Clannad

Despite complaining about the last series I watched, I did not switch it up and I stuck with the romance shojo genre. I either do not learn from mistakes or I hope for the best. Also (once again) I decided to go with what others have said that were popular (the sheep says baaa) and went with Clannad to watch next. After two episodes, I was left with a happy impression of the show.

Slighty dark atmosphere....

Who is she talking too...

The show starts off dreary with Tomoya walking to school, acting as if his life is in the pits and school is not worth attending. He comes across a girl named Nagisa who is talking to herself. She is trying to give herself a pep talk it seems and Tomoya speaks to her in a positive way and suddenly the show has color. Tomoya later hangs out with his friend Youhei after a little bit of tough love from some bigger students. Tomoya happens upon Nagisa eating lunch alone. Despite his negative outlook on life, he seems very positive with her and tries to cheer her up. During the next two episodes, we are slowly introduced to other characters that include: Kyou the overprotective older twin with a crazy attitude, Ryou the younger twin who is shy and reserved, Kotomi the genius with poor common sense skills, Tomoyo the transfer student with super strength, and Fuko the random crazy kid who makes no sense.

Under this school plot/Harlem atmosphere lurks something else, slightly darker. Nagisa claims she was giving herself a pep talk, but it looked like she was talking to someone else. Nagisa claims she was sick last year and flunked out and that is why she has no friends. There are scenes with something else talking, talking about THIS GIRL is the only girl in the world and nothing is born and nothing dies in this world. It has been mentioned by red shirt students that there is a ghost of a young girl who has been seen around school. The girl in the scenes with the ominous voice looks like Nagisa, but in the anime world, everyone sorta looks like everyone else. I would not be surprised if Nagisa is the ghost, but then again, she could have a dead twin sister. A little mystery is good in my book. With only two episodes under my belt, I don’t know much yet. Hopefully it will be enjoyable.

I wish to know more...

Not one of the girls is so incredibly annoying I want to slam my head into the nearest wall. Sure Nagisa may come across klutz and dependent, but she has done so in a cute manner. Her family members are over the top, but enjoyable. I especially enjoyed her father’s attitude in regards to changing Tomoya’s name. Ryou is the shy girl who needs to work on being outspoken, but her scenes have been limited and revolve around Kyou. Kyou is the typical psycho older sister with attitude and she is fun to watch. My favorite scene about her so far is when Tomoya announces she is bi-sexual when she requests he hid the fact she rides a bike. Kotomi’s scene in the library trying to cut up the books was very odd…as was Fuko’s scene trying to carve a star with a dull knife. All the girls come across as odd actually, leading me to believe this school is for freaks. But freaks are fun. I expect them all to fall in love with Tomoya despite his cold personality he keeps inside.

Best random line EVER!

One of the cutest thing about this show…are the dumplings. The ending theme song has little dumplings being a happy family and my eyes nearly bugged out of my head at the sheer amount of cuteness invading my brain. Then in episode two, it seems as if Nagisa is a fan of the show Big Dumpling Family and sings the theme song as she draws dumpling all over her flyers for the theater club. The dumplings are a very cute mascot for this show and I hope to see more references to them.

In a typical romance animes, everything starts off cute and innocent and later down the road it is revealed there is a dark secret or past behind some of the characters. This show brings it up right off the bat. Tomoya has a drunken father, which has been done before, but he has been injured due to a fight he and his father had. Nagisa has had to deal with whatever this illness is and the loss of her friends. Then there is the “ghost”/voice talking about dark matters on the show. This show almost had a The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya type opening, with the grey background and the monotone voice talking about ordinary life. I like the slightly darker aspect of this show and I hope it finds a good balance between the laughs and the tears.

Drama already in episode two!

There was one thing that made me go Huh? in the two episodes I watched. Nagisa stated in episode one she was afraid to try out for the drama/theater group because she had a weak body. But then in episode two, she states that she is athletic and wants to play basketball….Unless this ties into that creepy voice in the log house scene stuff, I want to know how this makes sense. :P Yes anime, make sense to me please!

Of course one of the biggest draws to this show…was how it is drawn. I love the style of it and how the boys are not these big giants over the girls. I actually find Youhei quite feminine at times. I find their uniforms cute without being slutty. And being the biggest hypocrite in the world, find the purple hair LOVELY on the girls.

After only two episodes, I am pretty impressed with this show. I can only hope that Clannad pulls the rest of the episodes off well and some real plot can come forth. I have heard nothing but great things about this show and I really REALLY hope it lives up to the hype. Live up to this stunning review Clannad and don’t leave this author hanging on any plotlines you start!

La Corda d'oro series review

I kept my word and watched every episode of La Corda d'oro...and I am a bit bitter and disappointed by the whole series. All I read were tons of reviews talking about how awesome the show was and I wonder if I am really that picky or was the awesome left out of my fan subs.

I suppose my first problem was the fact....that despite being a shojo anime and that the theme was suppose to be ROMANTIC feelings, nothing ever happened. It was a lot of blushing and "oh, my music feels better when Kahoko is listening to in". Not one kiss in the entire series with all those guys falling over her...is a bit ridiculous in my mind. I was really rooting for Ryoutarou, even though at times Kazuki seemed like the better choice. But no, no romance was to be had at all. I think that defeats the purpose of classify this as a romance anime.

At times, I felt as if this show had Dr. Quinn syndrome. For those of you who do not know what syndrome I am talking about, let me explain. Ms. Dr. Quinn leaves the big city and becomes the doctor of "small town" folk. Every single week she would have to teach these hicks how to love a certain person/situation of the day. Sometimes it was a black family, a Native American, Chinese works, the Hispanic teacher, ect. But some next Saturday (it's airing date), these town folk have forgotten their lessons of love and were back to hating on someone else. It was never ending cycle. THAT IS WHAT THIS SHOW FELT LIKE! It was like every single day Kahoko woke up and remembered she really could not play the violin (50 first dates anyone). It was so boring watching her angst over the same topic day after day. THE LIE SHE IS LIVING!!! I was getting sick watching people compliment her, because I knew 5 more minutes of self pity were coming my way. She was given a magical violin by a fairy, DUH SHE CAN NOT PLAY IT FOR REAL!!!! I do not know why she was so upset about it all the time, either stop playing it or cheat and play. Of course, when the violin broke from her "intense feelings", it was awesome how she did not want to play anymore. I laughed at her situation....then cried for the next two episodes when everyone was trying to make her play again.

WHAT?! I SUCK?!

THE LIES!!!

Which leads me to my next point....was everyone brain dead or in on this magical violin deal? This general education student (which apparently is one level above pond scum in this anime) just all of a sudden gets picked to be in the concours. Ryoutarou gets picked as well, but it is shown later he is truly talented, Kahoko is not. She tells the other participates later she just started to play the violin. Do they just accept this crazy truth and decide she is a magical genius? Perhaps her uneven hair cut confused them all. Perhaps they were too busy wondering why she was crying all the time when complimented. However, the most STUPID moments for the rest of the cast comes after the violin breaks. After she spends all that time trying to pretend to be happy hanging out with her boring friends and goes back to her true love the VIOLIN, she sucks hard at it. I am sure it sounds like what I would play if given a violin. There is no possible way a week or two away from something can make you suck THAT badly. Something obviously happen...but not obviously enough for all the other people on the show. They decide it is just nerves that got to her and she is working hard to make up for her short comings. I call bullcrap. I would have been calling her a cheater and demanding an investigation (yeah, in case you have not figured it out by now, I can be a bitch. However, I prefer to see it as being honest). She continues to suck for a while, but all the characters cheer her on for doing her best..her best was awful and made me cry. Thanks for making me cry writers.

YAY! Everyone loves me WOOT!

WTF was up with Yunoki? He was the guy from the nice family and would someday help with the family business. At least bitter third son Kyoya from Host Club was EVIL from the start and pretended to be nice in front of customers. What reason did Yunoki have for being so evil to Kahoko (besides the fact she was a cry baby cheater?!). It was so random and it came out of left field. However, Kahoko just kept...allowing herself to be alone with this person SHE KNEW was a liar. His little sob story about how being the third son meant he could never be "better than his brothers (never understood that part) and he was tired of his perfect life so he had to amuse himself with the suffering of others did not touch me Sorry, that is too Host Club for me and it worked better when it was 2 (3) people.

The only episode where his head looks good.

I wanted to blow my brains out every time Keiichi talked. Of course he was eye candy, but his voice...the slowness of the delivery...WHY?!?! How does staying up all night=pot head attitude? He was slow and never had anything useful to say. He was just...there. He was boring, boring, and boring. Oh, did I mention boring?! I mean, if his back story had been something interesting like he has to work nights to put food on the table for his starving orphaned siblings, I would have found him way more interesting. But no, the little crazy blond just loses track of time. Instead of sounding sleepy, he sounds doped up and slow minded. His subtle love for Kahoko is beyond vague at times...yeah, he was boring.

Freak!

I think the writers for this show expected the viewers to have the I.Q. of gold fish. They repeat material over and over again and expect us to think it is new (and no, I am not talking about random girl in audience with her eyes closed). Kahoko decides early on in the series she loves the violin. So it was like a twilight zone moment when in episode 17, she declares her love for the violin. Didn’t that already happen when Lili took her violin away? Isn’t that WHY she got the violin back?! Of course, there were plenty of repeating I am a liar moments, but if I practice hard, it makes up for in scenes that I already mentioned. I also found it magical how everyone found their reason to keep playing in Kahoko, a magical repeating theme. It also makes me wonder what everyone’s reasons was before they meet her….but then I realized I didn’t care. The constant GASPING when someone was playing and commenting how good they were was also de ja vu for me. Being that they are all skilled musicians (cough), why are they so shocked when people deliver awesome performances? Isn’t that what they are supposed to do?! So many repeating moments, so little desire to remember them all.

This next issue is probably my own fault, as I am not educated on classical music…but was I suppose to be able to tell the difference in pitches and “moods”? When the characters would talk about, wow his style has changed or oh, he isn’t playing the same, it was totally lost on me. It all sounded the same to me and the comments they made or the judges made were either really petty or so awesome they went over my head into some other realm of understanding. However, listening to the music was nice at times and I managed to keep my eyes opened unlike most of the characters.

Here are all the "last moments" and how people touched her...

The thing that bothered me the most about this show was the ending. I am not counting episode 26/Special Episode as the ending as it sucked even worse in regards to actual plot. So these 7 kids are working hard to bring music to everyone and it is all cupcakes and rainbows…BUT WHO WON?! Yeah, that would have been a nice thing to tell the audience who wasted over 8 hours of their lives being toyed with! I suppose we are to love how everyone gave it their best and not focus on such petty things like winners….whatever. The ending had Kahoko and her former first accompanist Souji practicing really fast while the other six members played. The random redemption of Souji was thrown in at the end, how lovely. During her practice, Kahoko thinks about all the other members as she plays and of course they are thinking of her while they play and it shows a scene of Kahoko and whoever she is thinking of at the time playing together with flowers in the background (in case it was not already blatantly clear they were all in love with her). Kahoko then rushes on stage and delivers a pretty decent performance (which is magical in itself since days before, she was sounding pretty bad…even WORSE than when she first was trying to play the violin without the magical strings of love). Everyone cheers and is touched. At the very end, all the boys play a special song for Kahoko instead of one boy actually kissing her. It all ends with smiles and laughter, because that is what music is truly about….and apparently Kahoko taught them that. It was just one big Duh and oh, I saw that coming.

There are other things about the show that bothered me as well, like the trying to tie everyone together back-story issue or how Yunoki magically came back from England. Some parts seemed very meaningless, like showing the random flashbacks of the teacher’s drunken past and the journalist entire role in the anime. It was nice seeing a show just about music in an attempt to balance all the sport ones. It had potential to be a good romance anime, but the romance never got off the ground. There was just so much about this show that made me 0_0 I wondered why it was popular at all?! Is it just the eye candy and the cute girl trying her best that hooked everyone in? Was the manga so awesome everyone felt obligated to watch the anime as well? Whatever it is, La Corda d'oro is a big PASS in my book. Maybe I will steal my friend’s manga one of these days and see if the storyline was actually killed by the anime company. At least I know what all the fuss was about know…and part of me wishes I didn’t.

R.I.P: Toonami 1997-2008

As I was searching forums to see how Anime Weekend Atlanta went, I came across some shocking news: Toonami is dead! :O I was shocked, but apparently it was announced at one of the panels. :( This news has greatly sadden me, as I think Toonami was a great tool that spreading the love of anime to many people. Granted most of us hate dubbing and cringe at the scene deleting, it still got our foot into the door and left us wanting more. That and the fact it was 11 years old also shocked me 0_0 Have I been into anime that long already?!

This truly is not a good sign for the anime industry with their sales already falling due to….fan subbers (BAD SUBBERS). Granted I have not been watching Toonami religiously for a while now, it and Adult Swim introduced many anime titles to the U.S. There are already rumors Adult Swim is cutting back on the anime they show. This generation of anime watchers want anime and they want it NOW! Without a channel to watch their favorite shows, they will turn to the internet to get their fix (more drug references.) I think that whoever is in charge of this change is making a big mistake. The anime community has grown over the years and they are getting younger all the time, making them a very marketable audience. The other shows on Cartoon Network seem to run together with their themes of worthlessness and awful drawing (the only one I can think of is Chowder, but they are other stupid shows that look exactly the same with the same nonsense plot).If Cartoon Network thinks they are saving money from licensing and red tape, I hope they have fun producing mind numbing shows to their limited audience.

I have bittersweet memories of Toonami. I remember walking home faster from school just so I could make it in time for my favorite show (THUNDERCATS HO!!!!!...back when Ho was not used in that manner :P). I would say wow, that show looks too weird….then would watch every episode after it. :O it really was my first step into the anime world and the hundreds of departed dollars from my wallet. I remember Tom, back you know…when there was just regular Tom, not 3 or 4 (I really did not like Moltar so I tended to change the channel when he was on). It is like when a restaurant closes down that you have not been to in a while, you still feel sad remembering all the times you had fun there…and knowing you can never go back.

Here is a look back to the shows I wanted on Toonami. :(

.hack//SIGN- I know they only aired a few episodes, but it got me interested in the series and the different music available.

Cardcaptors- KidsWB murdered the show I know. However, it got more people interested in the series which means lots more cosplayers for me to enjoy.

Dragon Ball Z- NEXT TIME ON DRAGON BALL Z: NAMEK WILL BLOW UP IN 20 SECONDS!!! Seriously, sometimes the plot was slow, but Dragon Ball Z was almost like..a gate way anime. Better than pot!

Gundam Wing-Gundam Wing was an awesome series! My friends and I had our favorite characters and wrote stories about them in high school all the time! “We shouldn’t be fighting at all!!!”. It actually was great dubbed.

Naruto-I watched a few episodes here and there. I think Naruto is what brought a lot of kids into the anime scene now…which may be a good or bad thing…

Outlaw Star- I still have this tapped (on VHS, gimmie a break and refrain from calling me old). I thought the plot was cool and interesting at the time (still do). I have seen the original version, so I am not sure if it was a good dub.

Pokémon- everyone has seen at least one episode of pokemon. If you say you haven’t, you are a liar!

Robotech- I was really young at the time, so much of the plot was probably lost on me. I believe this is the first series I watched where a MAIN CHARACTER died and I was in shock. 0_0

Sailor Moon-This is my anime that started it all! I actually thought this was a show I saw as a child before I went to school (the opening sequences looked familiar or it could have been the same, I really only remember 3 girls dancing, like at the very beginning). I know the dubbed for sailor moon was VERY bad. I didn’t know how bad it was until I went online and noticed it was anime not a cartoon. Yes folks, that is when I discovered anime existed. I spent a lot of time printing pictures out and reading about how there was this thing called “manga” in Japan. Then, on my 15th birthday (It might have been 14th) my father bought me Act One (Comic Volume 1) of sailor moon. He had found an anime shop and thought perhaps I would like it. Yep, the anime that started it all. (it may or may not have started by bootlegging anime style. Kids, you have it lucky nowadays. I have most of sailor moon fan subbed in VHS form!! BE GRATEFUL!).

Tenchi Muyo!- This was one of my husband’s favorite shows. I miss the days of add on bathing suits. :(it had a lot of different spin offs. Got us hooked enough on the series to buy three of the movies.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX-it was a lot easier to watch this series in the afternoon that getting up early on Saturday morning!

Blue Submarine No. 6-I really do not remember much of this series, but remember thinking wtf 0_0

So folks, it is not looking good for network anime. :( Soon there might be a blog here dedicated to Adult Swim. I have many awesome memories from the shows I watched and how it changed my life (dramatic much?!). Perhaps something bigger and better will come along and blow Toonami out of the water. Perhaps the anime industry will smarten up and devote an entire website to just streaming anime and charging people a monthly fee (except me of course). I will remember you fondly Toonami. Thanks for giving us all shows to talk about and a connection to that dream land we call Japan. You and Tom will be missed.

Code Geass R2 Episode 24

ALL HAIL THE PRINCESS OF IGNORANCE PART TWO!

0_0 that was my first reaction after watching episode 24. More people are dropping like flies! Lots of battles to keep track off and back stabbing is still taking place! With only one episode left, how many people are going to be left standing?!

This is your chance, kill her!!

Let's start off with the sad news: Nina did not stop F.L.E.I.J.A. by flinging her dead body into the ray. She is last seen hiding from the surviving Black Knights. She gives Lelouch the items and information needed for stopping F.L.E.I.J.A.. Chances are she will live to see another table. Cornelia is STILL not dead. I have no idea what would kill her at this point, as she has to be a robot. And was she talking to Guilford?! DOES ANYONE STAY DEAD?! We saw him get F.L.E.I.J.Aed to save Lelouch, how did he live....-__-. Whatever, they can run off into the sunset and make some purple haired babies.

WHY WON'T YOU DIE?!

This was unexpected...

The good news: Diethard died. HEHEHE! The little crazy deserved it too. Lelouch wouldn't even use the Geass on him in the end, glad he died like the dog he is. The hostages and Sayoko seem like they are going to live to see the end of the series now. C.C. and Lelouch had another moment which made me happy.

OH SNAP!!

The way Lelouch "beat" Schneizel was priceless. I literally went HOLY **** when Lelouch put his hand on his shoulder (Had Diethard not been a complete moron, he would have killed before he gave the command). The moment was priceless and the ultimate I WIN plan. However, at this stage in the game, everyone will know Lelouch geassed Schneizel to listen to him, so using the "we worked things out" speech won't work. It is possible Lelouch will still fling Schneizel and his own body into some fiery blaze and hand the throne over to Ms. Princess Idiot, but we shall see. Perhaps there is a chance that Lelouch will make it yet!

I always knew he was a crazy person...

Yes, Ms Princess Idiot is still alive. Call me mean and evil, but when she fell out of her wheelchair, I was hoping for her to fall off the edge and died. BUT NO!! After spending half the episode blowing people to oblivion with the F.L.E.I.J.A., she manages to find the nifty wand key she dropped and get herself up in her wheelchair before Lelouch walked in. Then SURPRISE, she opens her eyes and thinks she is way too awesome for Lelouch to use the geass on her. Well, at this point Ms. Princess Idiot, you are the biggest threat by pushing buttons that kills "innocent" people. Let's have her stop pretending to be a martyr and actually MAKE her one. We all know Lelouch has been talking a big game lately and both Lelouch and Schneizel have stated they were willing to sacrifice her for the sake of world peace/ Zero Requiem. But will Lelouch have the balls to get that magical wand from her hands and use the Geass on her if need be? The little twit has no idea what is going on in the world and is willing to decide the fate of the world by using personal feelings and false information get in the way. Sure I am being hard on her, but she pissed me off.....Just all of a sudden opened her eyes. If I find out she was able to open her eyes from the second her dad died, so help me! Btw, Princess Idiot is doing a great job of making people forget all about murder Princess Euphemia.

Fall Fall FALL!

YES! She fell!!!..Too bad it was not off the side..

So here how it stands in this episode. Both sides have suffered heavy red shirt losses. Most "special" Nightmares have been destroyed. C.C., Tohdoh, and Tamaki ejected to safety before they could blow up. Gino had his Nightmare destroyed. The only main Nightmares that are still functional are those owned by Suzaku, Kallen, Nagisa (but she is too busy making love eyes at Tohdon), and Li Xingke (but he is too busy saving his princess and coughing up blood). Schneizel is no longer the enemy as he has been geassed to listen to Lelouch (I cannot for the life of me remember the guys name with the stupid hat that is always by Schneizel side...is he a brother too?!). Cornelia and Guilford are alive and on Horai Island. Oh, Jeremiah and his Nightmare are still flying around in the sky as well. Suzaku is facing off against Kallen and half of Gino. C.C. is taking a water nap after being blasted. Nina is still alive ( :( ). Lelouch is confronting Ms Princess Idiot and her huge purple eyes of doom! With only one episode to go, it is anyone's guess how it will end (although the author is not holding her breath for her yaoi ending). We know the world WILL get peace, we just do not know who will be the one to lead that peace. We will find out in 7 days how this anime ends and I cannot wait for it!

La Corda d'oro

While I am impatiently waiting for Shugo Chara to get the latest episodes subbed, I decided to watch a new anime. And by new I mean something that came out last year and everyone was talking about. I enjoy being the last one to blog about things, makes me feel special. After searching for a proper place to view my anime (as my usual source had this anime dubbed with a different color for every character x_X), I sat down and watched the first 3 episodes of Kin'iro no Corda or it’s better known title (or at least what I knew it by) La Corda d'oro.

Sexy little trumpet.

Kahoko is running late to school, because that is how all animes have to start off with, a running to school scene. She attends Seisou Academy, a school that is divided by normal students and musically gifted ones. While she runs past a statue, she hears a voice and it turns out to be a fairy named Lili. He was once rescued by the man who founded the school and in return, Lili stays at the school to fulfill the promise of blessing it with music. Kahoko against her will is given a violin and entered in the schools concours (sort of like a competition). Then Kahoko is introduced to all the hot people who play instruments at the school and has to learn how to play the magical violin with the will of her heart.

This actually explains the whole first episode!

This anime is full of eye candy, although I am not really attracted to the weird colors they decided on for these characters’s hair. The colors did not bother me during Fushigi Yuugi, but it does in this for some reason. All the males take on the typical roles in shojo anime. Len Tsukimori (some people say it is Ren) is the blue haired butthead who acts like there is a stick up his butt and playing music is NOT fun. This author guesses that he will fall in love with Kahoko and she will teach him the real meaning of music. Ryotaro Tsuchiura is a green haired boy who can play the piano, but up to episode 3, he wants to keep it a secret for some reason. I am sure the reason will be all dramatic and he will play again to make Kahoko happy. Kazuki Hihara also has green hair, but he is the genki character, full of sunshine and happiness. Azuma Yunoki has long purple hair (something that I find really ridiculous, but it is anime after all) and is the male in school with a fangirl club. He seems nice and sweet so far, so that must mean that his father use to abuse him as a child or something. Keiichi Shimizu is the blond hair 1st year student who has a severe sleeping problem. Kahoko will most likely consider him to be like her younger brother. I am sure all of these men will fall in love with Kahoko, but the two that stand a chance will be Len and Ryotaro. Len seems like a jerk, so I will go with Ryotaro for now. There are also a few male teachers that are there to provide guidance and be eye candy as well.

There are some girls in this show too. Shouko Fuyuumi is the only girl besides Kahoko in this contest and she seems very unsure of herself. Kahoko has some buddies that hang around her sometimes. There is a journalist girl who seems to be all over the place, but I find her boring. And of course, since this is a school that divides people up by abilities, there are the mean girls. Hopefully some of these girls get the left over eye candy.

The whole concept behind this show is a little annoying. This concours is supposed to be a competition of sorts for students who can play an instrument. Kahoko cannot without the aid of some magical fairy. I think that is cheating in a way, as it is not her true talent shining though, but the desire in her heart. I can desire to be an artist too, but that does not mean it is going to happen. Lili says that he has promised to fill the school with music so he has to pick Kahoko to play the violin. Well, that school is full of lots of musicians, why does he need to make a false one? It really does not make any sense to pick her as she was not TRYING to be a musician and failing. I hope she does not win the overall concert too and there is more meaning behind why he chose her in the first place.

The art was a bit messy at times and I mentioned the colors were a bit out there for me. I did enjoy the different colored ties the different grades wore. I like animes that try to incorporate the Japanese culture in them, but I saw students wearing boots, that was a bit of a down point for me (that is kind of picky of me…). However, I have not watched an anime that focuses on music so much, so perhaps I will grow to appreciate the art form more and learn something.

After three episodes, I was a little bored at the typical roles people were fulfilling and how the main girl is once again surrounded by hot men who will fall in love with her. This show seems very slow paced and angst at times. I will try to watch all 24 episodes. It really isn’t that bad, perhaps I have just watched too much shojo anime and I start getting bored with the same plots (of course it is my favorite genre, I am insane for hating what I love!!). Also, I am watching this anime without ever picking up the manga and 9 out of 10 times, the manga is better (I think the manga is still ongoing for this series). I am a little tired today, so perhaps my rambles are a little grumpy. :P I will post about how I feel about the end of the series. I hope the rest of the series picks up and draws me into the music magic. :)
