thus my total focus has not been on this blog post. Sorry if things don’t make sense. But then again maybe my post matches the theme of the show? One more episode left!

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko episode 10

I would really love it if customers stopped complaining about me. Really I would. One would think if people are complaining about me I am the one at fault. Well when they complain about the fact that THEY MADE ME CRY I think not. Or they complain about the fact that the store ran out of Pepsi and I apologized. Or when they say I was rude to them WHEN I WAS IN JAPAN. Yeah things like that piss me off.

XD But since I have cake I will be okay. The great thing about being an adult is you can eat cake for lunch. Cake shall wash away this batch of crazy customers and prepare me for more. Please decent customers come and buy our pizza. Outnumber the crazy!

Welcoming a new crazy face into their lives. XD

Speaking of crazy….WOOHOO! I am caught up with Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko! One step closer to getting all the way caught up with the Spring 2011 anime season so I can get ready for the summer one. XD Spoilers for more little girls thinking they are aliens.

More creeped out that people are referring to Erio as a THAT!

Episode Summary: Spacesuit girl recovers from her injuries and life on the baseball field goes on with everyone ignoring the fact she claimed to be an esper. The pitcher for the other team explains the girl is relative of another teammate but she ran away from home. Makoto admits that Erio is his cousin and is given looks. After losing another game Makoto helps clean up the field and ignores the fact that Maekawa is dressed up as the scariest alien EVER! Before Makoto can accidentally flirt with Maekawa she points out that Erio is being tortured by spacesuit girl. Spacesuit girl claims that Erio is an alien just like her and she needs to talk to her. Makoto is like um you said you were an esper and stop trying to talk like an alien. Erio is happy that Makoto protected her and vows to depend more on Makoto in the future. Makoto asks Ryuko if he can go watch her practice but is turned down (gently) when Ryuko learns Erio would come too. Later that night Makoto looks at the stars with Erio as she tries to say his name instead of cousin. Spacesuit girl shows up and tries to take Erio hostage again. Only Erio puts on her mattress and flattens the girl. Her helmet comes off and she is revealed to be an Elliot look alike. She introduces herself as Yashiro and that she is an alien esper.

Strike a pose Ms. Alien lady.

Makoto takes Erio inside and locks the door from the newest weirdo. Then Ryuko calls and it is 19 kinds of awkward on the phone. She wants him to come to her game and cheer her on but she is afraid she will suck. Makoto is all WOOHOO girls. Ryuko invites him to a festival (if she does well in the game) and explains the rivalry between the different sides of town stems from who hosts the festival. The next morning Makoto wakes up to find Meme taking Yashiro under her wing, mainly because she reminds her of Elliot. Makoto is like yay…Yashiro has given up on convincing Erio she is an alien and wishes for Makoto to take her somewhere. After dropping Erio off at work Yashiro explains that no one can see the aliens because they don’t believe in them. She later forces Makoto to stop at a pool so she can jump in it. Somehow a waterfall falls on Makoto’s head and he is like X__X aliens? He joins her for a swim and later leaves her near the pool as she does not want to go home. Makoto picks up Erio from work where he promises to take her to the pool one day. THE END!

I think that scientists should come in and study this town. Because obviously there are way too many crazy people in such a small place to be a coincidence. Something is in the water or something. Or the unlikely theory that there really are aliens all over the place and people are subconsciously aware of them.

And no one thought to question what she was wearing....

Space suit girl turns out to be related to someone on the team. If I was paying more attention I would know who. But I guess she ran away from home or something? But if she is right there playing baseball they know where she is so what is the problem? Whatever the case may be Yashiro is not Meme dressing up trying to convince Erio of aliens and she is not Ryuko trying to work the cute weird girl angle. Yashiro is Yashiro.

Take me to your leader! Or to the pool.

Yashiro is a bit deeper into the alien belief than Erio was. Maybe she has been delusional longer and did not have a Makoto to throw her into the ocean. That and Erio did start off pretty strong what with her backstory and all. Still Yashiro tries to take it one step further with being an esper and trying to talk a little bit different. So I guess she is crazier.

Don't humans wear the space suits...?

The fact that Meme accepts her into the circle of “family” means she is not to be trusted. Or she is to be trusted completely. Yashiro does look a lot like Elliot so maybe Erio has a half-sister. XD That or she just looks like Elliot with the sparkling hair and all. Typically when I find little girls hiding in my house (which has never happened but pretending it did) I do not serve them breakfast and give them clothes. I tend to call the police and make sure they get home safely. I do not aid in the continuing runaway process.

AN ACTUAL ALIEN?!?!?!

I think it is strange on some level everyone in this town believes in aliens and what not but only a few people are considered too weird to associate with. Granny was always talking about cattle mutilation but that was okay, people still shopped there. Maekawa dresses up weirder than Erio ever did but people still support her and are friends with her. Yet Erio was hated from the start. If everyone in town is crazy how do they pick the people to shun?

Well maybe Erio was hated on way before the whole alien thing because she was pretty and the girls were jealous. That very well could be it. Maybe Erio tried to commit suicide and ended up in the sea? It would be nice if the show focused more on that whole oh I was gone for 6 months aspect of the story.

Can't you sense the love?

Yashiro seems to be more interested in Makoto now instead of Erio. Which makes sense as this is a show about Makoto building a harem yes? Oh what aliens? I do think Yashiro should have tried harder to get Erio back on the alien side. Which would be sad as Makoto has made such progress with her. But if there really is an alien plot thing going on in this town I would like to see some conviction in people instead of giver uppers. Probably a sign that there are no aliens though.

Alien proof?

I thought the pool jumping thing was a big source of youth points and Makoto didn’t even mention it! I am on the fence on whether or not that was proof Yashiro is an alien though. We didn’t see what happened and it can be easily explained as something else so who knows. But yay youth points! Pools are meant to be jumped in.

I like that Erio wasn’t a jealous freak like some characters in this show when Makoto spent time with another girl. Instead she just made the obvious comment that she likes the pool better than the ocean and asks Makoto to take her to one someday. See Erio is a normal little freak. XD

Not sexy. Embarrassing.

Oh do I have to talk about Ryuko? Do I? I love her little lie she sent to Makoto. They get along splendid indeed. To anyone who doesn’t have eyes in any event. The entire phone conversation with Makoto and Ryuko was too awkward for me. I was getting second hand embarrassment. I was getting a gay vibe from Makoto too which is weird since he was 10 seconds away from masturbating over the fact he was talking to a girl. Just weird.

Is it too late for things to get real?

Oh and the festival. Can’t forget about the festival. The rivalry between the towns in a little more obvious now and makes the baseball game less friendly than was painted last week. One wonders why can’t they just share every other year to host the festival? Because that would make sense and it is better to have conflict? Whatever the case I think this will cause Makoto to try harder at the baseball thing. Also if this is really what the alien stuff is all about it is truly subtle.

It is almost time for work. Then I get to experience the outcome of my stupid decision. Hopefully my furniture and sanity will survive. XD If not….well time for me to learn to be patient?

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko episode 9

I am like one of the stupidest people in the world. I am. Like I have no idea why I put myself in such stupid situations. But I guess at this point I win the sister of the year award? Or the evilest if I end up stealing what I say I will watch. XD

But still stupid. Not as stupid as my husband who should have known better and said NO to me but still dumb. We make a good pair yes?

Wish I could rewind the clock 2 hours...

In other news I am still watching this crazy show. Probably just to say AHA I caught up with everything look at me. Or maybe because I am stupid I don’t know. Spoilers for sports EWWW!

How many youth points is receive food from a girl?

Episode Summary: Summer vacation is about to start and Ryuko is excited. But not excited enough to forget she wants to have Makoto all to herself. She exchanges phone numbers with him in hopes of texting him all the time. The sparkle moment is slightly ruined by Maekawa also exchanging numbers with Makoto. On the way home Ryuko gets renewed spirits when she invites Makoto to her basketball games (wtf kind of summer break is this?!) and he says yes. On the way home Meme says some gross things to her nephew. Maekawa calls and asks Makoto to play baseball with her. When asked Maekawa said she didn’t mention this in school because she didn’t want to hurt Ryuko. Makoto says yes because she is a girl. Makoto goes outside where Erio is playing around with her telescope. Makoto agrees to spend time with Erio and said telescope when he gets bored and Erio sparkles a little. The next day Makoto goes to play baseball and Maekawa wears a fish costume. The girl pitching for the other team seems to have problems keeping her arms above her head too but Maekawa doesn’t claim her as a relative.

And then Ryuko looked five.

Stalker dude is there and asks if Meme has mentioned him yet. That would be a no. A member from the other teams tells Makoto that there are two different sides of town with two different views on life that may lead to conflict. Thus they play baseball to make things happy. After the game the pitcher girl hangs out with Makoto and Maekawa and says stupid things like are you a couple? Makoto arrives home and agrees to space watch with Erio that night. Meme says something perverted and life goes on. Erio wears her mattress again but this time part of the reason was to keep the bugs away. But then they look at the moon and have a good time and sparkle. Erio then asks to play baseball with Makoto. Makoto takes that as a good sign and thankfully the group agrees to let Erio play. Ryuko shows up as she was going to practice on the other side of the field. She is jealous and has a little pout. Oh and there is a random person in a space suit. After Ryuko runs away the game proceeds and Erio accidentally knocks out the person wearing the space suit. Only when the person wakes up they talk like an alien and claims to be esper. Oh okay. THE END!

Put on your blinders! The sparkles are coming to get us!

Can someone please explain the sparkly hair thing to me? Does it mean anything at all or is it just there to throw me off? I do tend to become obsessed with tiny details that later mean nothing. But there is sparkly shiny hair all over the place so I assumed it meant something other than the fact the artists of this show went overboard with the glitter. Did Kesha help in this anime?

Obviously someone else loves sports too.

I don’t like sports. But like with Clannad I was able to tolerate a small amount of outside….fun if you will. But nothing will top that baseball moment. Ah memories…

I think the most interesting thing about this episode was people’s dependence on cellphones and the importance of those tiny devices. I am guilty of texting a lot but probably not as much as the average teenager. And from my short time in Japan the average Japanese people could out text any American teenager. So yes. It interests me that people are so attached to those little phones now.

Plus texting is just better. Like you just want to say one thing to someone and you aren’t obligated to stay on the line and make small talk. My mother doesn’t understand this, that it makes life more impersonal. To me it makes it easier to be personal. Stick with your checkbook mom.

Ryuko sending annoying text messages? NEVER!

Ryuko is still annoying to me and I have not forgiven her for not wanting to defend Erio. But she is pretty adorable when she makes the stupid faces. And I can see her shy little face when asking Makoto to watch her play basketball. I wonder if she is any good. But she does need to ease Makoto into the world of texting. Boys might not be used to the random nonsense messages.

It is hard to understand Maekawa. Mainly because she is insane.

I am not sure why Maekawa invited Makoto to play baseball. Is this her way of flirting with Makoto and to do so in a place that Ryuko couldn’t interrupt? Does she want him to become closer with the town? Or is there no reason and she just needed another player? Whatever the reason I thought Maekawa was actually going to be a player but haha what was I thinking?! Fish girl woohoo!

Finally doing alien stuff. XD

Erio and her little dance outside was weird. Maybe she was trying to summon aliens or something. But I am surprised that it took the show this long to make Erio use a telescope. Or if she has been using one taken this long to show it to us and Makoto. But you better join her Makoto!!!

This comment was more interesting than the entire Ryuko drama. Enjoy.

Ryuko showing up and the random encounter with the rival baseball boy was weird. Poor Makoto, I think I hear your youth points dropping. A girl in your love harem might have another love interest. HOW DARE SHE!

This will make sense later yes?

I am sure the rival dude had a good reason in mentioning the whole old town/new city rivalry thing. A very good reason. Surely it is not a smoke screen for something else. Maybe the old town has all the nutbags that believe in aliens and the new town is like…um those are actually shiny lights from our buildings? But that theory is out as both girls seem to live in the city part.

How can you say no to this sparkling face?

Erio wanting to play baseball was…a big step. Throw off the futon and set into the real world. Maybe baby steps next time okay? However I am glad the team was nice to her and didn’t just shove her to the side. There were whispers and giggles but she was allowed to play and have fun. Thanks for giving the mattress girl a chance ya’ll.

Just when I have given up hope about aliens we are thrown another curve ball. Of course this curve ball is probably just Meme in a suit trying to show Erio there are real aliens or something. Of course that would really take her 10 steps back in her progress….In any event I don’t think it is a real alien and it is someone trying to be “nice” to Erio and give her hope.

Sorry. Not an alien. ESPER!!!

And if it is aliens….IT IS ABOUT TIME! We are going to be 10 episodes into this series and I have yet to see any proof of aliens. Well besides the fact that everyone in town is insane and that might be a side effect of anal probing or something.

On that note (not the anal probing note) why are we so into this series and we have yet to see anyone help Erio regain her memories? I mean didn’t she create this alien situation in her head to help deal with the gaps in her memories? Why isn’t that being discussed more? X__X

I see that Meme is rubbing off on her...

Will we find out in episode 10 or will it just be more insanity? Hopefully Maekawa will at least have silly costume….at the very least at this point.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko episode 8

I made cookies and didn’t burn them! I am so proud of myself. And by made I mean I took them out of the package and plopped them on the tray. Go me! I am a woman of the ages. XD

What else can I say that can top that? Cookies, not burnt, my tummy is happy. We shall ignore work and the fact that my husband can’t think because the smoke is giving him a headache. No no folks…cookies.

Yes. Whatever that means.

Oh and Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko. That crazy show. Spoilers for the worst mystery ever?

It is contagious!!!!

Episode Summary: Time wise this episode starts the day Meme turns 40. She dances around in a mattress and generally feels bad for herself. Erio wishes her a good day and off Meme goes. She trusts Makoto to help Erio in the social aspect in life and she will go get Erio a job. First she stops by HER job…which is the restaurant Maekawa works out. But then she goes to the snack shop to visit her actual grandmother, the old lady. Meme makes small talk and wants to take care of the old lady. But grandma is talking about how the cattle mutilation is coming soon for her. Meme promises to blow them out of the sky. Then changes the subject to asking if Erio can work there. The next order of business is to a make a plastic rocket to give to the random man in town. Only he is not a stranger. He actually went to school with Meme and he is in love with her. She can’t remember his name but that’s okay with him. When he came back to town he saw Meme and decided to win her over. Only he heard that her daughter believes in aliens so he decides to make bottle rockets to lure her in. Only he got confused because Maekawa wears strange outfits too. But now Meme wants him (as she never gets his name right) to launch all the rockets on a certain date.

Are we there yet?!

Stalker dude then proposes to Meme. She turns him down gently and he asks what happened to Elliot. She says he isn’t here and if she didn’t marry him she won’t marry anyone. There is a flashback of tiny Meme in the snack shop with granny and Elliot. Granny was talking about how the cattle mutilation was coming soon for her and Meme was desperate to stop it. Elliot suggests knocking out the aliens to save granny and Meme believed his sparkly words. Then it is the whole seeing Ryuko in the rain, asking Maekawa to ask the others to make the bottle rockets, ect happens. She goes to see granny who is still talking about cattle mutilation. I think this show hates me. And everyone else who is watching it. Unless you somehow were satisfied with this episode. Then I guess the show likes you.

Do you see this sad scene? I was expecting something big folks.

I thought Meme was planning something truly amazing the entire episode. That she was going to kill the aliens from taking Elliot away from her or something. To save her daughter from being taken by the aliens. Or maybe to save the cattle from being mutilated.

There are no aliens. Join in the disappointment Granny.

But at this point everyone in town is the crazy alien. And there are no aliens. Do you see my crazy face right now?

Meme has been spending a good chunk of her life trying to keep her old grandmother alive. That is the entire plot of this episode and what Meme has been doing with all the secrets. Trying to keep the inevitable from happening. But instead of calling it death everyone in this stupid town thinks it is aliens taking you away or something. Cattle mutilation is the code word for death because death is too scary to say.

Disappointment on my face. Also trying to figure out why MTV keeps allowing CT to keep coming back to challenges and am wondering why they paired him up with the person he nearly killed. JUST WONDERING. Maybe crazy is contagious.

This plan took 28 years and hinged on some dude she forgot about moving back to town. OKAY!

Meme is a complete failure. She really spent all that time with her life trying to find ways to put life back into Grandma? Before two months ago she had no other plan? Like…I have no words for the amount of fail she is experiencing. But considering that Grandma looked about 99 years old in the flashback maybe it has worked before and Grandma is really 120.

I am not sure what stalker boy’s name is at this point and since he isn’t Elliot I really don’t care. XD But I do think his life is kinda sad and pathetic that he would ask someone to marry them after 20 plus years of not seeing them. Rumor has it that Meme is a crazy person so maybe you might want to consider that proposal.

However…maybe he is a nice person. I mean I guess if he wanted to get the girl he wanted to win over the daughter first. And since many men out there don’t care to get to a kid and rather focus on just doing mom he stands out in a crowd of jerks. I love men XD. And instead of being put off by Erio’s….reputation he embraced it and made bottle rockets to the aliens. And if that didn’t work he decided to bribe the daughter (well the girl he thought was the daughter). How perfect could this guy get?

Now since I think there are no aliens in this show at all one must assume all the sparkly hair is just when people seem to reach a moment of happiness in their lives. Or maybe everyone in Erio’s family has sparkly hair. But in any event I no longer believe Elliot is/was an alien.

I am however interested in what happened to Elliot. Meme was turning down stalker man and mentioned that she didn’t need a husband to be happy. She implied that if she didn’t marry Elliot she wouldn’t marry some random dude. So perhaps she did care about Elliot but something got in the way? At first I thought it was the whole he is an alien reason but now it seems it is going to be something like….she was too much of a free spirit. I mean it can’t be that he believed too much in aliens as she is still following his logic from years ago.

Maybe he died? That she got so upset she decided to never lose anyone again and devoted her life to helping granny? Which makes all the stuff she “said” to her grandfather not make sense as she is trying to prove what a strong person she still is. I don’t know at this point. At this rate it is going to turn out that Erio wasn’t really lost for 6 months but really in a coma because of some nonalien related accident.

But….even if the idea was stupid I guess going all out for your grandmother is kinda sweet. Attack those little aliens so grandma doesn’t die.

I am still disappointed though. It was like Harper’s Island all over again only this time my hopes and dreams were crushed in one episode instead of 12. All this plotting and mystery over silly bottle rockets for grandma. Look at me being all cynical and such.
