New Anime Series maybe...: Hyouka episode 1

Hello my lovely readers! Are you having a good day? If you live in the United States you probably had a rather cold day. Here in Florida the average temperature has been 75 degrees or higher for the last two months or so. But today it was about 62 degrees. What is up with that?! Oh and I hear that half of New England is under snow. So cold indeed. Craziness, it is time for flowers not SNOW. Or weather where I have to wear a light jacket.

Biggest spoiler ever! I am awful XD

In an effort to try and stop the crazy spacer monster you only get two paragraphs. XD But in an effort to watch 3829483 shows this season I decided to give Hyouka a chance..even though they are debut late into the season. Shame on them. But yes episode 1. Spoilers for people being more boring than me!!  

Episode Summary: Sakura blossoms are blooming and falling on the heads of new high school students. Upper class men are excitedly handing out flyers for their clubs while new students happily take them and look happy to be alive. All except one student who slips quietly passed the crowds. He explains that he, Houtarou has certain life mottoes that he lives by and one of the most important ones is not doing unnecessary things and to do necessary things with as little energy as possible. Satoshi, his friend, basically chimes in and says yeah you are real boring. Satoshi doesn’t know how Houtarou can live like that, especially in an amazing high school with tons of clubs. Despite not wanting to do anything…..Houtarou has to join the Classic Club as his sister in India (wtf all these family members being in India?!) commands him to or the club will be disbanded. Houtarou seems bleh about it perks up when he realizes he will be the only member in a far off corner of the school. Only when he gets there a very PERKY girl named Eru is there and is excited to see Houtarou. Houtarou tries to leave as this girl can be in the member the Classic Club needs. Eru won’t state her reason for joining this club and isn’t about ready to let Houtarou walk out.

So....what does he do?

Then there is a five minute conversation about how the club door was not locked when Eru walked in but was locked when Houtarou having the key. Satoshi was spying behind the door listening to this amazing conversation. Houtarou tries to leave again but Eru NEEDS to know why the door was locked. Houtarou has an acid trip on Eru asking him for help so he eventually does. After some AMAZING turn of events it turns out the maintenance worker is behind the whole locked door deal. Eru declares the whole thing amazing and Satoshi wants to join the Classic Club now too. Houtarou ends up giving Eru his club form after another acid trip but probably regrets that. The next day Satoshi is keeping Houtarou company as the latter has to redo his homework forgotten at home. Satoshi tells Houtarou a crazy story about a music club ghost. Houtarou reacts weird when he finds out that Eru’s class was talking about this rumor.

When Eru makes her way to his classroom Houtarou makes Satoshi tell her the rumor about the secret club of the school. Golden Web has never been found out and often have sneaky flyers somewhere on the school boards. Eru decides that they NEED to find out this mystery and Houtarou agrees. He automatically goes to the most popular billboard, stating it is easier to hide a poster among all the other ones. While Eru and Satoshi search Houtarou finds it hidden under another flyer. Eru considers this day a success and they all make their way home. Satoshi smirks, saying that Houtarou set this whole thing up to give Eru another mystery. Houtarou claims he didn’t want to walk all the way over to the music club for THAT mystery so he made up this one. Satoshi is like okay Mr. Low Energy. Satoshi just thinks that Houtarou can’t resist Eru and Houtarou remains silent. Good bye boring days. THE END! HMMM. I am not sure how I feel about this. Not sure how I feel at all. And since I only tuned in because this company churns out shows that I enjoy….well actually I am not sure where I was going with that sentence. Just that I normally would have not have checked out this show and because a certain company was behind it I tuned in. Which should mean my expectations were either low because the synopsis didn’t interest me enough or they were high because I like this company.

So pretty....for like 10 days. :(

I love sakura blossoms. So basically I am like everyone else in the world yes? This has nothing to do with the show. Or very little since the sakura blossoms were falling/blooming for the beginning of school year. So clever of Japan. Yes going back to school sucks but lets make it near sakura blossom season so we can tie in rebirth, the brief moment of youth, and fleeting beauty. So while it might SEEM like a cliché, to have anime start off with new characters walking under the cherry blossoms, it makes sense. Because we can’t start off an anime show in the middle of the year now can we? Of course not! How are people supposed to meet for the first time and join clubs? No no it has to be the first week of school or everything in the anime world will fall apart. And I like sakura blossoms.

I am sensing a party pooper!

Okay onto the show! Houtarou…I guess it would be way too easy to compare him to Kyon. But I think that Houtarou is even “worse” than Kyon. Like Kyon came across pretty lazy and as a person who just wanted to blah his way through like. Like Tomoya. HMMM I am sensing a pattern. But I think Houtarou puts both those boys to shame. He is consciously trying to conserve energy, thinking of ways to make his life easier. A new level of lazy I think. Of course maybe this is a gimmick, to show how SAD and PATHETIC the main characters are for not embracing their fleeting youth and what not. That being said I still think Houtarou takes it a wee bit too far. I can see not wanting to join a club or being gunho about school but you got to be excited about something. Converse your energy for the fun stuff, not to just store it in.

Say it a million more times Satoshi!

I think half of Satoshi’s (the second banana) lines were dedicated to saying all that stuff about Houtarou, that he is conversing energy and what not. I get it, the first episode and all, we got to get to know the characters. But do we have to drill home their character traits. Can we not see them over time? But I guess if Houtarou is going to change after meeting Eru we need an explanation on how he was before so we can go GASP at his transformation. Just that Satoshi was laying it on a little thick and I have no idea who he is as a character.

Oh snap there goes a mystery!

Eru is special. Also I think I hate her hair. I was going to say she looked like the baddie from The Ring but that might touch too much on the mystery in the music room. But her hair is unfortunate. Maybe she can wear it up a lot or something. But okay Eru is special. Not quite sure how the rich family thing is going to play in but this is no Mugi. I don’t even think we have a Yui at this point. She is like my cat! That is it! So starved for attention, like no one has ever talked to her. She just instantly clings to you it makes you feel smothered but at the same time she is so cute (well at least my cat is) you can’t turn her away. Cute girls always get their way, these are true facts.

Can I at least know what the club is about? Classic books? Paintings? Poems? What?!

Eru might have a good reason for joining the Classic Club. But at this point I don’t know what that reason is or what the heck the Classic Club even is about. All of that doesn’t matter. All that people could focus on is the fact that Eru is the either the most boring person in the world or finds the most boring things amazing! I guess as long as she doesn’t start singing about cracks in the sidewalk and how her dad is the best dad ever I will survive.

But hot damn folks. Hot damn. She gets locked in a room and she wouldn’t let it go. I mean it would have been horrible had she been locked in there and Houtarou didn’t slunk on by. But he did and she was set free. And yet like 10 minutes of this episode (okay it wasn’t that bad but still) was dedicated to a locked door. A LOCKED DOOR FOLKS! I mean throw in a chocolate dessert and what side you it out of for some change of scenery. I wanted to fast forward through all that stuff but then everyone acted like Houtarou was a genius. I needed to watch to make sure I wasn’t missing the genius.

Maybe if you tried to finish your homework faster rather than planting a fake story you could have missed Eru all together?

Then there was ANOTHER mystery. A mystery that Houtarou helped make up for some reason. Well we know he made it up because he likes Eru but is unable to process such an emotion at this time. Instead he pretends like making up this mystery was all a part of his plan to leave school early. Because that makes sense, stopping the homework process to create a little mystery for Eru because the music room was so far away.

Although I do want to know what this mysterious club does....

But back to the mystery. MOG THIS SCHOOL IS BORING! I know most schools in anime have some 7 mysteries going on but this is too boring for words. I am talking about the music room one, not the secret club one. Which I guess was sorta interesting. Maybe a club worth joining or at least finding out about until you realize the members are insane and creepy. But I think it was a stretch for Houtarou to hide it under the other flyers. It is hard to marvel at his amazing smartness when he planned the whole thing.

Tired student=room full of ghosts!

I am slowly thinking that my post is making no sense. The mysteries were super boring. Or the deduction behind them were. Like OH SNAP someone with the only other key locked the doors you are a GENIUS! Look I found the secret club form on the wall AFTER I put it there. WOOHOO! But maybe what was sad was Eru thought this was all amazing. Or maybe none of this is happening at all because Houtarou is really trippin on acid. I have extremely long hair and I hope no one has visions of me turning into some tentacle hair monster that fills the room up with flowers and sparkles.

Love at first sight is scary. As long as there is no ballet Apocalypse it will be okay though.

Okay I know the sparkles, flowers, and the crazy hair is just Houtarou thinking Eru is cute and that he likes her but he can’t accept that as part of his conserving energy routine. It still freaks me out though.

These posters are pretty cool though. Gotta stand out.

Is that it for this episode? I feel as if I went on and on. In conclusion the mysteries were really….lame. But then again not everyone can be a magical 15 year old. Some kids have to be normal and face….normal mysteries that need to be solved right now or the hair will take over the world! Maybe the real reason why Eru joined the club or why Houtarou joined the club will be more interesting. Or maybe it is better not focus on doing mysteries and having crazy fun instead. Or have the reactions to the mysteries be less intense. Maybe I am just in a weird mood. In any event I will watch episode 2 so I can have a better feel for this show.

OH! I did like it when Houtarou and Satoshi were walking home. I liked the umbrella usage and the look of their town. I like Japan apparently. In case that was obvious. Or at least I like it enough to want to take trips there and pretend everyday would be amazing there. XD

Fate/Zero episode 3: Welcome to Insanity!

Hello my lovely readers! Still haven’t figured out how to fix the huge gap that will appear at the end of the post. :( Coding is not my thing. Hopefully it won’t be too difficult to navigate. Who knows, maybe it is just me who finds it gross and ugly. X__X When in doubt just click the title of the post and POOF the rest will appear.

In other amazing news I bought my first pair of capris pants. X__X Yes slowly I am turning into a girl. Why surely by the age of 35 I will discover make-up! XD Go me…now wearing them is a different story…

Now that I have bored you with amazing details of my life…anime time! Fate/Zero episode 3! Or as I like to say Welcome to Insanity episode. Spoiler for everyone losing their damn minds.

Talking just leads to people dying. XD So everyone be quiet!

Episode Summary: Kayneth and his barely moving self have made it to the church. He plans on having a conversation with Risei. Whoever killed Caster Monster would get an extra command seal and seeing how Kayneth currently has none he is really invested in receiving one. Risei has his doubts as if Kayneth even qualifies as a Master. Kayneth downplays Sola’s involvement and says that Lancer really saved the day by removing Saber’s curse. Risei finally agrees and gives Kayneth the extra seal. Kayneth is so grateful he shoots Risei dead, so no one else can ever receive an extra seal. But maybe Kayneth should have been focused on Sola. She was watching the battle of Caster Monster verses everyone else being crazy. Just as Caster Monster is killed Maiya runs up to Sola and cuts off her Seal arm. Sola loses her damn mind screaming about how she has no Lancer and her life is over. Maiya is like oh okay and drags Sola away. Kirei and his confused self has taken Kariya back to his home, as if that will help him. Then Kirei acts like he is being tortured with the invention of emotions and what not. Kayneth is not taking the news of Sola being kidnapped very well. Lancer apologizes but says since Sola was not really his Master he cannot detect her presence. Kayneth then proceeds to belittle and hurt Lancer at his core, taking direct hits at his pride. Lancer is stunned and looks like a kid whose puppy got run over by a car. But before Kayneth can totally kill Lancer he (Lancer) senses a Servant approaching.

NOOO! Lancer!!!

Enter Irisviel and Saber. Lancer smirks, saying this isn’t a good time for a fight as everyone is exhausted. Saber says that is the perfect time to fight, that they can battle one on one with equal strength. Lancer perks up at the word honor and it is fighting time. Saber pretends like her arm is still cursed so the fight can be fair. They battle on with Kayneth and Irisviel watching. Suddenly Emiya appears in front of Kayneth holding Sola and her stump. Emiya gives Kayneth a contract to read over. Basically it says that Kayneth will bow out of the Holy Grail War and in exchange Emiya will never kill him or Sola. Kayneth looks on at the fight, knowing that his family’s pride is on the line and all that he has worked on will be lost. But Sola isn’t looking too good and Kayneth agrees to the contract. Suddenly Saber is covered in blood because Kayneth has ordered Lancer to kill himself. In shock Lancer looks around and misunderstands the situation. He starts to curse everyone for stealing everything from him, especially Saber as he dies. Kayneth is relieved that it is all over. Emiya agrees and Maiya shoots Kayneth and Sola. Saber finishes off the suffering Kayneth and calls Emiya the worse person ever. Emiya and Saber take turns shooting down each other's ideals. Finally Emiya says that there is NO honor on the battlefield and to stop all the pain and misery he will commit horrible crimes to save the world. Saber realizes that Emiya is a broken hero and that he is going down a dangerous road. Emiya leaves and Irisviel passes out. THE END! My mind is blown into tiny little pieces that will surly scatter all over the universe. If found please return to sender. There was so much crammed into this episode I think I am going to have a hard time blogging it all. Everyone but Waver was having a crazy attack today. So while Rider and Waver were napping after a hard fought battle everyone else was like UM NO still time for crazy.

Everyone is in the twilight zone. The only explanation here.

First off X___X in what universe did Kayneth beat Caster? The same universe in which my brain has scattered to? Because um no folks. Lancer did break his little weapon that allowed Saber to kill Caster but that doesn’t mean Lancer is responsible for the victory. Of course in the end it doesn’t matter but the Church really dropped the ball on this one. Especially since Kayneth wasn’t the current Master of Lancer…technically. Oh and Kayneth couldn’t use magic, had limited mobility, and had a rouge sidekick to deal with. Like yes here have a second chance to mess things up.

Clearly Saber is the winner. But saying that will get you shot too. So does it matter at this point? XD

Risei Kotomine…your son is crazy. XD And you allied yourself with a person who gives away his own kids to crazy people because otherwise they would be HUMAN. And this war is questionable to say the least. So…it is kinda hard for me to feel bad for you when you is a rule breaking crazy person yourself. That being said…DAMN. Here I am listing reasons why Kayneth doesn’t deserve to be a Master and he takes you out. That makes you worse doesn’t it? But Kayneth had a really good plan. Hopefully the church had a back-up plan. And maybe next time people won’t under estimate people who just got their magical circuits blown up, stuck in a wheelchair, tortured by their lover, and stuck with one of the hottest Servants ever. Clearly desperation works for Kayneth.

I'm FEELING!

So while Risei was bleeding to death in the church Kirei is running around rescuing people. And Kirei has NO IDEA why he feels bad for Kariya or is closer to understanding Kariya’s motive. Kirei was raised without hugs or Sesame Street in his life. I mean…I don’t want another crazy Caster in this show but Kirei not understanding basic human emotions is a bit monstrous. The fact that Kirei hasn’t betrayed Tokiomi yet makes me wonder about him as well. On a side note Risei and Kirei….really?! REALLY?! Makes my eyes bleed.

One should never be that far away from their own body parts.

Oh did I forget about Sola? Why yes I did. On the special $389,000 Blu-ray disc there is a scene where Lancer and Sola are talking before he goes down to the battle and…sits. Sola was to stay on the roof tops and watch in safe location. I thought that was a bad idea to begin with. We got Irisviel who can’t even lift a stick and Waver standing on the sidelines. They didn’t know where Ryuu was and Saber and Rider were out fighting. So wouldn’t the safest place for Sola be by Lancers side? Granted maybe the others didn’t know Sola had taken over as Master and they were trying to keep it a secret. Still maybe…maybe next time watch the battle and HIDE? Just saying.

Note that she is screaming for her hand so she can be with Lancer. Not that she actually wanted her hand back.

But damn people. DAMN! Sola gets her hand cut off and she is screaming about LANCER! I need my Lancer. I need my hand so I can be close to Lancer! Like I understand she was under Lancer’s spell but damn. She wasn’t crying because she was in pain, that she was going to spend the rest of her life with just one hand, or that she basically might have lost the War. No no it is all about Lancer. Lancer needs to wear a bag on his or something. Also Maiya is pretty hard core. So is that hand that just clung to the gate after the fact. That was the gangsta hand.

This is not going to end well for you Lancer. :( Sorry.

Kayneth was clearly pissed about what happened to Sola. I am thinking he really blamed himself deep down but took it out on Lancer. I guess the entire thing shocked me or something. Even before Sola went insane and started breaking fingers and flirting with Lancer I didn’t sense much love between the two. Maybe Kayneth was already pissed because he thought Sola was falling under Lancer’s spell. Either way I wasn’t expecting Kayneth to be so openly upset about what happened to Sola, because of Lancer and because of Emiya. It just shocked me I guess, how much he loves that woman and how he was willing to give up his family’s honor, given how much crap he gave Waver. Shocked folks, shocked that someone actually LOVES a human being in this show. XD

MOG THAT FACE :( Saddest moment of the year, I am calling it now.

But hot DAMN! Why didn’t he just cut off Lancer’s face or something. It was like he was twisting a knife into the man’s heart and pouring salt into it AND setting him on fire. Like wtf, we get it, you are mad. But maybe if you weren’t out scheming and getting more commands for yourself you and your….gun…could have protected Sola. I am not saying violence is the answer, certainly not, but I think Lancer would have wanted that form of “punishment” rather than the harsh words coming from Kayneth. And what was the point anyway? Kayneth needed Lancer to fight in the War and find his wife. Maybe saying the most insulting things in the world could wait? Just saying. I don’t know how Lancer was able to function after that, especially battle Saber. Just…he needed a hug. :( Hugs for the hottie.

But yes Saber and her insane self decide that this is the right moment to attack Lancer. I guess her logic (or Emiya’s) makes sense. The odds of another Servant coming and ganging up on Saber (or Lancer) were pretty low. They could get their fair fight without anyone saying HAHA I want in too. Now…I guess it was fairer on Lancer’s half? He just lost a weapon. He didn’t fight a Caster Monster or use the best spell ever. Saber was probably really tired. And then she decided to pretend like her hand was still injured, as Lancer put himself at a disadvantage by making sure hundreds of people weren’t destroyed.

Let me kill the one with the most honor first. Because alliances have no honor!!!

So putting aside that I thought it was way too soon for this fight (Hottie Lancer :( ) I guess it was going to happen eventually. That it was going to be sad no matter what. Lancer and Saber were the noble ones, the ones who wanted to have honor in their death matches and what not. So while it would have been better if someone else killed Lancer (because really Saber isn’t dying any time soon) in their hearts this is what they wanted. So I guess it has to be okay? Well at least it was okay for 5 minutes.

Oh snap someone had a duel Master idea too. I've been had!

Then Emiya is like BAM sign my contract or else! I really wasn’t expecting that to happen. But really that is how it is supposed to be, a good show is supposed to keep you on your toes and what not. You aren’t supposed to guess what is coming next. But Emiya is like oh hi I heard you screaming at your Servant so I have a contract for you to sign. All you have to do is kill your Servant, lose all pride as a Mage, and hope that I don’t have a partner who is going to shoot in 832974 times in the chest. Emiya is amazingly good at this game. Mainly because he is thinking like a n assassin and not a mage.

And then Lancer turned into a demon.

:( Poor Lancer. I mean…somewhere in my stupid head I thought Emiya was making Kayneth give HIM Lancer. But duh that can’t happen right? Instead Emiya got rid of both the Master and the Servant at the same time without making Saber do any of the dirty work. Which breaks Saber’s heart (but really does she want Lancer’s blood on her hands?!) and causes Lancer to lose his mind. For good reason. It was a Romeo and Juliet moment too. A PLAGUE ON BOTH YOUR HOUSES!!! :( I had hoped that Lancer would look over to Saber’s startled face and realize she had nothing to do with it. But he didn’t and blamed her as well. I mean he was “dying” at the time so him thinking unclearly makes sense. Just it was SO HEARTBREAKING I wanted him to have one moment. Caster got a damn moment! Lancer had his pride taken away, didn’t die in battle, and had his Master call him a loser. How much worse could it get for this guy?

Episode of tragedy!

And then Kayneth and Sola got shot 4932483 times folks. Kayneth was like you can’t hurt me now right and BAM. Emiya didn’t even bat an eye. Kayneth was definitely not on his A game. Emiya could have killed them in a number of ways without being the one to pull the trigger and what not. But did he really have a choice? Either way he was going to die. I guess I thought his car was going to blow up or something. I didn’t think it would happen right there.

Me thinks that Saber is going to be mad at Emiya a lot in the near future.

Saber and Emiya….I don’t know. I thought maybe Irisviel might have shown SOME emotion. But we shall put that aside for now. HOT DAMN! Saber was like you suck and Emiya is like well you aren’t any better. Emiya made some really good points which Saber probably didn’t register. As “noble” as Saber, Rider, and Lancer want to pretend to be they did kill a lot of people. Even the battle with Lancer and Saber, had Emiya not gotten involved, would have caused one of their “deaths”. I mean when you are going to kill someone or have the intent of them dying and you living does it matter if you battle them with a sword or a gun? So Emiya made good points…as he just got done killing 3 people.

Wait Emiya might be in pain? An almost hero who has gone insane and decided to save the world by killing a few people? Crazy pants.

Saber was sorta wishy washy. I wish she had picked a position and stayed with it. That Emiya sucks for killing Lancer and taking away his honor. We all know this Holy Grail War has nothing to do with honor and really only three mage families know what is going on. But still Saber doesn’t know it and should have been pissed. She was listening to Emiya though, instead of interrupting him like I would have been. But then suddenly she feels sorry for Emiya and states that he can only talk like this because he is a fallen hero. Really I am mad at Saber for listening to Emiya’s point of view and trying to relate to him. Silly me, she should just stay mad. XD

Why did it have to end this way?!

So in conclusion Kirei saved someone, Kayneth offed Kirei’s Daddy, Emiya offed Kayneth and Sola, and Lancer offed himself. The war better end soon because Irisviel and her “fake human” self are going to get offed by…well time I guess. :( But most importantly this show has lost a hottie. Poor Tenchi is super sad now. Oh and everyone is insane.

Shining Hearts: Shiawase no Pan episode 2

Hello my lovely readers! Blogger has gone through some changes/updates and everyone knows how much I love change. XD Or not, especially when it comes to computer stuff. I am not good with computers at all. A lot of my blogging stuff was done for me by a good friend so I am getting use to everything. X__X Hopefully when this is up and posted the huge space at the bottom won’t be there but I apologize for random missing comments. If they are posted successful and I receive them in my email I will repost them. In other news my job is X___X. Well more like -_____-. Just….so frustrating. I can’t even explain the situation as it makes no sense AT ALL and yet it is still my fault. Must no scream…must not scream.

Beware the horrible storm!!!

So since I was in a super bad mood when I came home I decided to watch Shining Hearts: Shiawase no Pan instead of Fate/Zero. XD Why waste a good show on a grumpy Tenchi? Spoilers for bread AND a storm.

Okay I think I have figured out why there is a HUGE space at the end of the posts. Not sure how I can fix it but apparently putting spaces in between paragraphs and pictures is forcing the read more now button all the way down the page. Will inform the husband of it when he wakes up. :( Not liking this new format, the HTML is hurting my brain.

No they have a picnic in the woods. DUH!

Episode Summary: Airy and her vagina showing dress wakes up Rick way early in the morning. A storm is coming so they need to make extra bread extra early because. BECAUSE folks. For some reason Madera is over at the girls and Rick’s shop instead of hers. It is a super busy morning and the girls and Rick tell all their customers a huge storm is coming. This is news to everyone else as the dark clouds in the sky, the crazy water conditions, and the sign the guards place in town square are silly clues to a horrible storm. Psht clues. Airy and her Band-Aid dress go out to pass out free breads to everyone because money is for greedy people. The other sisters get worried when Airy is late coming home. They worry because a storm is coming so they send Rick after her. Airy was sitting on a bench with a lonely kid. Her mother apparently helps with the orchards and was busy making a clothesline to protect the apples. Mother of the year told her kid to wait outside while she got finished with work. So Airy sat there for a while and handed out free bread. Rick sits and hands out free bread until the mom returns. 

So bakeries are like the national guard? I see.

Rick and Airy return home and clean up for the day. They see the mother run by, probably to take care of the apples, and they all think the little girl has been left home alone. So Airy heads out into the storm to give the little girl a magical charm piece of bread to cheer her up. Then she leaves in the middle of the storm…leaves the girl all alone. Rick wants to go home to his boat but passes out on the couch. The girls talk LOUDLY about Rick and his amazing bread and what not. Then Airy tells the amazing story of the little girl and the neglectful mother. The next day the storm is over and the shop is full of customers thanking the crew about the warnings. But Rick and the girls know where the real thanks belong to. Enter Rick and the sisters going to the woods and handing the elf siblings some bread. It is a magical moment folks. Elsewhere there is an unconscious girl on the beach. THE END!

I have many opinions on this sign. Many opinions.

Last week the word of the day (episode) was bread. This week bread was in second place. No no my friends this week the word was storm. Storm storm storm! Again I would count all the instances of the word of the week but then I would really pass out. I can’t been passed out and running a crazy blog that likes to delete posts and mess with all the spacings right? 

Did people really not know about the storm? REALLY?!

Now….I am not a scientist, an elf from the woods, or a weather blogger (WTF is that sci-fi?) but….yeah. There were dark clouds in the sky, choppy waves on the water, and harsh breezes on land. All signs of a storm. So why are Rick and the girls getting credit for Madera telling them what Alvin indirectly told them? The credit being that they helped so many people out by giving them a warning about the storm. LOOK IN THE SKY! A storm is coming! Did that mean people really need to be told that? Dear lord so much overdramaticness. 

Look at that horrible storm!!! 

Oh and this storm…psht. PSHT I say. It rained pretty bad where I was today. And yet I wouldn’t call my town’s weather that bad. Everyone was freaking out over a bit of heavy rain and some breeze. They were acting like it was nearly the end of the world so I was expecting something else. Something more. Something worth worrying over the safety of apples. But I guess in Happy Go Lucky Kingdom everything works out and even their storms are easy going. So much for people needing extra bread to get through the long days stuck at home. 

Money? We fund our life with smiles and thank yous! 

Which I would have appreciated. XD I mean I hate it when stores profit off of disasters and what not but come on. I thought these girls were going to be trying a little harder to sell extra bread. But I guess that is not what they had in mind. Despite one little joke about ONE girl liking money this group doesn’t seem to want to make any. Just lala oh you are a kid waiting for your mom because she is a neglectful stupid person? Here have THREE free pieces of bread. Thanks elves for the AWESOME warning have some free bread. FREE BREAD FOR EVERYONE! Because in Happy Go Lucky Kingdom everyone loves their job, gives people baskets of free food, and have enough to live off of because everyone is happy and smiling! Surely this economic system makes sense. 

And then she left the kid!!!! 

Airy (look I learned on of their names!)….is 389283 kinds of special. Is the game really like this, a PSA about how everyone should be nice and wonderful to everyone? Yes we get it, you are a fluffy bunny who loves everyone and doesn’t want to make a profit. But maybe next time a huge storm is coming wait with the girl inside her house? Ask her name? Call CPS on the neglectful mother? Yes honey a horrible storm is coming so wait outside for me! Oh and then Airy runs in the rain to give out MORE bread…and runs back home. I see I see. 

Um can I get some sleep here? I worked all day for your crazy girls and now I'm tired. Go talk about your boring stuff somewhere else. 

I think Rick has the worse luck ever. I bet he wishes he got washed up on shore somewhere else. His poor boat is stranded in Happy Go Lucky Kingdom (which no one steals or ransacks when he is at work) and he has to get up in the middle of the night to make bread for free to all the crazy citizens. Then when he is trying to sleep the girls cackle over him and talk loudly about stupid little girls. Like seriously what story did nearly naked Airy have to tell? I saw a girl, gave her bread, and then gave her more bread. SO EXCITING….maybe these people are bored too. 

People like to wash up in this Kingdom don't they? 

Is that all that happened? Really I think I typed 600 words too many for this show. Rick makes good bread, the sisters have super questionable outfits (well at least Airy), and the elves love bread and predicting the weather. Next week…a girl washes up on shore. Maybe she will make bread too.

Accel World Episode 3

FINALLY! Whoever thought that giving us a sneak preview in the form of TWO episodes was on crack. Maybe I was on crack for watching them. XD Because the wait in between those two sneak preview episodes and episode 3 was way too long. Also why is it being subbed and up on FRIDAYS! Worse day ever. Clearly I am full of complains tonight. XD

I believe those are FIGHTING WORDS!

But here we are folks! Finally episode 3 for me to blog and talk about. Spoilers for cables that are too short even for Gameboys!

Yeah shut up Haru! It's not like this song is about you or anything.

Episode Summary: Kuroyuki and Chiyuri are still having their epic stare down which is making Haru comfortable. Kuroyuki pretends to not understand what relationship Chiyuri and Haru have. Chiyuri says that she has known Haru forever and she doesn’t appreciate what Kuroyuki is doing to him. Kuroyuki smirks and says she is Haru’s boyfriend and bids the friend goodbye. Haru thinks his life is over and questions why Kuroyuki did that. She states she has her reasons and leads him to a coffee shop. Over a direct link Kuroyuki explains to Haru what she wants from him. Brain Burst is a game that doesn’t have many high level players. It is difficult to reach even level 5. Once you reach a high enough level you are given a region in the game to run and these top level players, all level 9 Kings, have not changed in quite a while. That is because to reach level 10 one has to beat the other level 9s. After being told of this horrible rule most of the level 9s came to an agreement not to destroy each other as losing just ONE battle in a run for level 10 would cause Brain Burst to delete despite your point level. Kuroyuki explains that she herself is one of the Kings and is currently on the run. She wanted to become level 10 as that person is promised to find out why the program exists and to meet the creator. She instantly killed one of the Kings which pissed off his King girlfriend and the others. As a result Kuroyuki has not logged onto the net in over two years. 

I am calling forth this meeting to hunt you bitches down. That is all.

Despite hiding for such a long time someone at school managed to find Kuroyuki even though she was using her “cute school avatar”. She used several techniques to narrow down the field of who the challenger is as she is afraid they will tell the other Kings and there might be a real life attack. She wants Haru to monitor the next time Kuroyuki is challenged so they can determine for certain who it is. But top on the suspect list is Chiyuri. Haru is shocked but Kuroyuki thinks Chiyuri’s outburst was in part that Chiyuri wanted to recruit Haru into Brain Burst and now she is pissed. Haru promises he will find out the truth but knows that Chiyuri isn’t using that program. Haru leaves all dejected, worried for Chiyuri when he runs into Takumu. He is training for kendo or something and Haru is full of worry. Takumu basically says that Chiyuri is a good girl without knowing why Haru is asking. Haru then goes to visit Chiyuri who is still pissed over Kuroyuki. Haru convinces her to direct link. Chiyuri spends most of the time crying about the space that has grown between them and how they used to be so close. Haru looks for evidence of Brain Burst but is also taken aback by what Chiyuri says. He counters with that things had to change as Chiyuri started dating Takumu. All of this conversation is taking place with Chiyuri on her back and Haru on top of her as they have the shortest cable ever. Finally Haru and Chiyuri seem to cry it out, Chiyuri hurt that Haru doesn’t need her anymore and what not. Haru almost breathes a sigh of relief as he hasn’t found the Brain Burst program…but then he finds a secret back door. THE END! 

Um..isn't that one of the things you can't live without now? Like I wouldn't walk out of the house without my phone now..... 

So was it worth the wait? Lets talk about this episode and find out then. XD 

Stupid hot girl who isn't me! 

Who are we rooting for in this love triangle? Only it isn’t a triangle is it? Chiyuri has a boyfriend, Takumu. Takumu is Haru’s friend so I am sure that puts Haru in a weird position, even if Haru thought he had a chance with Chiyuri. Maybe in Haru’s mind Takumu was the better pick for Chiyuri and that is why he doesn’t have jealous feelings. Yet Chiyuri seems to care somewhat for Haru. Even if it is a on a friend level. 

Um...you have a boyfriend right? 

But it might be hard to cheer on either of the girls if they have ulterior motives. Obviously Chiyuri wasn’t a Brain Burster when she was younger, when she first met Haru. So I am sure she really IS Haru’s friend. Whether or not she is using him or had plans to use him might not even matter. Because if Chiyuri is just settling for Takumu when she really likes Haru…that won’t me want to root for her. I am not saying that a 15 year old girl has to love the same boy for the rest of her life. But if feelings change she needs to end it as to not hurt Takumu. Of course I might be reading WAAAAAAY too much into this and Chiyuri really is just Haru’s friend and all her boo hoo tears were just out of friendship and worry. 

You are going to have to do a lot more than that to help out Kuroyuki!

We know for a fact that Kuroyuki is using Haru. She has been pretty honest in that aspect so far although I am sure Haru would have liked to know ALL THE RULES before agreeing to Brain Burst. I am sure that is what most of the kids think though, that hindsight is 20/20. But Haru is being told most of the drama and rules by episode 3, not 22 episodes later. Haru didn’t do all these battles for nothing only to learn that Kuroyuki is going to stab him in the back and take the crown for herself. So while we might be questioning when Kuroyuki is being genuine and when she is having another motive she has protected Haru so far. Whether or not this will turn into a believable romance has yet to be seen. 

The point of Accel World is to destroy the nerolinkers and make people interact like humans again. Going to declare it now. 

This episode was super informative without being boring. Something that is hard to do. Either the details are vague or things come across as a lecture. But Kuroyuki broke it down in a way that I could follow without my brain exploding yet not making it dumbed down. Of course it is going to take some getting used to, direct linking and mouths not moving. XD 

:( So how are new players supposed to shine? 

To me it does seem weird playing a game without knowing its true purpose. Early speculation theory would be is than an adult is using kids in some way, like harness their brain energy or something, to do something not so innocent. Well that was a vague theory wasn’t it? But with all these perks of doing well on tests and scoring goals in soccer games must come at a price. Nothing can be that magical and perfect. It makes sense logically that only people born with the direct link can access Brain Burst but I think there is more to that. Well and what Kuroyuki said, that kids won’t talk and suchies. I don’t know, I am not basing this theory on much. Just that only 15 year olds and younger using the program sent up a red flag. XD Of course most animes focus on teenagers so…. 

Such weirdness indeed. 

I think there has to be more to Brain Burst than meets the eye simply because of the harsh rules. Most games want people to level as high as possible. The more devoted someone is to a game the more they might spend on game extras. If there is no more challenge to a game what is the point in playing it? If most players don’t reach half of their potential something is weird. Almost like the game is weeding out so so players and focusing on the hard core players. 

Super punished by Kuroyuki of course. 

But then the hard core players are punished too. Granted maybe it was just a way to change things up, to make sure the top people aren’t ruling the game forever. BUT DAMN! If you lose one battle you are gone forever? That is definitely not a way to reward high level players. Maybe this IS to keep the same people in the same position, so no one will even try to be level 10. Because a deep dark secret lurks behind level 10. So if the rules were just oh you lose a battle to another level 9, you just lose points…people might have tried. But now people are too scared to lose Brain Burst as it affects and helps out their real life too. So it could be a number of things. XD Just I wouldn’t be a level 9 at all or for long. 

And what does reaching level 10 have to do with being human? 

Kuroyuki got a little dramatic with her I need to know there is more to this program nonsense. Hopefully she is not hiding MORE from Haru, that there is a certain connection with her and Brain Burst as a whole. Like I hope it is not a “So you are my real father” moment. But Kuroyuki is probably hiding something. Or maybe she wasn’t liking the Career Tribu…I mean Kings reigning over everyone and wanted to be on top. Either way I can see why she wants to at least try but I am not sure how much Haru can really help. Clearly she is not aiming him to be a level 9 too right? That would take way too long and be unbelievable. And then she would have to beat him too. 

Although the odds of knowing another Brain Burster seems low as there are only 1,000 of them..... 

Haru handled all this news pretty well, with a good understanding of gaming and how weird this sounds. He gave good ideas even though Kuroyuki had already tried most of them. And while this plan doesn’t really benefit Haru he has agreed to help out the butterfly girl. I thought his reaction to Chiyuri possibly being a Brain Burster too was natural. I am sure over time he will become suspicious of everyone and anyone but for now it is like NOOO not my friend. But then he still agreed to help Kuroyuki so that shows me he isn’t totally stupid. 

Making jokes that just felt flat and forced. 

Haru and Takumu were awkward together. Maybe that is because they both like the same girl and Takumu thinks Chiyuri likes Haru more? I don’t know, it just feels weird. Hopefully we get to see more of their relationship. I am sure Takumu will end up defending Haru from bullies, Haru will get mad, and Takumu will be one of the Kings. 

 And then Takumu walks in?

Did I touch on everything? The only complaint I have is the dialogue and the video were not in sync. Add in the fact that I had to read subtitles and it was a bit hard to enjoy. But I guess that is not the fault of the actual episode is it? XD And now it seems like it is all fixed so RARW! So I guess it was worth the wait. Now it is King hunting! Well after Haru gets off Chiyuri….
